To be fair, I’m not really entrenched with Hook either, but you can’t attack the logic of why he’s getting a title shot when he’s practically undefeated in 30 matches.

I've seen Eddie hate forever tbh that one isn't new to me, the Hook stuff was new for me, I only actually saw positive stuff about that lol

I haven’t paid too much attention to it but they’re basically calling him like the perfect candidate for the midCard trios since he’s an out of shape type of dude. Also, I think they were mocking his fight with Moxley. Specifically their slaps.

My biggest problem with FANDOM is the lack of consistency because Kingston has all the things that they used to complain about what cruiserweight wrestlers were lacking. He can cut a promo, he tells a story in the ring, and he legitimately looks like he could beat you in a fight.

Kingston is fucking great.

I would posit that most people embroiled in the discourse around the tweets are not "mad" about them. They just find them corny/lame/fatuous.

But there is the smaller sect of people actually pearl clutching, thinking USA are being derogatory or TK is bullying Jinder, both of which are silly perspectives to take I would say. Because yeah... it's tweets.

I just find it funny that Tony Khan would tweet about Jinder Mahal getting a random title shot when people like Ethan Page and Darius Martin randomly got world title shots last year.

Finding it lame is a subjective opinion anyway so people perfectly have the right to find anything he says lame. My only objection was the idea that they should have to be above it like they weren’t doing this long before social media existed anyway. It’s just one giant circle that has been going round and round since the competition existed.

Tony actually responded to someone talking about how Abadon got a title match recently and his response was that she won a match before that. So do you remember if either of those two guys won a match before their shot? :slip:

I misspoke, it was Dante Martin and not Darius, I keep forgetting which one was injury prone. Going by his match history before the title match with Hangman Page.....he almost wrestled exclusively on Dark and Dark: Elevation. before the title shot where half the time he was beating enhancement talent and Joey Janela. Ethan Page was in tag matches and randomly losing to Hook every time they wrestled.

Also if Danielson is the one who goes after people for what they say on social media, he should pull TK to the side and be like look, I know you love this company and will defend it to death but you're overdoing it on Twitter, boss.
