Here is the thing, I'll admit I'm not a fan of both Hardy's, I was at one time. But now they are just parodies of what they used to be. But thats not why I would say Jeff shouldn't be champion, it's because he is unreliable. Putting the belt on him even though he was awaiting drug charges was foolish and downright stupid for TNA.

He could still be used in major angles, but he should never be the champion, contrary to what Vince Russo says about titles, they do mean something, they mean this is the guy representing your company. The face of the company should not have a blackeye.

He can be used as HBK was used for WWE, he didn't need the belt to sell tickets, much like Jeff Hardy has a built in fanbase that will pay to see him. He doesn't need an ugly purple belt.

thoughts?

I completely agree that TNA should never have put the belt on Jeff when there was a pending criminal case against him. It sends such a bad image to those watching and it just seems like an obvious decision to not have a criminal as your number one star.

I also agree that there is no need for Hardy to hold the title again in TNA now that he has held it. He has a big following and it over enough that he doesn't need the belt to elevate him to the next level. It would be a better use of the title if TNA put it on stars like Anderson, Morgan, Pope etc. to help get them to the next level.

I don't think you can never say never, if Hardy got himself in better shape, and all the stuff blow over with the law, then maybe one day. But they certainly put the title on him too soon, it was a dumb call given his legal problems, and having just dropped it, it should be a very long time until he wins it again.

I didn't have a huge issue with him holding the title, but there is no way he should get it back. The legal problems should be sorted out soon so he can't be the champ when that happens and is too unreliable if he sticks around to place the belt on him after that.

I've been arguing with his nuthuggers for years on wrestling websites. I remember his strange group of followers lamenting me for calling him a moron in early 2008 when he blew his chance of winning Money in the Bank by getting suspended. Now, TNA are stupid enough to put so much faith in him by making him their main event star.

I know he's popular (somehow), and realize that TNA would be silly not to cash in on that in some way at least, but I just don't like seeing such a waster get the spot, you know?

What happens when he gets busted for something more serious? What happens when he no-shows a big PPV which he's meant to headline?

I agree with that, plus the thing is to make him the figur head heel was a mistake, Hardy is just way more suited as a face, he just isn't going to get enough heat as a heel.

Thing is Scott if it was the same Jeff Hardy as the one who was in WWE, then I too might be open to him holding the TNA title, but the guy has let himself go big time, and it was just how quickly it happened, and the way they pendered to the ex-WWE star and just put the belt on him because no one saw it coming.
