Millenium and Old Trafford are way too big too IMO, 75k just seating alone, then you have the pitch too.

Valid point, but who knows? I know sales are down right now on tickets for house shows and tv tapings, but I kinda expected that considering they've been coming here for years and putting on rubbish shows. I think the added incentive of a PPV would be enough for even the casual fans to shed out and buy tickets, whereas they wouldn't just for a regular show. Not only that but a large amount of WWE fans from the UK travel to Mania, as well as people from all over Europe, and I'm sure europeans would fly over for a ppv in the uk.

IMO they would only have a chance of selling out 75,000 stadiums if it was for one of the big ppvs, but the time difference makes that almost a non-starter. It didn't matter with the Rebellion style events because the American's weren't bothered about them.

There are a whole host of problems with this idea, most already touched on. You have to remember that after awhile those UK only ppvs became a joke, outside of One Night Only and Rebellion 99 (one of the best live events I have attended!) most of them lacked that big event feel. Also I don't think WWE is the big draw in the UK at the moment than it was during its 90s peak.

But what kind of PPV would they have over there? As it's been stated, the time change would make it difficult for some people to see live. It couldn't be a major PPV that has build up.

Still say that if they're to do one over here then Wembley would be the best fit.

If it's a Summerslam, than one of their outdoor arena's would be nice I guess.

Personally although I have never been there, the stadium in Cardiff seems an awesome vanue and got a very good replation when it was hosting the Cup Finals. So I say why not hold it there.

I still think the stories bullshit and that there are far too many problems to overcome.

I think Dave Meltzer was the first person to break this news so I'm sure there's some truth to this whole story.

If this is all true, then I don't see why they wouldn't be looking at Wembley to host a big show. It's in a convenient location and would probably attract the most people from around the UK. It also has a roof, which would be pretty handy considering there could be a chance of rain at any time during the year.

I just can't see it happening especially not with something as big as SummerSlam. WWE have spent the past few years positioning that PPV in LA so that they can get some Hollywood stars to appear and get connections there. I can't see them taking that to the UK unless they start the PPV at midnight in the UK, a delayed PPV won't sell that well because people will just read the spoilers.
