50's music

My preferred decades of music is 50's - 90's, I think these decades have the best music we will ever hear in our entire lives.

When it comes to knowledge of songs, I would say the 50's is the weakest for me, so, even though I do listen to some 50's tunes, as a whole, if people were to quiz me on the decade of music, I wouldn't be able to name each song and artist as well as other decades.

My dad was born in 1953 and has recollection of some songs, though, he was obviously very young, but, obviously they played some 50's tunes in the 60's, like we hear songs on the radio now from other decades. Anyway, I have recently gotten myself more in to discovering music from the 50's, was wondering if anyone else enjoyed it? Artists from that time I do like that I had known from before are Elvis, Chuck Berry, Bobby Darin, Buddy Holly, just to name a few. My dad was visiting yesterday and we were watching videos of the greatest songs of all time and they of course had the greats from the 50's, and some I didn't know, but, my dad did.

The first four radio stations in my car are Next Wave (70’s/80’s), 80’s on 8, 90’s on 9 and 50’s on 5, so I’d say our tastes are pretty similar.

I love 50’s music and listen to it religiously while I’m working.

Gonna put it out there and say I've only really listened to 50's and 60's music because of Fallout New Vegas but I really do love it a lot.

Nat King Cole was amazing.
