Despite his aew appearance on the ppv , Lio rush was apart of the forbidden door deal between aew and njpw. He is signed to njpw but can make appearances for aew in the states. He can’t go to japan as of now given the situation

Good signing IMO. Not sure about when travel opens up but his presence on NUPW Strong has helped that show a lot. I can't stress enough how much the dude has been killing it in the stuff I've seen him in NJPW and MLW since leaving WWE

From what I understand it's always been a suggested weight that they make kayfabe exceptions for, depending on overness.

Young Bucks won the IWGP hw tag titles and they defo aint heavyweights either. esp not in japan

edit: they did win the jr ones like 7 times too though
