Like you can’t paint me as a general WWE bad type of person because generally I just go about my day when it comes to WWE, but this is greedy as fuck for fans who don’t have access to cable and ESPN proper.
It's good if you like other things in ESPN I guess .

But wrestling fans notoriously don't watch anything else (generalization but there's lots of data )

It’s a pretty fair generalization because I don’t watch anything else outside of when I have a sports team that I can actually get behind like when the Patriots are doing really well or what have you.

Yeah like I said I've seen data from guys like Pollock and it's a similar reason why sponsors are still gunshy. The demo is there but we don't buy shit they push lol

This is just really stupid optics as somebody that also thinks fucking the Brock Lesnar return was a fucking gross as fuck promotional tactic even though it seems to be working out for them they’re smashing fucking views and selling his T-shirts right out, so who knows maybe we’re in the minority on that one but like right after that to fucking unveil this man. WWE is trying everything to see what fuck their fans will put up with lol

I’m assuming the catalog isn’t going to go to ESPN but if it does, it’s at least something because Netflix already said that they don’t plan on adding everything for the International fans.

Still don’t think $30 is worth it, though.

As for where else we can maybe get it well WCW is definitely being uploaded to YouTube and they’ve been pretty consistently doing it so that’s something, but it isn’t the same as having one app for everything. I miss WWE Network.

Anyone with cable this probably is great news but reading through his posts doesn’t seem like he’s specifically saying this is positive only for him. He seems to be just defending their decision to do this in general and not really factoring in how this is gonna affect people without cable.

I say this as someone that loves Troop.

And this is what I was saying to Hoss. I’m happy for you that you’re gonna get it for free with your cable, but you really can’t be telling people it’s not a big deal if they have to pay an extra $30 a month to watch their PLEs.

I have a VPN and that’s how I was watching SmackDown so I’ll survive but like not everyone has this capability.
I'm sorry if my enthusiasm did not specify that.

I agree it isn't as good for cord-cutters. I mean if you're a cord-cutter you are more likely to be a VPN user so then VPN/Netflix is the way to go.

Thank God for international Netflix even though when I’m watching live a lot of the times it starts to mess up now.
Yeah I have to turn IPVanish off while watching Netflix on my laptop now. I even put the location still in Canada (so my internet provider doesn’t see I’m downloading) and it still messes up so they’ve really cracked down on it.

I was already heading in that direction with my primary WWE consumption and I’ll be furthering in that direction but a lot of cord cutters can’t afford their VPN either so I feel for the people that won’t be able to watch WWE at all anymore.

I’ll say IPVanish is the way to go for VPN users. Most of them are trash now but it’s still the best.

So far I can watch on my phone no problem but yeah when I’m trying to cast, it’s getting harder and harder to get it to work.

I downloaded the VPN to chromecast now and that seems to work, but it bogs down the internet when watching live.

I'm not about to re-read that shit but it seemed to me that he was only saying he was happy about it and that it was good for WWE, I definitely don't remember him trying to sell anybody else on how good it will be for them. :lol

He definitely was because I quoted it like a couple posts after yours he doubled down on it.

Just to clarify, though he wasn’t necessarily saying it was good for everyone else, but he was trying to tell them it wasn’t a big deal or bad.
