The WS Mental Health and Empathy Thread

I can't believe Monday will be a year since the last time I got to hang out with Jason, I miss him dearly. Then next Friday will be a year since he passed away, just doesn't seem like it's been that long. It's been hard to deal with honestly. Surely when I see things or watch things I know he would've loved. Hate that we couldn't watch the new Dragon Ball series together, he was excited for it. Watching the episode where Goku went SS4 together would've been wild, watching Vegeta go SS3 as well. I hate I won't have those memories.

I know how you feel. My uncle died in 2011. My father died in 2013. I had aunts die the last couple of years. I don't know how many people you lost. My constant losses are straining me. I always feel like my father was alive yesterday.

My favorite Aunt died last year as well, last November. I lost my Grandma a few years ago, ans my Grandpa a few years before that. A lot of others also. It's been difficult.

I love all my family who has passed away and none will ever be easy but I really feel the worst about my grandpa last year. Each time i visit my mom, it was routine to stop by his house at some point during my visit and then stop by again on my way home. It’s been very weird to visit her and no longer be stopping there. My grandparents rented a nice home for over 30 years and to think other people are in it almost makes me unrealistically angry, as if it’s still his house forever and they should get out of it. My mom can’t even drive up that street, even if she has to go that way, she finds another way around.

It’s tough and there will always be birthdays, anniversaries and memories. Sorry you are coming up on having to deal with those days, I dread all that stuff year after year.

Each time i visit my mom, it was routine to stop by his house at some point during my visit and then stop by again on my way home. It’s been very weird to visit her and no longer be stopping there. My grandparents rented a nice home for over 30 years and to think other people are in it almost makes me unrealistically angry, as if it’s still his house forever and they should get out of it. My mom can’t even drive up that street, even if she has to go that way, she finds another way around.

Surely if a PLE was happening as he was kind of getting into wrestling the last like couple years or so. So was fun to go smoke and watch with him. When I got that phone call last year, it truly broke me. Like we were cousins but I honestly considered him a brother you know? January 1st was when his birthday was, this past January 1st, me ans Mt dad ate Jason's favorite Hamburger Helper in his memory. Christmas last year felt like another day as it was just me, my dad, my cousin Stephen, and his son TC, and it just felt so depressing, but at the same time I was happy to have them.

Anyone else who passed, most were unexpected so I didn’t get to see them in the days leading up and when my grandma passed, I didn’t get to see her in the closing days, I had only been able to speak to her on the phone while she was in hospice and she had been completely out cold for days up until that point.

Being able to sit in the room with him while he was alert is a time I’ll be grateful for cuz we were close and I don’t know if I’d be able to live with the fact I couldn’t see him right before he left. At the same time, watching him deteriorate was shit, watching as he asked the doctors questions like can my lungs be fixed (he had a bunch of holes in them), watching him go over old pictures of him and my grandma when they were young and him still at 92 years of age remembering where the photos were taken, which house it was, what they did that day, hearing him break down when he said he had a great family, when I had to leave to go home at the end of the last day I saw him, I said bye grandpa and he sternly told me “I’ll see you again” and I knew what he meant, it was just so fucking sad…..

I'm so glad you have that memory. Hold onto it, and cherish it forever. Just knowing that you were able to give that goodbye to him and be there I'm sure meant alot to him as well. Surely getting to remember all those things he talked about, definitely was something great for him at a time that had to be hard on him as well.

It feels good to talk about it, especially with people who understand and go through the same thing.

Wishing you the best in these upcoming days. No matter what, you’ll always be my best e-buddy and I care about shit you’re going through so if you ever need to talk, even privately, about anything, it’s never a bother to me, don’t ever feel like you’re rambling or being annoying, nothing like that cuz that’s not how I would take it at all.

My favorite Aunt died last year as well, last November. I lost my Grandma a few years ago, ans my Grandpa a few years before that. A lot of others also. It's been difficult.

I"m lucky my grandparents are in their 90s. My grandfather is undergoing kemo. He must of developed cancer from that nasty stuff from the Vietnam war.

I am a little anti social but I do enjoy getting close to people once I know them well. Just don’t really like meeting strangers.

Think most wrestling fans are a lil antisocial but just depends if you get to know one and another then friendship forms if they have things in common. Met some nice peeps on here and formed a friendship over various things. But don't think per say anyone here is a sociopath, not that I've noticed as my friend has tendencies and it shows but he's a too man and lovely guy.
