The 8/19 edition of Smackdown did a 1.86 rating with 2,917,000 viewers.

Rating remained steady. Still needs to crack that 2 and remain above it for it to at least be called a success.

The 8/22 edition of Raw did a 3.0 rating with 4,637,000 viewers. The show did hours of 2.93 and 3.01.

Barely above the 3 figure now. Clearly people weren't happy with the explanation, or possibly lack thereof, or at least expected something bigger. If things don't improve WWE might possibly switch back to Punk/Cena which was doing quite well.

Other shows outside of wrestling still draw massive numbers so I think it just comes down to less people watching any wrestling these days. Punk vs. Cena started to win some back but they haven't been able to retain all these viewers.

The 8/28 edition of Raw did a 3.15 rating with 4,650,000 viewers. The show did hours of 3.23 and 3.06.

Not the best ratings for either show. RAW did increase a bit but once again the rating dropped as the show went on. Smackdown dropped slightly.

Will be looking forward to the rating for Smackdown this week since it is live and on a tuesday.

The 8/30 Super Smackdown live special did a 2.14 rating with 3,283,000 viewers.

Excellent rating with half a million more people tuning in. Maybe this will give WWE some food for thought that showing Smackdown live on Tuesdays may be the right move.

The 9/2 replay of the Super Smackdown show, which aired live on 8/30, did a 1.21 rating with 1,660,000 viewers.

Excellent rating considering it was a replay. Overall that is a 3.35 rating with 4,943,000 viewers. Syfy and WWE should seriously consider the Tuesday night option.

The 9/5 edition of Raw did a 3.0 rating with 4.2 million viewers. Once again viewership dropped as the show went on as hour one did a 3.06 and hour two did a 2.94. Monday Night Football returns next week with a doubleheader.

This is the rating WWE deserves for continuing to ruin a great storyline. I hate to think what next weeks number will be with the NFL back on tv.

Still just under the 2 rating but it is getting closer to it. WWE really need to put another big face on Smackdown to help cover the loss of Undertaker, Edge and Mysterio.

The 9/12 edition of Raw did a 2.72 rating with 3,856,000 viewers. The first hour did a 2.72 and the second did a 2.71.

The first NFL game on ESPN did a 10.62 with 14,568,000 viewers while the second game did a 8.21 rating with 11,109,000 viewers.

!!!!

Very worrying news for WWE. If RAW actually had some strong feuds then it would do okay. If they kept Punk vs. Cena going the rating would have remained above a three. The ratings for the NFL are very impressive and I worry about where the RAW ratings will go during the NFL season. Panic stations for WWE.

The rating dropped again. WWE really need more big faces on the show to actually draw in viewers.

Proves that old names doesn't bring ratings at all. Edge show failing badly in the ratings proves my point that WWE need to stop relying on guys that are already legends and give the new breed a chance. Fuck Randy Orton and Fuck Christian let's have guys like Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes shining on Smackdown. It's succeeded as a show that showcases talent ready for a main event push before so make it happen again.

They simply need more faces. The only face that is pushed as a maineventer is Orton and he has never drawn since coming to Smackdown. When Christian was the top face he drew ratings but WWE then turned him and cost them more viewers. Sheamus, Sin Cara, Bryan and Gabriel are the rest of the faces but none have been pushed strongly enough for long enough to draw big ratings. If WWE actually got behind all four of those as top faces to feud with the big heels then viewers might actually tune in.

The 9/19 edition of Raw did a 3.0 rating with 4,325,000 viewers. The recent trend of hour two dropping was back as hour one did a 3.07 and hour two did a 2.95.

Good to see that they managed to get back to the 3 rating even against strong competition. They need to build on that though and 3 has to be the absolute minimum target. If they had some maineventers other than Punk, Cena and Del Rio (note I don't include Miz and Truth simply because they are a team at the moment). They need to push the midcarders A LOT more.

I think the benchmark rating for RAW should be 3.0 and Smackdown a 2.0. If WWE reach those ratings I think they'll be happy.

I agree with those two benchmarks. At this stage that should be the minimum for both and they should be aiming for 4.0 for RAW and 3.0 for Smackdown.
