Tenay, Cornette, and Taz welcomed us to the show and kicked it off with Collyer’s TV Title rematch.

Some footage played of Taylor beating Collyer on Xplosion.

Match 1: Dave Taylor[c] vs Chad Collyer [TNA Television Championship]
Collyer went right after the arm this time, but Taylor met him with that and they had a lot of mat exchanges. Dueling arm work, and Collyer got upset at not being able to outwork him, so he started throwing suplexes. Stuff happened, Taylor stiffed him a bunch, and then won with an undetected low blow, DDT, and rollup with tights, because fuck yeah scrappy old men.
Winner via pinfall and still TNA Television Champion: Dave Taylor (8:11)

--Commercial Break--

Dave Taylor came to the back with his TV Title, the first smile on his face in 49 years. He came up to Doug Williams, who was just in awe, but told him that he would reward him a new leash for his pug.

Match 2: Monty Brown/Bryan Danielson vs T.Y.S.O.N.
Mostly a showcase for Brown and Danielson. Dux and Danielson did some mat stuff, but some stuff elbows set the Canuck back. Monty killed people, and Dux got pinned after the POUNCE~~~~~! Period.
Winners via pinfall: Monty Brown/Bryan Danielson (4:46)

Again, they wanted title matches. But this time, Christian Cage came out! He basically told them that they weren’t worthy, since he beat BOTH OF THEM as champion. Monty asked if he wanted to try to do it again, to grab a partner and meet them on Xplosion!

--Commercial Break--

Homicide was in Booker T’s office, and apparently he summoned him there today. Cide asked if this was about him sitting out his contract, because he wasn’t about to wrestle. Booker said it was about the attack on Joe on Xplosion, and he asked if he played a role! Homicide said fuck this noise, and started to storm off. He said that Nash wouldn’t give him this shit, and maybe he’d wrestle on Xplosion on Saturday. Booker told him to wait, and that he could give him a big match tonight if he promised to come back to work. Cide asked what it was… and Booker T offered him AJ Styles!

Match 3: Roderick Strong/Chris Hero/Chuck Taylor/Fit Finlay vs Doug Williams/TJ Perkins/Scott Lost/Kenny King
SPOTFEST. Everybody got good action, and the Second Best Friends really went after Roddy. Hero and Finlay had a battle of one-upmanship. Finlay got to kill TJ a bunch. Chuck struggled with his transition to being a real wrestler again, but he had partners to back him up this time. After a finisher train, Hero pinned Lost with the Hero’s Welcome.
Winners via pinfall: Chris Hero/Roderick Strong/Chuck Taylor/Fit Finlay (7:49)

The faces celebrated in the ring, and the Second Best Friends regrouped on the outside.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, the Hooliganz were getting ready. Kendrick said he knows that London is in a slump, but tonight is a great opportunity to get out of that slump. London took a deep breath and said he was ready.

AJ Styles said he was informed that he had Homicide tonight in a non-title match, and he said he’d beat him like he has before, no problem.

Mike Tenay said he had received word that Christian had picked a partner, and it would be Monty/Danielson vs Christian/Young on Xplosion!

--Commercial Break--

Bailout came out to sit at ringside, and Burke replaced Cornette on commentary.

Match 4: Chris Sabin/Jimmy Jacobs vs 2 Crazy Negroes vs The Hooliganz [Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders Match]
Two guys in at a time, James Gang rule in place. Total nonstop action. London needed some motivation from Kendrick a couple points through the match, Lethal’s knee started to bother him after flying around, but nobody targeted it at first. A dive train broke out, which Jacobs won with a suicide dive!

--Commercial Break--

After a bit more full-on action, Sabin/Jacobs isolated Lethal by going after his leg. They cooperated with the Hooliganz to do the same, and it lasted a while. Kendrick convinced London to end it with the Shooting Star Press, but Lethal moved! HOT TAG TO CERED! He cleaned house on the Hooliganz, and soon everybody rushed the ring. Lots of chaos and moves being done. Sabin hit Creed with the Springboard Tornado DDT, but Kendrick dove to save! Jacobs came in and tried the Code 616, but Kendrick blocked and HIT HIS OWN SLICED BREAD #2! ONE … TWO … THRE - Lethal broke it up! London took him out with a Missile Dropkick, and then pulled up Jacobs for the Waffle Face! Sabin took him out with a crossbody, but then Kendrick leveled him with a Superkick! Creed grabbed Kendrick from behind, but Kendrick dropped him with an enzuigiri! He climbed up top! SHOOTING STAR PRESS! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall and #1 contenders to the TNA Tag Team Championship: The Hooliganz (11:58)

The Hooliganz celebrated in the ring, but Bailout slid in. They tried to hit them with the belts, but London and Kendrick ducked and hit twin Superkicks to send the champs out of the ring!

Jeff Jarrett reminded everybody that he always has a backup plan, and right now, it’s Gunner & Murphy.

--Commercial Break--

Match 5: James Storm w/ Jackie Moore vs Murphy w/ Gunner
Storm came with a bunch of fire, but Murphy shut him down with his power. He clubbered around some, but Storm finally got him down with a Flying Blockbuster. He managed to get him up for the Eye of the Storm to win.
Winner via pinfall: James Storm (4:56)

Jarrett ran out again while Gunner slid in to attack. Storm tried to take on all three, but the numbers got to him. The heels beat him down until CHRIS HARRIS~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ RAN DOWN FOR THE SAVE! AMW sent them packing, then celebrated in the ring.

--Commercial Break--

AMW was in the back and Harris said that the best tag team in TNA history was back to kick Jarrett’s ass and then dominate TNA’s tag division again.

Backstage, Homicide said that he was about to do what Low Ki was too yellow to do--beat the shit out of AJ Styles. He started to walk off, but Samoa Joe walked up! He welcomed Homicide back to work, but Cide just walked off.

Commentary hyped that Robert Roode had a HUGE announcement for Saturday’s Xplosion!

--Commercial Break--

Match 6: AJ Styles vs Homicide [Non-Title]
Homicide was suuuper aggressive, pretty much skipping over mat work and going right to throwing punches. Styles stepped up and met him with a slugfest. When Cide started to actually gain an advantage, Styles kicked on of his punches away and drove him to the mat. Homicide tried to wiggle out, but Styles got him in a twisting wrist lock, bending it against the mat! Homicide got to the ropes, but Styles stomped and elbowed at his hand a bunch. Homicide tried to fight back with his good hand, but now Styles could brawl easily with him, and a big Discus Lariat sent Cide to the outside! Styles followed him out to the floor, but Homicide drove him into the barricade! Styles held at his back, but then Cide hit a big neckbreaker on the floor! The world champion held at his head going into break.

--Commercial Break--

Homicide was working over Styles’ head to play off of his series with Christian. When Styles survived most of Homicide’s bombs, he got really pissed and started just choking at the world champ. The ref kept forcing him off and threatening a DQ, so Cide tried the Gringo Killer, but Styles rolled through and hit a Pele Kick! Homicide reeled, but Styles took too long for the Phenomenal DDT, and Homicide countered with an Exploder Suplex! ONE … TWO … THRE - Styles kicked out! Homicide lined up for the West Brooklyn Lariat, but Styles ducked and caught Cide coming back with the RACK BOMB! ONE … TWO … THRE - Homicide grabbed the bottom rope! Both guys took a while getting up and then started to throw strikes, and AJ got on a roll with sharp chops! Homicide struck back with a big punch, but it was with his bad hand and it made him flinch and Styles hit the BRAINBUSTER! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: AJ Styles (12:33)

AJ Styles got up and celebrated, but Homicide got up and attacked him! He started choking him in the corner, BUT LOW KI RAN OUT! Homicide told him to go to the back, but Low Ki wouldn’t back down, and finally Cide gave in and returned to the back, pissed. Low Ki helped AJ Styles up, and Styles thanked him. He picked up his World Title, but Low Ki stopped him. He pointed at AJ’s belt, and said his first ever words on TV … “THAT TITLE IS MINE!”

TNA Xplosion
Resch Center
Green Bay, Wisconsin
August 6, 2011

Tazz and Raven came out as the regular commentators, and then goddamn Larry Zbysko joined the crew just for tonight.

Kevin Nash came out to the XPLOSION ZONE~ as the NEW Xplosion General Manager. He said that he had officially hired Raven as the new color commentator here on Xplosion, and that’s just the first of many changes to the show. He hyped his show as the home of the X-Division, and the best wrestling every week, including whatever Booker T is putting on over on Impact. He said that of course wrestlers are free to compete on either show, but he’s taken it upon himself to provide the best opportunities to those who agree to sign weekly matches with him. For tonight, he announced Alex Shelley vs Jimmy Rave in the main event, and Monty/Danielson vs Christian/Young and Chuck Taylor vs Doug Williams in the undercard!

--Commercial Break--

Before the match, Rick Steiner dedicated this match to Rascal the Dog!

Match 1: Rick Steiner vs Mr. Anderson
FROM GREEN BAY WISCONSIN, stfu. Total Steiner squash, and he killed Anderson with a dog bone to the skull. He bit him in the ass and WOOF WOOF WOOF. Steiner Driver ended the match, as well as Anderson’s career.
Winner via pinfall: Rick Steiner (1:01)

Steiner led the crowd in a big “RASCAL!” chant before going to the back.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Chuck Taylor vs Doug Williams with Dave Taylor
Williams Pearl Harbor’ed Chuckie at the start, and really laid into him with his trademark knees. He tried to end it quickly with the Chaos Theory, but Taylor kicked him off and jumped up top for the SLOPPY AS HELL MOONSAULT! ONE … TWO … THRE - Williams kicked out! He rolled out to the floor to regroup as Chuck paraded around the ring.

--Commercial Break--

Taylor was ducking and dodging around the ring, managing to escape every strike and throw that Williams tried to level at him. Raven said that he had seen Chuck working on that with Jamie Noble, a road agent in TNA, so he is clearly taking his training seriously. Williams faked a right hand, and when Chuck ducked, Williams busted him in the mouth with a big knee! He threw Chuckie around some now, planting his face on the mat whenever he could. He went for a British Suplex, but Chuck rolled through and swept at Williams’ legs. He sat up, and Chuckie hit a very D’Lo-esque Basement Lariat! ONE … TWO … THR - Williams kicked out! Chuckie tried the Spin Cycle, but Williams shoved him into the corner! He tried the Chaos Theory, but Chuck elbowed away and HIT THE SPIN CYCLE! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Chuck Taylor (9:52)

Chuck Taylor celebrated in the ring. Dave Taylor rolled in to hit him with the belt, but Chuckie ducked and hit a Sloppy As Hell Dropkick! Dave’s title flew to the ground… AND CHUCKIE PICKED IT UP AND HELD IT!

--Commercial Break--

Commentary talked about how there are quite a few strong trios teams in TNA, including the Axis Powers, who have been together for over two years now.

Match 3: Prince Devitt/Kiyoshi/Okato vs The Axis Powers with Masato Tanaka
This was mostly Devitt showing off his high-flying stuff some more, but Koslov refused to get in the ring with him. Tanaka got involved to trip Kiyoshi up, and the Powers beat down their former stablemate. Koslov tried to strap in the Moscow Cloverleaf, but Kiyoshi kicked him off! He nearly made the tag to Devitt, but Tanaka distracted the ref, so he didn’t see it! The ref forced Kiyoshi back, and he turned right into the RED SCARE! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: The Axis Powers (4:47)

The Powers celebrated in the ring, but a brawl broke out.

--Commercial Break--

Don West went up to Amazing Red backstage and said they go way back, and asked if he could be his manager. Red started to say no, but DW stopped him and told him to think about it.

The Second Best Friends cut a promo say that they’re the best trio in the world, and that they’re willing to take on a trios challenge from anybody in the company, including the Danielson/Collyer/Strong clan.

Backstage, Christopher Daniels said that he’s fallen quite a bit, but at least Alex Shelley and Kevin Nash see the value in him, and that’s why he’s been signed to a lucrative X-Division title match with Shelley at No Surrender! He said that he’s offered Jimmy Rave up as a sacrifice tonight, but in three weeks, Alex Shelley was his to destroy.

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Robert Roode vs Ken Doane
Squash for Roode. Doane got in some punches, but Roode shut him down with the Double R Spinebuster. He followed up with the Northern Lariat to get the win.
Winner via pinfall: Robert Roode (1:52)

Roode got a microphone and said that STING BETTER BE AT NO SURRENDER, BECAUSE HE WAS CALLING HIM OUT!

--Commercial Break--

Match 5: The Young Bucks vs 2 Crazy Negroes
The Bucks served as bodies for the Negroes to showcase their double-team stuff on, but then Creed missed a Flying Crossbody from the top. Max and Jeremy worked over his midsection, stretching him out for a while. Then they started doing absurd flippity moves and posing after each one just to be dicks. Max went for a 630 Splash, but Creed moved and hit a big uppercut! Lethal got the hot tag and cleaned house on both guys, and Creed ran across to knock Jeremy out! Max stumbled up into the Lethal Combination, and Jay pinned to get the three-count!
Winners via pinfall: 2 Crazy Negroes (5:10)

The Negroes celebrated, but Sabin and Jacobs came down to the ring! They said that they got Ravarian back for costing them the match at Victory Road, but now they have to deal with the fact that 2CN are the ones that won it. They challenged them to a match for Impact, and the Negroes accepted!

--Commercial Break--

Match 6: Monty Brown/Bryan Danielson vs Christian Cage/Eric Young
Danielson and Christian had a mat exchange for a while, and again Danielson proved to be better there than the bigger names. Young got in to try his luck, but Monty decided he was ready to kill some people. He bumped Young around with his big throws, so he rolled to the outside. Christian went to help him, so Danielson took them both out with a TOPE SUICIDA!!! Commercial Break? NOT YET. Monty Brown climbed up top to come out with a FLYING BODY PRESS!

--Commercial Break--

Monty was bumping both Canucks around, so Christian went after his leg like he had success with at Slammiversary. Only this time, Monty’s leg was perfectly healthy, so lol. Monty hit Christian with clothesline after clothesline, and then a Running Powerslam! ONE … TWO … THRE - Christian kicked out! Danielson got in for the Flying Headbutt, but Cage moved! Young tagged in to work over Danielson’s neck, hitting it over and over with some knees. After he regrouped some, Christian got in to do the same, and Team Canada worked perfectly together to keep AmDrag down. Young tried the Youngblood Neckbreaker, but Danielson flew over and came off the ropes with a Shotgun Dropkick! Both guys were slow to get up, and Young tried to pull Danielson back, BUT HE MADE THE HOT TAG! Alpha Lariat to Young! Jumping Shoulderblock to Christian! Fallaway Slam to Young! ONE … TWO … THRE - Christian broke it up! Danielson rushed the ring to take Christian out, and they traded forearms in the corner. Christian raked him in the eyes and tried the Unprettier, but Danielson headbutted him away and hit a big Dragon Suplex! As soon as he got up, Young grabbed him for the YOUNGBLOOD NECKBREAKER! He stood up, but Monty whipped him against the ropes for the POUNCEEEEE~~~~~~~~! PERIOD! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Monty Brown/Bryan Danielson (12:45)

Monty celebrated in the ring, but Christian rolled in and chop-blocked him down! Danielson came in to run him off, but Young took him down. Dux and Tomko ran out to help beat them down. Christian got super pissed and had Monty’s leg pillmanized! He was helped out to the back.

--Commercial Break--

A replay of Monty’s leg being crushed played.

Match 7: Alex Shelley with Rhino & Angelina Love & Rhino vs Jimmy Rave with The Enlightened [Non-Title]
Complete sprint here, with both guys determined to get as much as possible into under 5 minutes. Rave just threw every bomb he possibly could, and some stuck, but he couldn’t really keep Shelley down. The X-Division Champions stayed in control of things, and he caught Rave springboarding in, countering right into the Shellshock! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Alex Shelley (4:48)

Shelley celebrated in the ring, but Daniels and Kaz rushed in. Love and Daffney kept fighting on the floor, and Rhino ran in to help the champ. They all brawled, BUT SAMOA JOE RAN OUT WHAT THE FUCK! He killed everybody, and then got a microphone! He said that AJ Styles didn’t see who attacked him at Victory Road, but he saw who attacked him last week … AND IT WAS ALEX SHELLEY! Just then Shelley stumbled to his feet, RIGHT INTO THE MUSCLE BUSTER~!~! Samoa Joe picked up the X-Division Championship and held it in the air to close the show!

AJ Styles came out to start the show, and he said that it seems Low Ki wants another shot at the title, but he can’t see what he’s done to deserve it. GM Booker T came down and pointed out that Low Ki has only gotten two title shots, and in one of them he took AJ to a time-limit draw, and in the other one, Chris Daniels won the belt, so certainly AJ didn’t win. He said it seems like AJ just can’t beat Low Ki. AJ brought up Lockdown, but Booker pointed out that he won by escape, and couldn’t even pin him them! AJ got mad and said he likes Low Ki, but just feels like he should prove himself before getting a title shot. Booker T said he had a match in mind, and he booked Low Ki vs Homicide for tonight in a #1 contender’s match!

Commentary reacted to the news, and hyped 2CN vs NAMG and America’s Most Wanted vs The Tennessee Titans!

--Commercial Break--

All parties banned from ringside.

Match 1: Dave Taylor[c] vs Fit Finlay vs TJ Perkins [TNA Television Championship]
Taylor and Finlay had an amazing time beating the shit out of each other. They kept throwing TJ out of the way to get back at each other with slaps, forearms, and kicks. Finally they got annoying by TJ, so they took turns stiffing TJ, trying to one-up the other. Scott Lost and Kenny King came down to help out their buddy, but that drew out Chuck Taylor to stop them! They brawled, and soon Doug Williams snuck down to help Dave Taylor! He got into the ring, but Chris Hero ran down to take him out! Everybody brawled around the outside, and with all the chaos, Dave Taylor surprised Finlay with the BRITISH SUPLEX! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall and still TNA Television Champion: Dave Taylor (5:04)

Taylor celebrated in the ring among the hubbub. Everybody rushed the ring and bodies flew, and Hero stood tall after laying out Dave Taylor with the Rolling Elbow!

AMERICA’S MOST WANTED ARRIVED BACKSTAGE TOGETHER!

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Homicide said Low Ki thinks he’s better than him, but tonight he proves he ain’t.

Match 2: Davey Richards w/ Elijah Burke vs Brian Kendrick w/ Paul London
After a brief mat struggle, Davey started throwing his strikes. Kendrick dodged some forearms and started to kick at his arm. He slowed him down some, and then started to fly around. He managed to avoid Davey’s big stuff, but when he lined up for a Superkick, Burke jumped onto the apron! Kendrick knocked him down, but then turned into a Yakuza Kick from Davey! ONE … TWO … THRE - Kendrick kicked out! Davey beat him around some with strikes, but whenever he tried a threw, Kendrick floated over and rolled through. Davey tried one more Yakuza Kick, but Kendrick ducked and hit a Superkick! He climbed up top, but Burke distracted him. London ran over to get him down, but then Davey threw Kendrick off the top! ONE … TWO … THRE - Kendrick kicked out! Davey tried the Bankrupt Driver, but Kendrick countered with a Falling DDT! BASEMENT SUPERKICK! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Brian Kendrick (6:20)

The Hooliganz celebrated in the ring, and when Bailout tried to attack, they again struck back with twin Superkicks and send the champs packing.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: New Age Machineguns vs 2 Crazy Negroes
Lethal and Sabin had their normal one-on-one exchange with neither one having a real advantage. When the partners started to get involved, the teams repeatedly failed to “out-teamwork†the other. Jacobs ditched the double-team trading and went on his own high-flying spree, and he knocked both Negroes back with a series of dropkicks. Creed tried to sneak in for a DDT, but Jacobs shoved him off and sent him outside with a hurricanrana! Lethal came in and charged, but Jacobs lowbridged him to the outside. Sabin lined up on the apron and came off with a Somersault Plancha!

--Commercial Break--

Sabin and Jacobs were still continuing their strategy of working like two singles guys wrestling separately to control the Negroes, mostly Creed. Sabin eventually overextended himself trying to take on both Negroes, and he got caught up in double-teaming. They worked over his back, and yeah. Sabin dodged the Lethal Elbow and made a comeback, and hit Lethal with an ENZGUIRI! ONE … TWO … THRE - Creed broke it up! Jacobs rushed the ring and everybody fought some, UNTIL RAVARIAN RAN DOWN AND LAID THEM OUT WHAT.
No contest due to interference (11:48)

Ravarian kept kicking at both guys and then celebrated to the back.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Rave said that both the Negroes and the New Guns think they’re better than Ravarian, but they’re not. Kaz said that they’re taking the top spot in the tag team division.

Commentary announced that Monty Brown’s leg had been very injured, and he would be out for some time, and that Bryan Danielson had challenged Christian Cage to a match on Xplosion!

Match 4: Samoa Joe vs Ray Gordy
Total squash for Joe. He won with the Choke.
Winner via submission: Samoa Joe (0:40)

Christian was walking around the back, AND BRYAN DANIELSON RAN UP AND ATTACKED! He laid into him with elbows, but some stagehands pulled him off. Danielson was fuming and nearly broke free a bunch, but everybody held him back as Christian got away.

Jeff Jarrett was pumping up the Tennessee Titans backstage, and he told them never to doubt Double-J!

--Commercial Break--

Match 5: America’s Most Wanted vs Tennessee Titans w/ Jeff Jarrett
AMW reunion! They got to run through a bunch of signature stuff, bumping around the big generic guys. A brief miscommunication led to Storm getting isolated, and the Titans got to show off some offense: lariats, body slams, etc. Jarrett did tons of taunting, which only fired Storm up more. Gunner tried his Fireman’s Carry Facebuster, but Storm spun through and hit the Lungblower! He crawled over to Harris, BUT HARRIS JUMPED OFF THE APRON! Storm was confused, and Gunner pulled him back into an Assisted Powerbomb! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Tennessee Titans (6:45)

NO! NO! NO! Harris climbed back in AND HIT STORM WITH THE CATATONIC! Jarrett rolled in and looked across at Harris, AND THEY SHOOK HANDS! SON OF A BITCH! Harris pulled Storm up, and Jarrett hit him with the Stroke! Harris, Jarrett, and the Titans are celebrated to the back :( Storm pulled himself up and looked crushed.

--Commercial Break--

A replay of Harris turning on Storm played.

Jarrett, Harris, Young, and the Titans were backstage celebrating, and Jarrett said he finally hit Storm where it hurts. He promised Harris a bright singles career in TNA, and they hugged!

James Storm was FUMING in the back, but Lauren caught up for a word. Storm said he felt betrayed, and he was at a loss for words. He said that he never would have thought this would happen since Harris returned in 2009 for their triumphant reunion, but now he was going to have to destroy him.

KURT ANGLE, RETURNING SOON!

--Commercial Break--

TNA World Champion AJ Styles came out to do commentary. Before the match, commentary announced that there would be a big X-Division title announcement on Xplosion. Styles told Tenay to forget the X-Division and focus on the World Title.

Match 5: Low Ki vs Homicide [TNA World Championship #1 Contenders Match]
Slow start, but they finally hooked up to go to the mat. Lots of struggles, and Ki finally took over. No real limb work, but just a fight to stay in control. Homicide kept getting pissed and skirting away to regroup. Ki finally got annoyed and charged in with chops, until Cide raked him in the eyes! Low Ki was PISSED and Homicide looked like he sort of regretted it, but Ki ran at him! Homicide ducked and kicked Low Ki to the outside, and then followed up with a Baseball Slide that sent Low Ki flying backwards into the barricade!

--Commercial Break--

Homicide was laying into Low Ki now, and from there it just became a big fight. Not much limbwork, just a big slugfest between them. Eventually Low Ki missed a second-rope snap Senton, so Cide went to work on the midsection. Low Ki had to protect it some, leaving him open to big punches and elbows from Homicide. For the first time in the match, Homicide had a real advantage in strike-trading, and he finally moved on to some throws. After a couple side belly-to-bellys, he tried a DDT, but Low Ki shoved him off and hit a big roundhouse! He made some comebacks, violence from both, etc. Low Ki took back his control in the match after raging with some kicks, and from there it was Homicide struggling to keep up. Cide started getting cheap in his eye gouging, back raking, and closed fists. It all only made Low Ki more angry, and he unloaded with the Koppo Kick, Springboard Roundhouse, and Ki Krusher. He could have gotten the pin, but he was still raging, so he put in the Dragon Clutch, and Homicide tapped!
Winner via submission: Low Ki (13:30)

Low Ki got up and celebrated. He helped Homicide up, but he shoved him off and went to the back! Ki looked pissed, but turned to Styles and motion for the belt. Styles came in to hold the belt up in Ki’s face, but Booker T came out! He said that they had tried AJ Styles vs Low Ki once, and it ended in time limit draw, and he would not let that happen again. And so, at No Surrender, it would be AJ Styles vs Low Ki for the TNA World Championship IN A 60-MINUTE IRON MAN MATCH!!!!!

Jimmy Jacobs came out to a big reaction in his hometown, and joined Taz and Raven at the booth.

Alex Shelley came down to start the live show, and Jacobs called him a horrible person from the booth. Anyway, he said that he admits that he took out Samoa Joe two weeks ago, and he doesn’t regret it. He said that Joe is considered a top dog here, and he’s constantly looked down on him as X-Champ, and he did it to teach him a lesson. He let loose on Daniels some too, and said the reason he was off track was because he was going for the wrong belt all along. He said that he had talked to GM Nash, and given the circumstances, the X-Division Championship match for No Surrender would be ALEX SHELLEY VS SAMOA JOE VS CHRISTOPHER DANIELS! Hmmm, doesn’t that Triple Threat look almost familiar.

Anyway, Daniels came out and they traded words, and Daniels said he’d be glad to take the X-Title from Shelley again like the last time around. Samoa Joe come out and called Shelley a little bitch, but Daniels told him to butt out, and reminded him of beating him at Lockdown. They started brawling, but Nash came out to stop it. He booked a main event, Shelley/Daniels vs Joe and a partner of his choice. Joe said he didn’t need much time to think, and he shouted at Jacobs at ringside if he wanted to tag with him, and Jacobs agreed! SHELLEY/DANIELS VS JOE/JACOBS TONIGHT!

Taz and Raven reacted. Jacobs Sabin said he’d have to excuse himself to get ready for tonight.

--Commercial Break--

Chris Sabin came back down to join the commentary booth this time to replace Jacobs.

Match 1: Second Best Friends vs Elix Skipper/Richie Steamboat/Ken Doane
King, Perkins, and Lost showed good cohesion in slowing down the babyface offense. Steamboat got time to shine against all three, and then Doane was isolated. Skipper made a hot tag, but then fell victim to the Puma Buster to lose.
Winners via pinfall: Second Best Friends (5:14)

SBF celebrated in the ring, and Kevin Nash left the booth to join them in the ring. He put the team over, but said that there were a lot of great three-man teams in TNA. And so, as his first big act as Xplosion GM, he is putting together a Trios Grand Prix! Eight trios, one night, three hours! September 3!

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, TJ, Scott, and Kenny said they were definitely winning that tournament.

Taz announced that Dave Taylor vs Finlay vs Hero vs Chuck Taylor for the TV Title had been booked for Impact.

Match 2: The Young Bucks vs Chris Hero/Fit Finlay
At first the Young Bucks just did randomly flippity shit, not really even connecting on anything. Max Buck did a Moonsault to nobody and landed on his feet, then bowed. Then he turned around INTO A RUNNING BOOT FROM FINLAY! Finlay beat the shit out of him, and Hero joined in. It turned into a one-upping thing between them, with both guys laying in with stiff strikes. The Bucks made a brief comeback taking advantage of their friction, and Jeremy got Finlay in a Springboard Headlock! Hero made a blind tag, then ripped off the Buck and hit the ROLLING ELBOW! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Chris Hero/Fit Finlay (3:32)

Hero celebrated in the ring, and Finlay came in and smacked him on the back. Hero did the same, and both guys smirked at each other, then Finlay rolled out to go to the back.

--Commercial Break--

Don West went up to Amazing Red and said his tag match with his boys Morgan and Hoyt later was a tryout. Red said he didn’t want a tryout, but DW told him to do his best.

Fit Finlay and Chris Hero talked about their win backstage, and they both said the other was impressive. They agreed that it was every man for himself on Impact, and that one of them would walk out TV Champion.

--Commercial Break--

Roode went to Jarrett backstage and asked if he thought Sting would show up at No Surrender. Jarrett said that Sting always shows up to a real challenge, and he warned Roode not to get into something that he wasn’t ready for.

Match 3: Volador/Los Infernales vs Matt Morgan/Lance Hoyt/Amazing Red w/ Don West
Commentary brought up the history here, which was to explain why the luchas went right to the giants with some duck-and-doge brawling instead of lucha. Morgan raged and threw them all off, and Averno was isolated by he and Hoyt. Red finally tagged in but refused to stomp him in the corner. Despite screaming from West, Red let Volador tag in and they had a stupid LUCHA~ exchange. They flew around a bunch, and Red continued this with all three guys. Morgan finally got mad a rushed the ring, and soon all six guys were fighting. In the chaos, Red got distracted trying to stop Hoyt from choking Mephisto with his boot, that he turned around into the DRAGONRANA FROM VOLADOR! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Volador/Los Infernales (6:14)

The luchas celebrated in the ring, and Kevin Nash came out to inform them that they had earned themselves a spot in the Trios Grand Prix in 3 weeks.

--Commercial Break--

Amazing Red was in the back, and DW came up and yelled at him. Red told him to lay off, and West said he’d pay for this.

The Enlightened were in the back, and Chris Daniels said that Shelley approached him about a title match, but said nothing about Samoa Joe being involved. Daniels said that he doesn’t think Shelley knows what he got himself into, and that this is a big test for him, to see if he can ever rise back to his throne.

Backstage, Christian said that he took out Monty Brown last week because it was too easy, and it was time to put that oaf down for good. He said that Danielson has been a little prick for a while too, and tonight he’s going to embarrass him in homage to how Danielson once embarrassed him… AS CONQUISTADOR DOS!

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Chris Harris w/ Jeff Jarrett vs Shark Boy
Showcase for Harris. KNOCK KNOCK WHO’S THERE. Shark Boy ducked under a Lariat and tried to come back with punches, but Harris shoved off the Stunner and hit the Catatonic to win.
Winner via pinfall: Chris Harris (2:03)

Harris and Jarrett celebrated to the back. Commentary said that they had heard rumors that James Storm was planning to call out Chris Harris on Impact.

Backstage, Bryan Danielson said that Christian has thought way too highly of himself ever since he brought him into TNA, but that arrogance turned to something else when he tried to break Monty Brown’s leg. He said that he was going to kick the shit out of Christian, because that’s how HE rolls.

--Commercial Break--

Match 5: Conquistador Dos vs Bryan Danielson
After trying to duck away, Danielson finally got Dos and completely bitched him out on the mat. Really almost a showcase for Danielson to show how aggressive he could be on the mat, UNTIL CHRISTIAN CAGE RAN OUT AND ATTACKED DANIELSON WAIT WHAT.
Winner via disqualification: Bryan Danielson (0:51)

Christian kept stomping at Danielson, and then Dos pulled off his mask to reveal himself to be Tyson Dux! They stomped at Danielson, and then Christian laid him out with the Unprettier!

Samoa Joe and Chris Sabin were in the back WALKING~.

--Commercial Break--

Prince Devitt, Kiyoshi, and Okato were in the back, and Devitt said that he and Kiyoshi would see Koslov and Tanaka in the ring next week!

Robert Roode came out and talked about how Sting ruined his perfect momentum at Slammiversary, and he’d pay for it. He said that if Sting had any courage at all, he’ll show up at No Surrender.

--Commercial Break--

Match 6: Alex Shelley/Christopher Daniels vs Samoa Joe/Jimmy Jacobs
Jacobs and Daniels started, and the super loud crowd for Jacobs only pissed Daniels off. After failing to control the younger guy on the mat, Daniels started taking cheap shots. Jacobs came back with a flurry of strikes, and he topped it off with a Snap Suplex! THEN TAGGED IN JOE! Daniels scurried away, but Shelley gladly made the tag. SAMOA JOE AND ALEX SHELLEY! Shelley didn’t back down for a second, daring Joe to come in for a lock-up. Despite Joe chucking him away over and over, Shelley kept insisting on locking up, and finally he ducked down to try to take out Joe’s legs. Joe just laughed, and PULLED SHELLEY UP FOR A POWERBOMB! ONE … TWO … TH - Shelley kicked out! Joe tried to transition right into the Boston Crab, but Shelley kicked him in the eye to get him off, and then rolled to the outside. He mouthed off to Joe, and completely missed JIMMY JACOBS COMING ACROSS TO TAKE HIM OUT WITH A TOPE SUICIDA!!!!!

--Commercial Break--

Jacobs was knocking Daniels around the ring, but Shelley made a blind tag and took out the Grand Rapids native with a Back Suplex! He worked to slow Jacobs down some, but Jacobs showed TONS of fire against the X-Division Champion, and Sabin brought up their deep history. Jacobs did finally fall victim to the double-teaming, and the heels eventually meshed together. Shelley still had an aura of being in charge of his team, and Daniels kept rolling his eyes, but going with it just to keep Jacobs isolated. Jacobs managed to block a Shelley Exploder Suplex, and fought back with wild forearms! Shelley kneed him in the jaw and went for a Fisherman’s Suplex, but Jacobs swung through and came off the ropes with a Leg Lariat! He crawled to his corner, but was pretty beat. Daniels tagged in first and grabbed Jacobs’ leg, but HE COUNTERED WITH AN ENZUIGIRI! HOT TAG TO JOE! Snap Powerslam to Daniels! Samoan Drop to Shelley! Running Headbutt to Daniels! He picked Shelley up for the Muscle Buster, but Shelley floated over! He tried a Superkick, but Joe caught his leg AND JACOBS CAME OUT OF NOWHERE WITH A SPEAR TO SHELLEY! Daniels stumbled up, right into the MUSCLE BUSTER! Jacobs climbed up top! FLYING BACK SENTON!
Winners via pinfall: Samoa Joe/Jimmy Jacobs (11:46)

Samoa Joe celebrated in the ring, and Jacobs rolled in to join him. Daniels got up and attacked, and Ravarian ran down to help! Rhino ran down to help Shelley, and Sabin rushed the ring to help Joe and Jacobs. After a big brawl, Joe cleared Shelley from the ring and stood tall with the New Guns. Shelley looked pissed, maybe even concerned, as he backed up the ramp.

Some stuff tonight: a TV Title Fourway and Phenomenal Angels vs Samoa Joe/Low Ki in the main event!

Match 1: Robert Roode vs Raven
Roode didn’t take this very seriously until Raven unloaded with his punches! Roode did a bit of stalling now, but finally locked up. Their struggle turned into a brawl that spilled to the outside. Raven tried his Russian Legsweep to the barricade, but Roode blocked it and hit a suplex on the floor! He rolled Raven in and kicked him around some, but Raven spun out of the Payoff! He tried a Running Bulldog, but Roode threw him off and hit the NORTHERN LARIAT! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Robert Roode (4:46)

Roode got the mic and said he wasn’t scared of Sting, and he better show up at No Surrender.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Richie Steamboat vs TJ Perkins w/ Kenny King & Scott Lost
Steamboat tried to get things moving with some arm drags, but Perkins threw him into the ropes and started throwing cheap punches. Lots of shenanigans from the outside to cut off his comebacks. Steamboat took out King and Lost with a Plancha, but then came back inside to a PUMA BUSTER! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: TJ Perkins (4:20)

The Second Best Friends celebrated in the ring.

--Commercial Break--

James Storm was with Lauren, and he told her to tell Chris Harris that he better get his ass out to the Impact Zone when he calls him out later tonight.

Bailout cut a promo about how they’re cream of the crop, and some dirty potheads wouldn’t ruin their reign.

Styles and Daniels were backstage trying to figure out something for tonight, but they couldn’t get along. Daniels was at his throat, and Styles would have nothing about it, so they stormed off in different directions.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: Dave Taylor[c] vs Fit Finlay vs Chris Hero vs Chuck Taylor [TNA Television Championship]
Lots of Finlay/Dave murder, with Hero trying to get in on it. Chuckie did his best to be a real wrestler, but I mean, look who he’s against. He did pull out some trapping headbutts to Dave Taylor that Taz said reminded him of road agent Al Snow. But then Dave got pissed and smacked Dave into the mat, and kept slapping him for fun. Finlay came out of nowhere with a boot to the skull, but then Hero dumped Finlay to the floor! He tried the Hero’s Welcome on Dave, but he elbowed away and lowbridged Hero out. Dave tried the British Suplex on Chuck, but Chuck body dropped him to the outside! Chuck got excited and hit a SLOPPY AS HELL PLANCHA TO ALL THREE GUYS!

--Commercial Break--

Multi-man spots happened. Hero vs Dave, Hero vs Chuck, and Dave vs Finlay happened a lot. Hero vs Finlay was teased, but they mostly got along. Dave and Hero had a big forearm battle, which Hero ultimately won with a big running elbow. He strapped in the Hangman’s Clutch, but Finlay broke it up with a running knee! He pulled up Dave and hit his short-arm clothesline! ONE … TWO … THR - Hero broke it up! He pulled Dave up and hit a big DDT! Finlay pulled him up and hit a Swinging DDT! Hero and Dave went back-and-forth killing Dave Taylor, trying to one-up the other. Hero and Finlay both ran off the ropes and charged at Dave, but he rolled out of the way, AND THEY COLLIDED WITH TWO CROSSBODIES! Dave Taylor staggered to his feet, AND CHUCK TAYOR WAS UP TOP! SLOPPY AS HELL MOONSAULT! ONE … TWO … THREE!!!!
Winner via pinfall and NEW TNA TELEVISION CHAMPION: CHUCK TAYLOR (11:39)

HE DID IT BAH GAWD! Chuck Taylor was handed the TV Title and celebrated like CRAAAAAAAZY! Much happiness was had by Chuck. Finlay and Hero argued on the outside, and Taylor got up and looked pissed off at the world.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Chuck Taylor celebrated with his TV Title. He said that when he joined this company two years ago just as a janitor, he did it with the measly dream of even stepping into a wrestling ring. When he finally got that, he just wanted a match. When he got that, he only wanted a win. And after many, MANY losses, he FINALLY got that big win. And once that happened, it was only a matter of time until he reached his big accomplishment. And here it is, tonight, Charles Preston Taylor, Television Champion!

Apparently this was scheduled to be NAMG vs 2CN so that they could finally get a clean finish, but due to Ravarian recently getting involved with both teams, they were added to the match.

Match 4: New Age Machineguns vs 2 Crazy Negroes vs Ravarian
Two guys allowed in at a time. Every team gelled just fine, so it came down to which could work fast enough to isolate a guy. The New Guys finally got it by bumping around Kaz, but when Creed forced his way in, they argued. Kaz snuck up with a Reverse STO! ONE … TWO … THRE - Creed kicked out! Ravarian worked over Creed now, and when the Negro started to fight back, even Sabin got in to keep him isolated. NAMG went for the Veg-O-Matic, but Ravarian rushed the ring to break that up. Total chaos ensued, with some tags in there, but the ref lost track of the match. In the end, both of Ravarian were down, and both Lethal and Sabin went up top. Sabin came off with the Flying Leg Drop to Kaz and Lethal came off with the Lethal Elbow to Rave, and the ref counted both guys down, because he’s stupid.
Co-winners via pinfall: New Age Machineguns & 2 Crazy Negroes (6:56)

Lethal and Sabin both got up and celebrated, both thinking they had won. When they figured out what happened, neither team was too pleased.

--Commercial Break--

Samoa Joe and Low Ki arrived together in the back.

Match 5: Elijah Burke w/ Davey Richards vs Paul London w/ Brian Kendrick
Basic mat stuff at the beginning, but Burke started to throw his jabs. London took him back down to the mat and started to work his arm now. Burke countered with some neck work, but he couldn’t get London off. Davey tried a distraction, but Kendrick pulled him down! Burke got flustered and turned into a Northern Lights Suplex! ONE … TWO … THRE - Burke shot up the good arm! London went for a simple armbar, but Burke shoved him into the corner, and ducked a charging clothesline. London turned around, and Burke floored him with the Pimp Slap! He wore at London with some basic stuff, but when he tried the Elijah Express, London moved! He bounced back holding his legs, and London kicked him knee! He bent down to hold the knee, and London hit a big Heel Kick to the arm! ONE … TWO … THRE - Burke kicked out! London climbed up top for the SSP, but Burke met him there! After a brief struggle, Burke connected with a SUPERPLEX! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Elijah Burke (6:17)

Bailout tried to hit the Hooliganz with their belts, but they ducked and went for the twin Superkicks, but the champs finally scouted these and ducked, THEN NAILED LONDRICK WITH THE BELTS!

--Commercial Break--

KURT ANGLE, RETURNING SOON!

Backstage, London was upset and said that he wasn’t sure if he could pull through on Victory Road after his downward spiral. Kendrick told him to snap out of it, because them winning the tag titles is within their reach now.

James Storm came down to the Impact Zone, and he cut a promo about how he couldn’t believe Chris Harris turned on him. Harris came out by himself and said he wanted to talk man-to-man with him. Harris said that Storm turned on him in 2006, so how the hell is he the bad guy? Storm said that he brought Harris back in 2009 and he thought they put it all behind them. Harris said they had, until Storm started to think he was the ****, and had no problem going off on his own singles career while he was out with an injury, and he should have sat out and waited for him to get better. Storm said that’s ridiculous, and it’s not his fault Harris is so injury prone; in fact, it just seems like he has some damn bad luck, so sorreh to ya. Harris started to laugh, BUT THEN BASHED STORM WITH THE MICROPHONE! He started beating at him, but Storm came back! He punched him around, but Jarrett and the Tennessee Titans ran out! They all worked to beat Storm down, and then Harris rolled out of the ring. He looked under the ring, AND THERE WAS A BEER BOTTLE! He brought it back into the ring and had the Titans hold Storm in place, and he NAILED STORM IN THE FACE WITH IT! A bloody Storm collapsed to the mat, and the heels celebrated over his body.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary talked about what just happened, and hyped up James Storm vs Chris Harris at No Surrender.

ALEX SHELLY~ (with Angelina Love) came out to do commentary. He obviously shat on Daniels and Joe, but he also trashed AJ a bunch too.

Match 6: Phenomenal Angels vs Samoa Joe/Low Ki
AJ vs Joe started this, because I enjoy running that match. Commentary brought up how AJ has pinned Joe before in tag matches, but never in a singles match. Anyway, Daniels made a blind tag and tried to chop Joe down, but lol. Joe killed him with stiff strikes, and then Low Ki got in to rape his corpse. They threw Daniels around a bunch, and AJ looked annoyed on the apron, but not too concerned for Daniels’ well being. Daniels tried to escape, but Low Ki pulled him in and elbowed the **** out of him. Daniels poked him in the eye, so Low Ki hit a stuff roundhouse that dumped him to the floor, and then followed up with a Corkscrew Plancha. Samoa Joe got in and looked at Styles as if he was supposed to be the next chain in a dive chain, but Styles just laughed, said “screw that guy,†and told Joe to go on ahead. Joe came off the ropes and leveled Daniels with an ELBOW SUICIDA!!!

--Commercial Break--

Styles and Daniels still had huge problems meshing, but when Low Ki missed a Springboard Wheel Kick, they saw their opening. Daniels caught him with his Running STO, and then Styles finally got in for a good stretch. He was really aggressive with Ki, mostly trying to shut him down with holds rather than impact moves. The former Angels worked over Ki’s leg (at AJ’s direction), and Styles even whipped out the Figure Four Leglock! Low Ki made it to the ropes, but Daniels quickly tagged in and went for the Last Rites. Low Ki elbowed away and tried a clothesline, but Daniels ducked! He went for the Angel’s Wings, but Low Ki body dropped away! HOT TAG TO SAMOA JOE! He came in and completely destroyed Daniels with the Snap Powerslam, Running Headbutt, and Samoan Drop. Styles looked to be about to get in, but decided against it. He instead went to ringside and grabbed his World Championship and returned to the ramp. Daniels staggered to his feet right into a Springboard Roundhouse from Low Ki and then the Muscle Buster from Joe! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Samoa Joe/Low Ki (11:01)

Joe and Ki celebrated in the ring, and Daniels threw a fit. Styles grabbed his belt and stormed to the back as Joe and Low Ki both signaled for the belts they were respectively going for, which are strangely not the ones you would normally expect.

Taz, Raven, and Elix Skipper welcomed us to the show, and hyped up the Shelley/Daniels/Joe contract signing tonight in the main event slot!

Match 1: New Age Machineguns vs 2 Crazy Negroes
Lethal and Sabin did their usual back-and-forth, but it only went a few minutes before Jacobs wanted in! He actually had a bit more success against Lethal by flying around. Lethal tried to ground him with a side suplex, but Jacobs rolled right into an Oklahoma Roll! ONE … TWO … THR - Lethal kicked out. He was spooked and tagged to Creed, who came right at Jacobs with high-flying of his own. They hit a stalemate, so Jacobs faked going to tag out, but then turned and hit Creed with an Enzuigiri! He kicked at him a bunch and went for the Berzerker Drop, but Creed shoved him away! He tried the Somersault Clothesline, but Jacobs ducked and Creed spilled to the outside! Jacobs ran off the ropes and came back, but Lethal intercepted him with a clothesline! Sabin ran in, but Lethal lowbridged him to the floor! Lethal ran off the ropes now, but Jacobs spin kicked him to the outside! The Negroes got up on the floor, AND JACOBS TOOK THEM OUT WITH AN OVER THE TOP TOPE CON HILO!!!

--Commercial Break--

Lots of quick back-and-forth, with not a ton of risk. Neither team wanted to make a mistake, but Creed did it when Sabin dodged his Springboard Clothesline. Creed was isolated for a bit, but he countered Sabin’s Tornado DDT into a Belly to Belly! HOT TAG TO LETHAL! Cleaned house and whatnot, big run of nearfalls, but nobody could finish it. Then Jacobs got isolated. Repeat the process. Jacobs rolled away from the Lethal Elbow and tagged to Sabin. Another stretch to end it, but Sabin couldn’t land one of his finishers. He tried a Superkick on Lethal, but he ducked and hit the LETHAL COMBINATION! ONE … TWO … THRE - Jacobs broke it up! Creed ran in and took him right down with the Somersault Clothesline. He pulled Jacobs up for the Fireman’s Carry Cutter, but Jacobs countered into a Falling DDT! He pulled Lethal up, but Lethal hit a Dragon Suplex! He stood up, AND TURNED INTO A SABIN SUPERKICK! ONE … TWO … THRE - Lethal got his foot on the bottom rope! Sabin climbed up top, but Lethal met him! They struggled for a while, but finally Lethal pulled Sabin off the top! They both fought to their feet, but DING DING DING!
No contest due to time limit (15:00)

Both teams were upset, but shook hands.

--Commercial Break--

A vignette played of Robert Roode talking to Lex Luger to ask for advice. Luger’s only advice was to not call out Sting.

Match 2: Amazing Red vs Lance Hoyt w/ Don West & Matt Morgan
Big man versus little man, AND HOLY **** I JUST REALIZED I’M BOOKING 2004 IMPACT. Red won when he ducked a big boot and grabbed a Victory Roll.
Winner via pinfall: Amazing Red (4:21)

Red celebrated in the ring, but he turned to be leveled by the Carbon Footprint! Hoyt, Morgan, and West celebrated over him.

--Commercial Break--

Kevin Nash announced that Second Best Friends, Collyer/Danielson/Strong, and Team Canada had been added to the Trios Grand Prix in 2 weeks.

Backstage, Christopher Daniels said that he proved he’s better than Joe at Lockdown, and he’ll do it again tonight, then go on to prove he’s always been better than Shelley at No Surrender.

Danielson, Collyer, and Strong were in the back excited about being in the Trios Grand Prix. Collyer did say that he intended to get back his TV Title soon though, but then Danielson said he had to go get ready for his match tonight.

--Commercial Break--

A big AJ Styles video played going over his strengths and big moments, with a bunch of the talking done of AJ training by with some lifting and running.

Magnus and Schulz came down for the heels, and Okato came down for the faces, but the ref sent them back before the match started!

Match 3: Viktor Koslov/Masato Tanaka vs Prince Devitt/Kiyoshi
Lots of Devitt bumping Koslov around, but then Kiyoshi got in. And well, yeah. He can’t really fly around well so he tried to do strikes, but against Masato Tanaka? Go home. Tanaka destroyed him with chops and slaps, and Koslov was eager to get in to pick at the scraps. He tried the Russian Elbow just to be a dick, BUT KIYOSHI MOVED! He got the hot tag to Devitt, who completely cleaned house with all his high-flying. Koslov tried to sneak it with the Red Scare, but Devitt floated over and hit the Amazing Dropkick! ONE … TWO … THR - Koslov kicked out! Devitt tried the Bloody Sunday, but Koslov elbowed out. He reached down to put in the Moscow Cloverleaf, but Devitt rolled away and connected with his Overhead Kick! ONE … TWO … THRE - Koslov got an arm up! Devitt climbed up top, but Tanaka shoved him down! Kiyoshi ran in, but Tanaka KILLED him with a Flying Elbow! Devitt staggered to his feet and Koslov tried the Red Scare, but Devitt kneed out! BLOODY SUNDAY! He pulled himself up and went up top again, but Tanaka met him again! They traded elbows, and Tanaka landed one to the eye! He yanked Devitt off the top and set himself up… TO DEBUT THE DIAMOND DUST~!~!~! Devitt sold it like a death move and was completely knocked out, but Koslov just grinned. He yanked an unconscious Devitt up so that his head lifted off the ground, AND TANAKA NAILED HIM WITH THE SLIDING D! Devitt was still totally out of it, but Koslov pulled him up for the RED SCARE! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Viktor Koslov/Masato Tanaka (6:59)

Tanaka and Koslov kept beating at Devitt, and Tanaka nailed him with another Sliding D! The Asian Tigers ran in to clear the ring, an officials had to help carry a loopy Devitt to the back.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary reacted to what just happened.

A vignette played of Robert Roode talking to Buff Bagwell, and Bagwell telling him to be careful calling out Sting to come out of retirement.

KURT ANGLE, RETURNING SOON!

--Commercial Break--

A big Low Ki video played going over his big momentum and his backlash against AJ Styles being a dick, with his big journey coming to a fruition here, all laid over footage of him running bleachers and doing pull-ups and stuff.

Match 4: Chuck Taylor[c] vs Dave Taylor vs Doug Williams [TNA Television Championship]
Obviously started out as a handicap match, but that didn’t last all the way through. Dave Taylor thought he was entitled to win his belt back, but Doug Williams insisted that he’d always been team captain. Their in-fighting let Chuckie sneak in and hit Dave with the SPIN CYCLE! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall and still TNA Television Champion: Chuck Taylor (5:03)

Chuckie celebrated in the ring! Chris Hero and Fit Finlay were watching from the back.

Backstage, Bryan Danielson said that he was going to embarrass Christian tonight just like he has before, as the American Dragon!

--Commercial Break--

Christian came down and said that Danielson’s little charade wasn’t going to fool him tonight. American Dragon came down, and Christian just laughed. He stood there demanding Danielson really come out, but the match started anyway.

Match 5: Christian Cage vs The American Dragon
Christian kept waiting, but finally turned and shoved Dragon! He mocked him some asking where Danielson was, AND THEN AMERICAN DRAGON TOOK HIM DOWN INTO THE LEBELL LOCK! Christian grabbed the ropes and rolled out and looked freaked out, but just took the count out loss.
Winner via count out: The American Dragon (0:31)

American Dragon took off his mask, revealing him to be Bryan Danielson! Christian threw a tantrum as Danielson laughed at him in the ring.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary announced that Christian Cage vs Bryan Danielson had been signed for No Surrender, and neither guy could wear a mask, just to avoid confusion.

Kevin Nash was in the ring where a table was set up, with a contract there. He hyped up this huge X-Division match, and then brought down Alex Shelley.

Shelley came down alone, very confidently. He said that this match has caught a lot of people’s attention, because it looks somewhat familiar, and that’s a good thing. He said that he was the puppet master setting the parts in motion for this so as to prove that he is undeniably the greatest wrestler in TNA, and that his precious X-Division Championship is the most prestigious title in the entire industry. He said that this triple threat is the true measure of TNA, and this time, the man that comes out on top is the TRUE top name.

Christopher Daniels came out next and said to ignore the fact that the he ended Shelley’s first reign as X-Division Champion, and to ignore the fact that he agreed to this match before he knew Samoa Joe was involved. He said that the only thing that matters to him is that he has been on a downward spiral ever since losing his TNA Championship, and this is probably his last shot at turning his luck around. They started trading words, but Samoa Joe came out!

Joe said that Alex is like a little kid poking a sleeping pitbull with a stick, and now the pitbull is about to eat his face off. He said that Shelley has NO idea what he’s gotten himself into, and Daniels can back that up. Shelley interrupted him and said that Joe is the one underestimating him, and Joe went off about how many guys he has knocked unconscious, how many skulls he’s kicked in, how many throats he’s made bleed, how many teeth he’s knocked out, and how many victims he’s choked out. Shelley was a little taken aback, but turned and signed the contract, and told them both to bring their best. Daniels signed next, saying it was his only chance. Joe signed next, and while his back was turned, SHELLEY ATTACKED! Daniels looked unsure, but he started attacking Joe too! They clubbed at him, but he turned AND JUST SHOVED THEM BOTH OFF! He started killing them with elbows, kicks, and headbutts! Joe hit Daniels with the Muscle Buster! He tried to grab Shelley, but he escaped and rolled to the outside. He actually looked scared as Joe was still fuming in the ring, and commentary said that maybe, just maybe, Alex Shelley has bitten off more than he can chew.

Commentary ran down tonight’s main matches: Christian vs Homicide, two “strange bedfellows†tag matches and Planet Jarrett 3.0 vs Storm/Danielson/Collyer/Strong.

Christian came out first, but Homicide never followed. Booker T came out and said that Cide no-showed tonight, so he had a replacement to face Christian… SAMOA JOE!

Match 1: Christian Cage vs Samoa Joe
A ton or Christian stalling, but given their history, Joe knew how it all worked. He didn’t even bother chasing Christian around, but instead just made him look like an idiot by standing there and watching Cage dodge around nothing. He finally went in for a lock-up, and Joe flattened him with a body slam! He bumped him around a bunch with throws, and then started smacking the **** out of him. Christian tried to bail again, but Joe pulled him back for a German Suplex. Only Christian grabbed onto the ropes and pulled Joe down into the middle rope! Christian did his thing where he stood on Joe’s shoulders and choked him into the ropes, and then rolled out of the ring and slapped Joe in the face! Joe staggered back and Christian tried to come in with a Flying Crossbody, but Joe caught him! Fallaway Slam! He tried to put in the Coquina Clutch, but Christian slipped out and grabbed a Victory Roll! ONE … TWO … THRE - Joe got out! Christian tried the Unprettier, but Joe lifted Christian right out of the air AND CHUCKED HIM TO THE OUTSIDE!

--Commercial Break--

Coming back, Joe had Christian in the corner and was roughing him up. He went for the Facewash, but Christian moved, and Joe’s leg caught in the bottom rope! Christian went to work on it, using the rope for leverage many times. He couldn’t really get any real submissions in on Joe’s huge legs, but he did hit at it enough to slow Joe down. He tried to mount an offense, but Joe continued to be a monster. After he missed the Tornado DDT, Joe just ran threw him with elbows and big right hands. He got him up for a Powerbomb, but Christian scurried to the ropes and got down to the apron. Joe went to charge, but Cage hopped down and bailed to the back.
Winner via count out: Samoa Joe (12:45)

Samoa Joe looked annoy as Christian returned to the back, and commentary pointed out that this was Christian's third match in a row taking a count out loss. Anyway, ALEX SHELLEY snuck down through the crowd and tried to bash Joe with the title belt, but he ducked and NAILED Shelley with a lariat! He pulled him up for the Muscle Buster, but Shelley got out and escaped, again looking terrified.

--Commercial Break--

James Storm was in the back with Lauren, and he said that at No Surrender, Harris’ damn luck runs out.

Clips of a sit-down interview with AJ Styles played, where he talked about the process of becoming The Man here in TNA, and how Low Ki wasn’t going to stop that. He said that he’s wrestled 60-minutes before, no problem. His stamina and cardio are top-notch. He said that Low Ki has great strikes and flurries of hard-hitting offense, but it can’t last for 60 minutes.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary hyped the Bailout/Hooliganz match for No Surrender, but also talked about the problems that the New Guns and Crazy Negroes have had as of late.

Match 2: Paul London/Consequences Creed vs Davey Richards/Jimmy Jacobs
Davey and Jacobs didn’t get together at all. London and Creed did at first, but then London starting messing up a bunch and Creed insisted on getting in. Since he basically refused to tag out, it led to a brief control segment on him. Richards stopped cheating at Jimmy’s insistence, but he did beat the **** out of Creed. Jacobs knocked him around with his high-flying. Richards tried to end it with a Yakuza Kick, but Creed ducked! HOT TAG! London cleaned house with his wild strikes and high-flying, but when he went up top, Elijah Burke came down! London got distracted, and Davey hit him with a SUPERPLEX! ONE … TWO … THRE - Creed broke it up! Jacobs came in and leveled him with a SPEAR, but then turned into a SUPERKICK! Davey tried the Bankrupt Driver, but London countered into a sunset flip! ONE … TWO … THR - Davey got out! London tried a Standing SSP, but Davey got the knees up! Davey distracted the ref as London doubled over, and BURKE HIT HIM WITH THE PIMP CANE! Davey covered! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Davey Richards/Jimmy Jacobs (7:20)

Davey celebrated in the ring, and then to the back with Elijah.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: Chris Sabin/Brian Kendrick vs Jay Lethal/Elijah Burke
Even more Sabin vs Lethal to start the tag, which at this point has almost become a weekly staple. Kendrick was super aggressive on Burke after what he did before the break. Really just chaos before the break, TOTAL NON-STOP ACTION~! Burke and Lethal argued some, which led to a DOUBLE SUPERKICK SPOT~! They spilled to the outside, and Sabin and Kendrick took them out with STEREO PLANCHAS!

--Commercial Break--

Sabin and Kendrick eventually formed a formidable team, almost as if they were originally supposed to be a full-time tag team to make room for a London singles push and Jimmy Jacobs being jobbed out and maybe released. So they just felt right together. Some more back-and-forth, and eventually Kendrick and Burke fought on the floor. They struggled for the control of the Pimp Cane, but Kendrick kicked it away and tackled Burke to the floor! While fighting, Lethal had Sabin down in the ring and he tried the LETHAL ELBOW, but SABIN MOVED! Superki - NO! Lethal caught his leg! LETHAL COMBINATION! He climbed up top and hit the LETHAL ELBOW! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Jay Lethal/Elijah Burke (12:56)

Lethal celebrated in the ring, and while Burke and Kendrick fought on the outside.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, London pointed out to Kendrick that neither of them got a win tonight, and that he really isn’t confident going into No Surrender. Kendrick told him to shut up with that garbage, and that he’s not going to treat him like a kid and tell him everything’s going to be okay. He said that everything would be fine if they pull it together and act like a team that deserves the championship, but if they can’t do that, then everything WON’T be okay.

TV Champion Chuck Taylor came out to do commentary.

Match 4: Kenny King vs Chris Hero vs Fit Finlay vs Doug Williams [TV Title shot on the line]
Hero and Finlay worked together some, which sort of forced King and Williams to act as a team. Solid spots all the way through, including King hitting Finlay with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb from the apron to the floor! King slid in, and Hero leveled him with the ROLLING ELBOW! ONE … TWO … THR - Williams broke it up! He tried the Chaos Theory, but Hero elbowed away and hit a Cravate Suplex that sent Williams to the outside. King staggered to his feet, and Hero flattened him with the CYCLONE KILL! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Chris Hero (6:09)

Hero celebrated in the ring and motioned for Chuck's TV Title.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Robert Roode said that if Sting is any sort of man at all, and if he still wants to claim to be the “Conscience of TNA,†then he’ll show up at No Surrender.

A Low Ki package played highlighting some of his big strikes, with a bunch of guys (Homicide, Samoa Joe, Mike Tenay, Elix Skipper, Taz) talking about his hard-hitting style, and how he can definitely go for an hour. Homicide pointed out that it was Taz who was exhausted in the 45-minutes draw from AAO, and Joe said that it only takes one strike to keep AJ rocked for the rest of the match.

Backstage, Christian Cage told Eric Young to wear Danielson down tonight. Young went to walk off, and Booker T came up and warned Christian not to get involved in the main event.

--Commercial Break--

KURT ANGLE! 9 DAYS! TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW! HE MAKES HIS RETURN AFTER NEARLY 2 MONTHS!

Jeff Jarrett came down to do commentary. He talked up bringing in Gunner and Storm as the Tennessee Titans to protect his interests.

Match 5: Planet Jarrett 3.0 [Harris/Young/Tennessee Titans] vs James Storm/Bryan Danielson/Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong
Harris refused to get in with Storm, so this started with a bunch of Storm bumping around Young. The Titans cheated some to slow him down, but the super trio came in to shut them off. Harris took a cheap shot at Storm, prompting him to tackle Harris off the apron and come off with a STORM PLANCHA~! They brawled around the floor, and when the rest of PJ3 went to the floor to help, the other three faces saw their chance. Danielson, Collyer, and Strong lined up in the ring and came back with a TRIPLE TOPE SUICIDA!!!!!!

--Commercial Break--

Danielson was raging on Harris, but Gunner made a blind tag and leveled him with a big boot. The Titans wore him out some, and so Young got in! He stretched Danielson out on the mat, but lol. Danielson quickly came back by bitching him out in holds and stuff. Collyer and Strong did too, but Young reversed Strong’s Butterfly Suplex into a Northern Lights Suplex! ONE … TWO … THRE - Strong kicked out, but Young dragged him to the heel corner. He was isolated for a bit, but when Harris tried the Half Nelson Slam, Strong countered with a jaw breaker and a JUMPING DDT! He crawled over and made the HOT TAG TO STORM! He came in on fire with big punches to Harris. He really bumped him around, until Harris went to the eyes! He tried a body slam, but Storm wiggled down and hit the LUNGBLOWER! ONE … TWO … THR - Young broke it up! Everybody rushed the ring and there was absolute chaos! Harris tried to sneak a beer bottle in, but Storm ducked it and hit a HUGE right hand! He tackled Harris out, and they brawled wildly on the floor! In the ring, the Titans tried a Double Powerbomb, on Collyer, but Strong broke it up with a Flying Crossbody to both! Young grabbed Strong for the Sharpshooter, but Collyer pulled him off with the EVEREST GERMAN! Danielson climbed up top and came off with the FLYING HEADBUTT! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: James Storm/Bryan Danielson/Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong (11:18)

The babyface trio celebrated in the ring while Storm and Harris had a pull-apart brawl to close the show.

Well, then the Styles and Low Ki training videos played again, mixed in with a hype video for their match.

Taz, Raven, and Sonjay Dutt at commentary tonight. Main event: Samoa Joe/Danielson vs Shelley/Rhino.

Commentary said that Prince Devitt suffered a minor concussion last week, and would be out for a couple weeks.

Match 1: Richie Steamboat/Asian Tigers vs The Axis Powers w/ Masato Tanaka
So the Tigers, again, are Kiyoshi and Okato. They are cousins, because I’m pretty sure all Japanese wrestlers are cousins. Koslov was really cocky asking where Devitt was, all while he had Magnus and Schulz do the dirty work. Steamboat got isolated, and Kiyoshi made a hot tag with Japanese stuff, but Tanaka snuck in a big elbow from the apron, and Koslov ended it with the Red Scare.
Winners via pinfall: The Axis Powers (6:28)

The Powers celebrated in the ring, and Kevin Nash came out and offered them a spot in Trios Grand Prix next week.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Samoa Joe talked about how he made the X-Division, and at No Surrender he’d take it back from Alex Shelley.

Match 1: Roderick Strong vs Scott Lost
Solid back-and-forth, with neither guy having much control. Strong obviously worked the back, and Lost countered by going after the knee. After Lost put in an Indian Deathlock, Strong had trouble using his leg at all, and he had to transition to elbows to the back and slams to get nearfalls. Lost tried the Big Fat Kill, but Strong ducked came up with a one-leg facebuster! Lost snapped against the ropes and came back into the GIBSON DRIVER! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Roderick Strong (6:52)

Strong got up and celebrated, but Lost took him down. TJ and Kenny ran down to help the beatdown, but Danielson and Collyer ran them off.

--Commercial Break--

All partners were at ringside for the following match.

Match 3: Chris Sabin vs Jay Lethal vs Elijah Burke vs Brian Kendrick
Lethal and Sabin tried to do their usual exchange, but Burke and Kendrick decided they were sick of it, so they broke it up. Lots of action. Kendrick went for the Shooting Star Press early, but Burke shoved him off the top and to the floor going into the break.

--Commercial Break--

Yeah, more action. Eventually all of the partners got involved and it just became chaotic. Bailout tried to get the Pimp Cane involved, but Jacobs intercepted it and chucked it up the ramp. Burke got distracted by this, and turned into the LETHAL COMBINATION! ONE … TWO … THR - Sabin broke it up! Lethal tried one on him, but he shoved Lethal off and into a SUPERKICK FROM KENDRICK! ONE … TW - Sabin yanked him off and exploded with forearms. He tried the Cradle Shock, but Kendrick elbowed down and landed on the apron, pulling Sabin there as well. They traded blows, but Burke ran across with a dropkick that sent Kendrick flying to the barricade! Burke tried to suplex Sabin in, but Sabin held his weight and hit Burke back with a roundhouse! Burke stumbled up, and Sabin came in with the SPRINGBOARD TORNADO DDT! ONE … TWO … THRE - Lethal dove to save! He chucked Sabin out and tried a Dragon Suplex on Burke, but Burke blocked and hit a BIG uppercut! He tried the Bankrupt Bomb, but Lethal body dropped away! He climbed up top, but Kendrick hopped up on the apron and shoved Lethal to the floor! He set up for the Shooting Star Press, BUT BURKE MOVED! BANKRUPT BOMB! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Elijah Burke (12:11)

Bailout grabbed their titles and celebrated to the back. Burke could be heard shouting that JBL would be there at No Surrender, and they were gonna make him proud!

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Amazing Red vs Matt Morgan w/ Don West & Lance Hoyt
Big man vs little man, robviously. Morgan really manhandled him, when he got hold of him. But Red managed to avoid a ton his offense with his usual evasiveness. Morgan caught him off a Flying Crossbody and planted him with a Falling Powerslam! From there it was just Red trying to survive, but it finally ended after an easy Hellevator.
Winner via pinfall: Matt Morgan (6:32)

That AJ Styles training video from last Xplosion played.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Alex Shelley cut an extended promo about how Samoa Joe and Christopher are considered premier TNA wrestlers, and at No Surrender he would finalize his position as the biggest name in TNA and the position of his title as the best belt in the business.

NEXT WEEK! KURT ANGLE! TRIOS TOURNAMENT! HE’LL BE THERE! WILL YOU?!

--Commercial Break--

Match 5: Christopher Daniels w/ Daffney vs Rhett Titus
Debut for a now-jobber. Bonham, Robinson, and Edwards didn’t work out. Perkins, Lost, and Strong did. We’ll see. Anyway, Daniels took his time picking Titus apart, but he got lazy in his offense and left some opening. Titus came back with some basic punches and throws, but Danielson finally shut him down with a Blue Thunder Driver. He looked pissed, and finished it with the Angel’s Wings.
Winner via pinfall: Christopher Daniels (3:01)

Daniels celebrated in the ring and then grabbed the mic. He said that he just beat a brand new X-Division signee, which is what he was doing in 2003. It’s now 2011, and it’s way past time for him to have progressed way beyond this. He said he got a taste of heaven, and it’s only made him thirsty for more, and at No Surrender, he retakes his throne.

--Commercial Break--

Robert Roode was backstage, and BIG VAN VADER~ came up. He said he had heard Roode was calling out Sting, and he had to come tell him not to do it. Just, don’t do it.

The Low Ki training video from last Xplosion replayed.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Kevin Nash announced the 8 three-man teams involved in the Trios Grand Prix next week: Team Canada, The Axis Powers, Danielson/Collyer/Strong, Kurt Angle/???/???, Second Best Friends, Sean Waltman/James Gang, and Volador/Los Infernales. And there’s one more spot left, which will be signed within the next week.

Some footage played to showcase the different trios.

--Commercial Break--

Christopher Daniels came down to do commentary.

Match 6: Samoa Joe/Bryan Danielson vs Alex Shelley/Christian Cage w/ Rhino & Angelina Love
Shelley and Danielson started, and Shelley actually held his own on the mat. Christian looked pissed that Shelley was doing fine, so he wanted in, but Danielson quickly schooled him. He totally stretched Christian out with some unique moves, and Joe was hungry for murder. He bounced Cage around some, but Cage managed to string together a combination of eye rakes, choking, and a “mistaken†kick to the groin that slowed him down. Shelley made a blind tag, AND PULLED JOE OUT OF THE RING GOING INTO THE BREAK!

--Commercial Break--

Shelley and Christian were together in the ring keeping Joe down, but as soon as the ref forced them apart, Joe exploded. He beat them both around, and nearly had the win after a Samoan Drop to Christian. Danielson tried to clean up, but he got isolated. Good stuff. Joe made a hot tag, but Shelley and Christian worked well together to break up any pinfalls. It turned into a big back-and-forth, and at times it looked like maybe Shelley could hang with Joe, but then Joe would kill everyone. Christian tried to sneak in with an Unprettier, but Joe threw him off into an EAGLE-PLEX FROM DANIELSON! Joe pulled Shelley up for a Muscle Buster, but he floated over! He tried the Shellshock, but Joe shoved him away! He tried to get him in the Choke, but Shelley elbowed away! He exploded with chops, kicks, and punches to get Joe down, but Joe only went a knee! Shelley came off with a dropkick, and Joe started wobbling! BASEMENT SUPERKICK! ONE … TWO … THRE - JOE KICKED OUT! Shelley climbed up top, but Joe met him there! MUSCLE BUSTER! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Samoa Joe/Bryan Danielson (13:56)

Samoa Joe got up and celebrated big for pinning the X-Division Champion. Daniels left the booth and got Joe’s attention, and Shelley attacked him from behind! Daniels slid in and they both beat him down, but he fought back! Big strikes to both guys, and then he nailed Daniels with the Samoan Drop! Daniels rolled out as Shelley got to his feet! Joe grabbed him for the Coquina Clutch, but Shelley JUST slipped out and escaped! He grabbed his X-Division Championship and looked absolutely terrified on the floor as Joe motioned for it in the ring. Commentary wondered one last time if maybe Alex Shelley had hand-picked a losing battle.

Pre-Show
Second Best Friends def. Shark Boy/Shane Sewell/Colt Cabana
Masato Tanaka def. Richie Steamboat
Samoa Joe def. Amazing Red
Road Warrior Animal/Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong def. Shawn Spears/Ken Doane/Sean Morley

Commentary ran down the card, standard stuff.

Before the match started, Booker T came out and said that the past few weeks Christian has been bailing on matches to avoid getting beat up, so he’s taken it upon himself to prevent the same thing from happening tonight. So, this is officially a Falls Count Anywhere Match!

Match 1: Christian Cage vs Bryan Danielson [Falls Count Anywhere]
Danielson charged right at Christian and took him down to the mat! He totally bitched him out, and Christian didn’t even try to compete after a bit. He undid the turnbuckle, but Danielson pulled him back into an O’Connor Roll! ONE … TWO … THR - Christian got out and instinctively rolled to the outside, but Danielson followed him out and charged with the Shotgun Clothesline! He beat Christian around the floor, but then Cage pulled him by the tights headfirst into the guardrail! Christian slowed it down and tried to methodically wear Danielson out around the floor, but Danielson had tons of fire in his chops and kicks. He tried to lock in the LeBell Lock, but Christian easily wrapped himself around the barricade to block it. Danielson rolled him back in and climbed up top for the MISSILE DROPKICK! ONE … TWO … THR - Christian kicked out! Danielson went back to dominating on the mat, but when he tried to put in the LeBell Lock, Christian countered into an Oklahoma Roll! ONE … TWO … THR - Danielson got out! They both got up, and Christian flattened him with a DDT! Christian control segment, working on the head and neck of Danielson. They strung together some nearfalls for both guys, and Danielson got his big comeback after a big EAGLE-PLEX! ONE … TWO … THRE - Christian kicked out! He rolled out to the apron, but Danielson joined him! They struggled for control there, and finally Danielson hit Christian with a SIDE EFFECT ON THE APRON! Danielson rolled back in the ring and came off the ropes with a TOPE SUICIDA THAT SENT HE AND CHRISTIAN OVER THE BARRICADE AND INTO THE CROWD AREA!!! Wild brawl there with some nearfalls, and a planted Ace Steel gave Danielson his Coke Zero to BASH OVER CRISTIAN! They eventually ended up back in the ring, where Danielson tried the Eagle-Plex again, but Christian floated over! He shoved Danielson forward into the exposed turnbuckle, and then hit a SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR! ONE … TWO … THRE - DANIELSON KICKED OUT! Christian tried the Unprettier, but Danielson shoved him away and tackled him through the first and second rope, with Christian spilling out! Danielson got on the apron and tried his Jumping High Knee, but Christian ducked! He tried another Spear, but Danielson rolled away and got Christian on his shoulders for a nice old AIRPLANE SPIN! Both guys eventually collapsed on the ground, but Danielson pulled himself up. Christian slowly got up, very drowsy, and Danielson charged, LEAPT ONTO THE APRON, AND THEN CAME OFF WITH HIS JUMPING HIGH KNEE TO THE FLOOR! ONE … TWO … THRE - CHRISTIAN KICKED OUT! Danielson quickly tried to strap in the Cattle Mutilation, but Christian kicked away! He poked Danielson in the eye and throw him toward the announce table, but Danielson jumped onto it, and did a backflip off, landing behind Christian! BRIDGING GERMAN SUPLEX ON THE FLOOR! ONE … TWO … THRE - CHRISTIAN GOT AN ARM UP! Danielson couldn’t believe it! He pulled Christian up and tried the Eagle-Plex, but Christian floated over! He tried the Unprettier, but Danielson grabbed the apron, and Christian just fell flat by himself! He sat up, and Danielson NAILED him in the back of the head with a nasty kick! Christian reeled in place, AND DANIELSON LOCKED IN A GUILLOTINE CHOKE! Christian struggled and tried to grab at anything around him, BUT HE HAD TO TAP OUT!
Winner via submission: Bryan Danielson (16:02)

Bryan Danielson got up slowly and celebrated to the back, and Christian got up pissed.

Robert Roode arrived backstage!

Backstage, Kevin Nash hyped the Trios Grand Prix in six days on a special three-hour Xplosion!

Pre-taped promos from Storm and Harris played. James Storm said that Jarrett has made his life a living hell, and Chris Harris betrayed his trust in the biggest way, but tonight he gets revenge. Chris Harris said that he’s just trying to make a name for himself. He said that he’s a victim of James Storms’ selfishness, and tonight he lashes back.

Match 2: James Storm vs Chris Harris w/ Jeff Jarrett
This feud was going to be dragged out, but then Harris returned to TNA irl and he was pretty awful. Anyway, Harris did a lot of stalling just to piss Storm off, and it worked. Storm’s temper got control of him, and he walked into a bunch of basic Harris offense. Storm came back with his punches and really set Harris back on strikes alone. Harris embraced being out of shape and actually did fat man spots! Corner avalanches, belly slapping, AND EVEN A STANDING SPLASH! ONE … TWO … TH - Storm kicked out. Storm threw him to the outside and followed it up with the STORM PLANCHA~, then kicked him around the floor some. Jarrett tried to get involved, so Storm chased him around the ring! Coming around the corner, Storm ran into a Harris clothesline, and Harris rolled him back in. He went for the Half Nelson Slam, but Storm blocked it and hit the LUNGBLOWER! ONE … TWO … THRE - Harris kicked out! Storm tried the Eight Second Ride, but Harris fought down and grabbed a roll-up with tights! ONE … TWO … THRE - Storm got out! Harris tried a Powerbomb, but Storm body dropped away! He followed up with quick clotheslines and called for the Eight Second Ride, but Jarrett hopped onto the apron! Storm hit the move on Harris anyway, but Jarrett had the ref distracted so he couldn’t count. Storm went over to knock Jarrett down, but he dodged it and hopped back to the floor. Storm turned around into the CATATONI - NO! Storm got down! EYE OF THE STORM! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: James Storm (7:25)

James Storm celebrated in the ring. Jarrett couldn’t believe it, and when Harris got up neither could he. Jarrett rolled in and tried to attack, but Storm sent him packing, and Double J backed up the ramp with the Wildcat.

The Hooliganz were backstage, and London said the thing he needed to get him out of his slump was the tag titles, and tonight they get them. Kendrick said for JBL to stay out of it, and to hit the showers early so he could meet Bailout there when they go to back without their belts.

Backstage, Alex Shelley said he was screwed AGAIN, because his match wasn’t in the main event slot. He said that this match was in the main event of BFG last year, and now it can’t headline No Surrender. He chalked it up to Joe and Daniels’ stocks falling, since he’s obviously a bigger star than AJ Styles. He said he put the parts in motion to make this match to prove a point, and tonight he proves it.

Match 3: Bailout[c] w/ JBL vs The Hooliganz [TNA Tag Team Championship]
Total sprint. London seemed shaky at first, but he finally found his groove when working cohesively with Kendrick. JBL never really got involved, but he did shout a ton, and he called Mike Tenay a cocksucker just because. Kendrick got isolated after a Davey Yakuza Kick, and this time Burke didn’t waste his time taunting. Just ton of quick tags between the champs, wearing down Kendrick with kicks from Davey and punches from Burke. Kendrick nearly hit a flash Superkick, but Davey ducked! He hit a big roundhouse and ran off the ropes, BUT KENDRICK HIT A BLUE THUNDER DRIVER! ONE … TWO … THRE - Davey kicked out! Both guys crawled to their corner, and Burke got tagged in, BUT SO DID LONDON! He bumped Burke around with dropkicks and flying clotheslines, and then he had some for Davey as well. Kendrick cleared Davey out with a Dropsault, and followed up with a Plancha! London pulled Burke up for the Waffle Face, but Burke elbowed away! BANKRUPT BOMB! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall and still TNA Tag Team Champions: Bailout (6:51)

Bailout celebrated in the ring. London looked really upset on the mat, so Kendrick helped him up and they went back together.

The Enlightened was backstage, and Chris Daniels said he ended Shelley’s last X-Division reign, and tonight he does it again, and reclaims his TRUE destiny all along--lord of the X-Division.

Samoa Joe was with Lauren, and he said that Shelley has been a prick in everybody’s side for a long ass time, and tonight it gets squashed, Samoan-style.

Big hype package played.

Before the match, Booker T said that Rhino and especially Angelina Love had to stay in the back. And the Enlightened while they were at it.

Match 4: Alex Shelley[c] vs Samoa Joe vs Christopher Daniels [X-Division Championship – Title Defense #20]
At first, Shelley seemed to really want to pin Samoa Joe. Daniels wanted to pin either guy, but eventually looked like he was just trying to survive and find spots. Joe murdered both equally. As it went on, Shelley realized that he really couldn’t seem to beat Joe, so at first he teamed with Daniels. Even then, Joe looked pretty unstoppable, so Shelley started trying to pin Daniels when he could just to walk out as champion. So that was the story. In between there, lots of spots. The end came when Samoa Joe hit Daniels with the Muscle Buster, and pulled him up for the Coquina Clutch, but Shelley hopped up on the apron and pulled Joe backwards, over the top rope, and down to the floor! Daniels flopped down in the ring, and Shelley climbed up top and hit him with the SPIRAL TAP! ONE … TWO ... THREE!
Winner via pinfall and still X-Division Champion: Alex Shelley (15:35)

Shelley got up and celebrated like CRAZY, shouting that he’s the best in the company! The best in the world!

Robert Roode was walking around the back looking vry srs.

Low Ki was doing weird stretches in the back.

AJ Styles was loosening up in the back.

Robert Roode came down to the ring and said that he had one thing on his mind, but before that, he had something to say. He talked about he’s always been under the banner of a Team Canada, a Main Event Mafia, a Planet Jarrett, or a Team Canada again -- but finally now he’s his own man. Yes, he’s a part of Team Canada, but he isn’t “under” anybody in any way. He’s Robert Roode, and it’s time to step up to the plate. He talked some about stepping up to face Kurt Angle (considered one of the best in the world today, and of all-time) and not just beating him once, but every time they got in the ring together. Well, every time but one. And that’s where Sting comes in. Roode has Angle’s number absolutely until Sting stuck his nose in it, proclaiming himself the “conscience of TNA.” Roode called Sting a hypocrite who only wants to be the conscience when there is a big payday in store! He said that Sting coming to help Angle wasn’t just aid to a friend, but it was ammo to an enemy. He said he wanted Sting out here, and he wanted him NOW --

-- THE LIGHTS WENT OFF~!~!

[FLASH=300,300]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LH-4-leZXk[/FLASH]

THE ICON STING~! Sting walked right into the ring, and Roode looked half stunned, half angry, half in awe, (half man, half amazing). He started to speak, but Sting told him to hold his mouth, because he’s been talking too much for six months now. He finally explained himself coming back at Slammiversary, saying that Kurt Angle was trying to fight one-on-one with Roode to redeem himself, but Team Canada had to get involved and stack the decks against him even more. Plus, he missed the wrestling ring. Roode said that if he missed it so much, why not come back? He accused Sting of being too old and too worn down to compete anymore. Sting said he didn’t need to taunt him at all, because he had already made up his mind. He would come back to TNA for another match, and it would be against Robert Roode! AT BOUND FOR GLORY~! Roode looked happy, but Sting told him to wipe that smile off his face, because he was going to get beat by an “old man” on the biggest stage. Roode threw a punch, BUT THE LIGHTS WENT OUT~! When they came back on, Sting was gone! Roode held his arm in the air, BUT THE LIGHTS WENT OUT AGAIN! This time when they came back on, Sting was in the ring again! With a baseball bat! Roode turned around, AND STING NAILED HIM WITH THE BAT! Roode went down and Sting held the bat in the air! The lights went off a final time, and when they came back on, Sting and the bat were gone, and Roode (looking very pissed) was slowly coming to.

Commentary reacted to what just happened, and it cut to backstage to some road agents flipping out. Booker T walked up, smiled, and said, “He’s back!”

Alex Shelley celebrated in the back with Angelina Love and Rhino, and he turned to the camera. He said that this show ended when he retained his belt, so for them to go to sleep now. He said that nobody cares about Sting, nobody cares about Low Ki, and sure as hell nobody cares about AJ Styles. He said that HE’S the King of this company, and King of the World at this point. He said that he’s gunning for highest peak, and he’s damn sure bound for glory.

The Low Ki training video played. Then the AJ Styles one did.

FEUD HYPE PACKAGE~!~!

Match 5: AJ Styles[c] vs Low Ki [TNA World Championship – Iron Man Match]
- Both guys were eager to lockup on the mat, but as soon as the one got any sort of an advantage, the other backed off.
- This led to a lot of stalemates and repositioning.
- Low Ki was the first to throw an elbow, but Styles had it scouted. He managed to dodge most of Ki’s strikes.
- Styles started to go after the arm to neutralize them, but it just let Ki throw him around some
- Styles bailed out a bunch to protect himself.
- Low Ki finally ran after him on the floor, and they fought some. Styles tried for a while to get a count out win, but Ki kept coming back
- It turned into a game of Styles taking a bunch of Ki strikes, but then waiting for him to tire out and controlling him with basic stuff.
- Low Ki came back with more and more violence, but every time it got harder to fight back, playing into Styles’ theory that he couldn’t keep up his strikes for 60 minutes.
- Styles tried to end it with big power moves, but Low Ki countered most of his signature stuff that he had seen before.
- Low Ki got on a big roll, and actually controlled Styles for a bit by using throws and holds instead of strikes.
- Styles came back with forearms and kicks of his own, but that opened up to Low Ki RAGING with strikes.
- He went for the Ki Krusher, but Styles floated over AND CHOP BLOCKED HIM! Styles took a second the breathe, but when he saw Low Ki holding his leg, he pounced.
- Lots of leg work now, with Low Ki having to fight back from that, and having a ton more difficulty.
- Styles did some more chop blocks, some shin breakers, a Half Boston Crab, and a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK AROUND THE STEEL POST!
- Styles tried the Figure Four in the ring, but Low Ki kicked him in the eye with the good leg to get him off, then kicked him again to send him outside.
- Styles had a small cut over his eye, and couldn’t really use it well.
- Ki tried to strike at that to make space, but Styles kept going back to the leg.
- He tried the Styles Clash, but Low Ki body dropped away! He made a big comeback, doing what he could with the leg. But when he went for the Ki Krusher, his leg gave out!
- Styles tried the Rack Bomb, but Low Ki elbowed down! SPINNING BACKFIST! ONE … TWO … THRE - Styles kicked out!
- He tried to put in the Dragon Clutch, but Styles rolled away and hit the PELE KICK! He kicked at Ki’s leg and tried to put in the Figure Four, BUT LOW KI REVERSED INTO THE DRAGON CLUTCH!
- After a long struggle, Styles FINALLY made it to the ropes! Low Ki tried to climb up top, but his leg was bugging him and he couldn’t move quick enough and Styles met him there with big strikes.
- Low Ki raged with elbows and shoved him down, THEN CAME OFF WITH A FLYING CROSSBODY! ONE … TWO … THRE - Styles kicked out!
- Low Ki tweaked his leg on the landing and had to hold at it, letting Styles hit a BRAINBUSTER! ONE … TWO … THRE - Low Ki kicked out!
- Styles tried to set him up top for the Super Brainbuster, BUT LOW KI HIT A BUNCH OF HEADBUTTS TO STYLES’ EYE! BACK HAND TO THE FUCKING EYE! Styles flew off the top! POWERDRIVE ELBOW! ONE … TWO … THREE!
First fall via pinfall: Low Ki (45:08)
- Low Ki got the first fall, which commentary pointed out was just seconds after the 45:00 mark that their time limit draw went to in February.
- Anyway, Low Ki went to put in the Dragon Clutch, but Styles got a leg on the rope.
- Low Ki went after AJ’s leg now, but Styles returned the favor and clearly had the advantage.
- Styles started throwing out everything to get a quick pinfall, including some small packages and even a roll-up with tights.
- Low Ki messed up a Springboard Roundhouse due to his knee, so Styles went to the apron and leveled him with a Springboard Elbow Smash! Both of which were one-half of their tag team finishers.
- Styles went for the Styles Clash, BUT LOW KI PULLED HIM UP FOR THE ALABAMA SLAM! Low Ki collapsed under his leg, but pulled himself up top again!
- This time he took too long AND STYLES RAN UP TOP ANGLE-STYLE AND HIT A SUPER BRAINBUSTER! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Second fall via pinfall: AJ Styles (54:30)
- WE HAVE A TIE WITH JUST OVER FIVE MINUTES LEFT!
- Both guys were down, absolutely dead from fatigue, cuts, and weak limbs.
- Styles hooked the leg for another pin on the same move, but Low Ki kicked out!
- They slowly fought up and traded increasingly hard blows, but then Styles ducked and elbow and kicked at the leg.
- He suddenly realized that a tie may go in his favor, and the champion backed off completely!
- Low Ki had to chase him around on his weak leg, but Styles threw shots when he could.
- Ki finally caught one of his kicks and held his leg while he continuously slapped him as hard as he could in the face!
- Styles started to cover his face, so Low Ki exploded with a big elbow to the gut! DDT! ONE … TWO … THRE - STYLES KICKED OUT!
- Low Ki pulled him right up for the Ki Krusher, but Styles floated over! The pattern continued with Styles dodging the Springboard Roundhouse, BLACK MAGIC~, Spinning Backfist, and Muscle Buster, all by either out-moving him or going to the leg.
- Low Ki finally landed a Dragon Suplex, but when he tried another, STYLES BROKE AWAY AND HIT THE STYLES CLASH! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Third fall via pinfall: AJ Styles (58:58)
- Styles laid on the mat for a long while, looking thrilled. He finally raised his arm in victory, BUT LOW KI GRABBED THE ARM AND PUT HIM INTO THE DRAGON CLUTCH!
- Struggle, struggle, struggle!
- Styles started to fade, but just as the ref started to check on him, THE TIME LIMIT EXPIRED!!
Winner and STILL TNA WORLD CHAMPION: AJ STYLES (1:00:00)

Low Ki let go of the hold and collapsed on the mat. Styles was out of it for a while, but the ref draped the belt over his chest, and he slowly came to. The ref helped him up and he sorta held it up in the air, but he mostly had to rest on the ropes. Low Ki eventually got up as well, and they shook hands! Low Ki went to the back, and AJ Styles got to celebrated with his TNA Championship to close the show.

A highlight video played going over No Surrender, especially the Iron Man Match. Commentary said that neither AJ Styles nor Low Ki were here tonight off the heels of Sunday. When the live show started, it went to…

Alex Shelley in the middle of the ring! With Rhino and Angelina Love, of course. The X-Division Champion welcomed everybody to his company, TNA. He put himself over for winning the biggest match of his career, and really the biggest match in TNA history. He talked about how everybody is upset because AJ Styles isn’t here tonight, but that really doesn’t matter, because the real top champion is. Impact GM Booker T came out and said it was nice of Alex to show up on his show for once, and since he was already here, he could have a main event match, against JAMES STORM!

Commentary reacted to Shelley vs Storm, and also announced Samoa Joe/Homicide vs Young Bucks and Chuck Taylor vs Chris Hero for the TV Title.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary promoted the Trios Grand Prix in two days on Xplosion.

Match 1: The Enlightened vs Shark Boy/D’Lo Brown/Jamie Noble
Basically a showcase for the Enlightened. Kaz got to control Sharky, Rave controlled D’Lo, and Daniels got Noble. After a brief comeback with all three faces rushing the ring, Rave caught Noble off the top with the All the Rave to win.
Winners via pinfall: The Enlightened (3:48)

The Enlightened celebrated in the ring, and Christopher Daniels said that they were going to win the Trios Grand Prix, and that would get his career back on track.

--Commercial Break--

Kevin Nash came out to the ring to hype the Trios Grand Prix, his first project on Xplosion as General Manager, this Saturday. He ran down the 6 signed teams: Team Canada, The Axis Powers, Danielson/Collyer/Strong, Second Best Friends, Volador/Los Infernales , and Sean Waltman/James Gang. He then announced for the first time that another team had been signed: SAMOA JOE, HOMICIDE, and LOW KI! He then said that Kurt Angle’s return has been hyped for Saturday night, and that is indeed because he has been signed for the Grand Prix. But who are his partners? Who better to answer that, THAN KURT ANGLE HIMSELF.

Angle came out and said that he’s excited to get back into the ring. He put over the Trios Grand Prix for having some of the best talent in the world. He said that he definitely wanted to be a part of this, but he knew he needed some incredibly talented partners to join him. And so, without further ado…

9unn6u.jpg

SHELTON BENJAMIN! CHARLIE HAAS! THE WORLD’S GREATEST TAG TEAM! Team Angle posed in the ring as Mike Tenay had an orgasm.

--Commercial Break--

Before the match, Samoa Joe got on the microphone and said that Homicide no-showed tonight’s Impact, so he’d be taking on the Bucks by himself. Commentary talked some about how Cide seems to miss every show where he’s not booked in the main event.

Match 2: Samoa Joe vs The Young Bucks
This was mostly Joe killing both guys, but then they rolled to the outside. Joe tried to get them on the floor, but when he chased them back in, they caught him with a double dropkick. They made very quick tags to try to get him down, but their arbitrary flips did no good. Joe kicked Jeremy to the outside and then pinned Max with the Muscle Buster.
Winner via pinfall: Samoa Joe (2:07)

Joe chucked Max out of the ring for fun, and then posed in the ring.

--Commercial Break--

The Hooliganz were backstage, upset about losing on Sunday. Kendrick said he had some munchies, but London said he didn’t feel like eating. In fact, he was leaving :(

Match 3: Robert Roode vs Fit Finlay
Heat-filled mat wrestling quickly turned into strike trading. Roode seemed to underestimate Finlay somewhat in close combat, and Finlay actually knocked him down with his short-arm clothesline. Finlay started going after the neck, but Roode threw him off with a Belly to Belly! He tried the Payoff, but Finlay spun through! He came off the ropes and tried a boot to the skull, but Roode dodged it and clotheslined him to the outside!

--Commercial Break--

Roode had Finlay down in the ring, working his neck now. He started stomping at him, but Finlay caught up and threw some kicks back! Roode caught finally caught a kick, BUT FIT FINLAY HIT AN ENZUIGIRI! He kept up the momentum with quick clotheslines, and topped it off with a FINLAY ROLL! ONE … TWO … THRE - Roode kicked out! Finlay pulled him up for a Piledriver, but Roode shoved him off! DOUBLE R SPINEBUSTER! ONE … TWO … THR - Finlay got an arm up! Roode pounded at him on the mat and then chucked him into the corner. He charged with a spear, but Finlay moved! Roode hit the post and stumbled back, and Finlay tried a clothesline, but Roode ducked! Roode tried the Northern Lariat, but Finlay ducked! Roode grabbed him anyway for the Payoff, but Finlay elbowed away! He delivered from forearms and tried the Celtic Cross, but Roode fought down and elbowed him in the jaw! NORTHERN LARIAT! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Robert Roode (9:01)

Roode got on the microphone and said that he wasn’t afraid of old men. And just like he beat Finlay tonight, he was going to beat Sting at Bound For Glory too.

--Commercial Break--

Footage played of Hero edging out King, Finlay, and Williams last week to earn this match.

Match 4: Chuck Taylor[c] vs Chris Hero [TNA Television Championship]
Hero came right into this dominating Taylor on the mat and in a vertical position. Chuck tried at first to wrestle a traditional match, but he really only made comebacks when he went back to his scrappy roots. Hero’s frustration with being unable to end it led him to really dish out some big strikes and throws. Chuck bumped around a bunch, but ducked the Rolling Elbow and grabbed a roll-up! ONE … TWO … TH - Hero got out! He tried the Hero’s Welcome, but Taylor dropped into a small package! ONE … TWO … THRE - Hero got out! They both popped up and Taylor pulled him into another small package! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall and still TNA Television Champion: Chuck Taylor (6:58)

Chuckie got up and couldn’t believe it! Hero looked pissed, but he offered a handshake anyway, and it was accepted.

--Commercial Break--

Bound For Glory Report with Raven!
- Sting vs Robert Roode has indeed been the first BFG match signed for this year.
- Right after the match was signed, Sting supporters highlighted the fact that Sting is undefeated at the event.
- Team Canada released a press release immediately afterwards, pointing out that Robert Roode is also undefeated at Bound For Glory when you ignore the Reverse Battle Royal, which has actually been stricken from every TNA record book in hopes that everybody would forget about how embarrassingly bad it was.
- As should be no surprise: Mike Tenay, Jim Cornette, and Taz are the confirmed announce team for Bound For Glory 2011. This will be Don West’s first year not calling the event, and he has vowed to take the show down with him. My guess is that he will be lucky for his stable to get a pre-show match.

--Commercial Break--

Match 5: Bryan Danielson vs Rhino
Basic underdog showcase for Danielson. He totally dominated Rhino on the mat, going after his shoulder when he could. Rhino came back with his power and roughed Danielson up a bit. Danielson shoved away from the Rhino Driver and gained momentum with flying elbows and the Shotgun Dropkick! ONE … TWO … THR - Rhino kicked out! Danielson tried the LeBell Lock, but Rhino clubbed him away! He threw Danielson into the corner and tried a Gore, but Danielson jumped over! Rhino’s shoulder busted the post, and he stumbled back into the EAGLE-PLEX! Danielson climbed up top for the FLYING HEADBUTT! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Bryan Danielson (5:46)

Danielson celebrated in the ring, but Christian Cage came out! He said that Danielson was toast, but Danielson just laughed and said that he already beat him once. Besides, he’s not the one to worry about…

AND MONTY BROWN RAN OUT! THE BOJANGLES COLISEUM EXPLODED FOR HIM BECAUSE OF RACIAL STEREOTYPES! Christian tried to get away, but Monty grabbed him and beat the crap out of him! He roughed him up on the floor, and started to punch at the leg in revenge! He planted Cage with a Running Powerslam on the floor, and then picked him up by under the arms, and swung his body so that his leg smashed into the ring post! Monty celebrated to the back as Christian rolled on the ground holding his knee.

--Commercial Break--

Before the match, James Storm called Alex Shelley a punk, and he said that the only title he wants is the TNA World Championship. He said that somebody’s got to challenge for it at Bound For Glory, and if AJ’s listening, this was him putting his name in the hat!

Match 6: Alex Shelley w/ Rhino & Angelina Love vs James Storm w/ Jackie Moore [Non-Title]
Shelley had trouble wearing Storm down, who just continuously used his strength to shove Shelley off. Storm started powering Shelley to the ground and working over his midsection some, but once on the mat, Shelley used some fancy stuff to neutralize him. After some struggles using technique vs strength, Shelley went to the eyes and started chopping at Storm. He ran off the ropes with a dropkick, but Storm caught him with a SPINEBUSTER! ONE … TWO … THR - Shelley kicked out! Storm pulled him up and tried the Eye of the Storm, but Shelley floated down onto the apron. He tried to come in with a springboard, but Storm ran across and shoved him down, then followed up with a STORM PLANCHA~!

--Commercial Break--

Storm was knocking Shelley around on the floor, and Shelley had trouble making any sort of space. Finally Rhino stepped up, which led to Love and Moore getting involved as well. In all the hubbub, Shelley came off the apron with a Flying Clothesline to the floor! He rolled Storm in and tried to keep him contained, and by viciously going after the neck, he actually had some success. Storm really slowed down, and whenever he tried a power move, Shelley outmaneuvered him by going to the neck. Storm blocked the Shellshock, but Shelley hit a big Reverse DDT! He climbed his way up top, but Storm met him there and threw him off. Shelley staggered up, and Storm sprinted at him with a RUNNING HIGH KNEE! ONE … TWO … THRE - Shelley got an arm up! He yanked him up for the Eye of the Storm, but Shelley countered into a TORNADO DDT! ONE … TWO … THRE - STORM KICKED OUT! Shelley went up top and came off for a Frog Splash, BUT STORM GOT THE KNEES UP! Shelley held at his gut, and Storm hit a POWERBOMB! ONE … TWO … THRE - SHELLEY KICKED OUT! Storm got up and looked frustrated, but just then Jeff Jarrett came out to the stage! He shouted down at Storm that he wasn’t done with him, and Storm shouted back. BUT SHELLEY SNUCK UP WITH THE SHELLSHOCK! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Alex Shelley (12:55)

Jeff Jarrett laughed to the back as Alex Shelley celebrated in the ring. Rhino and Love climbed in to join him, and he held up his X-Division Championship, yelling about being King of the World.

TNA Xplosion: TRIOS GRAND PRIX
Charlotte, North Carolina
Bojangles Coliseum
September 3, 2011

Kevin Nash was in the middle of the ring, and he welcomed everybody to the TNA Trios Grand Prix, a three-hour show dedicated to a trios tournament~! He laid out the ground rules: a simple 3-round tournament, the first round with a 10-minute time limit, the second round with a 20-minute time limit, and the finals with no time limit. In the case of a time limit draw, neither team advances. The winners receive a Trios Grand Prix trophy, $10,000 each, and a specialized surprise granted by Nash himself, determined by what is fitting for the winners specifically. He then went to the booth for tonight, as it was he, Taz, and Raven on commentary.

Match 1: Team Angle vs Sean Waltman/The James Gang [Quarter-finals]
Angle and WGTT were wayyyy over. This was pretty much just a backdrop for all three guys to show off their offense, and WGTT specifically to do some of their signature tandem spots. The James Gang ate a pair of German Suplexes from Angle, and Waltman tried to bail. Hass pulled Waltman back over the top rope though and set up for the LEAPFROG GUILLOTINE! Waltman shot back, right into the OLYMPIC SLAM! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Team Angle (2:23)

Team Angle celebrated in the ring to a big reaction.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Volador/Los Infernales vs The Axis Powers w/ Patrick Schulz [Quarter-finals]
Volador took the lead for his team, and went toe-to-toe with Koslov for a while. The faces bumped around both Koslov and Magnus for a bit, but their language/culture barrier messed them up when they tried to switch legal guys just by rolling under the bottom rope. Averno argued with the ref over this, and turned into a HUGE running elbow from Tanaka! He got worked over for a while, but he finally dodged a Magnus Flying European Uppercut and tagged out to Mephisto! He came right in with a Springboard Wheel Kick, and followed up with a couple hurricanranas from Koslov and Tanaka. He tried a rope-running Tornado DDT on Magnus, but Schulz pulled his feet out! Mephisto crashed to the mat, and Koslov tagged right in with a running leg lariat! The other half of Los Infernales was isolated now, but not for as long. Tanaka missed the Sliding D, and Mephisto countered right into a pop-up hurricanrana! HOT TAG TO VOLADOR! Super Lucha cleaned house with headscissors and dropkicks. Schulz tried to grab his foot, but he jumped, and he tripped Koslov instead! He stumbled forward and Volador hit a SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT! ONE … TWO … THRE - Magnus broke it up! The ref forced him out, but Tanaka snuck it and hit Volador with a DANGAN BOMB! He rolled out and pulled Averno with him, and Koslov pulled Volador up for the RED SCARE! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: The Axis Powers (7:12)

--Commercial Break--

The Axis Powers regrouped backstage, but when Koslov saw Patrick Schulz looking happy, he snapped at him. He said that he almost cost them the match, and he warned him not to become the new Kiyoshi.

Match 3: Team Canada [Young/Tomko/Dux] vs Bryan Danielson/Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong [Quarter-finals]
Basic stuff. Young and Danielson had a mat exchange, and while Danielson again dominated, Young had some new counters to some holds that Danielson had used on him before. Tomko threw his weight around a bunch, but was still mostly lazy. Collyer and Strong specifically used their tag team chemistry to their advantage. Dux talked mad **** with his absurdly deep voice. As it went on, it became more of a sprint as the threat of a time limit draw drew nearer. Young had Collyer down in the ring with a Sharpshooter applied, but Danielson took him out with his AWESOME MISSILE DROPKICK! He tried to roll out, but Tomko yanked him to the floor and laid him out with a falling body slam! BUT STRONG RAN ACROSS AND TOOK TOMKO OUT WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! Dux and Young had Collyer in the ring, but Collyer tried a Dux clothesline, and it hit Young! Dux turned around into a Belly to Belly that sent him to the outside! Collyer grabbed Young to try the Everest German, but Young broke away and countered with some back elbows! He tried the Spike Piledriver, but Collyer got free, grabbed Young’s arm, AND TOOK HIM DOWN INTO THE CROSSFACE CHICKENWING! Danielson and Dux held the Tysons down on the floor, and YOUNG TAPPED OUT!
Winners via submission: Bryan Danielson/Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong (8:15)

Celebration~.

--Commercial Break--

Raven asked Nash about the speculation that Homicide demanded an extra $3,000 just to show up tonight, but Nash refused to comment on the subject.

Match 4: Second Best Friends vs Samoa Joe/Low Ki/Homicide [Quarter-finals]
Perkins, Lost, and King worked way better as a unit here. Not only did Joe, Ki, and Cide play up the tension between them as of late, but the SBF went out of their way to show off tons of double- and triple-team moves; some old, some new. Perkins had an extended segment with Low Ki, and commentary pointed out that TJ actually does have a surprising victory over Ki. It was mostly Perkins dodging around, but he managed to land a few punches and kicks. Of course it only pissed Low Ki off, and he raged with elbows and kicks. Perkins bailed, so Low Ki took him out with a CORKSCREW PLANCHA! Lost went to go check on him, so Joe ran across to flatten him with an ELBOW SUICIDA!!! King went to go check on them both, and Homicide just posed from the apron.

--Commercial Break--

By now the faces had settled into a comfortable zone of murdering all three guys. Each one had a chance, and since there was a time limit, they all three worked quickly and there wasn’t much meandering. King did counter the 187 into a swinging neckbreaker, and beat Cide down some. Lost worked a tight chinlock, and Cide didn’t work too hard to get out, but just kept shouting “COME ON YOU DICKHEADS, COME BREAK IT UP!” Low Ki just rolled his eyes, and finally Homicide fought out and murdered Lost with a lariat. He then tagged in Low Ki by shoving him in the chest! Ki scowled, but got in and cleaned house some. TJ made a blind tag and hit his Formspringboard Elbow Drop! ONE … TWO … TH - Low Ki kicked out aggressively! Lost climbed in too now and they both attacked Ki, so Joe rushed the ring! King managed to trip him to the outside, but Low Ki fought back in the ring! There was some chaos with the ref trying to force Lost to the apron, and Homicide climbed in! AND HE PULLED OUT A SLAPJACK! AND HE NAILED LOW KI IN THE SKULL! He pulled Low Ki up and spat in his face THEN HIT THE 187! Perkins looked totally confused, but he covered as the ref turned around! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Second Best Friends (9:48)

Hoooooooly ****! TJ Perkins was in absolute shock. Homicide climbed back in and started beating Low Ki with the slapjack again! Samoa Joe rushed the ring, and Cide split.

--Commercial Break--

Homicide was backstage FUMING, and Christy Hemme came up for a word. She asked if his attack on Low Ki had been done in a fit of anger, or if he had planned it. Cide sort of loudly rambled about being disrespected, Low Ki being a traitor, Samoa Joe being lazy, and none of dat **** matter. He then stormed off.

Commentary laid out the Semi-finals: Team Angle vs The Axis Powers and Second Best Friends vs Danielson/Collyer/Strong. They talked some about how the second match has a good bit of history, and in some ways it was the very reason that this tournament was put together.

Speaking of which, Perkins, Lost, and King were getting themselves put back together in the back. They sort of talked themselves up, and Lost said that beating those vanilla creeps later would cement them as a superior wrestling team, and shut them up for good. THREE-WAY HIGH FIVE!

--Commercial Break--

Schulz started to come out, but Koslov told him to go to the back.

Match 5: Team Angle vs The Axis Powers [Semi-finals]
Koslov was super cocky walking into a starting segment with Angle, and he got completely worked. He scurried over to tag out to Tanaka, and yeah! Tanaka went toe-to-toe with Angle, and looked badass denying his suplexes and killing him with strikes. WGTT came in to double-team him some, but Haas got caught up in the heel corner. Koslov mostly directed traffic, but he did get in to lock in the Moscow Cloverleaf! Haas got to the ropes, but Koslov dragged him back to the middle of the ring! He tried to put the Cloverleaf back in, BUT HAAS COUNTERED INTO THE HAAS OF PAIN! Koslov struggled, and Magnus finally dove to save! Angle and Shelton rushed the ring, and Shelton knocked Magnus out with the DRAGON WHIP! Tanaka came in and nailed Angle with a big elbow! He climbed up top, BUT SHELTON BENJAMIN JUMPED UP! BUT TANAKA THREW HIM DOWN! BUT THEN ANGLE RAN UP! SUPER BELLY TO BELLY! Koslov got up, and WGTT hit the Inverted Atomic Drop/Superkick/Jackknife Pin Combination! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Team Angle (6:32)

More celebration from Team Angle. Commentary pointed out that they would have longer to rest into the Finals than whoever wins the next Semi-final.

--Commercial Break--

Match 6: Second Best Friends vs Bryan Danielson/Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong [Semi-finals]
The most competitive match yet. With the time limit extended from 10 minutes to 20, there was more of a feeling out stage. Danielson and King went to the mat for a bit, and King actually looked reasonably decent by using his size advantage. Strong and Perkins had a segment as well, and Strong upped the pace with throws and kicks to the back. All three guys went all out now, and at Strong’s direction, the faces almost exclusively targeted the backs of their opponents. The heels started to pick at Strong’s knee, but he countered Lost’s shin breaker into a Falling DDT, then tagged to Collyer! And Collyer took over for Strong with backbreakers of his own! He went for the Everest German on Perkins, but Lost pulled him off! Strong rushed the ring, but King cut him off with a dropkick to the knee! BUT DANIELSON CAME IN WITH HIS MISSILE DROPKICK! Lost tried a Superkick, but Danielson caught his leg and elbowed him back into Collyer’s EVERST GERMAN! ONE … TWO … THRE - PERKINS BROKE IT UP WITH HIS FORMSPRINGBOARD ELBOW! Danielson murdered Perkins with kicks, sending him out of the ring, and he followed up with a TOPE SUICID - NO! KING INTERCEPTED DANIELSON WITH A FLYING SHOULDERBLOCK MIDAIR, SENDING DANIELSON CRASHING TO THE FLOOR! WE’LL BE RIGHT BACK!

--Commercial Break--

The heels had Danielson down in their corner, and he was really roughed up from that bump right before the break. He kept favoring his shoulder and neck, so those were obviously targeted. The only problem was that they couldn’t really put any submission holds on him, because whenever any of them tried to go to the mat, Danielson managed to outclass them and dominate anyway. He finally got off his Shotgun Clothesline with the good arm, and HOT TAG TO RODDY! Suplexes everywhere. Then Collyer got in. Backbreakers everywhere. Big rush of moves everywhere, good double- and triple-team moves. Perkins tried the Puma Buster on Collyer, but Strong broke it up with a Sick Kick to the back of the head! Perkins fell back, and Collyer and Strong hit the BELLY TO BELLY/BACKBREAKER COMBINATION! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Bryan Danielson/Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong (15:56)

YAY~! Strong and Collyer celebrated, and Danielson slid in to join them. The Second Best Friends regrouped on the ramp and they all looked sad, especially Scott Lost.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary took the time to announce that AJ Styles would indeed be on Impact in 5 days, but Nash told them to quit talking about the other show.

They also recapped the tournament a little bit, complete with replay highlights. They set the stage for the finals of Team Angle vs Danielson/Collyer/Strong, and then talked some about the crazy turn by Homicide. Leading to…

Samoa Joe and Low Ki were backstage, FURIOUS. Low Ki of course didn’t talk, but Samoa Joe said that Homicide had signed his death warrant. He said that they put up with him being a prick because he’s their friend, but that only goes so far. He said that nobody here in TNA likes Cide, but they wouldn’t mess with him, because he was friends with the most badass wrestlers around. But now, not only does he not have friends, but his enemies are human-destroying machines.

--Commercial Break--

THE FINALS~! Kevin Nash left the announce booth to bring out a huge object, hidden under a black sheet (presumably the tournament trophy). Raven and Taz talked some about how Team Angle has had more time to rest, and really they’ve had easier match-ups through the tournament. But they also have a bit more ring rust to shake off, and the younger guys may have an edge in wrestling three matches in one night.

Match 7: Team Angle vs Bryan Danielson/Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong [Trios Grand Prix Finals]
Collyer/Strong and WGTT had a tag struggle on the mat, and eventually Haas got the advantage for his team. Strong was briefly isolated, but mostly just working to keep him grounded, with commentary making sure to bring up the tough match he just had before this. Anyway, he eventually countered Shelton into a Pendulum Backbreaker! Shelton tagged out to Angle, and Strong tagged out to DANIELSON! ANGLE AND DANIELSON! THE IWC MELTED! They pretty much did their own thing for a while, with heated mat struggles as the theme. Angle kept getting pissed that he couldn’t dominate Danielson, so he actually went to the hurt shoulder. Danielson countered with a bunch of headlocks and legal chokes, and finally Angle backed off. They went at it from a vertical position now, and when Angle couldn’t get off any suplexes, he started throwing punches! Danielson came back with forearms, and then they traded kicks! Danielson got the better of it, and got off a Side Belly to Belly! He tried another, but Angle elbowed away! He went for a vertical suplex, but Danielson floated over! BRIDGING GERMAN! ONE … TWO … THR - Angle got an arm up! He staggered to his feet and looked overwhelmed, surprised, and a little pissed going into the break.

--Commercial Break--

Coming back, Angle had Collyer on the mat, and he was seemingly taking out his frustration there. Shelton came in and was a little too cocky, leading to him missing a Stinger Splash! Overhead Belly to Belly from Collyer! Hot tag to Strong! He bumped Shelton around some, and there was a tiny run of everybody clearing the ring, leading to Strong having Shelton alone for the STRONG BACKBREAKER! ONE … TWO … THR - Haas dove to save! The ref forced Haas out, but Shelton was still stuck, and he was eventually isolated. They all went after his back, and Danielson whipped out the Lion Tamer. Collyer tried the Everest German, but Benjamin blocked and kicked him back! PAYDIRT! He crawled over to tag in Haas! Deep arm drags everywhere! He sent Danielson out of the ring with a Belly to Belly, and then tagged in Angle! FLYING FOREARM TO COLLYER! Belly to Belly to Strong! He went for the Olympic Slam on Collyer, but Danielson pulled him off! But Angle exploded with some European Uppercuts! He tried the Olympic Slam on Danielson, but he countered into his Crucifix Elbows! Then shoved him into a Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker from Strong! SHELTON BENJAMIN CAME OUT OF NOWHERE WITH A SPRINGBOARD BULLDOG TO STRONG! Danielson hit him with the EAGLE-PLEX! Angle tossed Danielson out! OLYMPIC SLAM TO STRONG! ONE … TWO … THRE - NO! COLLYER JUST SAVED! Everybody was down in the ring going into the final break!

--Commercial Break--

Danielson had Haas down on the mat, and he was just pounding away with knees and ‘bows. He threw him once with a side suplex, but when he tried another, Haas countered with an arm drag! He followed up with a few more stiff ones, and then turned it into an arm bar. Danielson tried to fight back, but his shoulder was too weak! WGTT worked together to beat at his shoulder, mostly with stomps and elbows. Angle got in, but Danielson started raging with kicks! Angle caught one, AND PUT HIM INTO THE ANKLE LOCK! Danielson started to fight out, so Angle transitioned to his arm, AND PUT IN THE CROSSFACE! He wrenched back on Danielson’s bad shoulder, and AmDrag started to fade… but he pulled his feet under him, AND COUNTERED INTO A GUILLOTINE CHOKE TO ANGLE! He pulled back, but his arm quickly gave out with the pressure. Both guys fought to their feet and could have made a tag, but instead charged, both hitting a crossbody on the other at the same time! This time they did crawl to their respective corners, and Benjamin and Strong tagged in! Lots of quick back-and-forth between them, with Shelton now running through his signature WWE spots. Collyer and Haas got involved as well. WGTT tried their Inverted Atomic Drop/Superkick Combination on Strong, but he ducked the Superkick! GIBSON DRIVE TO HAAS! ONE … TWO … THRE - HAAS KICKED OUT! Strong tried the Strong Backbreaker, but Haas kicked his knee out, AND PUT HIM IN THE HAAS OF PAIN! But Collyer rushed over and broke it up with a diving dropkick! He climbed up top, BUT ANGLE RAN OUT OF NOWHERE AND PULLED HIM DOWN WITH A SUPER BELLY TO BELLY! As he was climbing back out of the apron, Strong ran over and knocked him down with a SICK KICK! He turned around and Haas tried a Piledriver, but Strong threw him off and hit the STRONG BACKBREAKER! ONE … TWO … THRE - SHELTON JUST BROKE IT UP! He tried the T-Bone suplex, but Strong threw him into the EVEREST GERMAN FROM COLLYER! Danielson begged for the tag, and he got it! He climbed up top! FLYING HEADBUTT TO HAAS! ONE … TWO … THRE - HAAS THREW AN ARM UP! Danielson tried to fight him into the LeBell Lock, but Haas punched at his arm, and quickly tagged in Angle! He immediately went for the Flying Forearm, BUT DANIELSON TOOK HIM DOWN INTO THE LEBELL LOCK! Haas and Benjamin rushed the ring, and Collyer and Strong met them! Shelton threw Collyer out, but Strong kicked both of WGTT to the floor and followed up with a PLANCHA! In all the hubbub, Angle rolled through the LeBell Lock and exploded with punches. He tried a quick Olympic Slam, BUT DANIELSON COUNTERED INTO THE CATTLE MUTILIATION! But his shoulder gave out! He delivered a big boot to Angle’s skull, then went up top! BUT ANGLE WAS UP AND RAN UP TOP! BUT, NO! DANIELSON SHOVED HIM DOWN! Angle stood up, AND DANIELSON CAME OFF WITH THE MISSILE DROPKICK! He quickly pulled himself up and ran up the opposite corner! FLYING HEADBUTT! ONE … TWO … THRE - NO! ANGLE GOT AN ARM UP! Danielson pulled Angle up! EAGLE-PLEX! He pulled him up again! ANOTEHR EAGLE-PLEX! ONE … TWO … THREEEE!!!!
Winners via pinfall and 2011 Trios Grand Prix Champions: Bryan Danielson/Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong (22:36)

WOO HOO, imo. Danielson pulled himself off and celebrated HUGE at pinning Kurt Angle. Collyer and Strong slid in to join, and Angle finally pulled himself up. He nodded his head at Danielson, and gave a handshake! WGTT rolled in, and offered their hands as well! Nash climbed in and unveiled the 2011 TRIOS GRAND PRIX TROPHY~!~! Danielson, Collyer, and Strong held it in the air in jubilee to close the show.

AJ Styles opened the show in the middle of the ring, and he talked about going a full hour to beat Low Ki two weeks ago in an Iron Man Match. He said that he has proven once again why he is The Man here, and why everywhere that TNA travels is in fact Styles Country. He trashed Alex Shelley for coming to his show last week and daring to proclaim himself the top champion, BUT ALEX SHELLEY CAME OUT FOR HIMSELF! He got in the ring and they argued over which of them was the premier champion, with AJ pointing out that the TNA Championship has main evented more TNA PPVs than any other title combined, but Shelley rebutting that he’s held the title for 627 days, a feat that no man has done in most fans’ lifetimes. Shelley then went a step further and said that he had already taken steps to have his X-Division Championship defended in the main event of Bound For Glory, with the contract going to whichever X-Division wrestler he and Kevin Nash saw fit to claim it. Styles looked like he was about to rage, but he held his cool. He listed everything he’s done for this company and all that he’s accomplished, and he asked how Shelley could have the audacity to disrespect The Man around here. Styles said that not everybody likes him, but everybody--Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, Monty Brown, Kurt Angle, Christian Cage--EVERYBODY respects him. Shelley just smiled and said, “everybody… but me.” Styles yelled at him to wipe that shit-eating grin off his face, and then he dared him to say that to his face. Shelley was silent, so Styles screamed, his face now blood red, for him to tell him to his face, in front of the entire world, that he doesn’t respect THE AJ Styles. Shelley got up right close to him and said slowly, but clearly, “I don’t respect you, AJ Styles,” AND THEN HE SLAPPED AJ STYLES IN THE FACE! Styles looked like he was about to lose his shit, but Shelley rolled out of the ring and backed up the ramp, cool and collected.

--Commercial Break--

A replay of Alex Shelley slapping AJ Styles in the face place, and commentary reacted. Mike Tenay said that he’d been here since day one, and he’s seen AJ’s long journey from the first match in TNA to becoming the face of the company, but he’s never seen anybody show such blatant disrespect to AJ and his legacy.

Match 1: Richie Steamboat vs Matt Morgan w/ Don West & Lance Hoyt
Steamboat tried a hit-and-run strategy, but Morgan used his agility to mostly keep up. Steamboat had to take it right to him with chops and kicks to the legs, but Morgan just threw him around like a rag doll. He finally went for the Hellevator, but Steamboat floated over! Morgan charged with the Carbon Footprint, but Steamboat ducked, and Morgan fell to the outside! Steamboat followed up with a Plancha, but Morgan caught him AND HIT A FALLAWAY SLAM ON THE FLOOR! He threw Steamboat back in the ring and hit a quick Hellevator to win.
Winner via pinfall: Matt Morgan (5:11)

Morgan celebrated in the ring, but Steamboat got up and hit him with a big spin kick to the face! Morgan and Hoyt tried to grab Little Richie, but he scurried off to the back.

Bound For Glory Report with Raven!
- The Beach Boys will be singing the National Anthem this year.
- TNA wrestlers such as AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, Christian Cage, Alex Shelley, Samoa Joe, and many others will be making periodic photo signings in the greater NYC area in the coming weeks to build attention for BFG.
- Kevin Nash is apparently working tirelessly to sign a big name to face Alex Shelley for the X-Division Championship at Bound For Glory.

--Commercial Break--

AJ Styles was in the back, absolutely furious. He revealed that he had talked to Booker T, and he wanted Shelley tonight, but he only got Rhino. Styles said that he’d take out his anger on Rhino, and he’s show Alex why he is the supreme champion, why Alex should go back to Xplosion with his secondary title, and why his TNA Championship should and will main event Bound For Glory.

Match 2: Robert Roode w/ Tyson Dux vs Paul London w/ Brian Kendrick
Pretty even mat game to start, but Roode started to use his weight to his advantage. London started to up the pace, but Roode caught him off the ropes with a Double R Spinebuster! ONE … TWO … TH - London kicked out! Roode started to wear at his back now, but London landed a big heel kick to the chin to get him off! He took Roode to the floor with a headscissors, and then skinned the cat back into the ring. Roode staggered to his feet, and London followed up with a PLANCHA!

--Commercial Break--

London was still bumping Roode around, and he whipped out a Springboard Clothesline for a nearfall. He climbed up top for a flying hurricanrana, but Roode POWERBOMBED HIM IN MIDAIR! ONE … TWO … THRE - London got a shoulder up! Roode went to town on his midsection now, both stomping at his ribs and stretching him out on the mat. London’s comebacks got progressively harder, but he did counter the Payoff into a HURRICANRANA! ONE … TWO … THR - Roode got out! London hopped up and tried a Superkick, but Roode threw him off! NORTHERN LARI - No! London ducked! He leapfrogged over Roode and came off the ropes, right into the PAYOFF! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Robert Roode (10:35)

After the match, Robert Roode said that Sting has been around since the mid-80’s, which means he has worked with many, many wrestlers. Some of them may have some valuable advice, which is why he’d be looking to them for guidance in the weeks to come.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, James Storm said that if Jeff Jarrett wanted more of the Tennessee Cowboy, he’d get more. And if Shelley thought he’d get away with a cheap win over James Storm, he had something else coming for him.

Backstage, London told Kendrick that nothing was going right, and it was time for a change.

Alex Shelley, Rhino, and Angelina Love were backstage. Shelley told Rhino that he was on his own tonight, but that he could handle AJ. Love asked if he had a plan to show Styles up, and Shelley said that he always has a plan.

Christian Cage was LIVE VIA SATELLITE from his home in Tampa, Florida. His leg was taped up with ice on it, and he said that he hurt it severely due to the barbaric attack from Monty Brown last week. He only said that it hampered his plans of beating AJ Styles at Bound For Glory, but that he would address his peeps in full on Xplosion in two days.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary said that Chad Collyer had been granted this title rematch as a result of his team winning the Trios Grand Prix. Apparently Danielson and Strong also get something, which Nash will announce on Xplosion.

Match 3: Chuck Taylor[c] vs Chad Collyer [TNA Television Championship]
Taylor’s plan to become a “real” wrestler continued with Noble-like low dropkicks, Finlay-esque elbows to the arm, and even some headbutts right out of Al Snow’s playbook (all road agents in TNA). Still, Collyer mostly dominated with his mat game. Chuckie was really forced to go back to his old method of grabbing roll-ups when he could, and running through his “Sloppy As Hell” moveset. Collyer kept getting pissed that he couldn’t keep Chuck down, and he actually got very aggressive. Lots of stomping, driving the elbow into the face, and even a few cheap shots. Chuckie finally ducked a cheap back elbow and grabbed an O’Connor Roll! ONE … TWO … THR - Collyer kicked out! Chuck tried a backslide, but Collyer broke free and bashed Taylor in the back of the skull! EVEREST GERMAN! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall and NEW TNA TELEVISION CHAMPION: CHAD COLLYER (7:39)

:( Collyer celebrated regaining his belt, and Chuckie looked sad. Collyer patted him on the head and went to the back, TV Champion again.

--Commercial Break--

The Enlightened were backstage, and Chris Daniels cut a promo about how his career is spiraling downward into a pit of nothingness. Basically, he is emo. And it is time for a change.

Match 4: Chris Hero/Fit Finlay vs Kenny King/Scott Lost w/ TJ Perkins
More one-upmanship from Hero and Finlay. King ate a lot of it, but Perkins provided enough of a distraction for Lost to take Finlay down from behind. He was briefly isolated, but he fought out of the heel corner with big forearms. Hero made a hot tag and cleaned house, but he couldn’t put either guy away. It transitioned into a big back-and-forth, with no substantial control segment to speak of. King and Lost gelled better together, which gave them a slight advantage. Hero looked awesome with his size and unique offense, but Finlay kept getting distracted by double-teaming. Hero eventually tackled King out of the ring, and Finlay lined up for a boot on Lost, but the Redcoats ran out! Dave Taylor distracted the ref, and Doug Williams snuck into the ring! He grabbed Finlay for the Chaos Theory, but Finlay shoved him off! Hero came in and tried the Rolling Elbow to Williams, but he ducked, AND IT HIT FINLAY! Perkins pulled Hero out of the ring, and Lost covered Finlay! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Kenny King/Scott Lost (7:20)

The Second Best Friends celebrated in the ring as the Redcoats escaped to the back. Hero tried to help Finlay up, and he thought about it, but finally accepted it and they left together.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary announced that Scott Lost was promptly awarded a TV Title match for pinning Finlay in the tag match, and that title match will be this Saturday on Xplosion!

A replay of Homicide turning on Samoa Joe and Low Ki in the Trios Grand Prix played.

Samoa Joe and Low Ki came down to the ring together, pissed off. Joe called out Homicide to face them man-to-man-to-man, instead of attacking them from behind like on Saturday. Homicide finally came out, but he stayed on the stage. He said that he had no choice but to do what he did, since Low Ki has been hanging out with a cracker for months, and he called him a traitor. Then he said Joe had lost his edge and become Joe Cool, a shell of his former badass self. He said that the three of them used to be the scariest motherfuckers in the industry, and now he’s the only one who fights like a real man. Low Ki finally got fed up with it, and he rushed out of the ring to attack Homicide! Joe stayed put and watched as Ki ran at Homicide, but Cide escaped to the back before Ki could get to him.

--Commercial Break--

NEXT WEEK! KURT ANGLE! BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

Match 5: AJ Styles vs Rhino [Non-Title]
Rhino tried to throw his power around, but Styles even looked strong there. He wore down at Rhino’s legs, and then forced him to the mat. He started working his leg, but as he was going for the Figure Four Leglock, SHELLEY RUSHED THE RING AND TACKLED STYLES DOWN!
Winner via disqualification: AJ Styles (2:46)

Shelley kept stomping at Styles, and then Rhino joined in. JAMES STORM ran down, but Rhino cut him off! Love distracted him, and Rhino laid him out with a GORE. Rhino held Styles in place as Shelley went to bash him with the X-Division title again, but this time AJ ducked AND SHELLEY HIT RHINO! Styles fought back on Shelley, and he went out to grab HIS belt to hit Alex, but he ducked and kicked AJ’s belt away! Styles tried a roundhouse, but Shelley ducked and picked up the TNA Championship and BLASTED Styles in the skull! Styles hit the mat and Shelley instinctively held the belt up, but then he saw it was the TNA Championship! He threw it down like it was on fire, and picked up his own X-Division Championship. He held that up in the air, but then looked down at the TNA World Championship on the mat. He glared at it, perhaps longingly, as the show faded to a close.

Stuff for tonight: A Television Title match, a BFG Rewind Match, and New Age Machineguns vs Hooliganz in the main event. Tenay said that a tag title #1 contender’s tournament had been set up, so the winner of tonight’s main event would face the winner of Ravarian/Negroes next week. And the winner of that match would face Bailout at Bound For Glory for the tag belts. This week’s special guest host: Bobby Eaton, in honor of a tag team main event.

Everybody was banned from ringside for this.

Match 1: Chad Collyer[c] vs Scott Lost [TNA Television Championship]
Lots of mat stuff to start, with Collyer going aggressively after the arm. Lost returned the aggressiveness, and it became a pretty heated match quickly. Both guys took some shortcuts, with Lost’s being more blatant. Collyer tried to put in the Crossface Chickenwing, but Lost snuck in a low blow! He tried the Big Fat Kill, but Collyer ducked! BELLY TO BELLY! ONE … TWO … THRE - Lost kicked out! Collyer tried the Everest German, but Lost broke free! He tried a Superkick, but Collyer ducked and PUT IN THE CROSSFACE CHICKENWING! Lost struggled, but finally tapped!
Winner via submission and still TNA Television Championship: Chad Collyer (6:29)

Collyer celebrated in the ring, and Bryan Danielson and Roderick Strong came out to join him. GM Kevin Nash came out though! He congratulated them on winning the Trios Grand Prix, and he reiterated that Collyer’s prize was a TV Title match, which he successfully turned in on. But Strong and Danielson also both get something. And, seeing as how they’ve been at Collyer’s side every step of him being TV Champion the first time around, the time since, and now the second reign, he felt it should involve the TV Title. And so, both guys were in line for a TV Title match against Collyer! The question was, who would get it first? Nash said that next week on Xplosion we would see Bryan Danielson vs Roderick Strong, and whichever of them wins gets the first title match. If he wins, then that’s it. If he loses, then the other guy gets it. If they both fail to win, then Collyer has emerged an even stronger champion than before. Collyer, Danielson, and Strong all looked at each other as GM Nash went to the back.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Scott Lost was looking very sad. TJ Perkins walked up and told him to keep his chin up, but LOST SAID THAT HE WAS QUITTING! He stormed off, and TJ looked most confused.

Match 2: Los Infernales vs Viktor Koslov/Masato Tanaka w/ Brutus Magnus & Patrick Schulz
Koslov was really cocky, so he walked right into a bunch of lucha madness. He finally snuck away and tagged out to Tanaka, who murders Mexicans for fun. Averno started to come back at him with kicks, so Magnus hopped up on the apron for the distraction. Tanaka leveled him with an elbow to the side of the head, and he was stuck in the heel corner for a bit. He finally managed to duck a running elbow from Tanaka, and tagged out to Mephisto! SPRINGBOARD WHEEL KICK! ONE … TWO … THR - Tanaka kicked out! Mephisto continued on his sprint, but Koslov cut him off with a Calf Kick. He tried the Red Scare, but Mephisto floated over! Schulz hopped onto the apron, but Mephisto shoved Koslov into him! ROLL UP! ONE … TWO … THRE - Koslov JUST got out! Tanaka got in the ring, but Averno cleared him out with a Cactus Crossbody! Mephisto tried a wheel kick in the ring, but Koslov ducked and hit the RED SCARE! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Viktor Koslov/Masato Tanaka (6:30)

Post-match, Koslov yelled at Schulz for almost messing it up, but then celebrated with Tanaka.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Kevin Nash fired the James Gang for being horrible and not named Sean Waltman.

Young, Dux, Tomko, Roode, and CHRISTIAN IN A WHEELCHAIR came out to the ring. Christian said he was very seriously injured due to the heinous attack from Monty Brown, who would be hearing for the top Canadian lawyers. Monty came out for himself and went off in Afrikan on Christian for injuring him. Christian told him to keep it to words, because if he attacked, he’d sue him! Monty looked pissed, but instead killed Tyson Dux with an Alpha Slam because he could. The rest of Team Canada helped Christian out of the ring as Monty was fuming in the ring.

Sonjay Dutt was getting warmed up backstage for his match with James Storm, and Sheik Abdul Bashir walked up! Dutt said he thought he was fired, but Bashir said he was brought back for one night to face Creed in a BFG Rewind Match, and if he wins, he’s rehired. Dutt asked if he wanted him in his corner, but Bashir said that he didn’t want a dirty Indian with him.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: James Storm vs Sonjay Dutt
Showcase for Storm. He won with the Eight Second Ride.
Winner via pinfall: James Storm (1:03)

Post-match, Jarrett led out Chris Harris and the Tennessee Titans to attack Storm. Harris ended up laying out and busting open Storm with a beer bottle to the skull.

--Commercial Break--

A pre-taped interview played, with Nash asking Shelley some questions. Shelley talked about how AJ Styles thinks he’s all high and mighty, when really he represents the hypocritical practice of believing somebody is the best because The Powers That Be feed it to you. He said that people should judge who is the best based on who has acted the part. And maybe, JUST MAYBE, the guy who has been champion for 629 days; fended off challenges from Low Ki, Homicide, Paul London, Brian Kendrick, Christopher Daniels, and Samoa Joe; and won the first ever X-Division King of the Mountain… MAYBE that guy is the best

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Sheik Abdul Bashir vs Consequences Creed w/ Jay Lethal [BFG Rewind -- 2008]
Basic match, used as a backdrop to hype Bound For Glory. Bashir seemed very desperate to get a win at any cost, but Creed mostly ran through his offense. Bashir got off a bodyslam and tried to put in the Camel Clutch, but Creed slipped out and hit the Somersault Clothesline. He pulled him up for the Fireman’s Carry Cutter, and he got the win.
Winner via pinfall: Consequences Creed (3:04)

The Negroes celebrated in the ring. Ravarian were seen watching from the back, and Ravarian/2CN was hyped for next week.

--Commercial Break--

Bailout came out to watch from ringside, and Burke joined the commentary team.

Match 5: The Hooliganz vs New Age Machineguns
I really like Jacobs, but it is matches like these that make me still wish it was still MCMG. All for the best I suppose. Anyway, after a short struggle for control on the mat, both teams realized it would be a stalemate. Jacobs was the first to up the pace, and Kendrick hung right there with him. London came in to do the same, but Sabin caught London off the ropes with a Side Belly to Belly! He pounced on London’s back that Roode worked over on Impact, including a snap powerslam for a nearfall. London started to comeback with kicks and he tried a Superkick, but Sabin ducked and reversed it into a SLINGSHOT POWERBOMB! ONE … TWO … THRE - London got an arm up, BUT CAN HE SURVIVE?!

--Commercial Break--

In fact, Paul London is still alive. Jacobs and Sabin had him pretty well isolated in the ring, and Jacobs cut out the high-flying in order to keep London grounded. The New Guns used some double-team moves (bodyslam onto the knees, assisted backbreaker, etc.), and London really couldn’t catch a break. Finally when Jacobs went up top for the Flying Back Senton, LONDON MOVED! Jacobs tagged in Sabin, BUT KENDRICK GOT THE HOT TAG TOO! He came in on fire~, and cleaned house on both guys. Flying clotheslines, dropkicks, heel kicks, the whole works. He sent Jacobs out of the ring with a Superkick, and then laid Sabin out with a DDT! London climbed up top, and Sabin tagged him in! SHOOTING STAR PRE - NO! SABIN MOVED! Kendrick charged, but Sabin sent him flying over the top rope and to the floor! London staggered to his feet, and SABIN NAILED HIS OWN SUPERKICK! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: New Age Machineguns (12:46)

Sabin celebrated in the ring, and Jacobs rolled in to join him. London looked very sad. The New Guns motioned for the titles, which Bailout held up to close the show.

AJ Styles came out to start the show, diving right in to calling Alex Shelley a coward who is in over his head. Alex Shelley came out and said that it’s about damn time people start paying attention to the guy who has gotten this company more attention than anybody in its history. Styles said that Shelley sounded pathetic, and he asked if he was jealous of him. “YOU’RE DAMN RIGHT I’M JEALOUS, AJ!” Shelley delved right into a tirade about how everybody praises Styles on this and that, proclaiming him the face of TNA. They say that he is The Man here, despite only holding the TNA Championship for 6 months out of the 21 months that he’s held the X-Division Championship. Of course he’s jealous; he has every right in the world to be, AND THAT’S WHY HE ATTACKED STYLES BACKSTAGE AT VICTORY ROAD! REVELATION~! Styles lunged for him, and they fought briefly, but officials quickly broke them up. Booker T came out and told security to keep them separate until tonight’s main event: AJ Styles/James Storm vs Alex Shelley/Rhino!

--Commercial Break--

Commentary reacted to the opening segment and also announced Paul London vs Chris Sabin tonight. They also hyped Kurt Angle’s big announcement tonight, here from his hometown of Pittsburgh.

Match 1: The Redcoats vs Chris Hero/Fit Finlay
Lots of violence. By now, they were all pretty familiar with each other, so there were also a lot of counters for their signature stuff. Hero and Williams had some fancy mat work. Hero and Finlay were knocking Williams around together, and Hero went for the Cyclone Kill, but WILLIAMS DUCKED AND IT HIT FINLAY! Williams threw Hero out and covered Finlay to steal it!
Winners via pinfall: The Redcoats (6:50)

The Redcoats celebrated to the back. Hero tried to help up Finlay, and he thought longer about it, but he finally went with him.

--Commercial Break--

Apparently Paul London requested this match, embarrassed at having been pinned by Sabin on Xplosion after a Superkick, one of his own moves.

Match 2: Chris Sabin w/ Jimmy Jacobs vs Paul London w/ Brian Kendrick
London wanted to go the mat this time, and he went right for Sabin’s leg to block the Superkick. Sabin managed to wrestle around him and he started to go after the back like on Xplosion. London got really aggressive, with the ref having to give him warnings at times. That led to him being too cautious, and Sabin sprung with some high-impact moves. Sabin tried a Superkick, but London ducked and swept out Sabin’s bad leg! STANDING SSP! ONE … TWO … THR - Sabin kicked out! London pulled him up and tried a Waffle Face, but Sabin elbowed away. He tried the Slingshot Powerbomb, but London blocked this one and used a hurricanrana to make both guys spill to the outside!

--Commercial Break--

London was still sticking to his strategy of going after Sabin’s leg, but it left him open to a bunch of chops, punches, and forearms. After a bunch of chops, London got really pissed, and actually slapped Sabin in the face! Sabin tackled him down, and after a brief scuffle on the mat, London caught Sabin’s leg with a twisting leg bar! He used that to keep shutting down Sabin’s comebacks, but he didn’t see the RANDOM SABIN SUPERKICK! Sabin collapsed under his bad leg, and by the time he crawled over, London had spilled to the outside. He managed to go out and roll London in, but when he followed into the ring, London hit a JUMPING DDT! ONE … TWO … THRE - Sabin got an arm up! London lined up for a Superkick, but Sabin ducked! CRADLESHOCK! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Chris Sabin (12:33)

The New Age Machineguns celebrated to the back, motioning for the TNA Tag Team Championship. Commentary hyped 2 Crazy Negroes vs Ravarian on Xplosion, with the winner facing NAMG in a tag team #1 contenders match. In the ring, London got up and looked absolutely crushed. Then it cut backstage to see Christopher Daniels watching on the television screen. Hmm…

Robert Roode was talking backstage with Kevin Nash about wrestling Sting at Bound For Glory. Nash said that he really opened up a can of worms now, and it’s on him to contain the Icon. Roode asked for advice, and Nash told him not to call in sick October 16. Nash walked off, and Roode looked pissed.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: Low Ki vs Sonjay Dutt
Tons of murder. He didn’t even try to end it quickly, but just enjoyed roughing him up. He finally got bored and locked in the Dragon Clutch to win.
Winner via submission: Low Ki (2:19)

Post-match, Homicide came out to troll Low Ki for being a traitor, so Ki attacked! They brawled for a bit, and officials came out to break it up. Samoa Joe came out as well to split them up, and he helped separate them, but Low Ki instinctively smacked Joe when he pulled him off! Joe looked pissed, but he just went to the back as security dragged Cide and Ki separately away from ringside.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Christy Hemme asked Samoa Joe about Low Ki slapping him just now, but Joe kept storming away.

Match 4: Richie Steamboat vs Lance Hoyt w/ Don West & Matt Morgan
Steamboat did a ton more hit-and-run than in his match with Morgan. He finally got Hoyt to chase him out of the ring, but when West distracted him, Hoyt leveled him with a clothesline! He roughed him up on the outside, but after a few seconds, Steamboat used a drop toehold to send him into the ring steps! The ref was nearly done with his ten-count, and Steamboat slid in just in time!
Winner via count out: Richie Steamboat (3:27)

The Dungeon of Don tried to catch Steamboat, but he got away again.

--Commercial Break--

Kurt Angle came out to the Impact Zone in his hometown, and the Pittsburgh crowd ate it up. First he put over Bryan Danielson, Roderick Strong, and Chad Collyer for beating he and WGTT to win the Trios Grand Prix. Then he talked about coming to TNA in 2006 and wanting to help make it great by always bringing his A-game. He talked about all he’s done in TNA, but he said that there comes a time when the old names should bow out so that the new blood can take the spotlight. He said that it has been a hell of a ride in the wrestling industry, but it is time for him to hang up the boots. AWWW SADNESS. He said that he did want one last special match though, and he wanted it to be at Bound For Glory! He left it as an open challenge, but when he turned around, HE GOT SPEARED BY SEAN HERNANDEZ! WHAT THE HELL! Hernandez posed over Angle and laughed as the crowed booed.

--Commercial Break--

A replay of what just played happened. Commentary supposed that Hernandez’ suspension must now be up, and this was his way of coming back.

Match 5: AJ Styles/James Storm w/ Jackie Moore vs Alex Shelley/Rhino w/ Angelina Love
Shelley and Storm started, and Storm was pissed. Shelley tried to go to the neck like he had success with two weeks ago, but Storm was too overwhelming with the punches. Rhino got in and there was a bit of a brawl, but AJ tagged in and took Rhino right down with a series of roll-ups to throw him off. He followed up with some dropkicks, and finally managed to take it to him with chops and forearms. Rhino shoved him off and tried a Spinebuster, but Styles floated through and hit a Back Suplex! Styles covered, but Shelley immediately started to get in the ring. Styles broke the pin and challenged Shelley to get in, but Shelley laughed and backed off to the apron again.

--Commercial Break--

Styles and Storm were working well together to keep Rhino contained, but he went to Storms’ eyes to get away. Shelley came in with a quick kick to the back to take Storm to a knee, and then followed up with a big kick to the back of the head! ONE … TWO … THRE - Storm kicked out! He pulled him over to the heel corner, and they keep him isolated by going after the neck. Love helped to distracted Storm and the ref, leading to some cheap shots, and even the ref missing a hot tag at one point. Rhino tried the Gore, but Storm jumped over and hit a big lariat! Rhino tagged in Shelley, and… Shelley ran over and knocked AJ off the apron! DDT to Storm! ONE … TWO … THRE - Storm kicked out! Shelley lined up for a Superkick, but Styles got in the ring! As the ref forced him out, Rhino took a cheap shot! Storm tried the Eight Second Ride on Shelley, but he punched at his neck to float over! SHELLSHOCK! ONE … TWO … THREE, and Shelley wins without ever being in the ring with AJ Styles!
Winners via pinfall: Alex Shelley/Rhino (10:58)

Shelley celebrated in the ring, and then with his X-Division Championship. Xplosion GM Kevin Nash then came out and said that Shelley’s victory tonight officially solidified him as the champion to main event Bound For Glory! Impact GM Booker T came out and obviously disagreed, saying that this running stunt that Shelley has been pulling over the last few weeks is just stupid now, and obviously AJ Styles would be the champion to main event Bound For Glory. They argued briefly, but then DIXIE CARTER~ came out. She said that there is really only one option that will please both sides, and so the main event of Bound For Glory VII would be… AJ STYLES VS ALEX SHELLEY!

Three big matches tonight: Danielson vs Strong, Ravarian vs 2CN, and a main event of Storm vs Harris in a Texas Death Match! At the guest host position tonight, Texas Death Match expert, TERRY FUNK!

So yeah, winner gets Collyer for the TV Title next week. Collyer was seen watching from the back.

Match 1: Bryan Danielson vs Roderick Strong
When Danielson kept dominating Strong on the mat, Roddy lit him up with chops! Danielson tried to come back with big elbows, but Strong dodged around and kept it quick with his sharp chops. Danielson started going after the arm, and it neutralized Strong’s chops, so he had much more success. He roughed him up on the mat now, but stayed clean. Strong held his own at first, but Danielson got sort of aggressive with the arm work to throw him down. Roddy started throwing elbows, so Danielson threw him off with a Belly to Belly! ONE … TWO … THR - Strong kicked out! Danielson quickly tried to put in the LeBell Lock, but Strong scurried to the ropes and pulled himself to the outside. Danielson ran off the ropes and faked a Tope Suicida, but it made Strong scramble. Danielson rushed to the apron and ran off with a FLYING HIGH KNEE!

--Commercial Break--

Danielson mostly dominated now, and Strong really didn’t know his offense or have much of a path to get any sort of advantage. He just had to survive Danielson’s offense, which he did fairly well. He got a few counters in, which formed the based of his comebacks. Danielson kept going back to the arm to slow him down. Roddy did block a German Suplex and started raging with knees. He tried one off the second-rope, but Danielson pulled his legs out and tried to put him in the Lion Tamer! Strong pulled him out though and locked in the STRONG HOLD! Danielson struggled, but finally broke a leg free and kicked at Strong’s arm to break free! Danielson tried the Eagle-Plex, but Strong floated over! He tried the Strong Backbreaker, but Danielson took him down into the LEBELL LOCK! He couldn’t get it locked in though, and Strong elbowed away. He rolled to his feet, right into the EAGLE-PLEX! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Bryan Danielson (13:04)

Danielson celebrated in the ring, and Strong shook his hand. Commentary reiterated that now Danielson gets to face Collyer next week for the TV Title, but if he fails, then Strong gets him the next week.

Match 2: Monty Brown vs Lance Hoyt w/ Don West & Matt Morgan [BFG Rewind -- 2005]
Lots of clubbering. When Hoyt realized that he couldn’t overpower Monty, he started to up the speed somewhat. But then Monty pulled out his Jumping Shoulderblock, and then hit the Alpha Bomb to win.
Winner via pinfall: Monty Brown (2:41)

Monty celebrated in the ring, but Christian Cage wheeled himself out to the stage. He said that his injuries were worse than he expected, so he was going forward with the suit against Monty Brown, and he would hear from his superior Canadian lawyer next week!

--Commercial Break--

TJ Perkins and Kenny King were backstage, and TJ was very distraught about Scott Lost quitting. Kenny said they could still form a great tag team, but TJ just walked off.

The New Guns were seen watching from the back, but Bailout came down to watch for themselves.

Match 3: 2 Crazy Negroes vs Ravarian w/ Daffney
Ravarian tried to target Lethal’s knee like they had success with like two months ago, but he mostly avoided it this time. Lethal looked pretty dominant here, bumping around both emos, and coming in to save Creed from being targeted. They tried to double-team Lethal, but he sent Rave out with a dropkick and planted Creed with a Springboard Back Elbow going into the break.

--Commercial Break--

Rave and Lethal had a good back-and-forth coming back, but when Creed tried to follow up, Rave trapped him in his corner. Isolation~! Kaz tried an early Fade to Black, but Creed body dropped away! Kaz tagged to Rave, who tried a running neckbreaker, but Creed threw him off with a monkey flip! HOT TAG TO LETHAL! He came right in with a Springboard Clothesline to Rave! He followed up with some dropkicks, and then caught a charging Kaz with a big running crossbody! He stood up, and Rave grabbed him from behind for a SITOUT PUMPHANDLE SLAM! ONE … TWO … THR - Lethal kicked out! Rave and Kaz pounced on him, but Creed came in and threw Kaz out! PLANCHA! Rave tried the All of Rave on Lethal, but he spun through and reversed it right into a DRAGON SUPLEX! He climbed up top and came off with the LETHAL ELBOW! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: 2 Crazy Negroes (11:45)

The Negroes celebrated in the ring and motioned for the belts. Bailout stood up and held their titles in the air, but the New Age Machineguns came out too and faced off!

--Commercial Break--

Another sit-down Shelley/Nash interview played. Shelley talked about the chance to finally face AJ Styles at Bound For Glory, and how it is the opportunity he has been waiting for to prove himself the best. He did say that he was unsure whether or not it would be the World Title for not, but that was not his concern. Being that the X-Division Championship is the most prestigious belt in the world, he promised fans of his, the Xplosion, and the X-Division that he would not compete unless his championship was on the line.

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Rhett Titus vs Viktor Koslov w/ The Axis Powers
Mostly a showcase for Koslov. Schulz again almost cost Koslov the match, but Koslov shot back with a big lariat. He locked in the Moscow Cloverleaf, and Titus tapped.
Winner via submission: Viktor Koslov (2:59)

The Axis Powers celebrated in the ring, but Koslov scowled at Schulz.

--Commercial Break--

Match 5: James Storm vs Chris Harris [Texas Death Match]
Storm rushed right in with punches, and it quickly became a brawl. Wild stuff around the floor, and Storm quickly introduced a beer bottle. Harris knocked it away though and tackled Storm into the crowd area! More fighting, and then Storm busted Harris open with a steel chair! We’ll be back!

--Commercial Break--

More of a very 24/7 Hardcore-style match. Storm mostly dominated, including fighting off some interference from the Tennessee Titans. Harris tried to fight Storm into a pair of handcuffs, but he chucked him into the corner and then nailed him with the beer bottle! Storm pinned, but Harris started to get to his feet around eight, so Storm pulled him up for the EYE OF THE STORM ON THE BROKEN GLASS! He pinned, and Harris was counted down!
Winner: James Storm (10:30)

James Storm celebrated in the ring after a brutal battle. He returned up the ramp to pose on the stage, but when he turned around, JEFF JARRETT BASHED HIM IN THE SKULL WITH THE GUITAR! Xplosion ended as Jarrett held up his guitar over a knocked out Storm.
