The Boss N Hug Connection ? No just no, change that name please

I was watching WWE RAW last night when Bayley and Sasha Banks reunited (after a month of wanting to rip each other's heads off) and I heard this reunion being referred to as "The Boss N Hug Connection" which is obviously taken from "The Rock N Sock Connection" but when The Rock and Mankind did it in 1999, it was much better because they had been rivals for a while. Dating all of the way back to Survivor Series 1998 all of the way up to February of 1999 on RAW when Rock took the belt back from Mankind to set up the Stone Cold feud for WrestleMania 15 and it would be a while before they started teaming up together and even then The Rock was still a douchebag to Foley and that's what made the original one work. This "Boss N Hug Connection" crap happened way too fast and Sasha Banks and Bayley are not good actors at all. They're a disgrace compared to the original one, I'm sorry but they need to change that name.

The reason the Rock and Sock Connection worked was because it rhymed.

This just sounds stupid. Why not let the women have their own name instead of a cheap and horrible parody of a different pair?

It DOES matter because the original version of the team was much better than this cheap rendition. Not to mention it was done at a time when the wrestling business was hot. Now it's not.

They are only using a name. Not like it dirties the legacy of the team. Not like it changes anything

Let's just forget about these two.. They're not over at all, they're not entertaining.. They absolutely suck at everything.. It's amazing they still have jobs... I have trouble believing that's their tag team name, but if it is.. so be it.

Yes it is a big deal and if you think it's not, you must not know how over The Rock and Mankind were and not the over as in being on TV over, I mean EVERYBODY was all over wrestling at that time. It was on the news, talk shows, magazines, people who didn't even watch wrestling at all or weren't die hard fans of it, my friends and family members watched both RAW IS WAR and Smackdown even WCW Nitro and WCW Thunder back then. Not just the tag team the WHOLE DAMN SHOW. Nowadays ? Who cares about Bayley and Sasha Banks other than just the WWE audience ? Outside of that, nobody gives a fuck about them. Unless your name is The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Goldberg, Hulk Hogan or John Cena.

As soon as I read that though, I instantly pictured a backstage segment where Bayley's standing up and using her "mean girl" voice saying "Becky and Charlotte, you have no chance against me and Sasha over here, the Hug Thugs!" with a pseudo-intimidating dorky cute-because-she-can't-help-it smile and Sasha just rolling her eyes at the cringe and walking away

You can apply this to about any group name they give themselves, I bet WWE already has the segment planned. Gosh Bayley has gotten lame thanks to their booking. LOL!

Like I still remember the buildup to Bayley's match with Charlotte at Takeover: Fatal 4 way (when Bayley was so over that Charlotte got legit heel heat by winning a wrestling match) when Bayley looked over at her with angry eyes saying "and you... I wouldn't even want to give you a hug" and the crowd gasped and went oooooooh.

Same week as on Raw when one of the stupid Bellas yelled I WISH YOU DIED IN THE WOMB to no reaction

Oh lawd I forgot about that. Yeah, she was always lame but when she first came to the main roster it was a good lame as she appealed to little kids, especially little girls which worked well for her. Soon as they screwed up that image, she just became what seems to be an air headed woman-child who thinks boys have cooties and being BBF's with Sasha is as important as marriage.
