The opening contest for the event was a one-on-one men’s division match. For the WWE Cruiserweight Championship which saw the current champion TJ Perkins©. Attempting to defend the gold against the “Man Gravity Forgot” aka Neville. Despite a good showing from the defending champion his fate was sealed after a Red Arrow off the top rope from the challenger.

After that the “Phenomenal” AJ Styles© retained the WWE Championship in a triple threat match. Which also included two challengers, in the forms of both John Cena and the “Viper” Randy Orton. Orton laid Cena out with an RKO but then Styles broke up the following pin with a springboard 450 and he pinned Cena.

The challenger dominated early on in the penultimate match putting the hurt on the defending champion. However, Chris Jericho put an end to this by distracting Goldberg. Which allowed Owens to roll his opponent up with a handful of tights.

A returning Finn Balor representing Monday Night RAW and Apollo Crews from Friday Night Smackdown. Were the two men who drew numbers one and two to kickoff the Rumble.

One third of the fan favourite New Day in the form of Big E entered the match next. He grabbed Crews and hit a Big Ending. Then turned his attention to Balor and did the same to him.

Slater brawled with Big E while both Balor and Crews attempted to recover.

End of Days to Slater, Deep Six to Big E, End of Days to Balor.

The final two men inside the ring at the conclusion of the 2017 Royal Rumble match. Were a pair of men who at one stage in their careers were as close as brothers, well that was until one turned on the other. That’s right the final two men were Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins and there was no love loss between the two. When it was all said and done only one man could win the whole thing and it turned out to be Seth Rollins.
