General Chit-Chat Thread - No Spoilers

same 1998 would be a good reset point on the time machine if things go wrong

I'm getting there. Sabu/RVD were so good in 1996. It was interesting too seeing Tommy Dreamer go from white bread to being a concussed maniac...Raven/Douglas brought a lot of that out of him for sure.

    Bob Saget passed away

Bob had a biting sense of humor that was a lot nastier than you would expect. I like that after being such a straight man for years, he wasn't afraid to shed that image if that's where his comedic side was taking him. It feels like just the other day Saget was mourning his pal Norm. I can't say...

I watched TNA and ROH in the late 2000s, some NJPW later and stopped watching for years. Missed The Shield, Wyatts etc.

basically I barely watch but when I do it's AEW or some old-school ECW, I am just about to enter 1997.

    The Smarks Film Club

Max Payne 3 jacked the entire aesthetic of Man on Fire, it's a good one to steal but you know you've made a damn powerhouse of an action film when video games take notice. Well, when Max Payne takes notice, would it even exist without The Matrix or John Woo? On the Pelham remake, I get it. The...

    The Smarks Film Club

Total contrarian asshole take here, but Tony Scott made better films than his brother Ridley. Man On Fire, Deja Vu, Pelham 1-2-3, Unstoppable, Domino, and Days of Thunder. He is a master of speed, keeping a fast pace in long action driven stories. I would much rather watch Days of Thunder than...

We have years of struggle ahead, mostly within ourselves.

    Last Video Game Played

Kane & Lynch 2 on the PS3. Something about ultra violence and mediocre gameplay filtered through late 2000s liveleak footage with compression artifacts and sound clipping, it's disgusting in a good way.

    10 years of WWEForums

Love this place. Somehow, as a devoted troll I survived like four different regimes. I can be pretty chaotic, lots of things change in my life but this forum was a constant. The writing is on the wall that we're soon going to have to plan a funeral, and I've dreaded that day. Although forums...

    RAW underground

They were less committed as the weeks went by, taking away the dancers etc until they pulled the plug a month or so into it. It wasn't an idea destined for greatness anyway, but it could've been interesting if they grew a fucking spine. Poor Shane.

What was the last movie you watched?

Was surprised by this for sure. Loved Kristen Stewart as Diana almost writing herself out of dark history; watching that struggle with the inevitable is compelling. Last minute pick for something to watch that turned out to be one of my favorites of the year.
