Shin Gojira (2016)
I like it more every time I watch it...
Godzilla is portrayed as a true force
of nature & the characters are likeable
and engaging.

Sudden Impact (1983)
The 4th Dirty Harry film in the series
and it was pretty good.

Very good movie, albeit simplistic for a thriller. Nothing much to say about it other than that. I did find it kinda weird how Eastwood's love interest is like 30 years old, but eh. It worked.

Four Brothers

Critics really fucked up with this one, it's a great movie, the action in this flick is video game like but grounded in reality, it's almost like a Grand Theft Auto movie. It doesn't force humor, isn't as all over the place tone wise as you'd expect given the plot and the casting choices.

Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla, the 2001 version. It was much better than I thought it would be, being that I am a huge fan of the original continuity I wasn't sure I'd enjoy it but I did.

Hey...that is an Awesome pick Jakey-Jake...with some of
the best kaiju suits & kaiju performances in the entire franchise.

giphy.gif

Try Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S next which is a direct (kind of) sequel
with even better effects & more epic kaiju action!

Well...I have a few more...

1). Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack (2001)
My all time favorite Godzilla film made by one of my all time favorite directors.

2). Godzilla vs. Hedorah (1971)
A complete 70's acid trip...with Godzilla fighting a giant pile of liquid garbage.
The soundtrack has to be heard to be believed.

3). Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989)
Another really strange film in the series with some epic special effects &
crazy monster designs.

4). Destroy All Monsters (1968)
A Classic monster mash featuring 10 kaiju & alien invaders trying to take
over the world.

5). Godzilla: Final Wars (2004)
A completely stupid over the top, kung fu, alien invasion kaiju war with
bad acting & bad effects. It is a lot of fun though.

Watched the new Jumanji movie...

It was just ok... there were funny parts.. the nod to the original was nice.. the dick jokes were repetitive and too frequent.

Worth a watch.. but only one watch.

Light Touch (1951) starring Stewart Granger and Pier Angeli. Sam Conride (Granger) is an art thief who's working all the angles as he steals a valuable painting Enrico Banetti's The Savior from a museum and sells it to his business partner Felix Guignol. But there was a change of plans as Conride realizes how valuable the painting is, he keeps the painting to himself and tells his business partner that the painting was burned in a fire. Conride tells Guignol & his associates that since there's so many talented painters in Italy, that they should enlist the help of a young artist who can paint an exact forgery of the real deal and sell it to unsuspecting collectors and make a profit. They agree. Conride enlists the help of an innocent, naive painter Anna (Pier Angeli) to paint the forgeries.

Granger is suave and debonair as the conman who knows how to hit the right buttons as he pressures Anna to paint the forgeries. He sweeps her off her feet as he gently pressures her to paint the forgeries by lying to her and telling her the original painting was stolen from a church and she must paint the forgeries to give to the church. She believes him.

The story runs a bit too long at over ninety minutes as the plot was rather thin.

Just watched a movie on Netflix called "Boys in the Trees" and it was fantastic. I had never heard of it before and it was listed under horror, but it was more of a dark fantasy. It was like "Bridge to Terabithia" but with a bite to it. It was atmospheric and mesmerizing. Honestly, it's already in my list of favorites ever and I am a huge movie buff so that is saying a lot. I'm still greatly affected by it.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens RiffTrax Version (2015)
So I'm a big MST3K fan...and by default I'm
a RiffTrax fan. This RiffTrax was okay I guess...
but I must admit I'm looking forward to the team
riffing on the Last Jedi.

The Star Wars Holiday Special RiffTrax Version (1978)

Its really the only way anyone could get through
this misguided train wreck...the RiffTrax crew
manage to make it funny & watchable.

Justice League (2017)
So...Wonder Woman & the Flash were cool...
but...the film itself was one giant mess.

This is what you get for rushing your entire
film series playing catch up Warner Bros.

What's the bet a reboot is coming sooner
rather than later.

Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
Wow...so...this was fantastic. The look, the sound,
the performances...it was all excellent. Thankfully
they didn't "Pull A Prometheus" and ruin the legacy
of the original

I highly recommend this film to everyone.

Underrated movie from the Halloween series.

Yeah it gets such a bad rap because it's not in the Michael Myers continuity but it was a pretty good movie and definitely better than 4, 5 and 6.
