Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) - Netflix

I was decently into it for about 40 minutes until it went off the rails with dogs knocking people out of windows and them fighting like an action movie, and then that whole went on which made me lose it. I wished it'd just kept it simple tbh. It is true they did those 00s reboots before...

Bryan Danielson Says Putting A Group Together Is One Of His Goals In AEW

I would have said no to this a couple months ago but with him heeling it up already, I say go for it.
  3. GARBAGE

    Garbage thread

Yeah I'm reading that he got trained at the performance centre 2015 and made his actual NXT debut in 2018 and then basically did crap all before they released him six months ago. How unfortunate and wasteful. Still, might check him out against Hero and Riddle sometime.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) - Netflix

Wikipedia: Is this just a weak attempt to go after Halloween's new success or? Whatever, I'm kind of a horror nerd so I'll force myself to watch it, but reboots/etc overall and this involving enough people who were responsible for that mess Don't Breathe make me pessimistic.

Classic Smokey Mountain Wrestling Discussion Thread

https://www.youtube.com/user/DownNDirtyTN/videos This channel has tons of SMW, would be most of everything that actually made tv.
  6. GARBAGE

    Garbage thread

Stan Hansen vs. Akira Taue (AJPW Champion's Carnival 4/11/94) Very good match and an excellent Stan Hansen performance, who's tasked almost with being the babyface working from the bottom (Stan Hansen!), but some of Taue's offense being pretty soft dragged this down a little. Hansen has busted...

    N64 FINALLY coming to Switch

One game. They've let me down so hard already I might buy a Steam deck if emulators can run on it. I'm about 97% sure I'll buy one if it could run a PS2 emulator.
  8. GARBAGE

The WWE-recognised most decorated wrestler in history

My guess was it'd be Randy Orton based on him being a top guy for so long and also based on, unlike somebody like Cena, never going the fuck away. But then I went to Wikipedia and Cena + HHH beat him for titles pretty easily. It gets a little more up in the air between those two if Rumbles...

Aliyah caught reading a script to cut her promo

WWE even scripts what the interviewers say (it was in that leaked Smackdown script not long ago) because they're a decrepit, synthetic, awful promotion run by human tumours, so I'll always blame them for scripting things to this degree in the first place. While it was a simple promo that she...

    Donnie watches WWWWF 1979

It takes a leg break angle for Strongbow to actually sell something decently lmao. I want to watch the match again sometime soon because I thought it was borderline great thanks basically entirely to Valentine. Strongfake :gaga (aw)

    Grim Rants About Wrestling

I really wish WWE put all the OVW tv on the network so we could see what the Ricos, Bashams, Dinsmores, etc were doing before they were called up and given a gimmick that would never properly get over (or in the case of Dinsmore, just be one of the worst things ever). Doug Basham especially...

    Donnie watches WWWWF 1979

I had to google Von Wagner, thought it was another one of those Chikara or Scottish wrestlers you invent to try to make me look foolish. POLE ANT. Yeah I'd assume 79 DiBiase's more or a less seasoned version of his babyface Mid-South self. That Flair match/angle is total magic as a tv segment...

    Donnie watches WWWWF 1979

Pole AND Bill Berger? Colombian Jaguar too!! WWE try desperately to create interesting ring names for NXT guys when they already peaked in the 70s. Babyface DiBiase in New York is kind of surreal sounding, would very much like to go through it one day.

If you could write a letter to yourself at 17

I just assumed they didn't have it here so I wrote it like that haha. They've even got CAL emojis on here. :cal Sadly missing walphtf though.
  15. GARBAGE

If you could write a letter to yourself at 17

I saw the Punk/Kingston pic in your sig and thought in was in the post, and that the your post would be just telling yourself to be hyped for that hahah. But nah for how long I've known you now reading this was something else. I'd hope if anything too you could tell your 17 year old self you've...

    Donnie watches WWWWF 1979

......was someone's ring name actually just "Pole"? Please say yes I want this to be true more than anything. Edit - just noticed you wrote about a Valentine vs. Strongbow already. Pretty sure I've not seen that one though, the match I meant is I think on 7/21.
  17. GARBAGE

    Donnie watches WWWWF 1979

I had no idea Tito Santana was there in 1979 squashing dudes, sounds rad. DiBiase vs. Rodd sounds pretty hot too. If it aired on their weekly tv, you should almost be up to Valentine vs. Strongbow aka maybe the best carry job I've seen. Strongbow's hulk up in it is lmaooo.

What are your most 'surprisingly good' matches?

FUCK how did I forget this one, we just talked about it last week.
  19. GARBAGE

What are your most 'surprisingly good' matches?

The Rousey debut tag definitely, was super fun seeing everyone buzzing from it. I'd actually count Cena vs. Lesnar at Extreme Rules. Lesnar had a mediocre NJPW run and his last American match was the Goldberg fiasco. Who saw the megaclassic coming?
  20. GARBAGE

    Nobuhiko Takada

    (A) My point was Takada vs. Mutoh and Hashimoto drew record crowds and why would those matches even be booked on such a grand stage if Takada wasn't a big time performer? Hashimoto vs. Mutoh didn't even draw that much in 95, and Takada even sold out the arena facing Gary Albright. I have no clue...
