That's what i'm figuring which is why I said one guy is the odd one out so to speak.

I figure we get Cena/Rock again and Brock/Taker which leaves Punk as the odd one out and even if he doesn't have the title facing Ryback won't be a big enough match given the title reign that he's had.

If they can get Austin to work a match then a Punk vs Stone Cold co-main event would be the shit.

You know how they forget about the brands around Mania time so Punk could easily find himself in the other title match against Sheamus too, or Ziggler if he's champ by then.

Man that would be some backtracking if Punk ended up in the SD! main event but I could see it happening with bigger names being involved in the Raw main event.

I'm sorry I won't take Punk/Austin seriously again unless Austin himself says he's coming back.

It's not even just 'Mania time now though. This year we've had Bryan challenge for the WHC one month and the WWE title the next, vice versa with Jericho, so that's even more likely.

No chance they do Austin/Punk this year, if at all. At least one of their ego's would expect this match to main event and it would get 3rd from last billing at best.

I'd honestly like to see Swagger win this Rumble. I feel as though he could benefit so much from it, he's proven that he has talent not only in the ring, but he's not bad on the mic either. When he was WHC I took him very seriously and thought he could be a top guy. I kind of half expect Ziggler to cash in soon, and if he happens to fail(hopefully he won't and WWE will give him a decent enough reign this time) would be pretty awesome to see him win the Rumble. Kofi Kingston is another guy I'd like to see. Sandow is probably the one I'd like to see the most aside from Swagger.

IMO the Rumble should be reserved for top guys to win, a jobber like Swagger winning it after years of getting beat by Santino and the like would do more to ruin the Rumble's legacy/prestige than it would do wonders for Swagger.

Money in the Bank is better suited to build a guy up than the Rumble in that sense, a guy could win it out of nowhere and it'd still be believable and logical. Swagger outlasting the best 30 guys on the roster would be a shambles considering what he's been presented as (a joke) for so long.

Considering it was aired that he's taking time off, I think WWE has maybe a plan for him. Perhaps they could play it off that he's been training and shit since he left. Comes back and just wrecks people. He's proven he can run with the ball if it is passed to him.

If they built up Swagger as some sort of a threat like they did with Sheamus last year come Rumble time, then I could see it, but at the moment, I really don't see Swagger doing anything at all.

No one at this moment in time looks remotely ready for a push from the midcard to the main event. I have always said that Damien Sandow is the most promising young wrestler within the company at this stage. He is already able to work the crowd, wrestle the World Heavyweight Champion and cut fantastic promos. I believe that he or Ryback will win the Royal Rumble (more likely Ryback). Sandow is definitely going to be a champion within the next year or so.

I think that Wade Berret will surprise us and win the rumble.

Barrett is another guy I could see winning the Rumble. I don't really want it, at all because he's regressed since returning, whether it's the new gimmick they've given him or what, he just hasn't been very good. I was calling for a feud between him and Sheamus before he returned, but now, not so much.

Yeah after those Fight Club clips since Barrett has returned he just hasn't made himself stand out.

I'm always a fan of people winning who haven't before and while I'd love for Kane or Jericho too (yes long shots), I don't see the need for them to win. Currently I'd have to go with Ryback or perhaps a yet to debut or returning superstar.

I'm betting on Cena. Granted, it's still very early days and the likes of Ryback could easily gain a lot of momentum from now until January and convince creative to give him the win instead, but with the way the WWE title scene is shaping up, I just can't see anyone else but Cena winning it.

Punk/Rock is already happening at Royal Rumble, and I don't see them going for a rematch at WrestleMania. The only way I see them two facing off again is if Cena gets thrown in as well.

It would make sense to give the win to a younger star, but I see the road to WrestleMania being heavily focused on Rock, Punk and Cena. I don't think any of the up and comers will get a whole lot of attention until after April.

How bout The Miz?? He could run with the IC title from now til then, drop it to someone like Sandow or Cesaro or whatever but still look strong doing so and use the Rumble to get back in a world title picture.... Miz v Shaemus or Orton or Barrett or Del Rio could all work depending on which way they want to go with Miz heel/face wise
