He lost the title to the Sandman in a Tables, Ladders, Chairs, and Canes match also involving Justin Credible on January 7th 2001 at Guilty as Charged. Steve Corino won the NWA title from Mike Rapada on April 24th 2001 in Tampa, FL. The title was held up on October 13th 2001 after a match with Shinya Hashimoto.
