CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK!

That is why CM Punk is so much better than the rest of the WWE roster on the mic. His delivery feels more realistic and you can see the emotion shining through. Everyone else might as well be walking out there with a script in their hand.

That's the problem, everyone else is basically walking out there scripted while I believe Punk has been given free rein. I've been watching a lot of old stuff recently, shit Val Venis was a great promo by today's standards. They aren't going to find out if they have lightning in a bottle if they don't trust their guys to go out there and put their character's thoughts into the performer's words.

Truth & Miz aren't and don't seem scripted... same with Cena.

Unfortunately, tonight, Cena got back to the kiddy shit he was doing before the Punk feud... sucks to see him having taken a step back.

I just wish they'd let these guys go out there and do their thing.

Every month Punk pulls me out of my "suspension of disbelief" into legitimate belief in the product's reality. I mean, I eventually fall back into realizing it was all planned, but I have those moments where I'm all like, "No he didn't!"... Please don't make fun of me too harshly...

I don't grasp what you are getting at with the "taking steps back since the Punk feud" statement. Nothing has changed, just his storyline, he's still cutting the same type promo and it is superior to anyone elses not named Punk. Cena does the kid thing because he appeals to the kids. It's never going to change. He's not as awful as some want to make him out to be. Once someone can pop the crowd the way he does, as consistently as he does, then maybe people have some stronger legs to stand on then the tired "he iz kiddy, I aintz a kiddy. I h8 him.". It works, yes it can be better, but it works, he draws, he sells. Period. There is no one on the roster except for Rey that brings the kind of money making ability Cena brings.

I'm not trying to jump your case, but all the anti Cena sentiment is just so tiresome. What you've been seeing for the past 6 years is what your getting for the foreseeable future until the E grows a set and turns him heel. He hasn't regressed, he's cutting the same promo, the only difference is his storyline is lighter in tone again. Yes, again, most adolescents and adults aren't going to get off to the guy, he is aimed to get Little Jimmy's parent's money and the marks as well. He isn't here to please the IWC, but inversely the E has given the IWC Punk, so there you go. Just so tired of hearing it, the man does his job better than anyone else (if someone did it better they'd be popping the crowd CONSISTENTLY (and your a fucking liar if you claim anyone is doing this) and drawing the $ he does) and has been putting on great matches for 4 years now. You can have a dick rash but scratching it isn't going to make it stop itching. Just get over it, IWC.

No, I wasn't saying he's not still miles ahead of everyone... I don't care if he plays to the kids... but he ran 3 months, these last two weeks even, delivering promos which were not of the pandering variety he had been doing. There was absolutely no reason to return to it tonight, he was doing great the past couple weeks and it wasn't causing him to not sell or draw.

Kurrgan was a better promo than most of WWE's current roster.

Pretty happy I didn't end up going to this. Would have been a huge waste of money given what was on TV last night. It also reinforced the Ottawa curse.

I doubt their coming back to Ottawa for a big show anytime soon either. Only like 8000 people apparently in an arena that holds 18,500.

Meh, at least MTL is only 2 hours away if I want to go see a show that they'll put some effort into.

Thank god NOH is this Sunday. I couldn't take another battle of words between HHH and Punk. This is like the third week in a row they're talking for 10+ minutes saying what? Seriously there was no need for this one, only momentum I'm getting for this match is H has no neck in suits and Punk likes bringing up the past.

What was the point of Beth running in at the end of that Kelly Kelly match? She runs in... sorta, gets kicked out goes back in Kelly Kelly raises the title as she leaves. Shit was that?

And that WWE 9/11 video was terrible.
