gerweck.net said:WWE will debut in China today with a 90 minute free show at the Expo 2010
Shanghai. The 8,000 seater Expo Cultural Center will be hosting the live
event, a first for the Chinese fans. More than 240 countries and
international organizations are participating with about 145 international
pavilions at the Expo so this will be a great way for WWE to advertise their
brand. “WWE is honored that the Chinese government and Expo 2010 Shanghai
have offered us this rare, historic opportunity to perform at the successful
Shanghai World Expo,†said WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon when the
announcement was made. “We are thankful to be allowed to entertain the
attendees and our fans in the region at Expo 2010 Shanghai.†Top WWE
Superstars John Cena, Chris Jericho, Randy Orton and others will be
performing at the show. WWE opened an office in Shanghai in 2007.
Big news in so many different levels. Could put this in serious discussion and mention communism and how this introduces western traditions in their face. Or we can talk about how this could open up the door for rising up Chinese wrestlers and whateves. Big news.
