The show opened in the office of Smackdown GM Adam Pearce who announced that the King of the Ring quarter final matches between Santos Escobar and Finn Balor and Damian Priest and Rey Mysterio. Would be contested under the rule that both factions would be banned from ringside under threat of suspension.

Back from break and it was the second KOTR quarter final match featuring members from both the LWO and the Judgment Day, this time it involved Rey Mysterio and Damian Priest. Just like the Santos Escobar V Finn Balor match earlier in the night their stablemates were banned from ringside. Priest dominated early on by using his size to advantage to do so. The ending of the match saw Priest attempt his South of Heaven finisher only for Mysterio to turn it into a Hurricanrana which sent the former into the ropes. Which set up the “Master of the 619” to attempt and successfully hit the 619 for the pin.

Winner & Advancing: Rey Mysterio

M5: QOTR Quarter Final
Bayley V Gigi Dolin

Bayley seemed to have her Queen of the Ring quarter final match against Gigi Dolin in the bag after laying her out with the Rose Plant. However she wanted to drag her opponents suffering out by dragging her to one of the corners of the ring and then climbed up to the top rope. Suddenly Iyo Sky made her way down to the ringside area and distracted Bayley which allowed Dolin the time to get back to her feet.

Dolin followed this up by going over to the corner and putting Bayley on her shoulders and hit a Running DVD which commentary called the G.V.D for the pin.

Winner & Advancing: Gigi Dolin

The show closed out with a six man tag team match that pitted the OC against the Bloodline. It started with Karl Anderson brawling with Jey Uso, then it was Luke Gallows doing the same with Jimmy Uso and finally it came down to WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles and Solo Sikoa. The ending saw Styles become distracted by Scarlett coming down to ringside and putting an hourglass on the apron of the ring, which led to Sikoa hitting a Samoan Spike for the pin.
