As long as this leads to Christian returning soon, then I am fine with it.

There's a small tease with this feud during the Cutting Edge segment with Matt Hardy where Edge tells him that most of the fans are rooting for his brother rather than him. I am satisfied on how to start the feud. I want to see Matt Hardy v.1 here but as I look on what happened at the Rumble, we might see a more serious heel Matt here, I just wish Matt could portray his character well...

^ You're right about Matt being a serious heel, I just don't know if he can pull it off. To me he just seems like he wouldn't be a good serious heel.

The more I think of it, the more I get convinced that by the time this is over, Matt Hardy will end up in a better place than Jeff.

^I think Matt is better than Jeff in the ring, but how over Jeff is and how the WWE crowd never seems to go for Matt, I just don't see that happening.

If any Hardy is going to win back a World (if you include ECW) Title, it should be Matt. I think this may be a push for Matt rather than Jeff. I feel it is the beginning of the end for Jeff. The end of his main-event push, anyway.

I still don't think this will lead to Matt being behind the attacks. I think it will be where Matt's ego got the best of him and he didn't want his brother to have a major title if he didn't. But then that would lead where they will be two feuds for him. So idk whats gonna happen here. I'm still hoping Christian is somehow involved in all this. Even if its as a face it will be good.

I'm dying for SOMEONE to tell me....

How the hell are you gonna be able to write Christian into this as a face without making him look like a total sycophant upon his return by sympathetically kissing Jeff's arse? ...Even then, Jeff's just been screwed by his brother, he's not about to be trusting anyone in a hurry... Certainly not a former nemesis!

Similarly, bringing him in as a heel within this angle...

Question to the Christian marks; you wanna see your beloved Cage, looking like a pussy, sucking up to a mid-carder like Matt Hardy upon his debut?

It's best for Cage, when he finally debut's, to stay well clear of this Hardy storyline, have him re-establish HIMSELF, then have the bookers build him up, wait for the right time and have him have in extended world title fued with Edge.

Totally agree. Christian coming into this fued would look wrong. Plus it would either be he overshadows the story, or the story overshadows him. Best he stays far away, as far away as a different brand even.

I still concur with popular opinion that SD is the show for him.... He'll just drown amongst the likes of Cena, Batista, Orton & (to a lesser extent) Jericho, HBK, JBL, Kane & so on... Especially as it would seem Legacy & The McMahon's are gonna take up a hell of a lot of screen time over the coming months.

On the other hand, SD's ME roster always seems thin even though they've got 6 or so guys + it overlaps a lot more with the midcard when called upon.... (Although unrelated, the problem is there's no-one they're prepared to have lose clean on a PPV).

Maybe so, but despite being Edge's ex-tag team partner and despite having history with the Hardy's, I can't really see where he could fit into Smackdown.

Where can he "fit"? ...Anywhere the writers care to place him!

If they have anything but short term plans for Cage they'll need to do something with him beyond an angle with Edge anyway, so I don't see what bearing your comments have on him being on SD or not (afterall it's not like there's ready-made storylines awaiting for him on Raw either).

Why does Christian have to rival with Edge or Hardies we have seen it kinda, something new, something better, Christian Cage though is a waste if he just has a good rivallry, wins the IC/US title then loses it and is a mid card average wrestler. Make him chase a title or try and chase a title or something, or have quite alot of rivalries.

Jericho I though was wasted before he won the Wordl Title.

Christians name has been brought up a few times in this thread. And I have
to agree if the Hardy angle is used to bring in Christian down the road then it
will work. As for Hardy vs Hardy it will be short lived. It won't help any ppv buy rate we've seen this all before and this isn't the main event caliber as Undertaker vs Kane feud was (when they were supposedly brothers)

I disagree. We saw this feud for one month and when both were midcarders.

Now, they are upper midcarders-main eventers and they have vastly improve

I think a Matt/Jeff feud is going to be boring, there have been a few family feuds and to be honest they are all boring IMO; the only one I enjoyed was Bret/Owen Hart way back int the day.
