It will also be interesting to see how this affects their international TV deals once they expire. Because those deals may not seem so great to like a UK tv channel when someone can just sub to netflix (which they prob already are) instead of paying for the channel, for example

From what I read it won't be both simultaneously. If there is no contract it's on Netflix but if there are contracts it won't be. So WWE can still have it's own deal in countries but then Netflix gets it if there's no deal.

The rumor is Fox passed bc ad rates for SmackDown still weren't what they should have been based on the ratings bc wrestling fan demos are still not deemed optimal even in 18-49

yeah and even tho the rating were great, they actually were expecting higher over the 5 year span so one year wasn't enough for them. It doesn't mean WWE did badly either, just that FOX had different expectations for their investment.

Netflix are in a better position to take a risk because this could end up doing good subs for them tbh

Their subs should theoretically rise and possibly explode. Raw fans won’t want to be left in the dust and will sub if they’re not already. I can tell you I haven’t subbed in years and will renew for Raw.
