Note: Sorry, I can't cite this properly; saw this in the 'news' section, so I just took the video which explains everything pretty well.

EDIT: What is this?
:O

Your thoughts?

Bill Goldberg, who has not wrestled since 2004, stated during a recent autograph signing appearance that he will “probably” return to the ring before the end of 2011.

The former World Heavyweight Champion said that if he returns to the squared circle, his ideal opponent would be Steve Austin.

That is the text that was in the news section with the video.

If he was to return I see it being with WWE since I don't think he will think TNA is big enough for him. There is always the chance though that he will go to Japan like he has done in the past because they can pay him his huge fee. I think that he could have a short run in WWE again but I don't think his opponent would be Austin. Not sure who I would book against him.

Looked like Goldberg was just trying to get the reporter a scoop. No confidence in his expression when he said that. Wouldn't read too much into it.

Undertaker vs Goldberg at WM28 is the dream match.

Goldberg's return can possibly mean a huge burial of about half of the WWE roster, if he starts targeting random heels.

I also don't really think he's coming back for cash. I mean he had the taste of that. I don't know anything, but I feel like he just misses the business rather than a huge income.

It took him a while to say "yes" to the question. I thought he wasn't sure if he should reveal it or not. The Rock kept quiet until an hour or two before his appearance, and that caused a bang. I think Goldberg knows that any statement he makes about a return is to be a big deal to the fans, and I don't think he's that dumb or ignorant or whatever to just lie to the camera. He could've just said "I don't know," and that would be it. Now he stirred a beehive.

CM Punk vs. Goldberg anyone?

Cena did just mention that CM better win because Cena's at Wrestlemania.

CM is gonna have a big match tbh.

Goldberg has said that he wants to wrestle one more time so that his kids can watch their dad wrestle in front of a big crowd. Goldberg on the same card as The Rock would be interesting but it would be another draw.

I'm not believing this for a second. Goldberg has been asked plenty of times if he is ever gonna return to the ring, always knocking it back. Why all of a sudden would he do a 180?

It looked in the video as if he was just having some fun.

Regarding the Bill Goldberg video from earlier where he said he would return by the end of 2011, it’s been noted that the video was recently uploaded to YouTube but the signing was from March of this year.

Seems outdated. TNA also teased Goldberg's return back in May when Hogan's car had the words "You're Next!" spray painted on the doors. Don't really think it would be a good idea for Goldberg to go there..

Other than Batista, if anyone came back that I wouldn't care for it be Bill Goldberg. I wonder if his ego can handle a big time wrestlemania match. Would he put over Austin or CM Punk? I wouldn't even want Punk wasted on a match with that clown. With Jericho, HHH, and Austin possible guys, Goldberg would be a waste for Punk. Taker's possible last Mania match shouldn't be wasted on Goldberg. I hope this isn't true just because I don't care.

I dont see Bill returning anytime soon, I mean sure it would be interesting but I am sick to death of the big names from the Old days in WCW try and come back and have one last run. However I do think that we will Golberg back in the ring before we see Sting in WWE. Just sayin'

^I agree. I think there is at least a chance that Goldberg would wrestle at least one more match in WWE but after Sting didn't decide to go to WWE this past year and signed again for TNA I have lost hope that we will see a Sting vs. Undertaker match in WWE.

As I said before Goldberg has regularly said that he wants to wrestle one more time so that his kids can watch him wrestle live. No idea where that will be but WWE would be one of the few companies that can afford him and offer him what he wants i.e. a match in front of tens of thousands of fans.

Goldberg would probably work in WWE for hardly anything these days. If he wants his wish, he'd do it and not worry about how much he's getting to do it.

Would love him to face someone like CM Punk but I have a feeling it's someone like Big Show..

I don't agree with that. Goldberg is a business man and he wouldn't get into the ring again if it wasn't worth his while financially even if he does really want to do it.

Goldberg vs. Big Show would suck. Goldberg vs. Sheamus or Wade Barrett I wouldn't mind.

No, I was a big Goldberg fan back in 97/98, but nowadays he has no value for me, he has just bleed of the business, has a bad attiude and has no passion left for wrestling, so no I don't want to see Goldberg wrestle anyone ever again. Besides I honestly don't think he would be that big a draw anymore. There is a whole new audience watching WWE now, and many of them might not even know who he is, and lets face it, he was on top for such a short period and has been awhile a long time now, So I don't know if people really care that much about him anymore.

Match wise, agree that Taker's farewell Mania match would be wasted on Goldberg, and I don't see them having a good match, Punk should be focusing on better things, again if he took on someone like Sheamus I don't see a good match, and I just think Sheamus needs to be kept at the top of the card and in the title hurt at least, rather than going against a past it Goldberg in a one off match.
