I can't say I disliked it or anything, haven't seen any of the rest of the match bc I just tuned in live when I woke up. It sells Finlay as a "savage" like you said fine and I don't actually think Tama is leaving, probably just written off until the G1 with it. Just was not what I was expecting even if I knew Finlay was going over

Yeah I think I also just need to accept this dude is getting a mega push even if I dont personally care for him. I am also kind of afraid El P will job to him and that would be sad

Even the towel thing feels like they can play into that. Either with dissension with Jado, or possibly a submission match later.

He might at first but ELP is partially as over as he is due to Finlay too, he needed that heel foil that the fans really disliked for the turn and not just a cool BC guy. I expect ELP to come out of this in the long run way better even if he doesn't win the Never title in the first match

I can almost guarantee it unless he’s already left.

I also don’t think he’s the best guy for the spot, but I do think he’s taken a massive step into making his character better and feel important and certainly the best guy that still in Japan and BC to lead atm.

I’m giving Gedo my trust. I believe in his vision.
