Could be worse, though it could be 1998 when Hogan takes the title from Savage the very next night or 1999 when he does it again. Two title reigns hogan ends the night after Savage wins them on pay-per-view. It’s no wonder that they would go from being pretty close to Savage absolutely hating his guts.

The thing about this finish though is, I wouldn’t even mind it if it led somewhere. Which it doesn’t. If the plan was to do savage and Hogan at Starrcade, which would be a worthy Starrcade main event all of this makes sense but they don’t even do that.
