WWE RAW 1st August 2011 - LIVE Discussion

Last week we saw the first RAW with Triple H in charge and there were some big moments on the show. Rey Mysterio won the vacant WWE title in the opening match but then had to face Cena in the mainevent. Cena won that match and the title and then to end the show CM Punk returned, came out to the ring and held his title high.

Announced for this week is a Battle Royale to determine who will face Kelly Kelly for the title at SummerSlam. It will feature all the Diva's from Smackdown and RAW. It has also been announced that Punk will address the WWE Universe on the show.

What will happen this week?
Who will win the Divas title shot?
What will happen with Punk and Cena?
Will HHH do anything special on the show?​

I somehow see Rey getting upset that he won't be able to defend the title in his hometown for Summerslam. I see The Miz or ADR coming out setting up a match for San Diego Summerslam.

I see Ziggler facing Masters or someone, he really needs someone fresh. Makes me wonder what Ryder is going to do this week on RAW actually. CM Punk Promo of course.

Alicia Fox should win the Divas Title shot in my opinion, only heel I see credible enough to face Kelly Kelly.

Punk/Cena will be announced and I believe the segment will be that epic that something special is going down again.

HHH will probably make a contract signing happen for Punk/Cena or something along the lines.

Can't wait to hear Cult of Personality!

I look forward to seeing what reaction Punk receives when his music hits and he comes out to address the crowd. I expect a contract signing to happen where Cena vs. Punk to determine the WWE Champion at SummerSlam is booked. Triple H will be involved with that.

Mysterio, Truth, Miz, Del Rio are all big names that need to be booked into a match at SummerSlam and I expect them to hint at something on RAW this week.

The Divas match I struggle to come up with a name to win it. Tamina is the only name that stands out but I am not confident she will win.

I am an idiot. Forget about Truth in that equation, he will be facing Morrison at SummerSlam I am sure of it. They need to restart the feud that was stopped by Morrison's injury.

Or could they possibly put those two in a tag team match on opposite sides? Miz & Truth vs. Mysterio & Morrison? That way they can get the others onto the card as well and also stretch out the Morrison/Truth feud.

Tag match could work for something like that Troy.

I still don't know why you're ruling Alicia Fox off. She's the only other heel that seems credible... Tamina, yeah... I can see why... Just would prefer her to cut promos. Divas needs to cut promos. I'd mark out if Maryse won, she's hardly used these days

RAW is around twelve hours away and I am once again looking forward to RAW. Three weeks in a row where there has been a storyline that makes RAW must watch. WWE have made good choices for closing segments to leave people wanting more.

I will be online tomorrow for this and hopefully we get more members joining in the fun.

Up until a month or two back I didn't realise she was still on the main roster. She was terrible as a wrestler before when she was champion and I would rather see Tamina get the title shot instead.

I agree, it will be quite interesting to see who gets the shot. Tamina's an under-rated wrestler and would love to have her win it then face Nattie or Beth even.

I hope Ziggler has a decent feud, seriously just wish Rey would already feud with him.

I do like that it is unpredictable and that it isn't obvious who will win. I just hope they pick a diva that can wrestle rather than one of the models.

It would be good if they put Ziggler into a proper feud especially with SummerSlam right around the corner. I would like to see someone like Bourne or Ryder get an opportunity but my pick would be Alex Riley. Keeps him in a solid storyline and helps him build on what he has done so far since turning face.

- Morrison & Rey vs. Miz & Truth (This could work for Summerslam tbh)
- CM Punk Promo to start show
- Divas Battle Royal

Looks like a decent show by the looks of it. I wonder who Del Rio will feud with at Summerslam, I fear he's going nowhere unless he feuds with Kofi... That'd make a bit of sense but yeah... It's sad to see Del Rio's push somewhat looking stopped for now.
