SPOILER:

So Reigns’ big announcement was that he wants the tag titles unified as well. I’m hype as fuck for it and think it should’ve happened a long, long time ago. Both shows divisions are weak as fuck, so one division could be decent.

Would think they’ll run this at Backlash.

So they do appear to be going in the direction I thought they would.

Honestly one set of belts is all you need unless you have a seriously deep roster on both and know how to book them, but seriously it’s easier to do one.

If that’s the route they’re gonna go then I’m cool with it. SD doesn’t have another team outside the New Day and Los Lotharios since Boogs is out.

I know the Bloodline is the top act in WWE right now but if you’re unifying the titles, you gotta keep them on RK-Bro

Probably for the best. I actually think the RAW tag scene is pretty solid. RK-Bro, Street Profits, Alpha Academy all been pretty good.

Combine both brands, and you got a pretty good tag division.

This what I always say. The 2002-2007 portion of the original split was great, but once you start to half ass it, forget it.

I always liked where there was a split roster but the champ was on both shows. just felt special when triple h from raw would show up on smackdown because he won the title at the ppv.

if you have two sets of belts - they need to be differentiated by more than just shows. Should of tried to copy the Japan model

I mostly agree.

I’ve always said if you have two “brands” it needs more than separate rosters to split them.

They need different presentations, different titles, different ways of booking.

The first 5 years of the first split did this brilliantly. Raw had the women’s title, SmackDown the Cruiserweight.

SmackDown had the “divas” and Raw had the wrestlers.

Raw had more sports entertainment, SmackDown had the guys that were more focused on having great matches.

The colors of the sets were different, Raw had the table by the entrance and SmackDown by the ring etc.

No problem with unifying the belts but brand split must remain. The roster is way too big imo. We don't need happy corbin on both shows taking up time from the likes of Balor and Ricochet

I prefer each show to have its own belts but the current tag team division is so shallow that this unification makes sense.
Raw has what, four teams?

It’s fine with me. The tag division is shallow enough that one belt is fine. I just wonder what kind of brand split we gonna have now if any. I feel like WWE has been going back and forth on the brand split for years now. I just want consistent booking.
