Commentary (with Eric Young) welcomed us to the show, highlighted by Joe/Homicide vs The Young Bucks, Hernandez vs 2CN, and London vs Rhino in the main event.

Match 1: Elix Skipper vs Frankie Kazarian w/ Jimmy Rave
Skipper brought tons of hate, and Kaz kept having to roll to the outside to escape. Rave of course got involved, and Skipper didn’t hesitate to take both guys out. Kaz finally took over after Rave snuck in a high kick, and Rave was just as aggressive. Skipper finally came back with big punches, but Rave tripped him up, and he stumbled into the Wave of the Future to steal the win.
Winner via pinfall: Frankie Kazarian (6:12)

Kaz started stomping at Skipper and then began to choke at him! The ref tried to pull him off, but Kaz was going nuts. Finally Rave climbed in and pulled him off, but Kaz pushed him, and then went to the back by himself.

--Commercial Break--

Samoa Joe/Homicide vs Petey Williams/Tyson Dux hype.

Match 2: Samoa Joe/Homicide vs The Young Bucks
Showcase for the faces. Joe clearly enjoyed killing more than somebody should have. Chimera-Plex/Frog Splash Combination won it.
Winners via pinfall: Samoa Joe/Homicide (3:12)

Joe and Homicide celebrated in the ring.

Kiyoshi was backstage and he welcomed his tag partners the returning NO LIMIT! YEAH!

Rhino and Love were talking, and apparently Shelley isn’t here tonight due to his paranoia that Strong will cash in on him.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: The Axis Powers vs Kiyoshi/No Limit
EXTREME ASIAN WRESTLING. Fun high-flying by the faces, but Schulz was the powerhouse to get Naito down. They all isolated him, but he used weird jap-o-neez flying to tag to Kiyoshi. He cleaned up and nearly had Koslov for the win, but he bitched out to Magnus, who walked right into the Lightning Flash! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Kiyoshi/No Limit (5:29)

The Japs celebrated in the ring, but the Powers attacked! They started beating them down, but the faces fought back and sent the heels packing!

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Paul London was with Lauren. He said that Alex Shelley was a coward, and probably insane, and he beat the shit out of him, and then put his best friend out of commission. And so tonight, he’s going to take out his bodyguard, and then at Sacrifice he’ll take his X-Division title, and then to celebrate, he’ll get it on with his hot as shit girlfriend, because he knows she wants it.

Backstage, Strong cut a promo saying that Shelley should be paranoid, because he’s coming for the X-Division Title!

Sean Hernandez went to Booker T’s office and said he knew he was going to kick Lethal and Creed’s asses tonight, and he wanted a bigger challenge. Booker said that he might just have a match in mind for him for Sacrifice. Maybe.

--Commercial Break--

Matt Morgan came down to ringside.

Match 4: Chad Collyer vs Sean Morley [Non-Title]
Solid mat stuff at the start. Morley went for the arm, but Collyer went for his in return. Collyer started throwing him around, but some cheap moves let Morley get in solid offense. Collyer came back with his signature suplexes, and put in the Crossface Chickenwing to get the submission.
Winner via submission: Chad Collyer (4:29)

Collyer celebrated in the ring with his title, but Morgan slid in and laid him out with the Carbon Footprint!

--Commercial Break--

Clips of the recent heat between Hernandez and 2CN played.

Match 5: Sean Hernandez vs 2 Crazy Negroes
Tons of close nearfalls and stuff for the Negroes, but Hernandez finally settled them down and grounded them both. After really tossing around both guys, he Speared Creed and hit him with the Border Toss to win!
Winner via pinfall: Sean Hernandez (131 – 0) (6:08)

Hernandez celebrated over both guys and posed some, BUT SCOTT STEINER CAME IN THROUGH THE CROWD! CROWBAR TO THE MIDSECTION! Steiner tried a Powerbomb, but Hernandez shoved him away and escaped up the ramp, and Steiner shouted that he’d see him on Sunday!

--Commercial Break--

Angelina Love came down with Rhino for the main event. Paul London came out in a singlet, and his tights were ridiculously stuffed! Yeah! He winked at Love on the way down, and she looked intrigued.

Match 6: Paul London vs Rhino w/ Angelina Love
London treated this like a comedy match at first completely worked around his unnatural bulge because nobody who still watched TNA also watches PWG, so it's fine. Rhino refused to lock up with it, but London finally used a DROP TOE HOLD~ to take him down and then toyed with him. Rhino started punching the shit out of him, and then threw him some. London DDT’ed out of a Spinebuster though, and hit a Standing Moonsault! ONE … TWO … THR – Rhino kicked out! London tried the Waffle Face, but Rhino powered out. He ran off for the Gore, but London ducked and hit a SUPERKICK! He climbed up top and got the SSP to win!
Winner via pinfall: Paul London (5:38)

London celebrated in the ring, and invited Love to come in, BUT ALEX SHELLEY RAN DOWN! He slid in and tackled London from behind! He started kicking at him, but London turned the tides and kicked him out of the ring. Shelley backed up the ramp, but Strong came down the ramp with his X-Scape briefcase! Shelley saw him and freaked out, and ran back toward the ring, but London was waiting for him! Shelley jumped the railing and escaped out the crowd with his title, and Rhino grabbed Love from staring at London, and they joined Shelley in his escape. Strong laughed on the stage, and London motioned for the title to close the show. WE’LL SEE YOU TOMORROW NIGHT!

Pre-Show
Richie Steamboat over Frankie Kazarian
Tyson Tomko over Seth Delay
Bryan Danielson/Roderick Strong over TJ Perkins/Scott Lost
Jimmy Rave over Amazing Red

Tenay, Cornette, and Taz welcomed us to the show and ran down the card.

Hype package played for the following match, with Petey/Dux constantly skirting away.

Match 1: Samoa Joe/Homicide vs Petey Williams/Tyson Dux [Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders Match]
Petey and Dux attacked at the bell, but the hard-hitting faces quickly turned it around. The heels really got bumped around a bunch and couldn’t mount anything, so they tried to bail. Joe and Homicide both waved them “goodbye,” and they remembered the #1 contendership on the line, so they came back. They FINALLY isolated Homicide with double-teaming and whatnot, and they worked the back a lot. They had builds to the hot tag, and when he finally got it, Samoa Joe exploded and cleaned house. Some nearfalls later, Joe hit Petey with the Muscle Buster, and then Homicide finally got his revenge and pinned him with the Frog Splash.
Winners via pinfall and #1 contenders to the TNA Tag team Championships: Samoa Joe/Homicide (8:02)

Samoa Joe and Homicide celebrated in the ring and signaled for the belts!

AJ Styles and Low Ki arrived backstage, TOGETHER!

Match 2: Chad Collyer[c] vs Matt Morgan [TNA Television Championship]
Collyer got too overconfident on the mat, and Morgan took over with his power. Morgan mostly controlled, but Collyer softened up the arm and neck when he could. He finally put it in when reversing out of the Hellevator, but Morgan drove him into the corner to get out. He tried for the Carbon Footprint, but Collyer ducked and grabbed a roll-up! ONE … TWO … THRE – Morgan kicked out! He tried the Everest German, but Morgan slipped out and got a waistlock of his own. He tried a German, but Collyer slid around and got an O’Conner Roll! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall and still TNA Television Champion: Chad Collyer (6:12)

Collyer celebrated with his belt.

Sabin & Jacobs were backstage with the belts, and they talked about when they started tagging together, they found more success than they could have imagined, and it propelled them to winning the titles and retiring Booker T. They put over their chemistry in the ring and compared it to how Styles and Ki don’t get along, and they said that would be the difference-maker.

Big Koslov/Kiyoshi video played, with Kiyoshi finally turning on Koslov after like a year of putting up with his crap.

Match 3: Viktor Koslov vs Kiyoshi
Kiyoshi brought a lot of HATE~, and commentary put over how long he’s probably been waiting to beat Koslov up. Koslov came back with cheating, and after one comeback, Magnus ran down for a distraction. After Kiyoshi took him out with a Suicide Dive, then hit Koslov around some more in the ring, but Schulz ran down now! Kiyoshi tried to fight the numbers on the outside, but he got caught up in it all and turned into the Red Scare for the 1, 2, and 3.
Winner via pinfall: Viktor Koslov (6:24)

The Axis Powers celebrated to the back, and Kiyoshi got up pissed.

Backstage, Kurt Angle said that he hasn’t beat Roode yet, but he knows he can, and tonight he’d prove it.

Scott Steiner was backstage, and SEAN HERDEZ YOU R JUST A DUMB MESIKAN AND I WILL BEAT UR ASS. Commentary talked about all the problems Hernandez gave Steiner when he was interim GM, and then his attack on him at the Booker T Tribute Xplosion.

I NEED A HERO! Coming 5/19/11.

Match 4: New Age Machine Guns[c] vs AJ Styles/Low Ki [TNA Tag Team Championship]
The story here was that Styles and Ki completely took the champs by surprise by working fluidly together at the start. The nearly got the win a bunch of times, but the champs regrouped themselves and did a good divide and conquer. Communication issues between the challengers really made comebacks difficult, and even when they were cooperating fully, they didn’t have timing and stuff down, whereas Sabin and Jacobs worked like a well-oiled machine. After Low Ki was isolated for a bit, Styles got a big hot tag and cleaned up on both guys, looking pretty dominant himself. The numbers got to him, but Low Ki stepped up to help, and they started to work perfectly together under the pressure! They hit a double powerbomb on Jacobs, but he JUST kicked out! Styles pulled him up on his shoulder as Ki climbed up top, but Sabin pulled Low Ki down and to the floor! Jacobs got Styles with a Victory Roll! ONE … TWO … THR – Styles got out! Jacobs pulled him up and tried the Code 616, but Styles threw him off and hit his BIG Discus Lariat! He climbed to the outside for a springboard, but Sabin yanked him down and he crashed on the apron! Sabin rolled him in and Jacobs climbed up top! FLYNG BACK SENT –NO! Styles moved! Both guys stumbled up and Sabin slid into the ring. He tried a Superkick on Styles, but he ducked and turned RIGHT INTO A SPINNING BACKHAND FROM LOW KI! He flew into the ropes, and Styles dropkicked him to the outside! Jacobs ran over and tried to toss Low Ki out, but Styles pulled him back and hit the Rack Bomb! Low Ki pulled him up on his shoulders, and Styles went to the apron … SPRINGBOARD ELBOW SMASH DOOMSDAY DEVICE~! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall and NEW TNA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: AJ STYLES/LOW KI (16:34)

NEW CHAMPS! The ref brought in the title belts, and Styles and Ki strapped them on and celebrated. Sabin and Jacobs regrouped on the outside, and then rolled in together and looked upset, but shook hands, then left. Styles and Ki kept celebrating, and Styles went to hug Low Ki, but Ki just glared at him, so Styles backed off. But they did return to the back together.

Monty Brown was shown getting ready in the back. He looked at the camera, sniffed, and shouted, I SMELL AN ALPHABOMB.

Backstage, Robert Roode said that he’s got a great streak going with Kurt Angle, and a win here solidifies his spot as a – no, THE newest top dog in TNA.

Match 5: Sean Hernandez vs Scott Steiner
As soon as Hernandez got in the ring, Steiner tackled him to the ground! Yeah! He just threw wild punches and stuff and didn’t really protecting himself any, so Hernandez pretty easily beat him back. He started squashing him, but Steiner slid down from the Border Toss and hit a bunch of Steiner Lines, but Hernandez only went down to a knee, SO STEINER HIT A STANDING FRANKENSTEINER! ONE … TWO … THR – Hernandez kicked out! Steiner tried to put in the Steiner Recliner, but Hernandez stood up with it and countered with an Electric Chair Drop! Steiner kept nearly getting big moves off, but Hernandez kept powering out, and he eventually hit the Spear and Border Toss to win.
Winner via pinfall: Sean Hernandez (132 – 0) (6:16)

Hernandez celebrated in the ring and shouted that he demanded a TNA World Championship match.

Bryan Danielson was with Lauren, and he talked up pinning Christian Cage on Impact. He said he hopes Monty Brown wins tonight, but if Christian Cage does, he certainly deserves a World Title match.

Backstage, Alex Shelley said that he had held the X-Division Championship for 504 days, and it wasn’t about to be ended by Paul London.

Roode/Angle video, going over Roode constantly pinning Angle.

Match 6: Robert Roode vs Kurt Angle
Roode played a lot of mind games with Angle, and Angle could never shake him. Roode even kept him contained on the mat, so Angle tackled him out of the ring and they brawled on the outside. Angle actually showed promise by brawling, and he started knocking Roode around both on the inside and outside. Roode cut Angle off by going to the arm to stop the wild punches, but Angle used the other one for elbows, chops, European Uppercuts, straight punches, and he also threw in some kicks to the gut. Roode nearly got the win with the Northern Lariat, but Angle was too close to the ropes. He tried to end it with the Payoff, but Angle took him to the mat and put in the Ankle Lock! He couldn’t hold it with the arm though, and he had to let go. They went through a stretch of Angle continuously trying the Olympic Slam, but Roode always dodging it. Angle finally faked one and hit a German instead, then pulled Roode’s body up and tried it again, but Roode held his weight AND COUNTERED WITH A CRUCIFIX DRIVER! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Robert Roode (14:22)

Roode got up and celebrated, and when Angle got up, Roode hit him with the Northern Lariat for the hell of it! He celebrated over Angle’s body, and then to the back.

Christian Cage was backstage and said that he’s 37-years-old and it’s been a hell of a journey, and everybody thinks he’s getting ready to move on, but he’s not even close to being done yet. He said tonight starts the Instant Classic’s FOURTH World Title reign, because THAT’S how he rolls.

Hype stuff for Shelley/London. It hit on Shelley putting out Brian Kendrick and trying to do the same to London, and things getting so heated that their Lockdown match never happened because they wouldn’t stop brawling beforehand. It ended with London saying that he was glad that Shelley got to have his 500 Day Celebration, because now he gets to go down as the guy that toppled the

Match 7: Alex Shelley[c] vs Paul London [X-Division Championship – Title Defense #16]
Shelley asked for a lockup, but London charged at him and just started wailing! He really took it to the champion with big brawling, and it spilled to the floor where that continued. Shelley managed to shoved him knee-first into the steel steps, and he worked those over on the floor and then back in the ring. London managed to fight back with strikes, and then pulled out an Indy Exploder into the corner! He went after the back now with throws and stuff, and kept throwing him out of the ring to beat him around there some. Shelley kept trying to go back to the knees, but he couldn’t really get anything going, as London had him neutralized on the floor. Shelley finally got his lucky break when London missed an enzuigiri on the floor, and he kicked the ring post! He wrapped a modified leg bar around the post, and then went after the leg like crazy. London knew he was getting into trouble so he kept trying to get flash pinning combinations, but that just pissed off the champ even more. He locked in an STF and when London nearly got to the ropes, Shelley lunged forward and did the Joe thing where he went right to the Crossface! And he shouted that he’s BEST IN THE WOOOORLD. London got to the ropes, but Shelley pulled him back and tried the Shellshock, but London spun through. He tried a Superkick, but he collapsed on his own leg, and Shelley got an evil grin. He pulled Shelley up and smacked him around some, and talked some smack, then kicked at the leg. He tried another Shellshock, but London spun with him AND GOT A BACKSLIDE! ONE … TWO …. THRE – Shelley JUST kicked out! The champ jumped to his feet, RIGHT INTO A SUPERKICK! London collapsed on his leg, but pulled himself over and climbed up top! SHOOTING STAR PRES – NO! SHELLEY MOVED! He quickly came across and grabbed a La Magistral Cradle! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall and still X-Division Champion: Alex Shelley (14:01)

Shelley JUST got the win! He celebrated with his X-Division Championship, and Love met him at the ramp to make out. London regrouped and looked very upset.

Sean Hernandez was in the back, and he said that he better fucking get a TNA World Title shot now.

The Enlightened was backstage, and Chris Daniels talked about how it was his destiny to win the TNA Championship. He said that his destiny fought through the rise-and-fall of both Monty Brown and Christian Cage, and he wouldn’t let either of them take back the thrown that he earned.

Backstage, Samoa Joe and Homicide said that they sure were gonna have a hell of a fight over those tag team belts with Styles and Low Ki, and they were looking forward to it. But Sabin/Jacobs walked up and said that they still had to cash in their rematch clause to win the belts back, so that match would be with THEM, not Styles/Ki.

BOUND FOR GLORY VII. OCTOBER 9, 2011. NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK. HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM.

HYPE VIDEO~.

Match 8: Christopher Daniels[c] vs Monty Brown vs Christian Cage [TNA World Championship]
Cage and Daniels kept trying to work the same strategy of sitting out while the other got bumped around, but that kept leaving Monty with nobody to kill, so he went after them both. For a while he was successful, but eventually it de facto turned into a 2-on-1, and he got worn down. Daniels and Cage had a back-and-forth that was seemingly built upon who could out-cheat the other. The answer was Christian. Daniels actually had to start trying to wrestle Christian, and he did a fine job, but soon Monty was back to killing them both. The pattern continued with Monty out-powering both guys separately, but falling victim to double-teaming. Eventually Monty was really out of it, and Daniels had him alone, so he hit the Last Rites, but Monty kicked out at two! Daniels immediately got up and went for the BEST! MOONSAULT! EV – No! Christian was on the apron and shoved him to the outside! Christian climbed up top! FROG SPLASH! He’s gonna steal it! ONE … TWO … THRE – MONTY KICKED OUT! Christian couldn’t believe it! He regrouped and tried the Unprettier, but Monty shoved him away and caught him coming back with the ALPHA BOMB! ONE … TWO … THRE – Daniels dove to save his title! He stomped at Monty’s neck and pulled him up for the Angel’s Wings, but Monty body dropped away! He pulled him up for the Alpha Bomb, but Daniels wiggled his way out and grabbed a rollup! ONE … TWO … THRE – Monty got out! Daniels yanked him up and tried the Last Rites again, but Monty shoved him off the ropes AND CAUGHT HIM COMING BACK WITH THE POUNCEEEEEE~~~~~~~~~~~! PERIOD~! ONE … TWO … THRE – Christian pulled Monty to the outside! He covered Daniels! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall and NEW TNA WORLD CHAMPION: CHRISTIAN CAGE! (15:02)

Christian immediately rolled out and grabbed the TNA Championship and held it up. Monty got up and realized what happened, and he was irate. Daniels got up and flipped a shit and started screaming and nearly crying. Cage just laughed as he celebrated up the ramp, having outsmarted them both.

A replay of the big stuff from Slammiversary played, and then it went to Tenay, Cornette, and … TAZZ at the booth?! The other two welcomed him to the Impact announce team, and he said he’d be pulling double duty from now on with both Impact and Xplosion.

5 … 4 … 3 … 2 … 1 … NEW TNA World Champion Christian Cage came out to start the live show, and he got on the mic to cut a promo about how he’s still got it, and he proved everybody wrong by showing that he’s still the Instant Classic around here. He said that he’s heard rumblings of a New Generation rising up in TNA, but guys like Low Ki, Alex Shelley, Monty Brown, and Sean Hernandez would just have to wait in line while Captain Charisma was still going at it. Christian said that everybody brags about being a “fighting†champion, but he’s going to be a smart champion, which is so much better, because then you can’t lose the World Championship 2 days later.

He started to leave, BUT BRYAN DANIELSON CAME OUT. He rolled footage of him pinning Christian Cage last week on Impact and said that he wanted a shot at that belt. Christian said absolutely not, though maybe he could try to earn a shot at a #1 contender’s match for the TV Title. GM Booker T came out though and said that Christian and Danielson have a lot of history, but we’ve never gotten a definitive one-on-one match between them, and tonight for the World Championship seems like a perfect opportunity! Christian flipped out and said that if anything, Chris Daniels should get his rematch before he faces Danielson, so Booker T said that he guessed Christian had a lot of defending to do, but tonight, it’d be Danielson SUCKA. Danielson put on his big babyface smile, but Christian turned to hit him with the title, BUT DANIELSON TOOK HIM DOWN INTO THE LEBELL LOCK! Christian was near to the ropes and he rolled out of the ring to safety, and backed up with his World Title in his arms.

Commentary reacted to Christian Cage vs Bryan Danielson tonight, along with Collyer/Strong vs The Redcoats, Monty Brown vs Frankie Kazarian, and the new tag team champs in action.

--Commercial Break--

ARIBA~!

Match 1: Sean Hernandez vs Tito Santana
Tito tried to go to the arm, but Hernandez CHUCKED him off, and he flew to the outside! He came back in and ducked a clothesline and HIT THE FUCKING TITO FLYING FOREARM YES! He tried another, but Tito caught him and nailed a Spear to win.
Winner via pinfall: Sean Hernandez (133 – 0) (1:07)

Hernandez grabbed a microphone and demanded a TNA World title match, and he said he wouldn’t take “no†for an answer.

Team Canada was having a meeting backstage, and firstly, Christian congratulated himself on winning the Big One, again. He told Roode he did a good job against Angle, and he told Petey and Dux to step it up. Young asked who made him boss, and Christian said the World Title did.

--Commercial Break--

Don West arrived in the back and apologized to some stagehands for being late, and that he was hurrying to the announce booth. Road Agent D’LO BROWN~ told him that he had been replaced at commentary, and he looked like he was going to cry.

Match 2: Robert Roode/Tyson Dux vs No Limit
Roode and Dux blended well, and Dux continued his quest to become higher up in Team Canada than Petey Williams. He was not as proficient as Roode though, and the Japs kept almost pinning him, so Roode would have to come in to clean up. He hit the Roode Awakening, but he let Dux get back in and hit his NOTB Brainbuster on Naito to win.
Winners via pinfall: Robert Roode/Tyson Dux (3:45)

They both got up and celebrated, and Roode grabbed a mic. He said that he’s proven he’s a far superior athlete than Kurt Angle, and it’s time for him to move on.

--Commercial Break--

I NEED A HERO! Coming 5/19/11.

Chris Sabin and Jimmy Jacobs were in the back with Lauren to hype their rematch for the belts next week. Sabin said that when they won the titles from Booker T and retired him, he gave his word that they’d treat the titles with the utmost respect, and the first step was getting the back. Jacobs said that they knew Styles and Low Ki were great singles competitors, but they weren’t ready for them to be a gelled tag team; but now they’re expecting it, and they’re fully prepared to shut it down.

Don West came down to the booth and started screaming at them for replacing him! He called Tenay a backstabber, but some officials came out to walk him to the back.

Commentary said that they received word that Christopher Daniels was not here tonight because he was simply not in the right state of mind.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong vs The Redcoats
Back-and-forth, and the Redcoats seemed to step up competitively. Doug Williams especially was super on with Collyer, and he worked the knee brutally. Strong and Collyer traded back work some, and Collyer and Taylor traded arm stuff. Collyer tried to put in the Crossface Chickenwing, but Taylor chucked him off with the British Suplex! Williams came in and tried the Chaos Theory, but Collyer threw him off. He tried the hot tag, but Taylor distracted the ref and he didn’t see the tag. Williams then got a roll up on Collyer with tights to get a surprise win!
Winners via pinfall: The Redcoats (7:22)

Williams and Taylor celebrated their semi-upset in the ring.

AJ Styles and Low Ki arrived with their tag titles in the back, and Styles shouted at the camera that the New Age Mega Power Foundation Boyz were in the house.

--Commercial Break--

A pre-tape interview played where Joe and ‘Cide said that they were going to win the tag titles, no matter who were champs after next week.

Match 4: Samoa Joe w/ Homicide vs Max Buck w/ Jeremy
Showcase for Joe to kill a small guy. Max kicked out of a Samoan Drop, so Joe pulled his head off the mat and punched him in the face, then pinned him to win.
Winner via pinfall: Samoa Joe (1:49)

Joe and Homicide celebrated in the ring and signaled for the titles.

Kurt Angle was backstage with Lauren, and he said he NEEDED to beat Robert Roode. He said that he’s been toying with retirement now for a while, but he’s got to do it on his terms, and not having been beaten time and time again by a blueblood snot-nosed punk.

--Commercial Break--

Footage from Lockdown played of AJ Styles and Low Ki winning the tag titles. Commentary talked some about how this partnership came about due to the intense competition between both guys, and a gained mutual respect. They said that nobody doubts their individual skill, but whether or not they can coexist as a unit long-term has yet to be seen.

Match 5: AJ Styles/Low Ki vs TJ Perkins/Scott Lost w/ Kenny King [Non-Title]
I assume I’d like to see this irl. Pretty much a showcase for the champions, but they had biiiig communication issues at points. Still, they won when Styles had Lost on his shoulders and Ki came in with a Springboard Roundhouse Doomsday Device~!
Winner via pinfall: AJ Styles/Low Ki (4:54)

The champs celebrated with their belts, but commentary wondered if they could recreate their Sacrifice performance next week and get along well enough to retain against Sabin/Jacobs in the rematch.

--Commercial Break--

Ravarian and Daffney came out before Kaz’s match and said that they wanted to extend their condolences to Christopher Daniels, who couldn’t make it tonight due to being mentally incapable of showing up. Daffney said that he’d be back next week, and she begged the fans to give him the warm welcome he has always deserved, because he probably can’t take anymore booing, or else he’d snap.

Match 5: Monty Brown vs Frankie Kazarian w/ Jimmy Rave & Daffney
Monty was PISSED here after Sunday. Just super aggressive on Kaz, and when he tried a horrible-looking spin kick, so Monty no-sold it and killed him with an Alpha Lariat. He flipped him inside out with a Jumping Shoulderblock. He hit the POUNCE~~~~~~~! Period. And then he said he smelled an Alpha Bomb, so he used one and finally ended it.
Winner via pinfall: Monty Brown (1:50)

Monty celebrated in the ring, but Rave slid in to kick at his leg. Monty powered him off though, but Daffney caused a distraction. They kept going at his leg, but Monty powered them away and ran them off. He then got on the mic and shouted in Afrikan that he wanted the World Title.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary talked up the TNA tour around the country, topped off by Bound For Glory in New York City.

Jeremy Borash did formal introductions.

Match 6: Christian Cage[c] w/ Tyson Tomko vs Bryan Danielson [TNA World Championship]
Christian actually did take Danielson seriously here, and commentary pointed out that whenever guys don’t, Danielson seems to surprise them. So yeah, Christian played the more cunning veteran heel, and he cheated a ton just to make sure he couldn’t get going much. Danielson finally scored with some big elbows, so Christian rolled outside. Danielson went for the Tope Suicida, but Tomko moved to stand in front of Christian! Danielson tried to punch at him, but Christian snuck back in and grabbed a roll-up! ONE … TWO … THRE - Danielson kicked out AND TURNED IT RIGHT INTO THE LEBELL LOCK! Christian was close to the ropes to break the hold, and then he low bridged Danielson out going into a commercial.

--Commercial Break--

Christian kept the challenger mostly controlled, but Danielson kept getting flurries that pissed off Christian, so Tomko would get involved at points to slow him down. When he could, Danielson kept targeting Christian’s arm to soften it for the Lock, but Christian made sure to stay near to the ropes when he did his beating, which got progressively more aggressive as Cage grew more and more impatient with being unable to put him down. He finally just went for the Unprettier, but Danielson slipped out from the weak arm AND HIT AN RKO! Nah, lol jk. But, yeah he did do big roundhouse to the back of the head. ONE … TWO … TH - Cage kicked out! Danielson pulled him up and tried the Eagle-Plex, but Christian flipped through. He came off the ropes, but Danielson took him down for the LeBell Lock again! He couldn’t lock it in and they struggled for a while, SO DANIELSON GRABBED THE OTHER ARM AND PUT IN THE CATTLE MUTILATION! HE HAS IT WON! But Christian’s legs were still by the ropes and he had the hold broken again! Danielson almost couldn’t believe that he pulled out his big move for the big match and it barely didn’t work. He regrouped himself and pulled Christian up again, BUT CHRISTIAN HIT THE UNPRETTIER! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall and still TNA World Champion: Christian Cage (12:45)

Christian Cage got up and celebrated with his title. The rest of Team Canada came out to join him, and they all celebrated together to close the show.

Taz and Nash welcomed us to the show, and Nash congratulated Taz on his new monopoly on TNA broadcast teams. Both Young Bucks joined them at the booth tonight. Tonight’s card: Los Infernales vs Perkins/Lost, a Matt Morgan squash, and Roderick Strong vs Paul London in the main event.

Match 1: Matt Morgan vs Seth Delay
This was a Matt Morgan squash. AT LEAST IT AIN’T CRIMSON, AMIRITE?!
Winner via pinfall: Matt Morgan (0:34)

Sabin and Jacobs were backstage, and Bailout walked up. They told them to watch real talent, with Burke’s match next.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Amazing Red vs Elijah Burke w/ Davey Richards
Burke stuck a headlock for a while, but Red whipped out some arm drags to throw him off, AND THEN A MONKEY FLIP YEAH I LOVE THOSE! He bumped Burke around a bit, but he tried a tilt-a-whirl, and Burke countered into a backbreaker! He worked over the midsection, and whipped out some kidney punches, and then a big Uppercut! ONE … TWO … THR – Red kicked out! Burke pulled him up and tried the Bankrupt Bomb, but Red used the Kidman Counter! He flew around some, and got off the Hurricanrana Driver! ONE … TWO … THRE – Burke got a shoulder up! Red went up top for the Infrared, but Burke moved! BANRKUPT BOMB! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Elijah Burke (7:30)

Bailout celebrated to the back.

--Commercial Break--

Bailout found Sabin and Jacobs in the back again, and Burke said that money can’t buy you class, but it can obviously buy you talent. He said that they would step up into the void that Sabin/Jacobs left in the tag ranks. Jacobs looked poised to attack, but Sabin held him back.

Viktor Koslov came out and said that now that he has done away with that horrible Japanese Kiyoshi, the Axis Powers have an opening for a new Jap. And so he’ll have a Japanese Invitational here on Xplosion over the next week to see who can beat him, and that person is in the Axis Powers. First, Naito of No Limit!

Match 3: Viktor Koslov w/ Axis Powers vs Naito w/ Yujiro
Naito flew around some, but Koslov grounded him after a bit. He had a brief comeback, but Koslov powerbombed him, and then put in the Moscow Cloverleaf.
Winner via submission: Viktor Koslov (3:21)

Koslov, Magnus, and Schulz celebrated in the ring.

--Commercial Break--

Paul London came to the announce booth and first of all told Nash that it’s very inconvenient to have to come to ringside to talk to the X-Division Chancellor. But anyway, he’d like another X-Division Title match, given that Shelley cheated at Sacrifice. Nash said he’d consider it.

Match 4: Los Infernales vs TJ Perkins/Scott Lost w/ Kenny King
The luchas came right in and ran stuff, and mostly bumped the heels around. Scott really got pinballed, so TJ rushed in, but a pair of Stereo Dropkicks sent them to the outside. They followed up with Stereo Planchas to send it to the break.

--Commercial Break--

The luchas kept dominating, but Lost made a blind tag, and when Averno tried a hurricanrana on TJ, he held his weight, and Lost ran up and yanked him off with a nasty falling neckbreaker! They isolated Averno for quite a bit, and when he almost made the hot tag, King ran around and pulled Mephisto off the apron behind the ref’s back! In the ring, Averno stumbled back into the Puma Buster! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: TJ Perkins/Scott Lost (10:06)

Perkins, Lost, and King celebrated in the ring.

Alex Shelly, Rhino, and Angelina Love were in the back. Lauren walked up and wanted an interview, but Shelley said he’d only do it if Lauren and Angelina would make out. Angelina looked way into it, but Lauren just left.

--Commercial Break--

Kiyoshi cut a promo backstage about how Koslov is disrespectful or something.

The 2 Crazy Negroes were in the back, complaining to each other about not being able to deliver as a team anymore. Lethal said he had never been as embarrassed as he was when they lost their handicap match to Hernandez, and Creed said they needed to shake things up.

Jeremy Borash came up to Shelley, Rhino, and Love now. Shelley started to say something about Borash and Rhino, but changed his mind. He gave a brief interview and basically said he was frustrated because he’s trying to prove he’s the best in the world, but guys like Paul London are horrible competitors that he’s able to beat way too easily.

--Commercial Break--

At commentary, Kevin Nash said that this match could very well have title implications, but that he was making no promises.

Match 5: Paul London vs Roderick Strong
They had some good mat stuff, and London seemed to underestimate Strong going into it. He started driving knees into London’s back when he could, which really pissed London off. London started throwing some clean elbows, but Roddy lit him up with chops! London finally ducked some one and slowed him down. But before he could settle into a rhythm, Strong clotheslined him to the outside and followed up with a SUICIDE DIVE!

--Commercial Break--

They kept going at it, and London had a slight edge in a back and forth, but it was fairly even. London started to slow down when Strong got a good amount of back work in, but when Strong tried the Strong Backbreaker, London elbowed out and hit a Falling DDT! ONE … TWO … THR – Strong kicked out! London started flying some more to get some good nearfalls, but Shelley and Love came down! London got distracted, and Strong got a Back Cracker! ONE … TWO … THR – London kicked out! Strong tried to put in the Stronghold, but London shoved away and hit a big heel kick. He flew around some more, and Shelley told Love to go take care of this problem, so Love went to the apron AND TRIPPED UP RODERICK! He stumbled into a Superkick! Shelley yelled at Love for tripping the wrong guy, but London winked at Love as he went up top. Shelley jumped up on the apron to distracted London, and it let Strong got up and hit a SUPER LUNGBLOWER! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Roderick Strong! (13:08)

Shelley escaped up the ramp, and Strong celebrated in the ring. London got up and told Strong what happened, and he looked up at Shelley pissed. Nash stood up from the booth and congratulated Roderick Strong, and said that because of his completely clean win tonight, he’d get a title match with Alex Shelley NEXT WEEK! London looked pissed, Strong looked excited, and Shelley just held up his title confidently to close the show.

Commentary (again, that’s Tenay, Cornette, and Taz) ran down tonight’s card: Danielson vs Tomko, Chris Hero’s debut, and Styles/Low Ki vs Sabin/Jacobs in the main event.

Footage from last week played of The Redcoats beating Collyer/Strong.

Match 1: Roderick Strong w/ Chad Collyer vs Doug Williams w/ Dave Taylor
They mostly did mat stuff and it was pretty respectful, but Williams randomly started exploding with his stiff knees, and then chucking Strong out to Taylor and stuff. At one point, Doug distracted the ref while Dave kicked Strong’s head into the ring steps to make him totally loopy. Collyer ran over and attacked Taylor, so the ref ejected them both. Williams had a very woozy Strong in the ring going into the first break.

--Commercial Break--

They worked up the wooziness a bunch, but Strong had short bursts of strikes, only to then collapse and have to take his time getting back up. That made it hard to put together any sort of offense, so he started to target the leg so that he’d always have something to chip away at. Eventually Doug’s leg really started to slow down, so Strong put in the Stronghold! Williams eventually got to the ropes, and he rolled to the outside. He took his time recovering, and he kept his eyes on Strong to prevent a Tope Suicida. But, wtf? Alex Shelley snuck down to ringside, and he climbed into the ring! SHELLEY BASHED STRONG IN THE BACK OF THE SKULL WITH HIS TITLE! The ref saw it happen and called the match.
Winner via disqualification: Roderick Strong (10:28)

Alex Shelley escaped through the crowd holding his X-Title, and commentary plugged his title match against Roddy on Xplosion. Williams climbed back in and beat at Strong, but Collyer ran down run him out. He checked on Strong, and Williams challenged him to put his title on the line next week, and Collyer accepted!

A big AJ Styles/Low Ki hype video played. Then a pre-taped played where AJ talked about how he and Low Ki are objectively probably the two best wrestlers in the world today, and slowly but surely they’re becoming the best tag team too.

--Commercial Break--

Richie Steamboat and Tito Santana were seen talking in the back.

Christopher Daniels came out to the Impact Zone and went off on a long-winded, semi-incoherent tirade about being held back even after NINE YEARS~. Christopher Daniels came out to the Impact Zone and went off on a long-winded, semi-incoherent tirade about being held back even after NINE YEARS~. He BEGGED the fans to show him respect that he’s earned after so long, but they booed him and he flipped out. He said, fine, he didn’t need their help; he’d win back the World Title on his own just like he did the first time. GM Booker T came out and said that he had already signed Daniels’ rematch. Daniels said he looked forward to winning back his title at Slammiversary for the entire world to see, but Booker said he actually signed it for this Saturday on Xplosion, lol. Daniels flipped out some more, but Booker T told him not to worry because he had a match tonight … AGAINST MONTY BROWN! Daniels flipped out more, and yeah.

--Commercial Break--

Kurt Angle was backstage, and he talked to Lauren about how he needs to beat Roode to prove that he’s still one of the best in the world.

Match 2: Sean Hernandez vs Elix Skipper
Skipper rushed in with some quick jabs, and did a bunch of dodging to get away from Hernandez strikes. He tried some kicks too, but Hernandez caught one and chucked him to the side. He beat at his leg a bunch, and then hit the Crackerjack. He followed up with the Spear and got the win.
Winner via pinfall: Sean Hernandez (135 – 0) (3:09)

Hernandez grabbed a microphone, and he said that he better get a title shot soon, or else everybody would pay~.

I NEED A HERO! Coming later tonight! MAY 19TH! MAY 19TH! THE VOICES! HE’S COMING! IT’S HERE!! THE HERO IS COMINGGGGG!

--Commercial Break--

AJ Styles and Low Ki were backstage, and AJ said that everybody is talking about whether or not they can coexist as champions. He said that they’ve become great friends though, and AJ even invited him to re-watch LOST together this summer, so they’re set for tonight. Low Ki just rolled his eyes.

A vignette started and it showed a plate of bacon. It zoomed it and showed a guy eating the bacon and doing bicep curls AND HOLY SHIT IT’S JEFF JARRETT FUCK YEAH! He set down the weights and ate one last piece of bacon, and gave a big grin to the camera. HA HA HA OH AIN’T I GREAT, TNA?! I know you missed me! Don’t you worry though, because next week, I’ll be on Impact live and in person! NEXT WEEK! JEFF JARRETT! ON IMPACT! OH AIN’T HE GREAT?!

--Commercial Break--

Bryan Danielson and Chuck Taylor were hanging out backstage, and Danielson was upset over losing to Christian for the World Title last week. Chuck told him not to feel too bad, because he’s never won a match ever here. Danielson said he’d get a bit of revenge though by beating Tomko here tonight.

Match 3: Monty Brown vs Christopher Daniels w/ The Enlightened
Monty killed him until he bailed.
Winner via count out: Monty Brown (0:28)

Daniels kept backing up the ramp with the Enlightened, and Monty was pissed.

A Sabin/Jacobs hype video played, and then a pre-tape from them both. Sabin talked about how he and Jacobs are set to fill the void of dominant tag team in TNA, a mantle once held by LAX, Team 3D, or AMW. Jacobs said that there are very few multi-time tag team champs in TNA, and those that are, are considered among the elite of TNA’s amazing tag division history. Tonight, the New Age Machineguns win their second tag title and move up a rank in all-time rankings.

--Commercial Break--

Roode, Young, Dux, and Petey came out and talked some about how it’s a big deal that Team Canada now has it’s first World Championship within the stable. Petey pointed out that he had been X-Division Champion when he headed Team Canada, but everybody ignored them. Roode also expelled any rumors that any of them were jealous of Christian Cage, as they were indeed very proud. Petey said that he was personally going to step up his game to meet the new standards Christian has set, and he’d start by beating this new guy without any help from his stable, so they left. MAY 19TH! MAY 19TH!

I NEED A HERO!

Match 4: Chris Hero vs Petey Williams
Petey Pump tried to use his “power,” but Hero just laughed at him AND MURDERED HIM WITH A ROLLING ELBOW! He quickly pulled him up and hit the Hero’s Welcome to win.
Winner via pinfall: Chris Hero (1:08)

Hero celebrated a big first win in the feeration, and Petey couldn’t believe it. Roode came back out and helped Petey up, almost treating him like a kid. BUT KURT ANGLE RAN DOWN! He gunned for Roode and tackled him, but Petey came to help. They numbers sort of got to him, but Petey TURNED INTO A ROLLING ELBOW! Roode went to go after him, but Angle grabbed him from behind with an Olympic Slam! He tried to put in the Ankle Lock, but Roode scurried away and escaped up the ramp.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Monty Brown cut a crazy black promo about how Daniels can’t escape him forever. He also said that he was coming for the TNA World Championship, and that he’d become the Alpha Champion the next chance he gets.

Match 5: Bryan Danielson vs Tyson Tomko
Tomko jumped him right at the bell and beat him down some. He started to get lazy though, and Danielson came back with big elbows and then some kicks to the arm. He tried to put in the LeBell Lock, but Tomko drove him into the corner! He tried to follow up with TEH BEWT~, but Danielson ducked and grabbed a roll up! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Bryan Danielson (5:10)

Danielson hopped up and celebrated, and Tomko was pissed. Danielson jumped out of the ring, but Christian ran down and attacked him on the ramp! He stomped at him some, BUT MONTY BROWN RAN OUT! He punched at Christian, but the Enlightened ran down to attack both Monty and Christian! Tomko came to help Christian, but Danielson got involved too! A big brawl broke out with everybody gunning for the World Champion, but Christian barely escaped and backed up the ramp with his title.

--Commercial Break--

Bailout, Perkins/Lost, Los Infernales, 2 Crazy Negroes, No Limit, Petey/Young/Dux, Jihad, and the Young Bucks were seen watching the main event from what obviously must be the Tag Team Locker Room.

Samoa Joe and Homicide came down to watch from ringside.

Match 6: AJ Styles/Low Ki[c] vs New Age Machineguns [TNA Tag Team Championship]
Styles and Sabin randomly had a long segment by themselves, but Sabin eventually transitioned to include Jacobs and they isolated him right at the start. They generally worked him over in entirety, but when he blocked the Berzerker Drop and hit the Pele Kick, he got the hot tag! Low Ki raged with kicks and elbows, but he turned into a Superkick from Sabin! Jacobs threw AJ out of the ring and he and Sabin pulled Low Ki up for the VEG-O-MATIC! ONE … TWO … THRE - STYLES DOVE TO SAVE! The challengers had Low Ki down going into the break, and can he survive?!

--Commercial Break--

Yeah, he did survive during the break. More back-and-forth. Stereo Tope Suicidas from the champions sent it to another break.

--Commercial Break--

Styles and Ki finally managed to work together to work Jacobs and then Sabin, but neither one was really too dominant. Sabin and Jacobs got back to isolating Styles, and it was really on-point, teamwork-wise. SO IF YOU HAVEN’T GOTTEN THE PICTURE YET, SABIN/JACOBS ARE A WELL-OILED TEAM BUT STYLES/KI HAVE TO MAKE UP WITH THEIR TAG INEXPERIENCE BY BEING AWESOME ON THEIR OWN. Okay, so yeah, Styles was being isolated, but he escaped and got the hot tag to Low Ki! He cleaned house, and Styles joined in for some double murder. Styles went for the Discus Clothesline, but Sabin ducked, AND STYLES HIT LOW KI! JACOBS SUPERKICKED LOW KI! SABIN HELD AJ BACK! ONE … TWO … THRE - NO! Styles JUST dove to save! Sabin tackled Styles down and then through the ropes to the outside! Jacobs hopped on Low Ki with big elbows and tried to put in the Guillotine, BUT LOW KI COUNTERED AND PUT IN THE DRAGON CLUTCH! Sabin kept trying to get back in, but Styles held him back, and finally hit the Rack Bomb on the outside! Jacobs was stuck alone! Low Ki kept rearing back! JACOBS TAPPED!
Winners via submission and still TNA Tag Team Champions: Low Ki/AJ Styles (17:59)

Styles and Low Ki celebrated in the ring, and Styles went to hug Ki, but he got a glare, so he backed off. Sabin and Jacobs got up, and shook their hands. Styles and Ki celebrated with the belts in the ring, and Joe and Homicide stood up to stand off from the floor!

IN LOVING MEMORY OF “MACHO MAN” RANDY SAVAGE: 11/15/1952 - 5/20/2011

Commentary welcomed us to the program, and then brought out tonight’s guest host, Tito Santana! First of all, Tito said some stuff about Randy Savage, and he talked about wrestling him several times, including at MSG, and RIP and whatnot. For tonight though, two HUGE matches tonight: Cage vs Daniels for the TNA Championship, and Shelley vs Strong for the X-Division Championship in the main event!

London came down to ringside and again reiterated to Nash that it’s really annoying to have to come to the booth to talk to the X-Division Chancellor. But anyway, he again lobbied for a rematch with Shelley for the X-Title. Nash said he was certainly in line, but he did lose last week. London said it was BECAUSE of Shelley, and Nash said he’d consider it, but to go away because Viktor Koslov was wrestling.

Match 1: Viktor Koslov w/ Axis Powers vs Yujiro w/ Naito
Still pretty much a squash, but JAP-O-NEEZ flips happened and stuff. Koslov kicked him out of the air once and threw him around, then hit the Red Scare to get the pin.
Winner via pinfall: Viktor Koslov (3:01)

Koslov celebrated in the ring and said that he’s ready to go outside of TNA for a real Japanese replacement.

--Commercial Break--

Roderick Strong came down to ringside to talk to Chancellor Nash at the booth, and they talked some about his title match with Shelley tonight. Strong reaffirmed that this match doesn’t count as him cashing in his X-Scape clause, and Nash said that it indeed does not count. This is separate, and if Strong wins the belt tonight, then he won’t even have to cash in; but if he loses, he’ll still get another chance with his title shot. Strong was pumped, and said he’d be ready tonight.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary talked about the previous segment, and hyped up Shelley vs Strong for the title tonight. Nash also got super excited and said that he more or less runs things here on Xplosion, and so he was making sure that Shelley/Strong main evented over Cage/Daniels!

Match 2: Matt Morgan vs Ken Doane
Squash. Morgan won with his Hellevator.
Winner via pinfall: Matt Morgan (0:49)

Morgan celebrated in the ring, and the whole world wondered why he’s getting squash matches.

Shelley, Rhino, and Love were backstage talking about Strong. Shelley said he and Rhino were going to go get in gear for tonight and warm up, but for Love to make sure she was out there for the main event, and she said of course.

--Commercial Break--

Footage from Turning Point 2004 played of AJ Styles, Randy Savage, and Jeff Hardy defeating Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall.

Jay Lethal came out decked out in his Black Machismo get-up!

Match 3: 2 Crazy Negroes vs The Young Bucks
This was going to be used to progress a storyline, but nah. Still communication issues between the Negroes, but then Lethal cleaned up and hit the Diving Axe Handle and Savage/Lethal Elbow to win.
Winners via pinfall: 2 Crazy Negroes (4:09)

Lethal celebrated in the ring and did his Black Machismo deal, though Creed did look on jealously from the floor. Lethal started a “Macho Man!” chant before going to the back.

--Commercial Break--

Angelina Love was walking around backstage, and Paul London came up and thanked her trying to help him win last week. She said it was an accident and she was trying to trip him, then London said maybe they could trip each other some time. She looked confused, then turned and left.

Before the match, Steamboat Jr said that his father had always spoken the highest praises about Randy Savage, and so this match was dedicated to the Macho Man’s memory.

Match 4: Richie Steamboat vs Elijah Burke w/ Davey Richards
They went to the mat for a while, and Steamboat started to pick up the pace with arm rags and hip tosses! He started to fly around some, but Burke started to throw his punches to slow him down. He tried a big wind-up right hand, but Steamboat ducked and dropkicked him to the outside! He followed up with a plancha to take out both of Bailout!

--Commercial Break--

Steamboat was still bumping around the Pope, but Davey tripped him up, and Burke killed him with a Pimp Slap! ONE … TWO … THR - Steamboat got a shoulder up! Burke had him down though and contained him by going to the arm. He did some prying, but it was a bunch of his punches to the elbow and stuff. Steamboat finally got good momentum after a running crossbody, and then he went up top for a Missile Dropkick! ONE … TWO … THRE - Burke kicked out! Steamboat went up again for the Flying Crossbody, but Burke ducked! Bankrupt Bom - NO! Steamboat blocked it and pulled him into a small package! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Richie Steamboat (10:58)

Burke got up and couldn’t believe it! Steamboat got up to celebrate, but Burke tackled him down! Davey slid in and they attacked him, then laid him out with the Bankruptcy.

--Commercial Break--

Burke was still raging in the back, and Sabin and Jacobs walked up. They asked about that talent they were buying, and Burke flipped out. He asked with they should really be talking if they JUST lost their title rematch on Impact! Sabin attacked, and both teams brawled before security could break them up!

Match 5: Christian Cage[c] w/ Team Canada vs Christopher Daniels w/ The Enlightened [TNA World Championship]
This quickly turned into a backdrop for tons of shenanigans. It was essentially a backdrop to huge STABLE WARS~. Kaz, Rave, Daffney, Petey, Dux, and Tomko all got very heavily involved. A couple ref bumps happened, some belt shots, and eventually Young and Roode ran down to tip it to Team Canada’s favor, and Christian nailed Daniels with the Unprettier onto the belt to win.
Winner via pinfall and still TNA World Champion: Christian Cage (6:08)

Team Canada celebrated in the ring, but the Enlightened came back in to attack! More STABLE WARS~ for a while, but Monty Brown and Bryan Danielson ran out to join … and the two stables had a common goal! They worked together to beat Monty and Danielson down, and left them laying.

--Commercial Break--

Pre-tape interviews from both Styles/Ki and Joe/Homicide played where both teams built up their big tag title match. Styles said that they’ve finally proved they can gel as a tag team, ad so long as they’re together in this, they’re unstoppable. Joe said that the only counter to a tag team with two amazing individuals is a tag team with two even better individuals, and frankly, that’s what he and ‘Cide are, and he pointed out that AJ has still never beaten him one-on-one. Homicide spoke up and had some choice words for AJ Styles, calling him a phony and a fraud, and he said that Low Ki is a fool for associating with him.

Backstage, Alex Shelley said that tonight feels SOOO good, because FINALY the X-Division Championship is main eventing over the TNA Championship, just like it should have been for over 500 days now. He said that this has been his calling, and there’s no way he was going to lose the belt now that the Promised Land is within sight.

--Commercial Break--

The match was about to start, but Shelley made Jeremy Borash climb back into the ring to do formal introductions.

Match 6: Alex Shelley[c] w/ Rhino vs Roderick Strong [X-Division Championship – Title Defense #17]
They did some good mat work at the start, and Taz said that this match up was great, because it’s almost like it’s a battle between two guys from the Generation Next of wrestling or something. ANYWAY, Shelley targeted the neck for his submission finisher, whereas Strong went for the back, because, well, he’s Roderick Strong. They did some back-and-forth, and Strong had a lot of the champ’s stuff scouted, so he looked pretty strong here. They fought some on the outside, but Shelley tackled Strong backwards, driving the back of his head into the ring post! Commentary brought of Strong’s head being banged against the ring steps on Impact, and how Shelley has a big advantage going into the break.

--Commercial Break--

Shelley worked the head and neck now, and he was super aggressive. Rhino got involved at points to cut off Strong’s comebacks and stuff, so it was constantly an uphill battle for him. Shelley went to end it with the Shellshock, but Strong shoved him off and caught him off the ropes with the BUTTERFLY BACKBREAKER! He crawled over to cover! ONE … TWO … THRE - Shelley got a shoulder up! Strong followed up with a huge streak of nearfalls, and Shelley kept freaking out at how close he kept getting to losing the belt. Rhino finally got involved and distracted the ref, and SHELLEY TACKLED HIM FROM BEHIND! Rhino ran over and tossed Shelley the belt, and he CREAMED Strong! He covered, but the ref was still down! He pulled Strong up AND HIT HIM WITH THE BELT AGAIN! But the ref was still down! Rhino got in the ring and held London up for Shelley to hit him again, BUT STRONG DUCKED AND LONDON HIT RHINO! He turned to try to hit Strong again, BUT HE DUCKED! He turned around, RIGHT INTO THE STRONG BACKBREAKER! Both guys were down, but when they got to their knees, they both spotted the belt on the mat! They fought over the belt, and Strong nailed a HUGE elbow and grabbed it! Shelley stumbled to his feet, AND STRONG NAILED HIM WITH THE BELT! But, SHIT! THE REF WAS UP AND SAW IT! :( :( :(
Winner via disqualification and still X-Division Champion: Alex Shelley (14:45)

Strong quickly slid out and grabbed his X-Scape briefcase and rolled back in! He told the ref to call for the bell to start his X-Scape clause match! BUT NASH STOOD UP FROM THE BOOTH! He said that Strong had just used his X-Scape clause in that match, and that was his only chance! Strong was LIVID as Shelley rolled out of the ring and held up his title to close the show.

Tonight: Young vs Angle, a rematch of Hero vs Petey, and Cage/Roode/Dux vs Monty/Daniels/Danielson in the main event!

The Redcoats came out and Doug Williams said that he caught a cold, so Dave Taylor would have to take his spot tonight in a non-title match, but he and Collyer could have their title match next week.

Match 1: Chad Collyer w/ Roderick Strong vs Dave Taylor w/ Doug Williams [Non-Title]
Mostly a technical game, but Taylor started doing European mat stuff to get an edge. Collyer started throwing him around, but Taylor blocked a Belly to Belly Suplex and hung up his arm on the top rope. He started targeting the arm now very aggressively, frequently using up the ref’s entire 5-count. When he wouldn’t let go of prying Collyer’s arm on the rope, the ref called it.
Winner via disqualification: Chad Collyer (4:55)

Taylor kept prying and stomping at Collyer’s arm, but the Strong came in and ran him off. Williams backed up the ramp and faked coughing, then told Collyer he’d see him next week!

--Commercial Break--

The Enlightened were in the back, and Daniels wasn’t talking. Rave asked if he was alright, and Daniels said that he hasn’t been alright since the moment he lost his TNA Championship.

Match 2: Samoa Joe/Homicide vs Los Infernales
Mostly a showcase for Joe/Cide, but Homicide did briefly get caught up in some lucha. He finally came back with big punches, and flattened Averno with a West Brooklyn Lariat. Joe came in to clean up, and both guys knocked them around. Joe hit Mephisto with the Muscle Buster, and then held him down while Homicide hit the Frog Splash to win.
Winners via pinfall: Samoa Joe/Homicide (4:22)

Joe and ‘Cide celebrated in the ring, and then got on the mic to hype the title match at Slammiversary. Styles and Ki were watching backstage, and Styles told Ki that 4:22 was the time to beat.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Christopher Daniels had an interview with Lauren, and he said that nothing is going right for him, even after NINE YEARS~ of fighting and scratching to the top. He said he needs to regroup himself, or else he’d find himself too far cast out of Heaven again, unable to ever reach his glory again.

Sean Hernandez went to Booker T’s office and yelled about not being considered for a title shot. Booker said that Hernandez had certainly proven himself by now, so he’d try to work on something for him by next week.

Angle came out for his match with Young, but Roode and Young ran behind him and attacked him on the ramp! They rolled him into the ring and beat him down some more, and put him down with a Spike Piledriver and then a Payoff.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Roode and Young were laughing about what they did to Angle, and Roode said that it was pathetic how helpless he is.

Match 3: AJ Styles/Low Ki vs The Young Bucks [Non-Title]
The Bucks tried to flip and stuff, and Styles joined them in doing so. Then Low Ki got in and killed them with stiff strikes. Jeremy got knocked around, and then Low Ki got him on his shoulders for the Springboard Elbow Smash Doomsday Device~! One, two, and three.
Winners via pinfall: AJ Styles/Low Ki (3:59)

Styles rolled in to join Low Ki, and he tried another hug, but Ki wouldn’t have it. Styles composed himself and shouted that they beat Joe and Homicide’s time, and that’s why they’re the best in the world.

--Commercial Break--

Tito Santana and Richie Steamboat were seen talking in the back again.

A beaten up Kurt Angle cut a promo from the back about how constantly Roode and Young have one-upped him. First they embarrassed him at Turning Point, then they tore him apart at Lockdown, and all in-between Roode has pinned him over and over again. Angle said it ends at Slammiversary, because he’s going to find some help, and he challenged them to a tag team match! Angle said that he’s been around the block a time or two, and he’s not too proud to ask for a helping hand, and in this case, he knows it will deliver.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Monty Brown and Bryan Danielson were talking about the main event, and Christopher Daniels walked up! Awkward silence. Daniels finally spoke up and said that his stock is falling fast, and he needs a win tonight, and so he’s going for the pinfall himself, and to stay out of his way.

Match 4: Chris Hero vs Petey Williams w/ Tyson Dux
Petey wanted a lock up, so Hero obliged and quickly showed off his mat game for the first time. He really made Petey look like a fool, so Petey switch to a power game. Hero promptly showed off his power stuff as well for the first time, so Petey rolled to the outside. Hero followed him out, but interference from Dux threw him off his game. Petey controlled briefly, but Hero came back and killed him with the Rolling Elbow! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Chris Hero (4:27)

Hero celebrated to the back, and Petey was pissed!

Kevin Nash went to Booker T in the back and asked if he was planning on booking a King of the Mountain for Slammiversary this year. Booker T said that he wasn’t, as he dislikes the match. Nash asked if it was because the only KOTM he competed in, he lost because Nash himself cost him the match. Booker didn’t answer, so Nash just laughed and walked off.

--Commercial Break--

HA HA HA OH AIN’T I GREAT?! Jeff Jarrett came down to the Impact Zone for the first time in eight months! He came down and talked about how great he is, because he is. He talked himself up as one of TNA’s only two Hall of Famers, and as such that entitles him to do what he wants, when he wants. He says he didn’t want to step foot in dirty Orlando, and he certainly wouldn’t wrestle here in dirty Alabama, but he would in the great state of Tennessee! And that’s why at Slammiversary, the Father of TNA would return to the ring. He said he was issuing the Jeff Jarrett Tennessee Invitational at Slammiversary. That’s the J E DOUBLE F J A DOUBLE R E DOUBLE T T E DOUBLE N E DOUBLE S DOUBLE E INVITATIONAL!!! Any decent wrestler from the grand ol’ state of Tennessee could step up and face the REAL King of the Mountain! HA HA HA! For now, he’s getting out of this hellhole, but he’ll be back at Slammiversary!

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Roode and Young were with Lauren, and they officially accepted Angle’s challenge for Slammiversary. Roode said that whoever he picked, he wouldn’t be able to help Angle.

Match 5: Chuck Taylor vs Tyson Tomko w/ Tyson Dux
Typical Chuck Taylor squash, where he gets very little offense in, but he takes a hellacious beating and keeps on coming. Taylor whipped out his Sloppy As Hell Knee Lift, Sloppy As Hell Dropkick, and he debuted the Sloppy As Hell Plancha. He tried the Sloppy As Hell Moonsault, but Tomko moved. Taylor stumbled up and Tomko leveled him with TEH BEWT~ to win.
Winner via pinfall: Tyson Tomko (4:02)

Tomko celebrated in the ring, and Chuck Taylor has still never won a match :(

Backstage, Christopher Daniels went to Elix Skipper and said that his world is crashing down around him, and he needs help. Skipper told him to screw himself, and he walked off.

--Commercial Break--

Match 6: Christian Cage/Robert Roode/Tyson Dux vs Monty Brown/Christopher Daniels/Bryan Danielson
Obviously Team Canada got along just fine, and Monty and Danielson did as well. But Daniels was the wild card on the their team, and his refusal to work with his teammates led to big problems in execution. And whenever they had Monty in the ring, Team Canada pretty much exclusively went for his leg. Danielson got caught up in cheating, but Monty came in and threw them all off and they bailed to the floor. Danielson ran off the ropes and took out all three guys with a big Tope Suicida to go to a break!

--Commercial Break--

The challenging team was bumping around Team Canada, but Cage used some cheap tricks to slow them down, and he took over on Daniels. The Enlightened came down to shift things to their favor, and Monty and Danielson came in to clean up from that. It went back-and-forth for a bit, and soon Daniels kept trying desperately to pin Cage, so the world champ tagged out. Ravarian got involved, which pissed off Monty and Danielson. Kurt Angle ran down towards the end to attack Roode, but Young came out to take Angle down! Roode left the apron to attack Angle, and he left Cage and Dux to themselves. Things broke down, and Danielson had Cage down with the Eagle-Plex, but when he went up top, DANIELS SHOVED HIM DOWN! WAT! Daniels ran to the corner for the BEST! MOONSAULT! EV - No! Cage moved! UNPRETTIER! He got up, but Monty hit the ALPHA BOMB! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Monty Brown/Christopher Daniels/Bryan Danielson (13:46)

Monty Brown celebrated in the ring, and GM Booker T came out! He said that Monty Brown has been on a huge role, and he just topped it off by pinning the TNA Champion. And so, at Slammiversary, it would be Christian Cage vs Monty Brown one-on-one for the TNA Championship! Daniels came in and flipped out. He started kicking at Danielson and Dux, but when he turned to Monty he stood back. But Christian snuck in and attacked Monty from behind! He tried the Unprettier, but Monty shoved him into the ropes AND CAUGHT HIM COMING BACK WITH THE POUCE~~~~~~~~! PERIOD! Monty picked up the TNA Championship and held it in the air over Christian to close the show.

Taz and Doug Williams were at the announce booth, but they send it to Nash in the ring.

Kevin Nash was by himself with a mic, and he said he had a HUGE announcement. He said that given the TNA World Champion situation and what happened on Impact, there will evidently by NO King of the Mountain Match at Slammiversary. But KOTM is a staple of the show, and so he feels that it should still be there. And that’s why, after talking it over with X-Division Champion Alex Shelley, they have decided to go through with the first ever X-DIVISION KING OF THE MOUNTAIN MATCH! At Slammiversary, for the first time ever, the X-Division Title would be defended in a KOTM match! He said that this would make history, but right then, Roderick Strong came out!

He said that he won the X-Scape match and that meant he could cash in his X-Division title shot whenever he wanted in a one-on-one situation. Nash said that’s right, and he used it last week. Strong reminded him that he said that didn’t count, but Nash denied saying that, insisting that last week was his shot! Strong got pissed, but Nash said not to freak out, because he’s already been added to the KOTM match! Strong said it was still bullshit, so Nash told him he can take out his anger in a match with Sean Waltman tonight. Strong looked pissed, but he returned to the back, and Nash went back to the booth.

Tazz reacted to the news, and when Nash got back there he hyped it up as well. They then ran down the rest of the card: Koslov vs a Jap, Davey vs Steamboat, and now Strong vs Waltman.

--Commercial Break--

Consequences Creed was backstage hanging out with some jobbers (foreshadowing?), and he was complaining about Lethal some!

Match 1: Richie Steamboat vs Davey Richards w/ Elijah Burke
They had a really heated mat segment, and this time Davey just totally dominated and wouldn’t let Steamboat fly around. Whenever he tried, Davey kicked and punched him right out of the air. Steamboat had to counter by trying to meet him with strikes, but only his chops seemed to do much of anything. Davey went for a big elbow, but Steamboat kicked it, and then went after his arm. He was uncharacteristically aggressive with it, even using the ropes and stuff. Burke eventually got involved, and it let Davey nailed Steamboat with an STO on the floor!

--Commercial Break--

Davey was still beating Steamboat around the ring, but Steamboat grabbed his arm and drove it into the barricade. By the time he got him back into the ring, he couldn’t really capitalize though. He kept trying to work the arm when he could, but whenever he got too close for too long, Davey killed him with strikes. Steamboat started flying again, and this time he had more success. He hit the Missile Dropkick from the top, but when he went up again, Burke got on the apron to distract him. Davey pulled off and to the mat, and then hit the Bankrupt Driver! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Davey Richards (11:54)

Burke slid back in and started stomping at Steamboat, and Davey joined him. They beat him down, BUT TITO FUCKING SANTANA RAN DOWN AND CLEARED THEM OUT.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Roderick Strong went up to Paul London and he said he expected that he would have come out to help him after the ref bump last wing against Shelley, and he asked where he was. He said he was … busy, sorry.

Match 2: Dave Taylor vs Fit Finlay
WHAT THE SHIT. Hard strikes, cool mat stuff and counters, and hard strikes. Finlay won with the Celtic Cross.
Winner via pinfall: Fit Finlay (5:09)

Finlay celebrated in the ring and to the back.

Lethal came up to Creed and said he heard he was talking shit, and they argued some, but Creed just turned and left.

--Commercial Break--

Alex Shelley found Angelina Love and asked her why the hell she wasn’t out there for his match against Strong last week. She said she was … busy, sorry.

Match 3: Paul London/Shark Boy vs TJ Perkins/Scott Lost w/ Kenny King
London vs TJ happened for a while, and then London vs Lost did some. Shark Boy tried to clean up quickly, but he got isolated. They worked his neck, and TJ tried the Puma Buster, but Shark Boy slid out AND BIT HIS ASS. Perkins flipped out and tagged to Lost, but London got in too! He cleaned house on both guys, and then hit Lost with the Waffle Face! Shark Boy intercepted TJ with a Shark Boy Stunner, and then London went up top to hit Lost with the Shooting Star Press to win.
Winners via pinfall: Paul London/Shark Boy (6:04)

Paul London and Shark Boy celebrated in the ring. That’s a great sentence.

--Commercial Break--

Roode and Young were backstage, and Young was flipping out because he had now idea who Angle was going to pick for Slammiversary. Roode told him not to worry, because any match against Angle, he would always win.

Match 4: Matt Morgan vs Mr. Wrestling IV
Squash.
Winner via pinfall: Matt Morgan (0:38)

Morgan celebrated in the ring.

--Commercial Break--

A recap of Monty Brown pinning Christian Cage on Impact played, and GM Booker T’s announcement that he’d face Christian one-on-one at Slammiversary for the title!

Backstage, Raven told Elix Skipper that what he did on Impact was awesome.

Paul London cut a promo backstage about how he’s talked to Nash, and he’s in the KOTM match as he should be, and he’ll take that title from London. And then he’ll talk whatever else he cares about, just to fuck him over. Whatever else he Loves, is his.

--Commercial Break--

Koslov came out and said his open invitational now extends outside of TNA, so he has no idea what to expect. Out came … JIMMY YANG~!

Match 5: Viktor Koslov w/ The Axis Powers vs Jimmy Yang
Yang bumped around the unsuspecting Koslov at the start, but some outside interference let him take over. He worked the leg to slow him down, but Yang whipped out STRONG STYLE~ JAP-O-NEEZ~ strikes to fight back. He started to fly again, but Koslov kicked out his legs put in the Moscow Cloverleaf! Yang made it to the ropes, but by then his legs were really damaged. He did manage a big enzuigiri, but when he tried his Moonsault, Koslov rolled out of the way. Yang landed bad on his leg, and he stutter-stepped, letting Koslov hit the Red Scare! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Viktor Koslov (6:14)

Koslov got up after barely winning and celebrated. He grabbed a mic and said that if a Japanese fellow wants to join his stable, they need to be top of the line.

Kiyoshi was seen watching from backstage, and he shook his head.

--Commercial Break--

Before Strong/Waltman, Nash stood up and announced from the booth that if Waltman beats him, he’ll take his place in KOTM!

Match 6: Roderick Strong vs Sean Waltman
Lots of Waltman stalling, but when Strong least expected it, Waltman unleashed actually doing moves. Still tons of cheating. Shelley eventually came out for some sort of distraction, but he never got involved. Strong eventually tuned him out and run through big offense on Waltman. He hit the Strong Backbreaker, and then strapped in the Stronghold, and Waltman tapped!
Winner via submission: Roderick Strong (6:55)

Shelley immediately slid into the ring and tried to bash Strong with his title belt, but Strong ducked and caught him off the ropes! He tried the Strong Backbreaker, but Shelley dropped down and rolled out to safety! He backed up the ramp holding his belt in the air, but London ran down and threw him back into the ring! He staggered up, right into the Strong Backbreaker! Strong picked up the X-Division Championship and held it in the air as London motioned for it to close the show.

Commentary welcomed us to the show, and ran down some of tonight’s card: Collyer vs Doug Williams vs for the TV Title, Angle/Danielson vs Ravarian, and Homicide vs Low Ki in the main event!

Petey Williams came out to start the show, and he said he’s sick of this Chris Hero guy getting lucky to beat him. He said if he loses this match, then he QUITS TNA!

Match 1: Chris Hero vs Petey Williams
Pretty basic match, but Petey pulled out some big stuff to try to survive. They fought on the floor some, and Petey tried whatever he could to get any quick submission pin, or even count out victory. Hero started really bumping him around with his size, so Petey pulled out his stuff he’s used over the years. The nut-squash tree of woe in the corner, the push-ups and Steiner pose, AND THEN IT HAPPENED! HE CALLED FOR IT! THE CANADIAN DESTROYER! IT’S BEEN OH SO LONG! Hero stumbled up, and Petey set him up, BUT HERO SHOVED HIM OFF! ROLLING ELBOW! HERO’S WELCOME! ONE … TWO … THREE! Petey’s gone!
Winner via pinfall: Chris Hero (6:13)

Hero got up and celebrated at FINALLY getting rid of a guy who should have been fired years ago! Petey got up and had a sad, and the crowd sang him away.

--Commercial Break--

Team Canada was having a meeting in the back, and Petey Williams walked up. They all looked at him and asked what the problem was, and he told them that he had to quit. Roode shrugged, wished him good luck in his future endeavors, and they all went back to talking about maple syrup and hockey. Christian had to cut it short though, because he heard that Chris Daniels wanted to talk to him.

Sean Hernandez went into Booker T’s office and demanded a world title match. Booker T said he was right, and at this point he can’t avoid it. He said he was going to put him into the KOTM at Slammiversary, but he decided against doing one of those. But he’ll add him to the world title match to make it a Triple Threat, if he wins a match tonight. Hernandez asked who it’d be, and Booker said it was hard finding anybody to want to face him, so whoever comes out can be his opponent.

--Commercial Break--

Sean Hernandez came out for his match, and his opponent was … chuck taylor :/

Match 2: Sean Hernandez vs Chuck Taylor
Right off the bat, Hernandez leveled him with a big clothesline. He tossed him around some, but Chuck dodged a Spear and came off the ropes with a Sloppy As Hell Knee Lift! ONE - Hernandez kicked out WITH AUTHORITY~! He floored Chuck again and beat him around like the hobby it has become for him. He tried the Border Toss, but Chuck slid down and used his Sloppy As Hell Dropkick to send Hernandez into the corner! ROLL UP! ONE … TWO … THRE - Hernandez JUST got out! He flipped out and started beating the shit out of Chuck, and he went for the Spear, but Chuck jumped over! SPIN CYCLE (Twist of Fate)!! ONE … TWO … THRE - Hernandez kicked out! Chuck climbed up top, but Hernandez was up and fucking THREW him halfway across the ring and to the floor. He lined up for the Spear again, BUT CHUCK JUMPED OVER HIM! SPIN CYCLE! HE CLIMBED UP TOP! SLOPPY AS HELL MOONSAUL - NO! HERNANDEZ MOVED! SHIT! Chuck staggered to his feet, and Hernandez ran off for a SPEA - NO! TAYLOR HIT THE SPIN CYCLE! HE CLIMBED UP TOP! SLOPPY AS HELL MOONSAULT! Hernandez threw Chuck off him and staggered to his feet in a daze. Chuck rushed up top again as Hernandez turned again … ANOTHER SLOPPY AS HELL MOONSAULT! AND CHUCK HELD THE PRAWN! ONE! … TWO! … THREEEE!!! HERNANDEZ KICKED OUT! BUT IT WAS A THREE! CHUCK GOT THE THREE!
WINNER VIA PINFALL: CHUCK TAYLOR HOLY SHIIIITTTTT (5:58)

HOLY FUCKING FUCK! CHUCK TAYLOR GOT UP AND COULDN’T FUCKING BELIEVE IT! He started running in circles and commentary and the crowd were freaking the fuck out! THE STREAK WAS BROKEN! SOMEBODY JUST BEAT SEAN HERNANDEZ! AND IT WAS CHUCK TAYLOR! HOLY SHIT! Hernandez got up and was fucking FURIOUS! Taylor was like, “oh shit,†and he jumped out of the ring! Hernandez went to go after him, but the ref held him back, so Hernandez punched the ref! A bunch of officials ran out, AND HERNANDEZ BEAT THE FUCK OUT OF ALL OF THEM! NOBODY COULD STOP HIM! Booker T finally ran out and told him to stop NOW, BUT HERNANDEZ SPEARED THE FUCK OUT OF THE GENERAL MANAGER! All the refs pounced on him, and it took all the road agents coming out to hold him down too. Taylor was still freaking out up the ramp, having gotten his first ever win in TNA against SEAN HERNANDEZ. Everybody worked to get Hernandez up the ramp, and they finally pulled him to the back.

--Commercial Break--

A replay of what just happened played. Holy shit.

Christian walked up to Chris Daniels, who told him that he had an idea. First of all, he said not to forget that he still wanted that World Championship, but that obviously couldn’t happen for a bit. Until then, he wanted to make sure that nobody else got in his way, so he proposed to help out Team Canada if they’d help the Enlightened. Christian was intrigued. Daniels said they should put together an Alliance Against Danielson, Angle, & Monty to stop these guys from getting close to the world title. Christian thought briefly, and then promptly accepted the creation of Alliance A.D.A.M.

A Jeff Jarrett vignette played, and Karen JARRETT dressed as a maid was serving him shots of protein shakes. He was playing Call of Duty, but he’d do a push up after every kill he got. He said that he’d be ready for his Invitational, and he’d crush his competition.

--Commercial Break--

In the back, Robert Roode boasted about Kurt Angle being unable to beat him.

Match 3: Chad Collyer[c] vs Doug Williams [TNA Television Championship]
Collyer came into this with his hurt arm from last week, so Williams went right after that. He sort of got too caught up in that at times, and it let Collyer get off some big throws, and then pounce on him on the mat with his amateur stuff. Williams tried to come back with submission holds, but Collyer pulled out some of his own, which annoyed Williams. In response, he nailed Collyer squared in the face, but Collyer struck back hard! He drove Williams out of the ring with a few big shots and tried to following up with a Baseball Slide to the outside, but Williams moved. He grabbed Collyer’s arm and drove it right into the ring post heading into the break.

--Commercial Break--

Williams had Collyer down, still working on his arm. He tried to put in an arm bar~, but Collyer rolled through and exploded with some dropkicks! He hit an Overhead Belly to Belly and tried to put in the Crossface Chickenwing, but Williams got out easily by going to the weak arm. Collyer kept fighting through with the hurt arm, but Williams was super aggressive in his offense. He finally tried to end it with the Chaos Theory, but he blocked it and maneuvered around, then hit the EVEREST GERMAN! ONE … TWO … THRE - His bad arm gave out and he lost the bridge! He tried the Crossface Chickenwing again, but Williams kicked his arm away and put in the Britannic Bow and Arrow! He pulled back on it, but Collyer grabbed the bottom rope! Williams kicked at his back and tried the Chaos Theory again, but Collyer held on in the corner. He elbowed away with his good arm, and then exploded out with a dropkick off the middle rope! Williams staggered up, and Collyer used his good arm to his the Everest German, holding the pin with the good arm! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall and still TNA Television Champion: Chad Collyer (11:38)

Collyer celebrated in the ring and to the back with his title.

Samoa Joe was helping Homicide get ready in the back.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Chuck Taylor was breathing heavily, and he said that he still couldn’t believe what happened. He won his first ever TNA match, and it was against the undefeated Sean Hernandez! He told everybody to expect big things from Chuck Taylor from here on out!

Match 4: Kurt Angle/Bryan Danielson vs Ravarian w/ Daffney
Pretty basic. Angle and Danielson ran it up top, but cheating and more tag team experience let Ravarian take over. Danielson got isolated some, and constant Daffney stuff prevent big comebacks. He finally got on a big roll with his strikes, and he topped it off with an Eagle-Plex to Kaz! Angle came in and cleaned house with his Flying Forearms, and then SUPLEXES EVERYWHERE. Danielson came back into help clean up, but Roode and Young ran down! Angle went out to get them, but Rave pulled him back with a Swinging Neckbreaker! Danielson ran in, but Young hopped up on the apron to distract the ref, and Roode came in to hit the Northern Lariat! He helped pull Angle up, and Ravarian hit the Restoration! Rave called for the ref! ONE … TWO … THREE! Upset!
Winners via pinfall: Ravarian (6:20)

Young and Roode came in to stomp at Angle, and then Roode grabbed a mic. He said that they had suspected that Danielson would be Angle’s partner, and now they know, and he’d pay for getting involved. They started to attack Danielson as well, but Monty Brown ran down to save! At that point though, Christian, Dux, Tomko, and Daniels ran down to attack the three. A big brawl broke out, but mostly Alliance A.M.A.D. beat them down. GM Booker T came out and had the ring cleared, because Monty Brown vs Tyson Dux was happening after the break!

--Commercial Break--

Match 5: Monty Brown vs Tyson Dux
Monty mostly beat him up, but Dux got in some decent leg that they’ve all been working on over the last few weeks. Dux slid out a ton to get Monty on the floor, all to set up for more leg stuff. Monty finally caught him and beat him around some, but Team Canada and the Enlightened ran down. Angle and Danielson did as well, a big fight broke out in the ring, so the ref threw it out.
No contest due to interference (4:23)

Everybody kept brawling, but in the end Monty, Angle, and Danielson got laid out.

AJ Styles was backstage pumping up Low Ki, who just sort of glared at him.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, a beat-up Kurt Angle went to Lauren for an interview. He told Roode and Young that Danielson ISN’T his partner for Slammiversary. He told them to be ready next week though, because maybe he’d show up.

Commentary announced that Christopher Daniels vs Bryan Danielson had been signed for Slammiversary.

Both partners were at ringside. Commentary discussed the really long history between Low Ki and Homicide, and they really are pretty much best friends, but they’re both insanely competitive.

Match 6: Low Ki vs Homicide
Not much happened before the break. Heated mat stuff, but Homicide took a cheap shot and stomped on Low Ki’s hand! Ki got mad and got on Homicide’s face, so ‘Cide did the AJ Styles pose! Low Ki went for a big elbow, but Homicide ducked and kicked his hand, then chucked him out of the ring!

--Commercial Break--

I already did a long match. This got more and more aggressive as it went, because it’s these two. Important to note though that it was always Homicide who always made the first move in stepping it up, but Low Ki was quick to join him. In the end, Homicide got caught up taunting Styles, who was just standing there. It let Low Ki hit his Springboard Roundhouse, and then he locked in the Dragon Clutch. Homicide made it to the ropes, but when he got up HE SLAPPED LOW KI IN THE FACE! Ki tried a Spinning Backhand, but ‘Cide ducked and kicked his hand! He went for the 187, but Ki shoved him off and caught him coming back with the Ki Krusher! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Low Ki (13:09)

Low Ki celebrated in the ring, and AJ Style slid in to give him his belt. They held up their titles as Homicide and Joe regrouped on the outside to close the show.

Yeah replays get played on IWF at 1:00 am on Friday mornings.

Internet Stuff
- Fit Finlay was signed to TNA primarily as a road agent, but he will wrestle from time to time in a limited capacity.
- Petey Williams has indeed been released by TNA
- TNA reportedly tried to sign Akira Tozawa, but he was mostly uninterested in staying in the States. Instead, they signed the far inferior Okato. He has been signed to a full contract, though it’s not yet known what his actual role will be.

Commentary was joined by Doug Williams, who said that Dave Taylor would have joined them but he was walking his pugs. Dave Taylor LOVES pugs. Anyway, the card: Koslov vs Jap, Lethal vs Red, Shelley/Rhino vs London/Strong in the main event, and this now.

Match 1: Bailout vs Richie Steamboat/Tito Santana
Tito wanted to start, and Burke didn’t take him seriously at all. Tito got in some quick punches, and then a dropkick! Yeah! Steamboat got in and bumped both guys around some, but when Tito got in the second time, he got stuck in the double-teaming. He obviously didn’t take huge bumps, but they did beat him down some. He finally got off the TITO FLYING FOREARM, and Steamboat got in to clean up! He came off with a Missile Dropkick to Burke, and then tagged in Tito! He came off with a Flying Crossbody to Davey, but he rolled through and picked him up for the Bankrupt Driver! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Bailout (5:52)

Bailout celebrated in the ring, and then started stomping at Steamboat and Santana! BUT SABIN AND JACOBS RAN OUT TO CLEAR THEM OUT! Bailout escaped but backed up the ring pissed.

--Commercial Break--

The Enlightened were backstage, and Chris Daniels was talking about facing Danielson at Slammiversary. He turned to the camera and said that with Alliance A.D.A.M. in full effect, Christian Cage will retain against Monty, Roode and Young will crush Angle, and he’ll stop Danielson before his momentum can even get going. And then, the Fallen Angel will be right back in line for a title shot, and he will take back the throne he so deserves.

A replay of Chuck Taylor beating Hernandez on Impact played, along with Hernandez’s post-match attack on officials and GM Booker T. Commentary said that Booker T would have an update on the situation with Hernandez on Impact, but that rumors of suspension or even firing have been circulating around the backstage rumor mill.

Match 2: Matt Morgan vs Chuck Taylor
Morgan squash. Right? WRONG! CHUCK TAYLOR WON WITH THE SPIN CYCLE AND SLOPPY AS HELL MOONSAULT!
Winner via pinfall: Chuck Taylor (2:28)

Chuckie ran around in circles in the ring, and then into the crowd where he hugged some fans. Morgan threw a fit as Chuck took his big celebration to the back.

--Commercial Break--

Koslov came out and talked some about his open challenge again. He said that, since kicking out Kiyoshi for being awful, he still needs a new Japanese member to round out the Axis Powers, for obviously parallelism reasons. He said that the Powers would become the most dominant stable in TNA with an talent Jap, and at that, he called for his opponent … AND YOSHIHIRO TAJIRI CAME OUT.

Match 3: Viktor Koslov w/Axis Powers vs Yoshihiro Tajiri
Koslov jumped him at the bell and stomped at him some, but Tajiri fought back with chops and kicks! They had a pretty heavy brawl, but Tajiri got a huge roll with his kicks and throws. The Powers got involved to slow him down, but Tajiri took them out with a Running Corkscrew Plancha! He climbed in, but Koslov met him with a big RUSSIAN LEGSWEEP~! He kept him contained and worked the leg to slow down the kicks, but he never expected the Handspring Back Elbow! He worked in his signature stuff like the Springboard Moonsault and Tarantula, but Koslov kept dodging the Buzzsaw Kick. He tried to strap in the Moscow Cloverleaf, but Tajiri kicked him away and hit a big Superkick! He lined up for the Buzzsaw, but Magnus got on the apron! Tajiri kicked him down, and then had one for Schulz too! He tried to kick Koslov, but he ducked and grabbed him behind for the Red Scare! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Viktor Koslov (8:01)

Koslov celebrated in the ring and said that nobody can stop him!

The camera caught Angelina Love coming out of the men’s restroom, and Nash said that happens all too often.

--Commercial Break--

Chuck Taylor went to the announce booth and said he had been summoned by Kevin Nash. Chancellor Nash said he was impressed with Taylor’s HUGE win over Hernandez on Impact, so he’s putting him in the X-Division Championship KOTM for Slammiversary! Taylor marked out and celebrated to the back.

Shelley and Rhino were talking, and Love walked up. Shelley asked where she had been all night, and she said she just got here.

Backstage, Elix Skipper and Raven told Lauren that they were going to try their luck in the tag team division soon.

Roderick Strong cut a promo in the back and said that he’s been gypped a little bit here, but it doesn’t matter because he’s walking out of Slammiversary the X-Division Champion.

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Jay Lethal vs Amazing Red
Basic back-and-forth with respectful mat stuff, then their normal high-flying. Lethal was more power-based, and it let him ground Red for a good stretch. He tried to end it too soon with the Lethal Combination, and Red countered with the Hurricanrana Driver! ONE … TWO … THRE - Lethal kicked out! Red kept up his high-flying stuff, but Lethal caught him off a springboard moonsault and planted him with a Running Powerslam! He went up top for the Lethal Elbow, but Red moved! He tried the Code Red, but Lethal held his weight and hit the Lethal Combination! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Jay Lethal (6:40)

They shook hands, and then Lethal made a comment that maybe he should start going for the X-Division Championship again.

Backstage, TJ Perkins and Scott Lost were talking, and Kenny King walked up with Chewy bars for them both. Lost said that’s why Kenny is his best friend, and TJ looked sad.

--Commercial Break--

Consequences Creed confronted Lethal backstage about his comments about the X-Division Championship, and if it meant he had given up on the tag titles. Lethal said of course not, and it didn’t mean anything, but Creed didn’t look happy.

Match 5: New Age Machineguns vs TJ Perkins/Scott Lost w/ Kenny King
Jacobs and TJ had a long segment, and then TJ got dragged over for Jacobs and Sabin to work on. They used some of their double team moves, so Kenny started to get involved to throw them off. TJ managed to catch Sabin with a big neckbreaker, and then Lost got in to work it over with him. Sabin finally blocked a vertical suplex and hit a big hurricanrana! Jacobs got in to clean house, and he took out Lost and King with a Suicide Dive! Sabin got in on the apron and lined Perkins up! Springboard Tornado DDT! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: New Age Machineguns (5:40)

Sabin and Jacobs celebrated, but Bailout ran down and laid them out!

--Commercial Break--

Chuck Taylor cut a promo in the back and said he has all the momentum in the world right now, and he’s going to use it to propel him to the X-Division Championship.

Shelley told Love to be in his corner tonight, and this time there’s no excuse.

At the booth, Doug Williams asked Nash if he could have the fifth spot in the KOTM match, but Nash said it has already been filled. Williams asked by who, but Nash told him he hated ruining surprises.

--Commercial Break--

Match 6: Roderick Strong/Paul London vs Alex Shelley/Rhino w/ Angelina Love
Strong and especially London wanted at Shelley, but he wouldn’t get in. Rhino had to take them both on, and with some cheap stuff by Shelley and Love, he managed to use his power on both guys. The numbers eventually caught up to him and the faces bumped him around, but when Shelley low bridged Strong to the floor, he and Rhino pounced on him. While they stomped, London got in and ran off the ropes to take them both out with a TOPE SUICIDA!!!

--Commercial Break--

London was knocking Rhino around, but Shelley made a blind tag and tackled London from behind! All four guys were involved now, and it turned into a back-and-forth, which Shelley careful not to get into a tough predicament. London overextended himself going for Shelley, and it let Rhino hit the Pumphandle Slam! ONE … TWO … THR - London kicked out! Rhino tried the Gore, but London leapt over him! He tried a Superkick, but Rhino ducked, and Shelley took a cheap shot at London! He bounced back, right into Rhino’s Spinebuster! ONE … TWO … THRE - London got a shoulder up! Rhino stomped at him some, and Shelley tagged in! He toyed with him some, and then pulled him up for the Shellshock, but London spun through AND HIT A SUPERKICK! Both guys were down, but instead of going for the tag, London went right back at Shelley! He pulled him up and tried the Waffle Face, but Shelley countered away with an arm drag. Shelley went to whip London against the ropes, where Love was waiting, but London reversed the whip and sent Shelley. Love reached out and grabbed Shelley’s leg, thinking it was London’s! Shelley stumbled forward, and turned back at Love and started yelling! BUT LONDON GRABBED A BACKSLIDE! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Roderick Strong/Paul London (12:28)

Shelley popped up and he couldn’t believe it! He threw a fit and started yelling at Love, but London pulled him away! He reared back to punch Shelley, but Love got in the way! London stepped back and went to leave, BUT SHELLEY ATTACKED HIM FROM BEHIND! Strong came to save, but Rhino jumped him! They laid into London and Strong, and Shelley told Love to go get a chair. She brought one in, but was hesitant to give it to Shelley. He finally snatched it from her and went back to bash London, BUT SOMEBODY TACKLED HIM TO THE MAT!

IT’S BRIAN KENDRICK! BRIAN KENDRICK IS BACK! He laid into Shelley like a madman, and when Love tried to pull him off, Kendrick shoved her! London tried to pull him off, but Kendrick shoved him too and jumped back on Shelley! He started laying back into him and he pulled him up for a Piledriver, but Shelley shoved away and rolled out to safety. He looked in horror as he backed up the ramp, and Kendrick shouted I’LL BE KING OF THE MOUNTAIN. London got up and looked uneasy at Kendrick as he motioned for the X-Title.

Commentary welcomed us to the show and hyped Angle vs Rave, AJ Styles vs Homicide, and a main event of Robert Roode vs Bryan Danielson! Tenay also announced that he had received word that Sean Hernandez had been SUSPENDED indefinitely following his attack on officials last week.

Commentary hyped up the X-Division KOTM match at Slammiversary, featuring Roderick Strong!

Match 1: Roderick Strong/Chad Collyer/Fit Finlay vs TJ Perkins/Scott Lost/Doug Williams w/ Dave Taylor & Kenny King
Strong and Williams went to the mat, and Strong was super aggressive for what the Redcoats did to him a few weeks ago. TJ wanted in, so he made a blind tag and flew around some, but Strong caught him midair and nailed a Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker! He and Collyer did some of their double-team stuff, and then Finlay came in to kill him. Some cheating and outside stuff helped the heels take over to isolate him. Taylor kept getting involved, SO FINLAY TOOK HIM OUT WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! It all broke down and everybody got involved, and eventually Collyer got Doug Williams in the Crossface Chickenwing, and he tapped.
Winners via submission: Roderick Strong/Chad Collyer/Fit Finlay (6:39)

The faces celebrated in the ring.

--Commercial Break--

Kurt Angle arrived in the back, and he looked very pleased.

Homicide found Low Ki in the back and asked why he was teaming with this loser AJ Styles. Ki pointed at his tag title, and walked off.

Backstage, Robert Roode told The Enlightened to make sure they weaken Kurt Angle to hold up their end of the bargain, and he’ll be sure to put Danielson down.

--Commercial Break--

From his office backstage, GM Booker T addressed the Sean Hernandez controversy. He put him over as a huge force in TNA for going undefeated for 135 straight matches, a feat unheard of in TNA. But, an attack on officials, road agents, and the General Manager himself cannot go unpunished. Booker said that there is no set time for Hernandez’s suspension, but that it would end at the GM’s discretion.

Another Jeff Jarrett vignette played, and this time he was playing poker with Psycho Sid, Tennessee Lee, Don Harris, and Kamala. Jarrett clearly cheated to win, and then shouted that he’s the smartest man alive HA HA HA OH AIN’T I GREAT?!

--Commercial Break--

Booker T brought Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed into his office. He said he knows there’s tension between them, and that’s not a bad thing. He said that he and Stevie Ray had tension all throughout tagging, and the best way to deal with it was to have a match every now and then. That’s why he booked Lethal vs Creed for Slammiversary! He told them to wrestle the match, then start fresh and be the Negroes he taught them to be and tear up the tag team division.

Match 2: Kurt Angle vs Jimmy Rave w/ Frankie Kazarian & Daffney
This started as an Angle squash, just chucking Rave around everywhere like he does well. He upped it with some suplexes, but when he pulled down the straps, Kaz jumped on the apron. Angle ran over and knocked him down, but Rave ran and dumped Angle to the floor! He came back with a Baseball Slide, and then chucked Angle to the barricade! Angle tried to fight back on the floor, but Kaz distracted him, and Rave threw him shoulder-first into the ring post. Rave had Angle down going into the break!

--Commercial Break--

Rave was working over Angle’s arm back from the break. He went for the Torture Device Crossface, but Angle rolled through and put him right into the Ankle Lock! Rave struggled for a bit, but finally kicked at Angle’s shoulder to get out. He pounced back on the shoulder, and then started throwing punches and elbows when he could. Angle got pissed and started through punches with his good arm, and then exploded with the Flying Forearm! He hit a Belly to Belly, then tried the Triple Germans, but Rave blocked the second and grabbed a Victory Roll! ONE … TWO … THRE - Angle got out! He tried a quick Olympic Slam, but Rave floated over and hit a Reverse DDT! ONE … TWO … THRE - Angle kicked out! Rave climbed up top for a Crossbody, but Angle rolled away! He staggered up, and Angle hit a German Suplex, AND LOCKED IN THE ANKLE LOCK! Rave struggled for a bit, but Angle put in the grapevine to take pressure off of his arm, and Rave tapped!
Winner via submission: Kurt Angle (10:12)

Angle celebrated in the ring, but Daniels ran down, and he and Kaz rushed the ring. Rave joined in, and they all beat down Angle, but BRYAN DANIELSON RAN OUT FOR THE SAVE! He cleared them off, and then helped Angle up. Chris Daniels shouted that he was going to kick Danielson’s ass on Sunday.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Kurt Angle thanked Bryan Danielson for his help, and Danielson said that they had to stick together against both The Enlightened and Team Canada. Danielson asked who his partner would be for Sunday, and Angle said everyone would find out soon enough.

Match 3: AJ Styles vs Homicide
AJ was super over in his hometown. They went to the mat, but ‘Cide was pretty disrespectful with grinding his elbows and throwing some slaps when he could. AJ finally got fed up and started throwing bombs, but Homicide ducked the Discus Clothesline and came off the ropes with a lariat takedown! They both brawled around the mat just throwing punches, even into the ropes and whatnot. When there ref warned Homicide for choking, Styles grabbed with a cross-armbreaker! Homicide grabbed the ropes, but then tackled AJ down and choked him again. He wouldn’t let go, so the ref threw it out!
Winner via disqualification: AJ Styles (5:47)

Homicide kept choking at AJ, so Low Ki rushed in and pulled him off! They got in each other’s faces, but Joe pulled them apart! He kept them calm, but AJ GOT UP AND TACKLED HOMICIDE! They started brawling wildly until Low Ki and Samoa Joe could pull them apart, and keep them there. Joe herded ‘Cide to the back while AJ shouted back up at him from the ring. AJ turned to thank Low Ki, and he nodded.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary said that Tyson Dux was the only person in the world that likes Petey Williams, and so he wanted to avenge him and get at Chris Hero. Apparently, Hero vs Dux has been signed for next week, with a TV Title shot on the line.

Match 4: Monty Brown/Chris Hero vs Tyson Dux/Tyson Tomko
Hero and Dux started and did some mat stuff, but Hero started just bumping him around. Monty got in to really kill him some. Tomko came in and tried to match his power, but Monty got tired of it and flattened him with the Alpha Lariat! Dux rushed in, but got pinballed by both guys. Hero tried to debut his Cyclone Kill, but Dux ducked, and Tomko nailed him with his Falling Lariat! Monty ran over and clotheslined Tomko to the outside, and then flipped Dux inside out with his Jumping Shoulderblock. He yanked him up and hit the POUNCEEE~~~~~~~~! Period. 1, 2, and 3.
Winner via pinfall: Monty Brown/Chris Hero (4:11)

Monty celebrated, Tomko and Dux jumped Monty, and Eric Young came down to join them. They all targeted his leg, and Christian Cage ran down to join in! He put in a modified Figure Four around the ring post, but when Hero came in, and Angle and Danielson ran down, they cleared off. Monty held at his leg, and Christian pointed at his head, and then to his belt.

Backstage, DON WEST~ arrived!

--Commercial Break--

Match 5: Matt Morgan vs Shawn Spears
Morgan was super aggressive, and commentary brought up him losing to Chuck Taylor on Xplosion, and speculating as to that being the reason why. Anyway, this was mostly a squash. Morgan won with the Chokebomb and Hellevator.
Winner via pinfall: Matt Morgan (1:23)

Morgan celebrated in the ring, and DON WEST~ came out! He got in the ring and said that he was screwed out of an announce spot, but he’s moved on, and he offered to be Morgan’s manager! At first Morgan laughed, but when he realized DW was serious, they left together. Mike Tenay called them idiots.

--Commercial Break--

Word from GM Booker T is that EVERYBODY is banned from ringside during the main event. He said that anybody who so much as comes down to ringside would be suspended for 3 weeks, including Slammiversary.

Match 6: Robert Roode vs Bryan Danielson
They had a heated technical exchange, but Roode kept getting outdone, so he started throwing punches. Danielson came back with chops, so Roode just chucked him out of the ring! Danielson rushed back in and came right at Roode with kicks and forearms! Roode used his size to fight back and target the midsection, but Danielson upped the pace, and he sent Roode to the outside with a big front dropkick. He measured Roode up, and then ran off the ropes for a TOPE SUICIDA!!!

--Commercial Break--

Danielson still had Roode on the defensive, and he caught him off the ropes with a Side Belly to Belly! ONE … TWO … TH - Roode kicked out! Danielson climbed up top and came off for a Missile Dropkick, but Roode moved! Danielson stumbled up, and Roode hit a big Fallaway Slam! He worked over Danielson’s midsection some more, and he tried a Powerbomb, but Danielson countered with a Sunset Flip! ONE … TWO … THR - Roode got out! Danielson quickly got up and delivered some stiff kicks to the chest, but when he ran off the ropes, Roode got the Double R Spinebuster! ONE … TWO … THRE - Danielson got an arm up! Roode pulled him up and tried the Payoff, but Danielson pulled him into an inside cradle! ONE … TWO … TH - Roode got out! Roode charged Danielson into the corner and set him up top, but he fought back with forearms. They had a brief struggle, and Danielson shoved him off! MISSILE DROPKICK! ONE … TWO … THRE - Roode kicked out! Danielson jumped on him and tried to put in the LeBell Lock, but Roode got to the ropes to force a break. Danielson kicked him some more and tried his big Falcon Kick, but Roode ducked and grabbed a roll-up with tights! ONE … TWO … THRE - Danielson kicked out! Both guys got up and Roode tried a clothesline, but Danielson ducked. He ran off and tried one of his own, but Roode tried the Double R Spinebuster again, BUT DANIELSON COUNTERED WITH A FALLING DDT! ONE … TWO … THRE - Roode got his arm up! Danielson went up top for the Flying Headbutt, BUT ROODE MOVED! Danielson staggered up, and Roode tried the Northern Lariat, but Danielson ducked! He tried the LeBell Lock again, but Roode rolled through and punched Danielson in the back of the head! Danielson staggered forward, and Roode ran off for the NORTHERN LARIAT! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Robert Roode (13:55)

Roode celebrated in the ring, and Alliance A.D.A.M. came down to join him. Kurt Angle and Monty Brown (limping) came down to fight some of them, and a bunch of them brawled wildly to the back. Left in the ring, were Roode, Young, and Angle, and well, guess what’s coming. Roode pulled out his Golden Knucks, and Young pulled Angle up for Roode to nail him in the jaw! Young pulled him up again and Roode reared back once more, until…

THE LIGHTS WENT OUT! WHAT THE HELL?! They came back on, AND ROBERT ROODE AND CHRISTIAN YOUNG WERE LAID OUT! AND WHAT IS THAT?! In the middle of the ring there was a … a … a … A BASEBALL BAT!!!!!! Angle started to get up in the ring with a big grin on his face, AND IT CAN ONLY MEAN ONE THING! Robert Roode and Eric Young vs Kurt Angle and … THE ICON STING!!!! WE’LL SEE YOU SUNDAY!

Taz and Nash were joined by newcomer Chris Hero tonight. They then ran down some of the card, highlighted by Sabin vs Burke and The Hooliganz vs Strong/Taylor.

Commentary hyped Lethal vs Creed for Slammiversary.

Match 1: 2 Crazy Negroes vs Elix Skipper/Raven
Both Negroes were determined to play a game of one-upmanship with each other, and it made them lose focus at times. Skipper and Raven showed off some tag team maneuvers in their tag team debut, but it couldn’t match the teaming experience of 2CN. A few miscommunications by the Negroes nearly got Skipper and Raven the win after a Double DDT, but they regrouped. Lethal hit Raven with the Lethal Combination and went up top, but Creed tagged himself in! He immediately hit the CreeDDT and covered to win!
Winner via pinfall: 2 Crazy Negroes (4:29)

Creed celebrated in the ring, but Lethal rolled back in and was upset. Creed patted him on the back and told him there were no hard feelings. Lethal let it go begrudgingly, and they left together as commentary hyped their match at Slammiversary.

--Commercial Break--

Koslov came out for his challenge, and Kiyoshi came out! He said he brought in his cousin for this invitational, the debuting Okato!

Match 2: Viktor Koslov w/ The Axis Powers vs Okato w/ Kiyoshi
Welp, he ain’t Tajiri or Jimmy Yang. Okato had some stiff strikes at the start, but Koslov took him to the mat. Okato started to come back with kicks and chops, and this time when the Powers got involved, Kiyoshi took them out! Koslov got distracted, and Okato snuck up and got a Bridging Tiger Suplex! ONE … TWO … THRE - Koslov got an arm up! Okato pulled him up and tried a Piledriver, but Koslov shoved him away. Magnus grabbed his leg, and he stumbled forward into the Red Scare! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Viktor Koslov (5:02)

Koslov celebrated to the back, and Okato regrouped with Kiyoshi.

A pre-taped Monty Brown promo played to hype the world title match at Slammiversary,

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: Richie Steamboat vs Doug Williams w/ Dave Taylor
Doug Williams was in a horrible mood, and Tazz chalked it up to him coming really close to winning the TV Title recently. He really laid into Steamboat with his knees, and Taylor didn’t hesitate to take cheap shots when he could. Steamboat kept on surviving and pulling out his trademark small packages, but after each one, Williams raged with knees and closed-fisted punches. The ref finally told Doug to cut it out, and Steamboat grabbed a roll-up! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Richie Steamboat (5:30)

Doug flipped out and attacked, and Dave rolled in to join. Tito Santana ran down to clear them out, but they beat him down too and returned to the back together.

--Commercial Break--

The Hooliganz were hanging out backstage, and Lauren came up to get a word. London said that they were united tonight, but they agreed that at Slammiversary it would be every man for himself. Kendrick spoke up for himself and said that Shelly was a dead man for putting him out two months ago.

TJ, Scott, and Kenny were backstage, and TJ brought up Scott’s “best friend†comment from last week. It was real awkward, but Scott said that he liked them both equal. Kenny said it was the same, and TJ was like, oh yeah, me too I guess.

Alex Shelley cut a promo about being the best in the world and stuff. He said that FINALLY he would be able to main event a PPV, above jerks like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe and garbage titles like the TNA World “Championship.â€

--Commercial Break--

Commentary talked some about the frequent backstage confrontation between the New Age Machineguns and Bailout, as well as NAMG saving Steamboat and Tito from a Bailout beatdown last week.

Match 4: Chris Sabin w/ Jimmy Jacobs vs Elijah Burke w/ Davey Richards
They went to the mat to start, and when Sabin started to outwrestle him, Burke began throwing strikes. Sabin tried to meet him with punches of his own, but Burke used boxing stuff to keep in control. He tried to start throwing out big punches, but Sabin was able to dodge most of them and fly around. He turned Burke inside out with a Springboard Dropkick, so Burke slid to the outside. He went to climb back in, but he took a cheap shot at Jacobs instead! Jacobs went to attack, but Davey leveled him with a kick to the side of the head! Sabin ran out to get at Davey, but Burke pulled him back and hit a Reverse DDT on the floor!

--Commercial Break--

Burke had Sabin down in the ring, working over the back of the head that he planted on the floor before the break. He worked a Rear Naked Chinlock for a while, but Sabin eventually got up and made a brief comeback. He tried the Cradle Shock out of nowhere, but Burke elbowed his way down and hit the Pimp Slap! He lined up for the Elijah Express, but Sabin moved! He kicked at Burke’s knees, and then bumped him around a bunch. Davey tried to get involved, but Jacobs tackled him away! Sabin lined up for a Superkick, but Burke ducked and grabbed a roll-up! ONE … TWO … THRE - Sabin got out! Burke tried another Pimp Slap, but Sabin ducked and swept out his legs! He climbed up top for his Flying Leg Drop, but Burke moved! Sabin staggered up and Burke delivered a BIG forearm to the back of the head, and then went for the Bankrupt Bomb, but Sabin body dropped away! He lined up for a Superkick, but Davey grabbed his leg! Jacobs ran across to get him again, and Sabin tried to kick him, and with the ref’s attention there, Burke snuck in his pimp cane and nailed Sabin in the back of the head! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Elijah Burke (12:39)

Burke got up and celebrated, and Davey joined him. Jacobs climbed in the ring and started to attack, and eventually Sabin joined in! Both teams brawled for a bit, but when the faces got an advantage, Bailout escaped to the back.

Backstage, Alex Shelley said that everybody is gunning for him, and that just shows why he is the best in the world and that he holds the most prestigious championships in the entire business. He said that he is the King of the World already, and come Sunday, none of these fools would stop him from becoming King of the Mountain too.

--Commercial Break—

Backstage, Don West had Matt Morgan with him, and he introduced him as his first client here in TNA! He talked up the Blueprint, and called him the future of the company.

Commentary announced that New Age Machineguns/Steamboat/Tito vs Bailout/The Redcoats had been signed to Slammiversary in a bonus match.

Rhino and Angelina Love were in the back, and Rhino said he heard she was messing around on Alex. Love was offended, but he said he was just wondering because if she was going to be making Sunny Days, he’d be interested. She stormed off.

Chuck Taylor and Roderick Strong were in the back talking strategy for tonight.

--Commercial Break--

Brian Kendrick was alone backstage, and Lauren came up. She asked how his relationship with Paul London would come into play on Sunday. He said that he didn’t tell London he was returning for KOTM because he didn’t return to be a tag team partner. He returned to win the X-Division Championship from that piece of shit Alex Shelley.

Match 5: Bryan Danielson vs Frankie Kazarian w/ Jimmy Rave & Daffney
Danielson totally bitched Kaz out on the mat with amateur stuff, so Kaz tried submission holds, but lol. Danielson worked his arms, legs, and neck in several intricate holds, seemingly toying with him. A bunch of cheating eventually let Kaz mount some offense, and he too locked in some holds on Danielson’s limbs, but they were not good. Danielson pulled his way out of a shitty arm bar and tried to counter into the LeBell Lock, but Kaz grabbed the ropes. He started striking some, but Danielson struck back with elbows and kicks. He started throwing Kaz around a bit, but Kaz rolled through the Eagle-Plex! He tried his Fade to Black, but Danielson got his legs free and rolled him up! ONE … TWO … THR - Kaz kicked out, but Danielson put him right into the LeBell Lock! He struggled for a while, but finally tapped out!
Winner via submission: Bryan Danielson (6:54)

Danielson celebrated in the ring and up the ramp, but at the stage, Christopher Daniels came out and attacked him! He threw him back into the ring, where Ravarian pounced on him. After a bit, Daniels planted him with the Angel’s Wings and celebrated over his body.

--Commercial Break—

Chris Hero plugged his match with Tyson Dux for a TV Title shot this coming Impact from the booth.

Match 6: The Hooliganz vs Roderick Strong/Chuck Taylor
X-Division tag match, with a bunch of high-flying at the start. The Hooliganz began to gel into their groove, and so they started to bump both guys around. Taylor turned it around by doing his insane amount of pinning combinations for nearfalls all in a row, so London and Kendrick threw him to the outside. They ran off the ropes for a Double Suicide Dive, BUT STRONG KILLED LONDON WITH A SICK KICK WHILE HE WAS RUNNING! Kendrick still hit Chuck, but then he turned around into a Plancha from Roddy!

--Commercial Break--

London was being worked over in the ring, after that insane kick from Strong before the break. Chuck was clearly the shakier of the two, so he’d get in some basic stuff, and then Strong would come in and really wear him down. :pmdpm finally swatted away Taylor’s Sloppy As Hell Knee Lift and tagged out to Kendrick! He flew around for his hot tag, but he couldn’t get a finish to it. He wasn’t ever isolated either, so it turned into a back-and-forth ordeal. Eventually, Alex Shelley came down to ringside, AND IMMEDIATELY KENDRICK TOOK HIM OUT WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! He kept wailing, but London herded him back to the ring. He started taking it out on Chuck Taylor, who was pretty much helpless. The ref had to pull Kendrick off several times, and eventually London came in to cool him down. Kendrick instinctively shoved him, then turned right into a Chuckie roll-up! ONE … TWO … THRE - London pulled Chuck off! Strong got in, but London low bridged him to the outside, where he fell onto Shelley, who was just getting up! Chuck staggered up and London tried a clothesline, BUT TAYLOR DUCKED AND IT HIT KENDRICK! Chuck used his Sloppy As Hell Dropkick to send London out, and he got Kendrick with an inside cradle! ONE … TWO … THREE! CHUCK WINS!
Winners via pinfall: Roderick Strong/Chuck Taylor (13:09)

Kendrick got up and he couldn’t believe it! Chuck Taylor couldn’t either! London slid in and helped Kendrick up, but Kendrick shoved him! They argued, and Shelley slid in and pushed London into Kendrick! He started kicking at them both, but Strong slid in and attacked Shelley! A big brawl broke out, and Shelley stood tall after hitting Strong with the Shellshock! He returned up the ramp with Rhino and Angelina Love, and he held his X-Division Championship high in the air.

Commentary hyped up the Slammiversary card, and then sent it to a replay of what happened at the end of Impact with the RETURN OF STING~!

WELCOME TO THE BIRTHPLACE OF TNA: THE ASYLUM RIGHT HERE IN NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE! Big pyros went off and commentary ran down the card.

Brian Kendrick arrived by himself in the back, and when he saw a camera he shouted that the Era of Alex ends tonight.

Booker T came down to ringside to watch.

Match 1: Jay Lethal vs Consequences Creed
They started with a handshake, but Creed held on and pulled him right into a hammerlock! He went after his arm and elbow immediately, and commentary speculated he wanted to stop the Lethal Elbow as soon as possible. Lethal came back with some high-flying, and Creed met him with that. Lethal got on a big role after a bunch of dropkicks, but when he went up top for the Flying Axe Handle, Creed kicked his arm in midair! He pounced on it with kicks and stomps, and when he started to use the ropes to pry, Booker T looked concerned. He stood up, and Creed backed off, and it let Lethal catch him with an Enzuigiri! Creed rolled to the outside, and Lethal ran off the ropes for a No-Hands Suicide Dive! They brawled on the outside and it got sort of heated with punches and stuff, so Lethal took it back in the ring. He tried to end it with some high-impact moves, but when he went for the Lethal Combination, Creed countered with an arm-breaker! He went to lock in a FUJIWARA~, but Lethal pulled him into an inside cradle! ONE … TWO … THRE - Creed got out! He immediately struck with a big right hand, and then followed up with some jabs. He tried his big uppercut, but Lethal blocked it and hit his EnzuFury! Lethal pulled himself up and went up top for the Elbow, but Creed got up to block him! They fought for a while, but Lethal exploded with headbutts! He shoved Creed down, and then came off with the Lethal Elbow with his good arm! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Jay Lethal (10:02)

Lethal got up and celebrated some, and then went back to help up his tag team partner. Creed looked uneasy at first, but then shook Lethal’s hand and held up his arm! The two hugged, and Booker T applauded for them as they joined him, and they all three went to the back together.

Team Canada arrived backstage in a limousine, and Christian Cage smirked at the camera as he patted his World Championship.

Match 2: New Age Machineguns/Richie Steamboat/Tito Santana vs Bailout/The Redcoats
SPRIIIINT. Tito was the last guy to get in to run through spots, but he got caught in some cheating from the Redcoats, and Dave Taylor actually beat the shit out of the old man! Tito finally caught Davey with his Tito Flying Forearm, and tagged in Sabin! He cleaned up, and Jacobs got in as well for some double-team stuff. It sort of broke down with everybody getting in, but Dave Taylor got caught with the NAMG, and they hit the Veg-O-Matic to win.
Winners via pinfall: New Age Machineguns/Richie Steamboat/Tito Santana (7:22)

Storm came right in with a lariat takedown, and he started just wailing at Jarrett. He really bumped him around and seemed to be having a good time doing it. Jarrett finally rolled out, and took a cheap opportunity to bang Storm’s leg into the ring post. He kicked at it some and tried the Figure Four, but Storm shoved him off and caught him coming back with a Harley Race Knee with the good leg! Paul London cut a promo in the back and he said that he only needs one thing tonight. He doesn’t need a chick, he doesn’t need a blunt, and he doesn’t need a tag team partner. He NEEDS the X-Division Championship.

Alex Shelley went to Kevin Nash backstage and said he was so proud to be making history tonight. He’s the first ever X-Division champion to defend the belt in a King of the Mountain match, AND it’s his first time ever main eventing a PPV. Nash smiled, but then stopped himself and said that, actually he’s on second-to-last, because the TNA World Championship match is still the main event. Shelley was irate and shouted that this is a travesty, and he stormed off.

Kurt Angle was backstage with Lauren, and he said that he and his partner obviously have a lot of history, but at the end of the day, Sting is the Conscience of TNA, and he knows when something’s wrong and when something’s right, and sure as hell the bullshit that Team Canada has done is just that--bullshit. Angle said that Roode and Young were about to get an ass kicking that they’ve deserved for a long time now. IT’S SHOWTIME, FOLKS!

Hype video, you know the drill. It highlighted Angle being unable to pin Roode before Sting came to his aid.

Roode and Young came out together, and then Kurt Angle came out. They waited around a bit AND THEN THE LIGHTS WHEN OUT! Sting’s music hit and everyone marked out, and Sting came out to a thunderous ovation.

Match 4: Sting/Kurt Angle vs Robert Roode/Eric Young
As Sting was taking off his trench coat, Roode and Young both attacked, BUT HE FOUGHT BACK AND BUMPED THEM BOTH AROUND! He did his spiel in his big return, and everybody loved it. He brawled around like he’s had success with Roode in the past, and topped it off with his Flying Forearm! OLYMPIC MOONSAULT TO ROODE! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Sting/Kurt Angle (7:40)

Angle got up and celebrated at FINALLY pinning Roode, and Sting gave him a nod. Angle reached out for a handshake, and Sting returned it, AND THEN THE LIGHTS WENT OFF~!~! When they came back on, Sting was gone! Angle looked confused, but he celebrated as Roode got up PISSED.

The Enlightened were helping Daniels get ready for his match, but when they went to leave, Daniels said that he didn’t need their help.

Roderick Strong talked with Lauren in the back, and he said that he should be facing Shelley one-on-one here, but more opponents just means more people he gets to beat. He said he’s been in this company for over 18 months now, and he’s been slowly racking up wins, and tonight will be the biggest of his career.

Match 5: Christopher Daniels vs Bryan Danielson
They went to the mat for a while, and Danielson totally dominated at first. Daniels took a few breaks, but eventually he stepped up his game and started to get in some holds on Danielson. He started working over his back because that’s all he could really get at. Danielson started to kick his way out of it, and he topped it off with a big Buzzsaw Kick! ONE … TWO … THRE - Daniels kicked out! He freaked out and rolled to the outside, but he had the Tope Suicida scouted. Danielson climbed out anyway, but Daniels drove him back-first into the guard rail, then did a Side Russian Legsweep into it! He threw Danielson back in and kept him on the mat, working in elbows and throws. He finally settled with an Abdominal Stretch, but Danielson quickly rolled it through and came off the ropes with a big dropkick! He got on a roll, and the match turned into a big sprint. Danielson was the only one that had to sell anything, his back, and both guys just went back-and-forth with big stuff to try to get the win when they could. Danielson got a bunch of nearfalls that freaked Daniels out, so he quickly tried to end it. Daniels flopped down onto his stomach on the mat, and Danielson stood up! FLYING HEADBUTT TO THE BACK OF DANIELS’ SKULL! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Bryan Danielson (12:56)

Danielson got up and celebrated to the back. When Daniels came to, he flipped out and threw a tantrum in the ring.

Chuck Taylor cut a promo backstage and said that having slain Goliath, that makes him TNA’s David. And eventually, David became King. Tonight, King Chuck Taylor takes his throne.

HYPE PACKAGE~.

Match 6: AJ Styles/Low Ki[c] vs Samoa Joe/Homicide [TNA Tag Team Championship]
Homicide vs Styles to start, and it immediately got super aggressive on the mat. Styles worked a really tight headlock, so Homicide started choking him to get him off! The ref pulled them apart, but they jumped at each other and started fighting again! The ref threatened to throw the match out, so Joe and Low Ki tagged in. They had a respectful lock up, but Joe used his power to just totally muscle Ki around. Low Ki started kicking at his legs to take him down, but Joe shoved him off and avalanched him in the corner! He started to throw him around, but Low Ki jumped through a body drop and came falling down with a big kick to the side of the head! Joe started to get wobbly, but Low Ki couldn’t put him down, so he tagged in AJ! They worked together with combined kicks, elbows, and punches, and Joe started to sway! They both ran off the ropes, but JOE LEVELED THEM WITH A DOUBLE LARIAT! Joe tagged out to Homicide, and again Styles was the legal man, so ‘Cide pounced on him with brutal punches and elbows, right to AJ’s skull. He started just beating him around, kicking and punching him in the face when he could. Homicide got too cocky with it, and Styles easily got out of a vertical suplex and hit the Pele Kick! He tagged out to Low Ki, who came in with a big hot tag to ‘Cide, and then knocked Joe off the apron! He raged on ‘Cide and topped it off with the Springboard Roundhouse! He pulled him off the top and ran off the ropes for the West Brooklyn Lariat, but Low Ki ducked and hit a big roundhouse! He tried to lock in the Dragon Clutch, but Homicide got to the ropes. Low Ki pulled him back off, but Homicide kicked him away and hit a few big slaps, and then a big elbow to set him off! He tried for the 187, but Low Ki shoved him away and hit some big kicks, then a Shining Wiz - NO! BLACK MAGIC~!~! He climbed up top for the Ghetto Stomp, but Homicide moved! He crawled over and tagged out to Joe! He rushed the ring and immediately just started beating the shit out of Low Ki with chops, slaps, and jabs. He started to throw him around, but Low Ki flipped through the Muscle Buster and came off the ropes with a BIG Gamengiri! Tag out to AJ Styles! He climbed in, and Joe was reeling, SO HE LOCKED IN HIS ANTI-JOE HEADLOCK! Joe immediately fought away from it big, and he delivered some big elbows, and then threw him off with a big German Suplex! He started kicking at him, so Styles finally shoved him off and slapped him in the face! Joe got in his face, and Styles shoved him, and then exploded with chops! Joe chopped him back, so Styles came back with punches, elbows, and kicks. Joe was pissed now, and he started unleashing his offense on AJ. They did their AJ/Joe thing for a bit, but when AJ started to try to get quick pinning combinations, Joe slid out to get some room. Styles lined up for his Fosbury Flop, but HOMICIDE CAME IN AND INTERCEPTED WITH A 187! Low Ki rushed the ring and tackled Homicide down, and they brawled out of the ring. He stumbled up, and Joe connected with the full Chimera-Plex! He stood right up, but Styles leveled him with the Springboard Elbow Smash! Homicide grabbed him and tried the Gringo Killer, but Styles rolled through and hit the Pele Kick! STYLES CLASH! ONE … TWO … THRE - JOE BROKE IT UP! Joe pulled AJ up for the Muscle Buster, but Low Ki pulled him down and hopped on Joe’s back, and locked in the Dragon Clutch! Homicide staggered to his feet, and Low Ki hit the Spinning Backfist! Styles Clash! GHETTO STOMP! Low Ki pulled Joe out of the ring and kept him down on the outside, while AJ Styles climbed up top! SPIRAL TAP~!~!~! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall and still TNA Tag Team Champions: AJ Styles/Low Ki (26:08)

AJ Styles pulled himself up, and then celebrated big. Low Ki rolled in, AND HUGGED AJ STYLES! YEAH TAG TEAM UNITY! Styles and Ki celebrated in the ring, and Homicide was pissed. Joe calmed him down and they left together, leaving the retaining champs to celebrate in the ring.

Backstage, Lauren caught up with James Storm backstage, and he was all excited. He said he was back, his arm was fully healed, and he was ready to make an impact in TNA.

Christopher Daniels was raging in the back, throwing stuff. He kept shouting about how it took him NINE YEARS~ to get to the top, and he’d be damned if he fell back down the ladder now.

Alex Shelley cut a long promo in the back about how tonight was supposed to be his main event, but that doesn’t even matter anymore. What matters is that he goes out and shows that he’s not just the best in the X-Division, but that he’s the best in the company. He said that tonight he reserves a place in TNA history by becoming the King of the Mountain, and the strongest champion of any belt in TNA history.

A huge hype package played to build up the X-Division KOTM. First of all, how the match came to be with Shelley determined to establish the X-Division Title as the premier championship in the company. Then it went over Shelley taking out Kendrick, the hot Shelley/London feud, Strong winning X-Scape but Nash screwing him out of a one-on-one match, Taylor getting a MASSIVE MASSIVE upset over Hernandez to get everyone’s attention, and how they all ended up here.

Match 7: Alex Shelley[c] vs Roderick Strong vs Paul London vs Brian Kendrick vs Chuck Taylor [X-Division Championship – King of the Mountain – Title Defense #18]
Who qualified first? CHUCK TAYLOR BY PINING ALEX SHELLEY WITH A ROLL UP! He marked out, but then Shelley laid him out before going into the penalty box. The other three guys kept trying to attack, but Chuck got them all with roll-ups all in a roll! All of them were in the penalty box! Chuck grabbed a ladder and started climbing, but Shelley was let out and JUST stopped him. Shelley then pinned Chuck to qualify, Strong pinned Kendrick, Kendrick pinned London, and London pinned Shelley! Lots of high-flying and stuff. SPOTS, SPOTS, SPOTS. The Hooliganz worked together for some nutty spots, but they sort of fell apart when both of their hate for Alex Shelley led them to compete for getting at him. Those three fighting aggressively with each other led to a bunch of close calls for both Strong and Taylor, but neither could finish it. Kendrick got really frustrated at being unable to get at Shelley on his own, so he started trying to pin people to get them out of his way! He didn’t really have much success, until he convinced London to work with him for a Double Superkick on Strong, BUT THEN KENDRICK GRABBED LONDON AND HIT THE SLICED BREAD #2! ONE … TWO … THREE! London went to the penalty box! Kendrick tried it on Strong, but he caught him and hit the Strong Backbreaker! He pulled him up and tried the Death By Roderick, BUT CHUCK TAYLOR RAN OVER AND LEVELED THEM BOTH WITH A LADDER! He turned around, but Shelley grabbed him and HIT A SHELLSHOCK ONTO THE LADDER! All the guys were down, except for London, who was stuck in the penalty box! Shelley flipped him the bird and climbed up the ladder, and London was trapped and couldn’t do anything to stop him! Shelley got the top and unstrapped the belt to retain!
Winner and still X-Division Champion: Alex Shelley (19:28)

Shelley dropped to the mat with his belt, and Angelina Love and Rhino ran down to help him. He strapped it around his waist as London was raging in the penalty cage, and everybody else was down around the ring. Shelley celebrated to the back and shouted that he’s KING OF THE MOUNTAIN, KING OF THE WORLD.

Christian Cage was walking out towards the arena in the back, and he gave the camera his cocky wink as he passed by.

Monty Brown cut a crazy black promo backstage, but calmed down and said that seriously, winning that belt would mean everything to him, and that’s what he’s going to do tonight.

The hype video went over all of the confrontations between Christian and Monty, going back to Monty leaving Team Canada to forge his own path. It touched on Christian stealing the title from him at the Sacrifice Triple Threat, and then the alliance between Team Canada and The Enlightened to keep Monty Brown down. Booker T had everybody banned from ringside for this match, however.

Match 8: Christian Cage[c] vs Monty Brown [TNA World Championship]
Christian did a hit-and-run strategy, which only pissed Monty off. He finally got fed up and lunged for an attack, and he did get in some good strikes, but Christian quickly went for the leg that had been targeted on Impact for like the last month! It built up basically from there, with the whole story around Monty slowly wearing down due to his hurt leg, but all of his punches still sending Christian flying. Monty is a big guy and pretty much killed Christian, and Christian bumped big for him. Eventually Monty’s leg prevented him from moving around much, so Christian took him down with a chop block, and then locked in the Edgecator! Monty got to the ropes, but Christian stayed on the leg. He tried to put it in again, but Monty kicked him off! Christian came staggering back, RIGHT INTO THE ALPHA BOMB! His leg gave out on him, but he crawled over toward Christian. By the time he got there though, Christian managed to roll out of the ring! Monty got himself together and rolled out after Christian, then rolled him back in and covered! ONE … TWO … THRE - Christian got an arm up! Monty pulled him up and tried the POUNCE~, but his leg gave out and he couldn’t get off the ropes! He stumbled down, and Christian tried the Unprettier, but Monty blocked and pulled him up in the air! His leg gave out a bit, and it let Christian slid down and grab a roll-up, prying down on the hurt leg! And he grabbed the ropes to help! ONE … TWO … THRE - NO! Monty JUST got out! Christian quickly tried the Unprettier, but Monty shoved him off! He ran off the ropes for the POUNCE~, but Christian dove down and chopped at Monty’s legs! He stumbled forward, and Christian kicked out his knee and he crashed into the ref. The ref stayed up, but Christian kicked Monty in the balls! UNPRETTIER! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall and still TNA World Champion: Christian Cage (13:31)

Cage popped up and almost couldn’t believe it! It turned to joy though as he paraded with his TNA Championship! Monty got up and was PISSED, but Cage rolled out and celebrated up the ramp. His stablemates coalesced on the stage, and they stood tall to close the show.

Right after the opening credits, the show faded into Alex Shelley standing in the middle of the ring! He said that he’s the first thing we’re seeing after Slammiversary; not Sting, not Kurt Angle, not Low Ki, not Paul London, not Monty Brown, not Christian Cage, and not AJ Styles. He said that there was only one real winner at Slammiversary, and that was yours truly. He put himself over, as well as the X-Division Championship. He said that he’s done all he can to prove that the X-Division Championship is the best belt in the company, and still there are doubters. And so, there’s only one thing left he can do: AND ALEX SHELLEY DECLARED HIMSELF #1 CONTENDER TO THE TNA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. He said he was going to win that belt with ease and prove that his own belt has been the mark of The Man all along.

Christian Cage came out and obviously took objection to that, saying that he’s not out looking for title contenders right now, but thanks anyway. They traded words, but then AJ Styles and Low Ki came out! Styles said that he and Low Ki are the highest profile and best tag team champs that the company has ever seen, and that any tag team division has seen since Morton and Gibson. That said, he said that Alex Shelley is bush league, and nowhere near the level to declare himself a contender to the TNA World Championship. Shelley got in his face and challenged him to go right now, but it all stopped when Monty Brown came out! He said that he should still be at the top of that list given the way his title match went last night. He climbed into the ring, and everybody stepped away, but Low Ki stepped up and got in his face, and then turned and pointed at Cage’s belt.

Booker T came out and said he could settle all of this, and he said that Shelley, Monty, Styles, and Low Ki all make good points, and as far as he can see, Shelley vs Styles vs Low Ki vs Monty sounds like a hell of a number one contender’s match for next week. But for this week, it seems like an excellent opportunity for a big main event tonight, with ALL FOUR CHAMPIONS IN THE SAME MATCH. He said he’d let Monty Brown take a night off to heal his leg, but the other four would be in action. And it would be CHRISTIAN CAGE/ALEX SHELLEY VS AJ STYLES/LOW KI!

--Commercial Break--

Commentary reacted to the huge main event of Daniels/Shelley vs Styles/Low Ki, and also hyped Hero vs Dux, Storm vs Morgan, and Robert Roode in action.

Match 1: Bailout vs No Limit
Mostly a showcase for Bailout, but Burke also did a bunch of taunting. Naito kicked Davey in the face, so he raged on him with elbows and straight punches. He tried a Saito Suplex, but Naito armdragged away! Takahashi used flippity stuff to bounce Davey around, but Burke made a hot tag and shoved him into the corner to hit the Elijah Express! He yanked him up and hit the Bankrupt Bomb to win.
Winners via pinfall: Bailout (3:17)

Bailout celebrated in the ring, and then Burke said to watch Xplosion to see them crush Sabin/Jacobs and then challenge for the tag titles.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary talked about Hero’s impressive debut, eventually retiring TNA mainstay Petey Williams. Tyson Dux requested this match for retribution, and Booker T made it for a shot at the TV Title next week. Chad Collyer came out to do commentary.

Match 2: Chris Hero vs Tyson Dux [TV Title Opportunity On The Line]
They played a mat game, and Tyson went after the right elbow desperately. Hero used his superior size and strength though to really dominate. He started bumping Dux around, until Dux tied his arm up in the ropes and fully wrapped his body around to really twist at it. He tried to put in a Fujiwara, but Hero flipped him over into a pin! ONE … TWO … THRE - Dux got out! Hero started dominating on the mat again, and he started just stomping at Dux’s head. He pulled him up and tried a cravate, but Dux drove him forward and they fell through the ropes! They both fought around the floor, with Dux slowly wearing away at Hero by going for his arm. He tried to drive his elbow into the ring post, but Hero reversed it and rammed Dux into it instead! Dux bounced back, and Hero slammed him on the floor. He rolled him in and lined up to try again to debut his Cyclone Kill, but Dux ducked again. He pulled out Hero’s legs and tried for the Sharpshooter, but Hero kicked him away! Dux came bouncing back into a CRAVATE SUPLEX! ONE … TWO … THRE - Dux kicked out! Hero pulled him up and tried the Hero’s Welcome, but Dux hit at the arm to break free. He nailed a jawbreaker and a quick lariat, AND HE CALLED FOR IT TOO! THE CANADIAN DESTROYER! Hero shoved away and tried the Rolling Elbow, but Dux ducked! He went for his North of the Border Brainbuster, but Hero held his weight. He exploded with a big elbow that sent Dux staggering, AND HERO CHARGED WITH THE CYCLONE KILL! DUX FLIPPED INSIDE OUT! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Chris Hero (7:21)

Hero got up and celebrated. Collyer said Hero looked impressive, but he was sure he couldn’t beat him. Hero pointed to Collyer’s title and signaled for it around his waist. Collyer told everyone to see impressive in his match later tonight.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Don West had his infomercial boots on and he talked up Matt Morgan. He said that they had a big opportunity tonight to face James Storm, and they were taking advantage of it.

Lauren caught Kurt Angle backstage and snagged a quick interview. He said that he’s been obsessed with beating Robert Roode, and the Icon Sting helped him do that, and he’ll always be grateful for that.

Booker T was in his office, and the 2 Crazy Negroes came in! Book said he was proud of them for patching up their differences, and he said that he was going to reward them with a tag team title match soon. As they left, Christopher Daniels stormed in. He shouted about how it took him NINE YEARS~ to get to the top, and he wanted in that #1 contender’s match for next week. Book thought about it, and said that Daniels lost at Slammiversary, so he’d have to put in Bryan Danielson before him. He thought it over, and decided to make it a 6-Pack Challenge next week, adding both Daniels and Danielson to it!

--Commercial Break--

Samoa Joe and Homicide were backstage, and Homicide was raging about Slammiversary, and being left off the card. Joe told him to calm down, and Homicide got in his face. He said that Joe used to be a badass, and now he’s just Joe Cool. He said he wanted the old Joe back, and then maybe he’d have a reason not to be so pissed all the time.

Footage played of James Storm returning at Slammiversary to beat Jeff Jarrett.

Match 3: James Storm w/ Jackie Moore vs Matt Morgan w/ Don West
Storm came right in with a bunch of fire again. He immediately took Morgan down to a knee, but when he came off for a clothesline, Morgan caught him with a Sidewalk Slam! He beat him down some and worked the midsection, and the whole time Don West was shouting stuff in his super obnoxious voice. Storm made some comebacks for close nearfalls, but at one point Don West jumped onto the apron. The ref went over to get him down, AND JEFF JARRETT SNUCK DOWN TO THE RING! He grabbed Storm from behind AND HIT THE STROKE! He snuck out, and Morgan called the ref and picked Storm up for the CHOKEBOMB! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Matt Morgan (6:45)

Morgan got up and celebrated, and Don West joined him in the ring. Jarrett backed up the ring laughing, and Storm got up PISSED.

--Commercial Break--

James Storm was in the back, and he said that Jeff Jarrett would pay.

Match 4: Bryan Danielson/Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong vs Elix Skipper/Raven/D’Lo Brown
Kind of a sprint, but Raven slowed it down by throwing punches at everyone. Danielson got in and started kicking the shit out of him, so Raven tackled him down to the mat. They brawled, but Danielson threw some forearms and then got off the Eagle-Plex! Shit broke down, and D’Lo got stuck in Collyer’s Crossface Chickenwing to end it.
Winners via submission: Bryan Danielson/Roderick Strong (4:30)

Daniels, Strong, and Collyer celebrated in the ring. All of a sudden, The Enlightened came down and attacked, gunning for Danielson! Collyer and Strong helped him fight back, and then Skipper, Raven, and D’Lo joined in to send them off! Daniels was irate as he and his crew backed up the ramp.

--Commercial Break--

Alex Shelley was backstage, and Christian Cage walked up. He told him to listen up, because the World Champ had some pointers for their main event. Shelley stopped him there and told him that his belt doesn’t mean shit, and he walked off!

Match 5: Robert Roode vs Mr. Wrestling IV
Absolute murder here. Roode was PISSED, and he really let it show with stiff punches. He chucked him around some, and then hit Olympic Slam! He pulled him back up and hit the Scorpion Death Drop! He yanked him up once more and hit the Payoff to finish it.
Winner via pinfall: Robert Roode (1:21)

Roode rolled out and grabbed a microphone and said that he always has beat Kurt Angle and he always can, and TERRIBLE HUMAN BEING STING INSERTING HIMSELF WHEREVER HE WANTS CAN’T STOP THAT JESUS I HATE YOU STING YOU’RE THE WORST. Kurt Angle, I can still beat your ass anytime, anyplace. He hit Mr. Wrestling IV with another Roode Awakening, and then raged to the back shouting that Angle still can’t beat him one-on-one.

Low Ki was walking in the back, and Homicide walked up to him. He asked when he was going to be finished teaming with that tool. Ki scoffed, and kept walking.

--Commercial Break--

Monty Brown came down to ringside to watch.

Match 6: Christian Cage/Alex Shelley vs AJ Styles/Low Ki [Non-Title]
Christian and Low Ki started, and I like to think it ruled. Good size versus speed stuff, but Ki was still able to get Christian off his feet with strikes and even a Butterfly Suplex! Christian started with some cheating to take over, and Shelley got in to continue it. They tried to isolate him, but they couldn’t really get on the same page, and Low Ki hit a Double Shotgun Dropkick! Styles tagged in and cleaned house quickly, and Low Ki joined him. They knocked around the two singles champions and used some of their double-team stuff, but Christian bailed. Shelley started taking all of it, so he bailed too. Styles and Ki lined up, fist bumped, and hit STEREO SUICIDE DIVES!!!

--Commercial Break--

The tag champs kept on control with their superior chemistry. Shelley was super violent with Styles, and Christian did a ton of veteran cheating. Once Christian and Shelley got onto the same page, it became much more back-and-forth with extended Christian/Styles, Christian/Low Ki, and Shelley/Low Ki segments. Shelley was fine taking potshots at AJ, and he eventually goaded him into being isolated by the heels. Shelley went viciously after his arm, and then had Christian do the same.
