-- Former WWE Smackdown women's champion Charlotte Flair will be taking some time off, according to a report by pwinsiderelite.com. Flair informed WWE officials over WrestleMania weekend that she will be "taking a break" from the company with plans to travel with her husband, Andrade. Charlotte's decision to step away had no bearing on the outcome of the Smackdown women's title match at WrestleMania as plans to have Rhea Ripley win and become the new champ were in place well before the weekend.


-- Charlotte's absence appears to be beginning immediately as she is not scheduled in any creative plans for Smackdown and the length of time she will be gone is unknown at this time. It should be noted that her upcoming absence was 100% her decision as WWE would have drawn up plans for her post-WrestleMania.​
