WWE News: Peacock bid for WWE PLE package revealed - F4W/WON https://share.google/7IoktErPvivom5oYc

Peacock offered 25 Million less per year than ehat ESPN offered. Not sure if it was for 5 years or not.

I have not really been trying to get too involved in this because there is more conflict than I am comfortable with. Plus I know my situation is not all encompassing. One of the first things they teach you in stats is that anecdotal events are not representative of the whole.

At this point, if I subscribe to all of the services to get the PLE's, Smackdown, Raw, NXT and archive content, it will cost me more per month than I was paying before the WWE Network came around.

However, people at WWE, I am sure, know that there are people like me who have watched the product through good and bad and will continue to do so.

But even I have my limits. If the archive content switches over to ESPN, then I could justify cancelling Peacock and subbing to the ESPN service. But even that would be difficult but Peacock offers me a lot more than just WWE. Otherwise, I will keep the service with the archive content and have to figure out the other stuff.

Honestly, my feeling right now is that this is a huge step backward, not forward. I have stuck with WWE longer than most of you have been alive. If something is endangering my viewership, they should be concerned.

I understand businesses taking the deals that offer them more money. But they also have to realize, the more that money comes out of the pockets of the people who support them, the more likely it is to fail. An intelligent business person would try to find a balance. They would find a way to make the most money they can without putting too much pressure on the fans who pay their bills. I do not feel this deal is doing that.

WWE isn't Apple. They can't rely on millions of people to pay outrageous prices for prestige.

BREAKING - WWE Clash In Paris is set to be the last PLE on Peacock:

"The WWE deal with Peacock for PLEs is going to wrap up with Clash In Paris. It appears all future events are going to be airing through ESPN.

"So apparently what happened was they had the deal with Peacock and they were contracted to x number of pay-per-view (PLE) dates. And so because this year had two nights of SummerSlam, which is an extra PLE, the second night, and because they added the women's Evolution show - and there might have been another show or two that they added, but I know for sure it was the second night of SummerSlam and Evolution - they have reached their quota.

"So the final show on Peacock is Clash In Paris, and then everything's going to be moving to ESPN.

"What that means for Peacock through the end of this deal, which is, I think it's like the middle of 2026, still a lot of questions that need to be answered, such as what's going to happen to the library. I know there's been a lot of discussion that the library may end up going to YouTube. I'm sure there are a lot of other people in the running as well. But that is a question yet to be answered.

"And there is a possibility that different shows will air on Peacock between now and the end of the deal - Saturday Night's Main Events might end up on Peacock.

"NXT, I don't know. That's a question as well. As far as I know, they may continue to air on Peacock.

"All I know for sure is WWE PLEs, Clash In Paris, that's it, then they're going to be going to ESPN."

I can't imagine a world where SNME isn't on Peacock regardless of anything to do with the PLE or library deal bc it's an NBC product and NBC tends to simulcast those sporting type events on Peacock. Maybe the replay is what's in question here, but live broadcast should still be there as long as the show is on NBC. That's a completely separate broadcast deal that's not tied to the former WWE network

Well that definitely has to suck for people still watching. Not sure if they will get the other providers on board by then. Lot of folks about to break out the ol pirate hat.

Yeah the best way to watch everything now is just cable again lol it gives you NBC, CW, USA and the new ESPN app (most likely unless yours takes forever to add this). Then you just have Netflix for Raw.

Kinda glad they're moving early myself so I don't have to wonder how it'll go longer lol bc I'm very curious on the entire new ESPN app in general

Like when Dish is added I'll probably use it for other content they will have, im sure something good will be there. But yeah for people who's have it, having cable or satellite is a good thing now.

I think the app goes live tomorrow.

Saturday Night's Main Event is staying on Peacock and will be exclusive to Peacock (not sure if that means it's not going to be shown on NBC as well)

Doesn't WWE have an existing contract with Peacock to air their PLE shows? Wouldn't the switch violate that agreement?

The article Dale posted from Alvarez meanders it's way to explaining it, something about them doing extra shows this year satisfying the contract early. Probs just a negotiation by both sides for an early release tho, not unlike when Fox let go of SmackDown early for USA to take on

Saturday Night’s Main Event will stream in primetime exclusively on Peacock four times each year, featuring WWE’s top Superstars, rivalries, championship matches, and more.

Peacock will exclusively stream two nights of Saturday Night’s Main Events this year, with the first taking place on November 1. Additionally, Saturday Night’s Main Event on Dec. 13 will feature John Cena in his retirement match.

The WWE Network library will remain available on Peacock through the end of 2025, and NXT Premium Live Events will be available on Peacock until March 2026.

Throughout the term of the partnership, the SmackDown library will remain on Peacock on a 30-day delay and USA Network will continue as the live exclusive home of SmackDown on Friday nights.
