Since Sabretooth and I are having this discussion in the Raw LD, I thought I would throw it out to the rest of the punks out there.

Let's say Daniel Bryan was not at WM would it have been as good without him? We all know Punk was gone and it made the show that much better. Would Vince pull the trigger to end the streak without the Yes movement forcing Daniel Bryan being involved in the a in event and making Batista look like the crappy bitch that he is?

So really did Daniel Bryan save WM?

I'm not really sure what you mean by "save?" Considering myself and few others are already thinking of this as possibly the best WrestleMania ever produced.

Would it have been as memorable with Daniel Bryan winning the championship? Well, no. However, I still will would hold it in my top 3 'Manias off all-time.

I think the real meat of the question is will fans remember it more for Daniel Bryan or the Streak.

IMO in 10, 15, 20 years people will still be talking about the end of the streak. It's a WrestleMania highlight real now.

I can't say that people in the next two or so generations will still care about Daniel Bryan the same way the "Reality Era" fans do.

He didn't "save" it. Everyone knew he would win. Everyone also knew undertaker would win... Except he didn't.

Get what I'm saying?

Well let's say Punk didn't leave how would things have panned out and how well do you think WM would have been. Would DB have won the title and would they pull the trigger on this new era?

Undertaker's streak isn't something to help WM as a whole. It's solely up to the undertaker and how he feels. He felt like his body couldn't take anymore so therefore they ended the streak. It's not like if all that shit happened like you said, they'd have been like "oh well fuck how undertaker feels, we're continuing the streak anyway"

Which era? The "Reality" Era began at TLC. If you mean would we still have gotten the "Yes! Movement?" It's hard to say, but I'm leaning on no. Many sheets say Punk left because Daniel Bryan was being shafted. More than likely Batista would have been booked to win, however I still think WWE would've changed those plans and given Punk the strap. I'd have been okay with that, too.

The way I understand it Vince made the final call under 4 hours before the show started. However, I think Mark has wanted to end the streak for a few years.

I think Mark as been wanting it ended for like the last 5 years.

Oh and to the earlier thing.

Punk winning it would be fine too. I just think that WM to me would not have been as great as it was if DB didn't win the title and they went with the original plan. I think the original plan for WM30 sounded horrible and would not have been as memorable as what they did.

Ironically enough 5 years ago is when I really started to hate the streak. So, kudos to Mark for knowing it was getting old.

Not as memeorable, but Punk is my favorite "current" WWE Superstar, so I can't say I would be disappointed if he was the reigning champion right now.
