The different parts of me reacted different ways.

Fan Rain: On Monday night a thought popped into my head: "Boy, wouldn't it be great if we had an ADR vs Ricardo Rodriguez feud! I'd love to watch that." Had a thread idea for it all written up before taking a nap and somehow said nap went all the way through Raw, so never posted it. So imagine my surprise when I saw... holy crap! An ADR vs Ricardo feud! Yes..... nope, Cena. *Throws soft stuff at the wall for dramatic effect* Rawr, that woulda been gold! Cena, you ruin everything. :tough: Couldn't you give us the 4-6 months off and return at the Rumble in a huge shock we can all cheer until you hit those stupid shoulder tackles again?

Joking Rain: Wait, he was out 4-6 months but kicked out at 2? Shocking. And if SuperCena is really this invincible then Punk should never get rid of those mutton chops.

Humanistic Rain: Hey, great to see the dude's healthy. Don't want to see anyone getting hurt that's for sure. And if he loves being at work that much, more power to him. Although chances are he just wants to be around Nikki, haha.

Businessman Rain: If they think Cena's the cure-all for ratings they're surely mistaken. He'll help, but to think alllll their problems are just going to go away because of Cena is silly. (Besides, ratings are up from last year with Cena, so :p) But read on WrestlingInc that they're bummed that the 12-18 demo isn't higher since the kids are less likely to tune out and watch football. So him coming back to get that demo makes total sense. but lets be honest here. Going in, we don't know this feud isn't for us. It's not supposed to be. As a wise man once said, wrestling is like a circus. If the elephants don't amuse you, you can always watch the acrobats (although we need more acrobats #pushtysonkidd). We have Daniel Bryan and CM Punk as the two top faces with Cena playing third fiddle. We're still going to get ours. :) And when you think about it, Cena going after the world title as a glorified midcarder (in our eyes) is fresh, new, different... Maybe we could get some enjoyment out of this too.

Creative/Fantasy Booker Rain: Oooooh, the possibilities... Coming back soon from an arm injury against ADR? Could they use that as an excuse to give ADR a legit win over Cena? Wait, what about Sandow? Cena could win but sell the arm setting him up for a cash-in, and a Cena/Sandow feud could be gold (the total mismatch is pretty much irrelevant with Sandow, and just working with Cena elevates him)... Or, Ricardo can come in, screw Cena and help ADR... The possibilities are endless and really interesting!

Complete Cena-Hater Rain: :yay: Not Sheamus!

Cena is the man. ADR is the man. I'm happy. My opinions are so different than everyones.

6 year old me can see how Cena is beloved. Tbh if I were still a small kid I'd probably love him too. Hell, he's just a modern day Hogan. I don't recall ever saying lol Hogan wins when I was young, but I'm old and selfish now and want the guys I like personally to be on top.

I'm semi-excited for Cena's return. Mainly because it should be interesting to see him compete for the WHC instead of the WWE Title. It also gives me great hope that Sandow will cash in on Cena and we may get a Cena/Sandow feud for the gold, which should be awesome. It should also make for a cool sight to see both Bryan and Cena, guys who were opponents just a couple of months ago at Summerslam, both walk out of the same PPV as the respective world champions of the company. (Assuming Orton doesn't win the belt, of course.)

The show is just fine without Cena, but of course WWE wants him back, he's still their biggest star. You should always want your biggest, most established star on the show, no matter what. Wanting Cena to come back ASAP in no way means that Bryan has been a failure because:

A.) Bryan hasn't even been at the top for a whole two months yet. Not enough time to judge him as a success or failure.
B.) It's already been well established that ratings always take a hit at this time of the year due to Monday Night Football.
C.) As proven in a couple of other threads, ratings are actually better in general right now than they were last year when Cena WAS on the show. There's all kinds of proof that Cena being on the show doesn't automatically equal better ratings or higher PPV buys.

I'm sure just as well in 2000 that even though The Rock proved to be more than a suitable replacement for Austin while Austin was out with his neck injury that year, Vince still would have loved to have had Austin on the show since he was still his biggest star. Like with Cena now, it could have only helped, not hurt.

Cena is cancer to WWE

AAAAAAND now you've crossed the line. You think he is cancer to the WWE? Do you know how much money he makes the WWE? Do ya? Seriiously, do you do any research or use any prior knowledge before posting these threads? You're like a drunk politician at a press conference.

Because currently the title is of midcard standards. Giving this match to Cena can do three things. One, gain Alberto some heat by beating Cena. Two, giving the belt to Cena can bring more attention and raise prestige in the championship. Three, setup Damien's cash in so he gains more heat by beating Cena. None of these can be gained if Ryback was in the World Heavyweight Championship match. Either way, Cena is being used in a good way here.

Why the fuck does he a get title match? Ryback deserves a title match hes busted his ass for so many years on the indies and in WWE with no titles

Ryback never worked any indy shows, He doesn't deserve shit. He cant talk, He has no charisma and is shit in the ring. Busted his ass? You mean nursing a dick injury for 2 years and getting a push? Ryback deserves nothing.

Not sure if he'll bring prestige to the belt, but 1 and 3 are definitely true!

But I wonder if it really lacks prestige for the kids. Maybe they still see it as a World Championship, the same one Flair/Sting/etc made famous. So they get to see Cena going after a prestigious belt as we get our something different with Cena going after a midcard belt. Great! What's not to love?

How can the kids really see the title as the high prestige it should have with the RVD/ADR feud that happened? Even I forgot many of times that the feud was even happening.
