So every year the WWE decides to let some of their contracted performers...
go and wishes them the best of luck on their future endeavors.

In 2016...Wade Barrett, Damien Sandow, Cameron and Adam Rose were all let go...
Alberto Del Rio walked, Cody Rhodes asked to leave and Ryback simply didn't sign
a new contract.

No doubt in 2017 wrestling fans will see a similar list start to form and this
thread is for us to post our somewhat sad predictions on who the WWE will be let
go during the next 12 months.

Now...I'm going to get the ball rolling with...

Paige:
So 2016 was a really sad year for Paige career wise...and while she now may-be
happy in her personal life...I doubt we will ever see her in a WWE ring again.

The relationship with Aberto Del Rio, the company dividing them with the brand
split, two wellness policy violations, a neck injury followed by neck surgery
outside of the WWE system and it just seems like every week there is new story
about the craziness of her current life and relationship with Del Rio.

A recent news report released states that Paige will not be cleared to actually
wrestle until summer...but will she still even be with the company by that time?

Now I just want to state that I think Paige is a fantastic performer with a unique
look, amazing personality, solid (but basic) in-ring skills and her early work in
NXT has clearly been forgotten by many of those who champion the 4 Horsewomen.

But...I think it all comes down to Paige reaching the highest level of success
(on the main roster) too quickly. I mean...she won the Divas title in her first
main roster match. Was it a fun and shocking moment? Yes...but was it the best
for her career in the long term? No...it wasn't...because after that...everything
else is going to feel like a step backwards for her.

I'm just saying Paige was pushed too much, too soon and now she is missing out on
opportunities she helped lay the ground work for.

It's sad...and while I hope she remains happy and healthy...I doubt she'll see out
2017 with the WWE.

May-be she'll end up in TNA with Del Rio...hmmm...Rosemary vs. Paige...I'd pay to
see that.

So...I ask you my fellow forum members...who do you believe on the current WWE
roster won't see out the year?

Paige, Rosa Mendes, Darren Young, Rhyno, Hideo Itami and Apollo Crews are some that come to mind.

A handful of developmental talent will most likely be released, too.

Darren Young
I agree-gree...
He should join the Wyatts after the Orton storyline is done...
Hideo Itami
Isn't he amazing in the ring?
Apollo Crews
Wow...that would be a shame...but the WWE can't use/push everyone...

I'd say: Curtis Axel, Titus O'Neil, Curt Hawkins, Fandango, Jack Swagger,
The Ascension & Tyler Breeze...

My way of thinking is...clean these guys out and elevate some NXT talent...
that way it will help freshen up the rosters and give the younger guys a shot
at some main roster matches and TV time.

- The Wyatt Family shouldn't be adding more members once they end the storyline with Orton, tbh. The family itself should go their separate ways. And Rhyno will most likely leave and then come back when they need him again, tbh.

- Hideo's good, but he's spent the majority of his run in NXT injured. He should've been on the main roster once he returned from shoulder injury a few months ago. But, instead, he was put back on NXT TV and is now out with a 'minor' neck injury.

- Crews was called up from many NXT way too early. They will either send him back to NXT or release him.

- As for Axel and all those guys you mentioned, it's most likely going to happen.

Paige probably will be released, no questions.

Some others come to mind are Jack Swagger, D-Young, Titus O'Niel, and Curtis Axel.

I wouldn't jump on Hideo yet...his injury recently was because he was facing someone still green and they botched an easy powerslam. He can still be a solid IC Champ on the main roster at least, or be a major face in the CW division that they need.

Titus, Paige and Itami are likely to go, Itami is probably 50/50. But I could easily see them considering him a lost cause.

Don't see D-Young going. WWE won't want that PR nightmare of releasing their one openly gay talent. They'll much rather let his contract expire by itself.

I honestly never know with these. Seems like they release people you would not expect and then keep others around who have not had a true purpose in YEARS.

Paige, Summer Rae, Axel, Swagger, Rosa Mendes, Erick Rowan, Ascension, probably both Fandango and Breeze.

Wouldn't be surprised if most of the people that I listed would get released/leave WWE in 2017.

Paige's "shit" was all a work for Total Divas
Including the wellness policy violations? And all the "incidents" with Del Rio?
And the neck injury?

Exactly why would any wrestler put their "actual career" on the line for a shitty
reality show?

Yes...I watch Total Divas...and I know its a "work" and yes I know its
bad...I also like watching bad movies...its a different kind of entertainment..

Yeah its all apart of the script man. That's what makes good television.

So...the wellness policy violations are not real? Its all a work?

Are you on crack?

Does this forum have a wellness policy? We should have one...

The wellness policy was only created to kayfabe give wrestlers vacation time
