The season is half-way through or half-way over, however you want to look at it.

The All-Star Game was last night, and it wasn't the best game I've ever seen. The West beat the East 148-143 and tbh I expected The East to take it easily.

Blake Griffin won the dunk contest by mainly dunking over a car which was impressive as well.

As we know on the off-season Chris Bosh and Lebron James made their way to the Miami Heat as Wade re-signed with them.

And The Spurs and Celtics are the Conference leaders at this moment.

The Knicks are my favorite team, and we're 2 games over .500. We're not looking bad, and we're 6th in our conference so the way this is looking we'll make the playoffs. It seems like we can beat the top tier teams, and the bad teams, but not the teams in between. For example, we have trouble with a team like the Hawks but beat the Heat and Spurs and beat teams at the bottom of the division.

I think that flaw could cause us problems in the rest of the season and the playoffs.

Anyways,

Discuss...

Unfortunatly we lose alot, but with losing alot, there's alot of gain!

The Knicks will get Carmelo Anthony, Chauncy Billups, Balkman, and Carter

Amar'e, Carmelo, Chauncy, Landry, and Turiaf, what a great starting lineup.

With the All-Star game I also expected East to win easily, they had a much better line-up than the West.

I don't follow a team in the NBA, I used to follow Chicago when I was a kid simply because they were winning and had Jordan. I like following the Australians in the NBA though and so I do want the Bucks to do well with Andrew Bogut leading the way.

Miami after a slow start are looking really good and should be the best chance for LeBron to get a title ring.

Unfortunately we lose Raymond Felton, Gallo, Randolph(I think) and Eddy Curry, Wilson Chandler, and Mozgov.

But we still got Melo! We're not gonna have the best defense but oh well.

Felton is an underrated player and Chandler and Mozgov are coming into their own. A long contract seals this in NY favor though. As far as the all star game the three guys I'd want if I was starting a team (Durant, D.Williams, Griffin) all play for the West.

To me, someone who doesn't follow NBA that closely, how often does it happen where teams switch that many players at once? It is like you are switching starting line-ups.

Finally the Carmello trade is finalised and it does look like a better deal for New York, amazing how one player can turn the fortunes of a team around.

Closing in on the latter stages of the season now.

Eastern Conference top 8
Chicago, Boston, Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, New York, 76ers, Indiana

Western Conference top 8
San Antonio, Lakers, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Denver, Portland, New Orleans, Memphis

Do you think there will be any change to the top 8 for either conference? What team do you think will win each conference?
