Well my issue is you should probably realize that offering himself up for a lynch like that isn't something he's likely to do as scum, because he'd have a team that wants to make use of the other roles he'd most certainly possess. I'm not buying your reasons for keeping him in your sights at all and that whole slip thing you keep riding is completely dismissable since to my knowledge this is the first game Lethal has ever hosted and thus setup spec should be avoided at all costs.

Which is why I played devils advocate and tried to lean a little on Magics discussion regarding Brutus in Bond.

I didnt know it was Lethals first game so that is a fair point. Thoughts on him flat out refusing to char claim in a game with char claiming? Will you be expecting him to do this later or are you cool with it?

Like I said I'm unhappy with the way Odo immediately voiced his suspicions of PHEN0M, I would've loved to see him do a couple more posts under no outside influence.

Like Odo went and shaded PHEN0M and Jeff with the "keep feigning indifference" thing and went "do not like" on one of Barrys posts, if nothing more comes of this I just see it as nudging and that would indeed be scummy. Main reason I'm not interested on Odo rn is because he seems to be seeing the same thing as me wrt PHEN0M.

I do agree with the Odo discussion, I've not much cared for some of the stuff he's been doing so far myself. He is obviously hiding a second part of his role as well, based on his unwillingness to demonstrate the double vote. Unless he has later on than this, obviously.

Town PHEN0M likes to wallow in his inactivity and relative indifference, whereas Scum PHEN0M likes to make some early posts that look like playing the game but upon further inspection are just window dressing. Sensible window dressing that doesn't actually look scummy in nature but doesn't really mean much or advance the game either. And before you say this isn't true, Magic uses this same tell against you and called you being scum d1 in some recent game on WF, would have to look up which one it was.

Which read did he make that has prompted this?

Odo being a double voter should give pause, to be fair.

The dumbass in me is thinking if he's scum, the hated town makes sense, and another part of me is thinking if he's town, there's likely to be an executioner somewhere... maybe.

A double voter shouldn't give anyone pause tbh, it's a role that is 50/50. View it as indifferent.

I've seen your last two games as town. As town you enter the thread at your convenience, drop a vote that makes sense on someone with no explanation and sit back. You comment on more or less random things as you see fit. Here, your entrance has been to make two of the most obvious town leans one could give, which is something you probably wouldn't bother doing as town since it's so obvious. As scum you make those kinds of posts to feign looking towny (making reads, making sure to look reasonable) which are things you just don't worry about as town.

That's my take on things, like I said I'm not pushing this to hell and back this time around because last game my attempts to catch scum d1 backfired hard.

And no, I don't think a guy who played this game for over 10 years and self-admittedly puts priority on more important things than Mafia makes a conscious effort to change up his meta.

Certainly not convinced Phenom is town based on his claim but I'm with Odo in that my biggest scumread so far is Jeff.

Feels like he's trying too hard to lead town and I've also noticed him "hedging his bets" a fair few times - in the sense that he'll say something and follow it up with an "I may be wrong about this" type ending to his posts.

This is often a scumtell by my experience with scum players subconsciously nervous to over-invest in a "fake" read.

Tbph I'm not a big fan of Sky's claim post as his implication that Lethal may be spiting him by giving him a dodgy role/flavour combo doesn't feel good.

I'm still very open to Sky + OMB being joint-maf based on OMB's interactions with the Sky wagon.

FWIW I think the reasons we wagoned Sky were good enough, that weird town read on Doddsy and unconvincing reads list felt shady. BG doesn't have to be alignment indicative but as I said, now that the role is outed she's gotta use it in a towny fashion or at least pretend to do so.

I recently reread Whodunnit Mafia and Jeff also did that taking both sides of the argument thing in that game and he was town. Not saying it has to be that way here too, but I'm not really seeing the scum in him rn. Null to me.

I dont think he would commit to a plan this early as scum. I think he would be more likely to assess and figure things out as the game plays forward because he is capable of adjusting on the fly. He has committed to doing "something useful tomorrow" which I dont think he would risk as scum.

His committment to the Jeff read was saying 'trust me on Jeff please' and 'I don't like the claim.' But yes, he would absolutely do that as scum. He can lead as scum, as he's demonstrated time and time again. He can look useful while leading town astray. As for the usage related he's a double voter I don't know what usage he'd have that'd be useful, I assume he was referring to being more active and taking more charge, but I certainly wouldn't let him take charge of anything at this junkture

I had both of these thoughts reading through the thread and found Odo posting what I was thinking so that's encouraging.

I've also been picking up what Tweet has been putting down this game so town lean on him.

Sky really fell apart under pressure and started voting quite erratically, almost felt like she was trying to play into a meta or perhaps preparing for her own flip to me. But she was also pushed by my scumspects so it's an interesting predicament. Perhaps there's been some bussing.

Not letting PHEN0M off the hook for the mason claim. We can put a pin in it for now.

I'm down to lynch Jeff today. He turned on PHEN0M rather quick there didn't he. Not sure there's anything else worth pursuing right now.
