Flipping around on policies is no better than bringing out policies people didn't like. It shows inconsistencies, & lacks commitment(the thing Microsoft would want from their users).

First the E3 damage control, where they attempted to direct the fury of the masses towards 3rd party developers(not a smart choice if you are relying on them for your AAA titles), and now outright stating that every policy that had any amount of flack from the gaming community is magically gone.

I bet Fable 4 gets all those additions they promised for 3 and never delivered on too.

Or it shows they'll listen to their fans and grow consumer goodwill by reversing unpopular decisions to make their customers happy.

People. Never happy. Welcome to the Bitchernet.

It shows that they are still on damage control after they announced a console that received more negativity than any console ever has. Following E3, the fans had voted X-1 the least popular console, which would force Microsoft to do something to ensure they make money off this investment.

If you believe its about the consumer, and not Microsofts bottom line, then I would suggest you actually learn something about how businesses are run.

I never suggested it wasn't about Dollars and Cents. Of course it is, but it's ALSO about consumer goodwill, and about consumer happiness. If you don't have it, you don't have sales. To keep your customers yours, you need to listen to them. Microsoft apparently does, and showed it today.

So before you suggest someone study business, possibly you should check your understanding of it.

I am well aware what Damage Control is. It requires you listen to your consumer, but this is coming from a company that is known for lying to its consumer. Honestly go watch any E3 reveal for a Fable game where Peter Molineaux is on stage. Microsoft backed this guy for 3 games, the whole time feeding bullshit to the gamers. I am actually anxiously awaiting more information on 4, so I can hear this one will be the SquareEnix/Bethesda killer.

Believe Microsoft all you want, I live in reality, where Microsoft is one of the biggest companies that constantly fucks over its customer base, and their customers just bend over and take it.

Xbox One to Launch on November 22, 2013 in 13 Markets

This is a big week for Xbox One! I am pleased to share a few exciting developments as we continue our journey to deliver the best Xbox ever.

First, we hit an important milestone as we began full production of the Xbox One console recently. The culmination of many years of listening to you, our fans, developing innovative technology, and partnering with the best game and entertainment partners in the industry has brought us to this point. There is still a lot more work to do, but the teams are making excellent progress and are focused on launch.

Speaking of launch, we’re now in a position to share that Xbox One will be available on Nov. 22, 2013 in all 13 of our initial launch markets – Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, UK, and USA. Many more markets will follow in 2014.

We are humbled and gratified by the tremendous interest in Xbox One from game fans everywhere. We have sold out of our pre-order supply in the U.S. faster than at any other time in our history and we are on path to have the biggest launch of an Xbox ever. We look forward to celebrating with millions and millions of gamers this holiday.

As a result of this incredible consumer demand and the development progress on Xbox One, I am thrilled to share that today we are making available a limited number of additional Xbox One Day One consoles for pre-order. We have coordinated with our retail partners to make it easy for you to reserve your Xbox One today.

Finally, in the spirit of continuing to bring new value and excitement to Xbox, I am also pleased to confirm that the development team has increased the CPU from 1.6GHZ to 1.75GHZ, roughly a 10 percent increase in CPU performance. This is on top of the 6% increase we previously announced for the GPU. What does this mean to you the gamer? It means that the Xbox One will have that much more power for developers to make their games and entertainment really shine. We’re going to keep bringing more value to the Xbox One as we head towards launch building on some of the advancements we have already shared such as the 40 plus improvements to the Xbox One controller, advancements to help you find the perfect opponent and make the most of our online community, to the power of the cloud.

And I have to mention the games - Xbox One is proving to be the best place for games, with our exclusive games winning over 100 awards at E3, driving pre-order increases of 200% in European markets after gamers first played our blockbuster line-up at gamescom, and blowing away thousands of fans at PAX PRIME this week-end. Only on Xbox One will you find exclusive blockbusters like "Halo," "Dead Rising 3," "Ryse: Son of Rome" and "Forza Motorsport 5"; new digital content from titles like coming "Call of Duty: Ghosts" and "Battlefield 4" coming to Xbox One first; and the "FIFA 14" Ultimate Team experience you won’t find anywhere else.

November 22 is a special day in Xbox history – on this day, we first launched Xbox 360 in 2005.* Our next chapter begins in 79 days, when Xbox One becomes available. We built Xbox One to bring you the best games, unrivaled multiplayer and more entertainment than ever before. It’s nearly time to say “Xbox On†and open a new world of games and entertainment.

Finally the date! That's good to know. Ahh can't wait. Already got all my stuff preordered. Need to pay off a bit though!

I'll get the One if I have the money for it but right now PS4 is still winning it for me. Better price, better exclusive games, and appeals to me more. I do like the changes the One has made though. Some of them were just stupid to put in in the first place.

Fair enough. Don't agree on the games department though. Unless you're into indie games.

Fuck I don't like the changes made I'd rather have the ability of 5 friends sharing 12 games a piece. Microsoft really really mis marketed the advantages.

Just got it this morning and its doing good right now. Having to install every game before playing is annoying as hell. Took us like an hour before we were able to play COD Ghost, and like 4 hours before we could play Killer Instinct. The Kinect is a waste of money and I'm not going to use it. The voice commands hardly ever work anyways. The layout isn't very user friendly for people not use to Windows.

The pros are that the controller is AWESOME. Feels like an extension of your hand and like it was made specially for it. Nice, new design. Graphics are superb. Only played COD Ghost right now, but I'll play Ryse, Madden, and NBA a little later and see how that plays out.

The controller is the thing I hate the most about the XBox One, It's fat, and cumbersome to me. The PS4 controller feels better in my hands and my reaction time seems faster on it.

Bumpers feel weird on the demo model I played I don't feel like I'm pressing anything.

I hear a lot of complaints on the bumpers but I have no problem with them; you can't lay your fingers over them and press down, that isn't where the button actually is, more so just toward the edges of the bumpers, if you push down middle way up the curve before it its that up to down to center of controller, it response just fine.
