I'd swap 99 and 98 personally. 1999 angles are way cooler in 1999 and it has peak Russo interwoven storytelling.

Fully Loaded 1999 is just a fucking blast. 2000 I only put over 1999 because that roster is insane.

I feel like what you're calling "interwoven angles" I'd call clusterfucks lmao I wouldnt recommend much of 99 outside of Austin/McMahon/Rock/Foley. 98 didnt have a lot more but the Austin/McMahon feud was better and carried the shit out of it

I also think 2001 gets slept on because WWE botched the invasion but the matches and angles were still GOAT.

WWE also still promoted WWF Attitude until 2002 when it changed to Get the F Out.

Interwoven meaning people can have issues with more than one person at a time and Russo gave everyone on the roster a storyline.

The McMahon storyline was obviously what defined the Era, but I kinda like my stories branching out from one single story.

I say that being an nWo fan so I guess I'm a hypocrite.

Nah, WWE considers the end X-Seven, too. I personally consider it the first split because that's actually when they stopped using the Attitude Era slogan. Plus, the booking and roster remained the same until 2002. That's when Rock and Austin left. So that's my canon.
