So I actually think everything is being set up for Survivor Series with Finn/JD/Liv breaking off from Priest and Rhea and Dom siding with Rhea, Carlito becomes a full member of Finn's group and we end up getting Priest/Dom/Rhea vs. Finn/JD/Liv.

Uh idk cause then Dom has to be a face, and he needs to be a heel so he can retire Rey at some point.

Bro Gunther is a third wheel in the story. Literally if it wasn't Gunther it'd be someone else. Damian Priest's story isn't about Gunther. Its about Priest trying to stand on his own two feet and nobody letting him.

Regardless if it was Gunther at SummerSlam or not, the plan is most likely for Priest to get fucked over and lose, which continues his story. Gunther will start his own story beginning with his title reign after SummerSlam.
