Tyler Breeze vs. MoJo Rawley
Breeze toys with him for a minute before locking in an armbar on Mojo's injured arm for the win.
Earlier in the week, Enzo and Cass go into GM Regals' office. Enzo asks for a favour to get eyes on Mella and maybe give her a tryout. Regal sees through it and asks if he wants help to get a date. The go to the gym and Mella does some drills, Regal seems impressed and says bring her next Thursday. She hugs Cass and pushes Enzo away as he goes for the hug.
Victor vs. Hideo Itami
Not good, not good at all. Victor doesn't bump or even sell for Hideo's kicks which is 90% his offense, so fuck him. He then proceeds to do his shitty portion of heat, like he just takes what he does in tag matches and adds it to this. It's about the same time too, this is so bad. Hideo makes a comeback, but Connor comes out on the stage with a KO'ed Funaki but that distraction fails and Hideo hits a shitty one-legged dropkick for the win. After the match; Connor runs down and lays Hideo out again. They tie Hideo up to the ropes and beat on him some more. Funaki tries to make the save, but they drop him with the Fall of man. UGH!
During the break, Funki gets stretchered out. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! Stretcher job for that shitty double team.
Before the match, Enzo and Cass come out. They do their stuff before Cass says "They come out here flexing like they're Arnold, more like Heyy Arnold. You should never has stepped off the stool" And it was this very night in 2014, I became a fan. Oh, how times have changed.
The VaudeVillians vs. Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady
Super short, they run the same match they've been doing and it works. Cass kills them on his hot tag, but Enzo gets distracted by English which allows Gotch to throw him into the middle turnbuckle and they finish him off with that's a wrap for a win. Enzo and Cass are like the most over jobbers.
Backstage: Sami says he's feeling pretty good about his match with Titus tonight, he says Titus should be a monster and he kinda is. But this is also the guy who is currently embroiled in a battle with a bunny. So, you know. If he thinks he can turn NXT into a proving ground he's wrong.
Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks
Becky now has dark red hair, so she doesn't look so "Irish" Sasha now has her BOSS music and her swagger is on 100, it's not quite when she was at her peak heel champ run in 2015 but it's pretty close. This is good but not what it could be with the short time, Becky isn't on Sasha's level but she's not really built to be just yet. This is mostly to get Sasha on the map for a future title match. She ends up winning with the bank statement. **
Titus O'Neil vs. Sami Zayn
This gets over 10 minutes and by far the worse Sami match in NXT, it's got a great story in the match with Sami who is a little over confident cause Titus is in HIS house, and he doesn't think Titus is good or on his level. But he quickly learns that it's not easy to take him off his feet, and he's even more powerful than he thought so Titus dominates way too long, and that' when the match dips. Titus isn't good at all, he will find greatness in his hot tags in about a year but now. He's just the generic jacked up guy that throws pretty shitty blows. He's very 93-95 RAW main event talent and would be perfect against Hogan in Hogan's prime. Sami bumps all over for him, which helps but it just drags on and on before the Sami comeback, but Titus survives it all and blocks the tornado DDT into a sweet looking Clash of the Titus powerbomb and pins Sami CLEAN~! *3/4
This doesn't seem like the call-up trial match that NXT has done in the past, but it's all part of the bigger picture
After the match; Titus tries to murder Sami with a squash from off the top to Sami who is on the apron, but Neville makes the save.
