TNA iMPACT: To LAX or Not To LAX?
iMPACT Zone
Orlando, Florida
June 3, 2010

Commentary ran down the card of Alex Shelley vs Roderick Strong, Styles/Amazing Red vs Joe/Collyer, LAX vs Angle/Tomko, and more. For now, this:

Match 1: Jimmy Rave/Elix Skipper vs Consequences Creed/Booker T
Skipper was the bitch here, and got beat around from the very start. When Booker T went up top, Daffney ran out to cause a distraction, allowing Skipper to tag out to Rave. Booker jumped off anyway for a Missile Dropkick, but Rave moved out of the way! He dragged Booker T over to his corner heading into the commercial break.

--Commercial Break--

Rave and Skipper tagged back and forth to keep Booker isolated, but he managed to block a Rave suplex and counter into one of his own. They both got up, and Booker T hit a big roundhouse and then made the hot tag! Creed came in ON FIRE~ and delivered clotheslines to both guys. He sent Skipper to the outside, and then hit Rave with the MontiFisto, following by a springboard neckbreaker! ONE … TWO … THR – Rave kicked out. Creed picked him up for the Fireman’s Carry Cutter, but Rave raked at the eyes to get down and then grabbed a backslide! ONE … TWO … THRE – Creed kicked out! Rave crawled over to tag in Skipper, but Creed tagged in Booker T as well! Booker batted Skipper around, and ended up hitting a big Stalling Spinebuster! ONE … TWO … THRE – Rave broke it up! Creed ran into the ring and tackled Rave to the outside! Booker called for the Axe Kick, but Kaz ran down! Booker yelled at him to get the hell away, AND LETHAL RAN DOWN AND TACKLED KAZ TO THE GROUND YEAH! Booker T turned back to face Skipper, AND DANIELS WAS IN THE RING! But the ref was focused on Kaz and Lethal! Last Rites to Booker T! Daniels dragged Skipper over Booker and shouted for the ref’s attention! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Jimmy Rave/Elix Skipper (12:56)

The Enlightened celebrated up the ramp as Creed and Lethal helped Booker to his feet, and he looked pissed.

Planet Jarrett arrived backstage, and Chuck Taylor walked by, so Roode stopped him. He told Taylor that he heard a loud noise earlier so he should check it out. Taylor asked where, and Roode slapped him across the face, and said there.

Chris Sabin was backstage and Jacobs was trying to talk him out of facing Shelley at Slammiversary, but Sabin insisted he needed to.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Alex Shelley w/ Rhino vs Roderick Strong [Non-Title]
Shelley showed off his finesse on the mat, and then began to get brutal by shoving Strong’s face into the mat and turnbuckle. Strong made a brief comeback after fighting out of the Border City Stretch, and he managed to lift Shelley into a pendulum backbreaker for a two-count! Shelley got up and tried the Shellshock, but Strong spun out and hit an STO backbreaker! ONE … TWO … THR – Shelley kicked out! Strong pulled him up and got him into a standing half nelson, but Shelley wrestled away and shoved him into the ropes, where Rhino grabbed his leg. Strong turned around to look at Rhino, and Shelley got him from behind with the Shellshock! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Alex Shelley (3:22)

Shelley celebrated in the ring with his title, but Sabin came down! Sabin asked if Shelley would show up for the fight, AND SHELLEY JUST BASHED SABIN IN THE HEAD WITH THE TITLE. He picked up the microphone and said he’d be there, but said that Sabin would regret it.

Backstage, Booker T found Daniels and told him to NEVER put his hands on him again. Daniels laughed, poked him, and then walked off. Booker T looked furious.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: AJ Styles/Amazing Red vs Samoa Joe/Chad Collyer
Apparently Collyer felt snubbed at Styles not picking him, so he wanted to start against AJ. He held his own on the mat, and even ended up getting some amateur-style pins, but when AJ upped the speed, Collyer got caught up. Styles hit his dropkick sequence, and then he and Red worked together to bust out high-flying moves without getting tired. Collyer finally caught a Red crossbody and hit a huge belly-to-belly, then tagged in Joe! He ran and kiiiiiilled Red with chops and headbutts, and then used his atomic drop/single-leg dropkick/running senton combination! ONE … TWO … THR – Red kicked out! Joe pulled him right up and hit a powerbomb! ONE … TWO … THRE – Red kicked out, but Joe turned it right into a Boston Crab! Red struggled toward the ropes, and when he got close, Joe turned it into an STF! Red finally made it to the ropes! Joe pulled him right up and started to bump him around, and Collyer joined in to do the same. After both guys took turns tossing him around like a rag doll, Collyer hit a German Suplex while Joe nailed a Lariat! ONE … TWO … THRE – Styles broke it up! Joe pulled Styles up by the neck and got in his face, and Styles slapped him across the face! Joe started to raaaaaage with chops, and then used a running headbutt to dump him to the outside! Collyer grabbed Red and went for a German Suplex, but Red flipped through and hit a reverse frankensteiner! ONE … TWO … THR – Collyer kicked out! Joe charged at Red, but he ducked, and Styles grabbed Joe from the outside and pulled him to the ground. Joe tried a lariat, but Styles ducked and hit the Pele on the floor! In the ring, Collyer went for a T-Bone Suplex, but Red elbowed out and hit his Satellite DDT! Styles tagged himself in and went up top for the Styles Clash, BUT COLLYER MOVED! Styles staggered up, and Collyer went for a German, but Styles broke out. Collyer tried a right hand, but Styles ducked, then poked Collyer in the eye! He immediately followed up with the Styles Clash! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: AJ Styles/Amazing Red (9:03)

Styles slid out of the ring and celebrated to the back. Collyer got up and looked frustrated, but Joe told him to forget it and they went to the back together.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Samoa Joe told Lauren that AJ Styles is officially a coward. He said he doesn’t blame AJ, because the only way to beat Samoa Joe is the coward’s way out, but even then, it won’t be enough at Slammiversary.

Match 4: Team Canada vs No Limit
Squash, drawn out by Team Canada taunting. Dux made Yujiro tap to the Sharpshooter.
Winners via submission: Team Canada (2:01)

Team Canada celebrated in the ring, but another pre-taped AMW promo came on, with them still in Canada. This time they were in the Canadian National Wildlife Refuge, and they were moose hunting.

--Commercial Break--

Match 5: Low Ki vs Patrick Schulz w/ The Axis Powers
This was mainly Low Ki running through his offense, but all the Powers kept getting involved. Schulz got to show off some of his offense for one of the first times in a singles match, and he managed to get off a really hard spinebuster from right off the ropes. He went to work on the back right away, but Ki countered out of a powerbomb and hit a big Koppu Kick! He ran off the ropes, but Koslov grabbed his leg. Low Ki spat at him, and then ran off the ropes and TOOK KOSLOV OUT WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! He rolled back in the ring, AND SCHULZ HIT THE WUNDERBAR (Death Valley Driver into a double knee backbreaker)! ONE … TWO … THRE – Low Ki kicked out! Schulz pulled him up and tried a powerbomb, but Low Ki got down and hit a SPINNING BACKFIST! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Low Ki (6:39)

Immediately after the bell, the Powers rushed the ring! Ki fought them off for a good bit, but eventually the numbers took over. The lackeys held him in place while Koslov clobbered him with rights, and then nailed him with the Red Scare.

Lauren talked to Raven about his match next with Chris Daniels, and Raven said that he could never forgive Daniels for what he did to RVD in Philadelphia.

--Commercial Break--

Match 6: Christopher Daniels w/ Daffney vs Raven
This was a wild brawl around the ring, and Tenay brought up their history. Daniels got control after Daffney distracted Raven with his boobs, and he kept Raven down for a while. Raven fought back after a Lou Thesz Press off the ropes, and some wild punches. He measured Daniels up and hit a big bulldog, then called for the end. But Daffney jumped up on the apron! Raven smiled and grabbed Daffney and planted a big kiss on her lips! Raven finally let go with a big grin on his face, but then turned around into the Angel’s Wings to lose.
Winner via pinfall: Christopher Daniels (5:03)

Daniels grabbed Daffney from ringside and then went up the ramp. At the top of the stage, Daniels motioned for the belt.

Backstage, LAX agreed to get along tonight, but said that at Slammiversary, it was every man for himself.

--Commercial Break--

Match 7: Kurt Angle/Tyson Tomko vs The Latin American Exchange
LAX started out with the advantage due to their tag team experience and they batted both guys around. Tomko managed to surprise Homicide with a big Lariat, and then tossed him to the outside. He turned around, right into shoulderblock from Hernandez that sent Tomko to the outside. Tomko stood up on the outside, and Hernandez took him out with his Big Man Dive! Hernandez and Homicide punched at him on the outside, and Angle climbed up to the top and took them all out with a FLYING SLIPPING SENTON!

--Commercial Break--

Angle and Tomko finally got on the same page and managed to work Homicide over for a bit, but he took advantage of their bickering and nailed Angle with a running arched boot into the corner, THEN TAGGED IN THE BIG MAN! Hernandez cleaned house with his power moves and topped it off with a Cracker Jack to Angle! ONE … TWO … THRE – Angle kicked out! Hernandez measured him up, but Tomko made the blind tag. When Angle got up, Hernandez Speared him anyway! He covered, but Angle wasn’t legal. Hernandez got up, confused, and he turned right into the Chokebomb! ONE … TWO … THRE – Hernandez kicked out! Tomko tried the Argentine Neckbreaker, but Hernandez climbed down and locked in a Cobra Clutch! He wrestled Tomko to the mat, and then he and Homicide took turns working him over with their double team moves. After a bit, they went for doomsday crossbody, but TOMKO CAUGHT HOMICIDE WHILE ON HERNANDEZ’ SHOULDERS! A HUGE FALLAWAY SLAM HOLY SHIT WHAT! All three men were down, AND TOMKO TAGGED IN ANGLE! Angle actually got a face pop as he rushed in and cleaned house with big suplexes! After a side belly-to-belly on Homicide, he covered! ONE … TWO … THRE – Homicide kicked out! Angle went for the Olympic Slam, but Homicide floated through and hit a big enzuigiri, and then a Tiger Suplex! ONE … TWO … THRE – Angle kicked out! Homicide went up to, BUT ANGLE RAN UP THE ROPES AND HIT HIS SUPER BELLY-TO-BELLY! ONE … TWO … THRE – Hernandez broke it up! Tomko BEWT~ed Hernandez to the outside, then officially tagged in and went for Homicide. He tried the Argentine Neckbreaker, BUT HOMICIDE REVERSED INTO THE 187 FROM NOWHERE! ONE … TWO … THRE – Angle broke it up! Angle got up, right into a Spear from Hernandez! Homicide tagged in Hernandez, who tried the Cracker Jack on Tomko, but he powered out. Tomko went for the Chokebomb, but Hernandez elbowed his way out, AND HIT A FRANKENSTEINER! Hernandez pulled Tomko up AND HIT THE BORDER TOSS! Homicide cut Angle off while Hernandez covered! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: The Latin American Exchange [Hernandez: (36-0)] (15:14)

LAX celebrated in the ring to close the show, BUT CAN THEY GET ALONG NEXT WEEK AT SLAMMIVERSARY?!

Xplosion Results (6/5)
Amazing Red over Shark Boy
Abyss/Matt Morgan over Milo and Otis
Kenny King over Wahoo McDaniel Jr
Sean Hernandez (37-0) over Sean Waltman

June 10, 2010

Commentary welcomed us to the last show before TNA’s second biggest PPV of the year, Slammiversary! They ran down tonight’s card of Low Ki vs Brutus Magnus, Alex Shelley vs Petey Williams, Booker T vs Elix Skipper, a main event of Tomko/Hernandez vs Daniels/Homicide, and more!

Alex Shelley came down and said that he wouldn’t give Chris Sabin the honor of talking about him, because after Slammiversary he would be a footnote anyway. Instead, he went on about how he’s the best wrestler in TNA today--not Chris Daniels, not Samoa Joe, not Kurt Angle, and certainly not AJ Styles.

Match 1: Alex Shelley w/ Rhino vs Petey Williams [Non-Title]
Shelley tried to straight wrestle Williams, but Petey Pump had other plans. He tossed Shelley around like a rag doll, and continuously flexed his muscles. Shelley finally bailed to the outside, so Petey lined up for a suicide dive, but instead he climbed out to the apron AND HIT A FLYING SLEDGE~!

--Commercial Break--

Petey was still bumping Shelley around, but Shelley grabbed Petey’s arm in the middle of a powerbomb and manipulated midair into a sick key lock, pulling Petey’s shoulder all the way around. He continued to pry Petey’s arm out on the mat, until Petey hit a Hulk-like sequence to power back. Shelley ducked under a big boot and came back with a running enzuigiri! He pulled Petey up and tried a gutwrench powerbomb, but Petey held his WEIGHT~ and shoved Shelley away. He bounced off the ropes, and was met by a POLISH HAMMER~! Petey covered! ONE … TWO … THRE – Shelley kicked out! Petey pulled him up for the Border’s Edge, but Shelley slid down and hit his Backpack Stunner! He cockily covered with one foot! ONE … TWO … TH – Petey raised his arm. Shelley immediately pulled him up and hit the Shellshock, then covered for real to get the win.
Winner via pinfall: Alex Shelley (10:12)

Rhino brought the title to Shelley in the ring, and then they celebrated to the back.

Robert Roode walked into his locker room backstage to find tons of garbage in there, with a note signed by the entire janitorial staff.

Eric Young and Tyson Dux approached Petey Williams backstage and told him that it must suck to be losing a lot lately, and that’s when he’s even on TV.

--Commercial Break--

Robert Roode found Chuck Taylor backstage and asked what the hell the garbage was about, and Taylor said there must have been a mix-up, sorry.

Match 2: Team Canada vs Sean Morley/Ricky Steamboat Jr
Don West talked about Morley and Steamboat Jr having tagged together on Xplosion for the last year-and-a-half, and Cornette and Tenay started to troll him about actually watching Xplosion. Anyway, Team Canada actually had problems here due to lots of simple, but effective double-team moves from the Xplosion team. They finally managed to isolate Ricky after Young stopped a flying chop with a Northern Lights Suplex. But that didn’t last long until Steamboat came back with big chops and a big belly-to-back suplex to Dux! He tagged in Morley, who came in with a lot of intensity with his punches and chops. Young went to the eyes and tried a back elbow, but Morley ducked, caught his arm AND HIT A HALF NELSON SLAM! ONE … TWO … THRE – Dux broke it up! Steamboat charged at Dux, but he ducked to send him to the outside, BUT STEAMBOAT SKINNED THE CAT! BIG CHOPS TO DUX! Meanwhile, Morley laid EY out with a body slam then went up top! MONEY SHO – NO! YOUNG GOT THE KNEES UP! Morley staggered around, and Young took him down and locked in the Sharpshooter! Ricky went to save, but Dux cut him off, and Morley had no choice but to tap.
Winners via pinfall: Team Canada (6:30)

Team Canada celebrated in the ring, but another pre-taped AMW promo played. This time they were at Niagara Falls, and they said that this was pretty cool, but it’s pretty much part of New York, so it doesn’t count. They then told Team Canada to turn around, AND AMERICA’S MOST WANTED WAS IN THE RING! Eye of the Storm to Dux! Catatonic to Young! AMW posed with their title belts and then told Team Canada that they would see them in Nashville.

Clips of Joe and AJ working together in the Frontline to fight off the Main Event Mafia played, and then the subsequent tension between them on the heels of Joe’s return.

--Commercial Break--

Homicide and Hernandez agreed to play fair tonight, but to try to make an impact being on different teams in the main event.

Match 3: Booker T w/ 2CN vs Elix Skipper w/ Ravarian
Booker used his experience to stretch Skipper out, and then bump him around some. Skipper went to the eyes and then gained control after a swinging neckbreaker. He went for the Overdrive, but T spun out and nailed a hook kick! He bounced Skipper around some, but Ravarian got involved from the outside. The Negroes ran over and the teams brawled on the floor, and then distraction let Skipper hit a Sleeper Slam! ONE … TWO … THRE – Booker kicked out! Skipper pulled him up for the Overdrive, but Booker pushed away and then hit a roundhouse! He pulled Skipper up and hit the Bookend and got the three-count.
Winner via pinfall: Booker T (5:56)

The Negroes and Ravarian kept brawling on the outside, so Booker T climbed up to the top rope and took out Ravarian with a big crossbody! 3CN celebrated up the ramp as Skipper helped his stablemates up.

Different people were asked who they thought would win between AJ Styles and Samoa Joe in pre-taped interviews. Homicide, Collyer, Morgan, Lethal, and Taz said Joe. Sabin, Doug Williams, Daniels, Tomko, and Storm said Styles. Kurt Angle said he didn’t know, but he knew that they were going to kill each other.

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Low Ki vs Brutus Magnus w/ The Axis Powers
Magnus jumped Low Ki right at the bell. He went for his Italian Stallion Kick, but Ki ducked under it and hit his springboard roundhouse! He kicked him around some, and then hit the Ki Krusher! He locked in the Dragon Clutch and made Magnus tap.
Winner via submission: Low Ki (1:54)

Immediately after the bell, Kiyoshi hit a big roundhouse to the back of Ki’s head, and Koslov announced that these two would be having a match … now.

Match 5: Low Ki vs Kiyoshi w/ The Axis Powers
Kiyoshi kept stomping away at the back of Ki’s neck, and then used the ropes to torque at it even more. Ki fought back with big elbows, but Koslov grabbed him from outside the ring, and he turned right into leg lariat! ONE … TWO … THR – Low Ki kicked out! Kiyoshi pulled him up and tried the Butterfly Crescent Kick, but Low Ki ducked and raged with a bunch of his signature strikes. He topped it off with his new spinning backfist, and then locked in the Dragon Clutch, and Kiyoshi immediately submitted.
Winner via submission: Low Ki (4:04)

Koslov attacked after the bell, but Ki fought back with big strikes. Eventually the rest of the Powers joined in and laid him out, and AVK hit him with the Red Scare.

An interview with Samoa Joe played saying that he respects AJ as a competitor probably more than anybody else in TNA, but when it comes to getting a title shot, and when it comes to FINALLY getting Kurt Angle one-on-one, he’s ready to put anybody down.

--Commercial Break--

An interview with AJ Styles played, and he admitted that, yeah, he was a little pissed off that he fought for a year-and-a-half without being handed anything, and now everybody else is handed favors left and right. He admitted that he maybe even felt a little entitled to some things in TNA, but at Slammiversary he would prove why he feels that way.

Match 6: Chad Collyer/The Hooliganz vs Doug Williams/The Bankrupt Brothers
The faces worked really well here together, so they ran stuff at the top. However, Kendrick got into a technical faceoff with Williams, and bad idea on account of Williams being THE BEST TECHNICAL WRESTLER IN THE WORLD~! Williams put in lots of fancy arm holds and the Bankrupt Brothers applauded from the outside. Davey and Burke took turns taking stiff shots at Kendrick, and Kendrick got into trading strikes with Richards, and, well, bad idea. Richards hit a series of sick punches and topped it off with a running elbow smash into the corner, ONE … TWO … THRE – Kendrick kicked out. Kendrick kept just trying to survive, and Cornette pointed out that Kendrick has yet to use any sort of high-flying move, which Cornette attributed to his botch at Sacrifice last month that cost The Hooliganz the tag titles. Anyway, Kendrick finally rolled out of the way of the Bombs Away, and tagged in Collyer! Suplexes for everybody. Davey tried to sneak in and chop the fuck out of Collyer’s face, but Collyer ducked and Davey ran right into a dropsault from London! He hopped up, but London Waffle Faced him, then dumped him to the outside! Burke got in and CREAMED London with a right hand, then planted him with a DDT! Kendrick ran at Burke, but just sort of awkwardly stood there without doing a move. He tried a punch, but Burke ducked AND HIT A STRAIGHT UPPERCUT! Collyer ran over and took Burke out with a German Suplex! He stood right up, but Williams grabbed him from behind! CHAOS THEORY! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Doug Williams/The Bankrupt Brothers (7:08)

The heels celebrated up the ramp, and the faces got up and looked pissed.

Backstage, Tomko went up to Hernandez to talk strategy. Hernandez told him that the only strategy he needed to know is that Sean Hernandez doesn’t lose.

--Commercial Break--

Kurt Angle came down to do guest commentary.

Match 7: Tyson Tomko/Sean Hernandez vs Christopher Daniels/Homicide
Tomko and Hernandez worked together to bat Daniels around for a while, and Homicide was in no hurry to get in. Daniels finally made a surprise tag to Homicide, who went right at Tomko with big chops. Tomko shoved him away and tried a sidewalk slam, but Homicide countered with a headscissors that sent Tomko to the outside! Hernandez joined him on the floor to regroup. Daniels charged and tried a suicide dive, but Hernandez moved and it only nailed Tomko! Hernandez grinned and celebrated on the outside, BUT TURNED RIGHT INTO A TOPE CON HILO FROM HOMICIDE!

--Commercial Break--

Homicide and Daniels were working together to keep Tomko grounded, and it turned into somewhat of a game of one-upsmanship. Finally Homicide went up top, but Hernandez shouted something to Tomko, and he moved just before the Frog Splash, and Homicide hit the ground! Hernandez got tagged in AND HE STARTED TOSSING HOMICIDE AROUND! He used big strikes mainly, but when he went for his signature Cracker Jack, Homicide scouted it and turned it into a hurricanrana, holding the prawn! ONE … TWO … THR – Hernandez got out! They both got up and Hernandez tried the Lariat, but Homicide ducked and came off the ropes for the West Brooklyn Lariat, but Hernandez ducked! The big man went for the Border Toss, but Homicide floated away. He turned around, and Homicide tried the 187, but Hernandez pushed him off! Homicide bounced off the ropes, RIGHT INTO A SPEAR! Cornette shouted how Hernandez JUST added that to his repertoire as the cover was made! ONE … TWO … THRE – Daniels broke it up! Tomko got in and tackled Daniels to the outside. In the ring, Hernandez pulled Homicide up and tried the Border Toss again, but Homicide slid down again AND HIT A SPRINGBOARD ROUNDHOUSE WHO ARE YOU LOW KI?! ONE … TWO … THRE – Hernandez kicked out! Homicide went up top, and FROG SPLA – Hernandez moved! He tagged in Tomko, who immediately went for TEH BEWT~, but Homicide rolled away and tagged in Daniels! Springboard clothesline! ONE … TW – Tomko kicked out, WITH AUTHORITY! Daniels pounced on him with elbows, but Tomko shoved him away and caught him with a big shoulder block. He bounced him around some more, and then hit his Chokebomb! ONE … TWO … THRE – Homicide broke it up! Hernandez got in the ring, AND LAX FACED OFF! Then went back to their separate corners. Tomko was sort of pissed, but turned back to Daniels. He picked him up and hit the ARGENTINE NECKBREAKER! He measured him up in the corner for TEH BEWT~, but Hernandez tagged himself in! He immediately picked Daniels up and hit the Border Toss! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Tyson Tomko/Sean Hernandez [Sean Hernandez: 38-0)] (13:43)

Hernandez celebrated in the ring, but Tomko turned him around and they argued. Daniels got up and shoved Tomko into Hernandez, and they brawled! Daniels joined in, and Homicide did as well. Everybody was throwing punches, and it was finally Tomko who was left standing after hitting Homicide with TEH BEWT~! He celebrated in the ring, but Angle climbed in! He want to hit Tomko with the title, but Tomko ducked and caught him coming back with TEH BEWT~! Tomko held up the TNA Championship to close the show.

Xplosion Results (6/12)
Matt Morgan over Shark Boy
Sean Hernandez (39-0) over Milo
Sean Hernandez (40-0) over Otis
Chad Collyer over Davey Richards

Pre-Show
Robert Roode over Raven
Brian Lawler over Sean Waltman
Chad Collyer vs Roderick Strong went to a 15-minute draw
Los Infernales over The Bankrupt Brothers

A hype video played going over the previous five years worth of history at Slammiversarys. Clips included Samoa Joe’s debut and Raven winning the world title in 2005, Paparazzi Productions taking over the X-Division in 2006, Kurt Angle becoming the first ever TNA Champion in 2007, Karen Angle turning on Kurt to join AJ in 2008, and Team 3D being retired and Christian Cage returning to TNA to win the world title in 2009. WHAT KIND OF HISTORY WILL BE MADE TONIGHT?!

Commentary hyped up the sixth annual Slammiversary tonight, and then went over the card.

A hype vide played going over the problems between Ravarian and 2CN, going back a couple of months.

Match 1: Ravarian vs 2 Crazy Negroes
The Negroes were really aggressive here, something we’ve never really seen from them to date. They ran shit for the first several minutes, but didn’t do so traditionally. Instead of isolating one guy at a time, they welcomed the guy on the apron to come in and take a bunch of offense. Rave finally managed to move out of the way of a Creed dropkick, and the young Negro got caught up in the ropes. Raven capitalized with a rope-hung hangman’s neckbreaker, and then followed up with a really stiff running knee to Creed’s face. He and Kaz took over and really focused on just beating the snot out of Creed, with knees and elbows to the face, and continuously pounding his face into the mat and turnbuckle. Creed tried to fight back on Kaz with his punches, but when he went for the Somersault Clothesline, Kaz caught him and countered with a spinning facebuster! ONE … TWO … THRE – Creed kicked out! Kaz set him up top and tried the Flux Capacitor, but Creed fought away with elbows and then kicked him off, and followed up with a Missile Dropkick! HOT TAG TO LETHAL! The Middle Negro came in ON FIRE~ with chops and clotheslines, and nailed Rave with a spinning enzuigiri! ONE … TWO … THR – Rave kicked out! Lethal pulled him up and delivered some elbows until he was reeling, and then hit his Lethal Injection (Pumphandle Powerbomb)! ONE … TWO … THRE – Kaz broke it up! Creed charged the ring and took on Kazarian with some big punches, then ran off the ropes, BUT KAZ KILLED HIM WITH A BICYCLE KICK TO THE FACE! Lethal tried for the Lethal Combination on Rave, but Rave spun through AND LOCKED IN THE TORTURE DEVICE (Crippler Crossface. Pwnt.)! Lethal struggled for a long time and kept trying to roll through, but Rave kept it in! Creed tried to crawl over to break it up, but Kaz kept cutting him off! Finally Booker T ran down! He stood at ringside and cheered Lethal on, AND JAY MADE IT TO THE ROPES! YEAH! Rave picked him up, BUT JAY HIT THE LETHAL COMBINATION OUT OF NOWHERE! He crawled over to make the cover, BUT DAFFNEY RAN DOWN TO DISTRACT THE REF! Lethal covered, but the ref wasn’t watching! He got up to get the ref’s attention, but before he could get to him ELIX SKIPPER GRABBED HIM FROM BEHIND AND HIT THE OVERDRIVE WHAT! Booker T tackled him out of the ring and they brawled on the outside, but Kaz clapped his hands to fake a tag-in, yelled for the ref, and covered Jay! NO! ONE … TWO … THRE – LETHAL KICKED OUT!!! Kaz couldn’t believe it! He pulled Lethal and tried the Wave of the Future, but Lethal spun out AND TAGGED IN CONSEQUENCES CREED! Springboard Tornado DDT to Kazarian! MontiFisto in the corner! (Rave made the blind tag!) He picked Kaz up! FIREMAN’S CARRY CUTTER! COVER! But Kaz wasn’t legal! Creed got up confused, and turned RIGHT INTO THE AN ALL THE RAVE, DRIVING HIS FACE INTO THE MAT! Lethal went to break it up, but Daffney grabbed his leg! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Ravarian (12:53)

Kaz and Rave celebrated up the ramp, and Skipper and Daffney ran up to join them. Booker T helped 2CN up in the ring, and the younger guys looked really pissed.

A Tyson Tomko video played, going over his gradual build up the ranks and the edge that he seems to constantly has over Kurt Angle.

A hype vide played of the heat between Low Ki and Koslov, starting when Koslov cheated to eliminate Ki in the X-Scape match at Lockdown.

Match 2: Low Ki vs Alex Viktor Koslov
After the last interference-riddled match, the ref sent the rest of the Axis Powers to the back right at the start. Koslov stayed close to the ropes at all times, and frequently used them to take breaks. Low Ki finally pulled him to the middle of the ring and they went to the mat, and Ki pretty much ran shit. He started to torque at the arm and neck, BUT KOSLOV HIT A SIDE RUSSIAN LEGSWEEP! He did a little Russian step dance, but Low Ki got up and raaaaged with chops. Koslov spilled to the outside, but Ki was right behind him with a suicide dive! He batted Koslov around on the outside, and then rolled him in and hit a springboard elbow drop! ONE … TWO … TH – Koslov kicked out. Low Ki rolled him over and tried to put in the Dragon Clutch, but Koslov countered into an Oklahoma Roll! ONE … TWO … THR – Low Ki got out! They both got up and Ki tried his spinning backfist, but Koslov ducked and hit a single-knee backbreaker! Match 3: America’s Most Wanted[c] vs Team Canada [TNA Tag Team Championships]
The Canucks jumped them at the bell, but AMW quickly turned it around with their power and started to have fun by semi-squashing their opponents. After hitting stereo clotheslines to send Team Canada to the floor, Jackie Moore tossed AMW some bottled beers and the tag team champs downed them, then started a completely irrelevant “USA!” chant that the Nashville crowd soaked up. Dux rolled back into the ring and attacked Storm from behind, but then Harris killed him with a half nelson slam! ONE … TWO … THR – Dux kicked out! The champs took turns bumping Dux around, but he managed to roll through a Storm powerbomb and came off the ropes with a reverse crossbody! A Sean Hernandez hype video played, going over how he hasn’t been pinned or submitted since he returned to TNA five months ago.

Backstage, Alex Shelley said that he would finally put Chris Sabin out of his misery tonight, and then he’d go on to rule over this company.

Backstage, Chris Sabin said that he was going to show a side of himself tonight that he’s never shown. He said he would beat Alex Shelley tonight, then take his title, then run him out of TNA, then ruin his career.

A long and detailed video played going over the long history between Shelley and Sabin.

Warning: TNA takes no responsibility for the action that is about to take place. It is an unsanctioned match, and whatever physical harm done to either participant is of no fault to TNA. A senior referee has been assigned to the match in order to decide when one man can physically no longer continue, at which point the other will be declared the winner.

Match 4: Alex Shelley vs Chris Sabin – Unsanctioned Match [Non-Title]
Sabin ran up the ramp and attacks Shelley on the stage. The brawled around the entrance area, and Sabin ended up chucking Shelley into the crowd! They fought some more around the fans, and Sabin eventually got handed a steel chair, and he used it to bash Shelley across the face! We’ve got a bleeder! Already! Sabin dumped Shelley back over the barricade and to the floor by the ring. He kicked him around some and shouted some shit to him, then dumped him into the ring. He punched him around some, and then dropped him with a DDT. He went to work over the back of the skull, but Shelley eventually escaped to the outside. Sabin followed him out and charged, but Shelley used a drop toehold to send him face-first into the steel steps! Sabin stumbled to his feet, and Shelley jumped up on the apron, ran across, and flew off, taking Sabin down with a falling reverse DDT! Sabin held at the back of his head, and commentary brought up his concussion last month, and the weeks he’s had to taken off due to shots to the skull. Shelley took time to regroup, and Cornette indicated that, since Shelley is bleeding, it’s in his best interest to end the match sooner rather than later. Shelley rolled Sabin into the ring and used his pushup facebusters, then followed up with big punches. He started to bat Sabin around with bigger moves, but Sabin kept using his speed to turn the tide, and the match turned into a big back-and-forth bout, rising in extremity. They eventually spilled to the outside again, and Shelley went for the Shellshock on the floor, but Sabin spun out and nailed a big superkick! With Shelley down, Sabin looked under the ring AND PULLED OUT A LADDER. As soon as Shelley stood up, Sabin ran and leveled him with it, then set it up on the outside. He started to climb up, but Shelley pulled him down and hit the Shellshock on the floor! The ref checked on Sabin, but Sabin pushed him away. Shelley looked pissed, so he pulled up the matting on the floor to reveal the concrete underneath! He pulled Sabin up and tried a powerbomb, but Shelley held on to the ropes beside him to block it. He kicked out, AND THEN HIT SHELLEY WITH A FALLING DDT, DRIVING SHELLEY’S SKULL INTO THE CONCRETE!!! The ref looked to call the match, but Sabin pulled him away! He pounced on Shelley and started to lay into him some more with big punches. The ref tried to pull him off, but Sabin wouldn’t let up. Finally Sabin got ripped away from Shelley BY RHINO! Big right hand from Rhino, and then a big belly-to-belly on the floor! Rhino helped Shelley to his feet, and then turned back to Sabin. He tried a GORE~, but Sabin dove out of the way, grabbed the steel chair from ringside, AND SMASHED RHINO IN THE FACE! Sabin spat at him on the ground, then turned around, AND SHELLEY NAILED HIM IN THE FACE WITH A CAMERA! Sabin was busted open as he hit the mat, and he demanded that the ref check on Sabin. He leaned down to check, but Sabin just gave him the finger. Shelley was irate, so he picked Sabin up and tried the Shellshock, but Sabin spun through again, THEN RAN HALWAY UP THE LADDER, AND LEAPT OFF WITH A SPINNING ENZUIGIRI TO TAKE SHELLEY OUT! Both men were down for a while, but Rhino got up and tried to help Shelley to his feet and into the ring. BUT JIMMY JACOBS RAN DOWN AND DROVE RHINO TO THE BACK! Shelley got up in the ring anyway, and looked down at Sabin on the outside. He ran off the ropes in the ring, sprinted back, and went for a suicide dive BUT SABIN MOVED AND SHELLEY CRASHED INTO THE STEEL BARRICADE! Shelley stumbled to his feet, AND SABIN LEVELED HIM WITH A STEEL CHAIR SHOT!!! Sabin slowly got to his feet and tossed the ladder into the ring, then rolled Shelley in as well. Sabin planted Shelley with a cradle piledriver, and then set the ladder up in the center. He climbed to the top, gave the MCMG gun motion to Shelley, AND LEAPT OFF WITH HIS LEG DRO – NO! SHELLEY MOVED! SHELLEY MOVED! With blood flowing down his face, Shelley got a big grin on his face. He rolled out of the ring, looked under the apron, and pulled out a … beer bottle? Must be some story there, hmm. He rolled back in, pulled Sabin up by the hair, shouted some shit, and NAILED Sabin right across the face! He pulled him up again, threw him into the corner, and CREAMED him with a superkick! Sabin folded up on the mat, and the ref went to check on him, but Shelley pulled the ref away! Shelley laid the ladder on the mat, AND SANWICHED SABIN’S HEAD BETWEEN THE TWO SIDES. The ref went to help Sabin out, but Shelley punched the ref in the face! Shelley got a demonic look in his eye, climbed to the top rope, AND JUMPED OFF, LANDING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LADDER, SQUEEZING SABIN’S HEAD BETWEEN THE LADDER OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDDD! (Idk if I described that well. Sabin’s head was smashed between the two sides of a ladder). Anyway, Sabin was basically dead. Shelley grabbed his title from ringside, strapped it around his waist, and rested in the corner until the referee got back up. He saw that Sabin was completely out on the floor, and he called for the bell.
Winner due to referee stoppage: Alex Shelley (19:12)

Shelley ran over and jumped on Sabin, and started pounding away at him. Cornette said that he’s never seen such a violent face on a man as he’s seeing on Shelley. The ref finally pulled Shelley away, and the camera quickly cut away.

A Homicide hype video played, going over all the bigger guys he’s beaten in his career and his violent streak.

Backstage, AJ Styles complained that his match with Samoa Joe should probably be the main event, but this spot in the card should suffice. He promised to show Joe, TNA, and everybody else who somehow still doubts it, that he truly is the Phenomenal One.

Clips of previous Joe/Styles confrontations and matches played, and some clips of different TNA guys putting these over as the two best wrestlers in the company played.

A Kurt Angle hype video played, outlining his title reign thus far since winning the belt at Genesis in January.

Build-up for KOTM, including qualifying matches, KOTM history, and heat between the guys involved. Commentary also announced that the rules had been slightly changed in that the belt was hung up and had to be taken down to win, instead of traditional KOTM rules where you had to hang up the belt, which was stupid.

Match 6: Kurt Angle[c] vs Tyson Tomko vs Christopher Daniels vs Sean Hernandez vs Homicide – King of the Mountain [TNA World Championship]
K, I’m not doing this long-style. Soz. Tomko was the first to qualify by pinning Angle. Daniels qualified by pinning Homicide. Hernandez qualified by pinning Tomko. Homicide qualified by pinning Daniels. They went on for a while fighting to put the belt up top, and for the longest time, Angle NEVER qualified by making a pin or submission. Tomko nearly got the belt, but Angle ran up the ladder and took Tomko down with a super duper side belly-to-belly! He easily could have grabbed the belt, but still had not qualified! He climbed down and pinned Tomko, and then went to climb back up, but Daniels met him at the top and they traded blows. They went back and forth, but Homicide ran over and tipped the ladder over! He set it back up and climbed up, BUT SEAN HERNANDEZ STOPPED HIM! LAX FACED OFF AT THE TOP OF THE LADDER! Match 1: Jimmy Jacobs/Brian Lawler vs Jihad w/ Raisha Saeed
The Memphis crowd loved Little Lawler, and he fed on that to bump Bashir and Dutt around some. Jacobs got in and continued the momentum, and then the faces worked together to isolate Sonjay. After a brief distract from Saeed, Dutt hit Jacobs with a springboard hurricanrana. FOR ALLAH! He and Bashir beat Jacobs down in their corner, but he eventually caught Bashir with a big Spear, and then made the hot tag! BRIAN LAWLER PULLED DOWN HIS STRAP. Huge punches to both Dutt and Bashir, and then a top-rope fist drop to Dutt. Jacobs tagged back in and hit his Back Senton on Dutt to win it.
Winners via pinfall: Jimmy Jacobs/Brian Lawler (5:43)

Jacobs and Lawler celebrated after the match, and then Jacobs called for the camera’s attention and very clearly motioned for a title.

--Commercial Break--

Footage from last week’s iMPACT played of the team of Doug Williams and The Bailout Brothers beating Chad Collyer and The Hooliganz. Commentary noted that Chad Collyer faced, and beat Davey Richards last Saturday on Xplosion.

Match 2: Doug Williams/Elijah Burke vs The Hooliganz
The Hooliganz obviously meshed better, so they ran stuff up front. Burke kneed London from the apron, and Williams capitalized with running double knees to the face. He used his big knee strikes to beat London down, and Burke got in and did the same with his boxing-like punches. Burke tossed London into the corner and tried the Elijah Express, but London jumped up, landed on the top rope, and came off with a flying wheel kick! ONE … TWO … THRE – Burke kicked out! Burke was up first and tried a body slam, but London floated over and hit a dropsault, then crawled over and tagged in Kendrick! He ran in and took Burke down with a series of clotheslines. Doug tried to get involved, but London cut him off with a springboard dropkick! Williams rolled to the outside, but London laid him out with a plancha! In the ring, Kendrick climbed to the top rope, but he changed his mind and climbed back down. He grabbed Burke and tried a powerbomb, but Burke countered with a falling neckbreaker! Kendrick stumbled to his feet, and Burke immediately hit the Bankrupt Bomb! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Doug Williams/Elijah Burke (6:54)

Burke and Williams celebrated up the ramp, where Davey met them. The Hooliganz looked upset in the ring, and London sort of glared at Kendrick.

Backstage, Petey Williams was tapping up his wrists when Tyson Dux walked up to him and told him that Eric Young was going to make him tap out in their match coming up next, and Petey would sink further into obscurity.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Kurt Angle arrived with the rest of Planet Jarrett (minus Jarrett) in a limo. Jeremy Borash ran up to inform Angle about his title match with Homicide in the main event tonight, and Nash, Roode, Waltman, and the James Gang were all blown away and objected. Angle told them to shut up, and said he looked forward to facing Homicide tonight.

Team Canada came out and trolled the hick Memphibians, and showed off their NEW tag team titles.

Match 3: Petey Williams vs Eric Young w/ Tyson Dux
Basic mat wrestling at the start, but it picked up when Petey started to power EY around. Dux got involved at times to help Young, and it became a basic back-and-forth match. Young tried to put the Sharpshooter in, but Williams shoved him away and caught him off the ropes with the POLISH HAMMER~! ONE … TWO … THR – Young kicked out! Petey pulled him up and tried the Border’s Edge, but EY slid down and pulled Petey down into the ropes. He turned around while holding onto his neck, and he walked right into EY’s Northern Lights Suplex! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via submission: Eric Young (6:03)

Young and Dux celebrated in the ring with their belts, BUT AMERICA’S MOST WANTED RAN DOWN AND SNUCK INTO THE RING! Team Canada turned around, and AMW laid them out with stereo flying shoulder blocks! They held up the tag team titles as Petey Williams looked on, until the commercial break.

--Commercial Break--

Chuck Taylor was mopping backstage when Robert Roode ran up and tossed him into the wall! He dumped him into a nearby trashcan, and then kicked the trashcan down a staircase. “WHAT A BULLY! But that was awesome.†–Don West.

Alex Shelley came out to the ring, with the biggest heat of the night so far. He told the fans to forget about Chris Sabin, because he already had. He said that he had created a bucket list, and that once it was completed, the fans would have no choice but to acknowledge him as the best wrestler in TNA. On it is the names of TNA competitors that TNA fans consider to be the “elite.†In no particular order, Alex Shelley will defeat Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Sting (POP!), Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, and No Limit in a handicap match. He then issued a challenge to any of these men to meet him on any PPV, iMPACT, or Xplosion. He went to leave, BUT JIMMY JACOBS CAME OUT.

He got in the ring and said that Alex Shelley forgot a name: Jimmy Jacobs. Shelley scoffed and asked if Jacobs REALLY thinks he’s a TNA elite, and Jacobs said that he would be once he won the X-Division title. He ran Shelley down for being a general douchebag to him, making him carry his bags and shit, all while promising X-Division title matches in the back, off-camera. Shelley denied all of this and said he was only ever supportive of Jimmy Jacobs, and it was Jacobs who turned his back on Shelley when Chris Sabin came back to town. He accused Jacobs of being a coattail-rider, latching on to whichever guy has the most momentum at the time. Jacobs told him if that were true, he certainly wouldn’t have associated himself with the Machine Guns, who, despite four years of trying, could only hold onto the tag belts for four days. Shelley blamed that on Sabin, but Jacobs pointed out that Shelley had even less success in TNA before the Guns, and the only reason he’s had success since is because he’s been in his corner, interfering to help Shelley win matches. Shelley was clearly pissed off by now. He got in Jimmy’s face and just started shouting, “FOUR! BORE! SNORE! WAR! FLOOR! CHORE! DOOR! WHORE!†Jacobs interrupted him and asked what the hell he was doing, and Shelley just grinned and calmly said, “Gore.†He spun Jacobs around, and RHINO WAS IN THE RING AND KILLED HIM WITH A GORE! Shelley held up his title as he and Rhino returned to the back.

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Jay Lethal w/ Creed & Booker T vs Elix Skipper w/ Ravarian
Lethal was clearly better here, but Skipper kept getting control segments due to interference and shenanigans from his stablemates. Booker and Creed finally got sick of it and ran over to attack Ravarian on the floor. The distraction let Lethal get a roll-up on Skipper! ONE … TWO … THRE – Skipper kicked out! They both got up, and Skipper went to the eyes. Overdri – no! Lethal spun out! LETHAL COMBINATION! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Jay Lethal (7:29)

The 3 Crazy Negroes celebrated to the back.

Christopher Daniels was watching the previous match with Daffney backstage, and he slammed the TV off. He went on a tirade about how he failed at Slammiversary, and now his protégés are showing weakness as well. He insisted the success of all in The Enlightened was bounded to each other, and that he would have to do something to put them all back on track.

Lauren asked Robert Roode why he pushed Chuck Taylor down a staircase in a trashcan, and Roode said that where garbage belongs. Duh.

--Commercial Break--

Match 5: Patrick Schulz vs Ricky Steamboat Jr
Steamboat hit a series of arm drag right off the mat, and then got off a big hip toss/leg trap pinning combination! ONE … TWO … THR – Schulz kicked out! Steamboat bounced off the ropes for a springboard crossbody, but Schulz ducked and came off the ropes with a big lariat. He wore Ricky down on the mat, and continuously used UNDERHANDED TACTICS~ to keep him off his game. He called for the end and went for the Wunderbar, but Steamboat flew out and bounced off the ropes with a leg lariat! Schulz stumbled up, and Steamboat dropped him with a swinging neckbreaker! ONE … TWO … THRE – Schulz got an arm up! Steamboat pumped up the crowd, then climbed to the top rope. When Schulz stood up, Steamboat leapt off and connected with a flying crossbody! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Ricky Steamboat Jr (4:48)

Steamboat celebrated in the ring, then up the ramp.

Sean Hernandez was LIVE~ on the telephone at commentary, and he said he was at home nursing some injuries from the King of the Mountain match, but he’s already wished Homicide good luck tonight, and he wanted to do it in public as well.

--Commercial Break--

Match 6: Tyson Tomko vs Chad Collyer
Collyer kept trying to take Tomko to the mat, but the big man’s power was too much. They kept up that struggle for a while, but it never really got going because MONTY BROWN ran down and attacked them both!
No contest due to interference (4:38)

Monty Brown dumped Chad Collyer to the outside, and then hit Tomko with the POUNCE~~~~~~~~! Period.

An advertisement for Victory Road aired, hyping Samoa Joe finally getting a TNA Championship match, no matter who the champion is.

Homicide was backstage with Lauren and said that in his five years in TNA, he’s never had a one-on-one opportunity for the TNA Championship. He said that tonight, the Notorious 187 would win the TNA title, and go on to defend it against Samoa Joe at Victory Road, a battle that he promised will be an epic encounter, as matches between badass friends always are.

Match 7: Kurt Angle[c] vs Homicide [TNA World Championship]
They went for a technical start, and Homicide actually surprised Angle with his finesse. The Champion changed his game plan and instead forced Homicide into an amateur-style matchup, and from there he took control. He kept Homicide grounded and started to squeeze at his ribs. Homicide kept trying to fight back, but Angle kept all his holds in pretty tight. Homicide finally managed to shake Angle off with some big elbows, and then he scored with a standing dropkick. He rested on the ropes, and Angle charged, but ‘Cide low bridged him to the outside! He ran off the ropes and came back WITH A TOPE CON HILO!

--Commercial Break--

Homicide kept the pace up on the inside, but the fatigue from Sunday eventually kicked in, and Angle managed to dodge a slow dropkick, and he capitalized with a big belly-to-belly! Angle kept up his work over the midsection, with various suplexes thrown in. He hit some big European Uppercuts that won him the KOTM and then went for the Olympic Slam, but Homicide rolled through with an arm drag! Angle got up, but Homicide immediately hit a hurricanrana to throw him off even more! He kept up his high-octane offense, and topped it off with a Shining Wizard! ONE … TWO … THRE – Homicide got a foot on the ropes! Angle pulled him into the middle of the ring and tried another ankle lock, but Homicide pulled him into another Victory Roll! ONE … TWO … THRE – Angle JUST got out! They both got up, and Homicide went for a 187, but Angle shoved him off! He bounced off the ropes and Angle tried another Olympic Slam, but Homicide rolled through and landed on the apron! He tried to connected with a roundhouse to Angle inside the ring, but Angle caught his leg AND SHOVED HIM STRAIGHT BACK AND HE LANDED ON THE FLOOR BELOW WITH NOTHING TO STOP HIS FALL! As Homicide stumbled to his feet, Angle climbed to the top rope AND HE CONNECTED WITH A FLIPPING SENTON TO THE OUTSIDE!!!!!

--Commercial Break--

ONE … TWO … THRE – Angle got an arm up! Homicide quickly pulled Angle up and tried to set up for the Gringo Killer, but Angle held his weight down and hit a big German Suplex! But he kept his hands locked in! He hit a second! And a third! Both guys were still on the mat for a while, but finally Angle crawled over and draped an arm across! He pulled Angle up again and tried the Gringo Killer once more, but this time Angle dropped down and put in the ankle lock! Homicide struggled for a while, and finally managed to pull Angle into another Victory Rol – NO! Angle scouted this one and sat down on it to get a Victory Roll of his own! ONE … TWO … THRE – Homicide got out! They both got up, and Homicide immediately went for a 187, but Angle pushed him off. Homicide bounced off the ropes, AND RAN RIGHT INTO AN OLYMPIC SLAM! DUNNNNN! DUN! DUN! DUN! DUN! DUUUUUUN!

Samoa Joe walked out~!~!~!

He met Kurt Angle halfway down the ramp, and they got in each other’s faces. They traded words, AND SAMOA JOE PUNCHED ANGLE! IT IS ON! Angle was clearly fatigued, so Joe easily brawled him all the way down to the ring! He rolled him in and NAILED HIM WITH THE MUSCLE BUSTER~! He picked up the TNA Championship and held it in the air as the show faded.

Taz and Kevin Nash welcomed us from the commentary booth and ran down the card, promising the most exciting hour-and-a-half on Saturday night television. Except HBO softcore porn. Thanks, Kev. They especially hyped up the Collyer vs Roderick rematch and AJ Styles in the main event.

Match 1: The Young Bucks vs The Naturals
Young Bucks showcase. They ran through flippity shit, though Max did get worked over for a bit. They hit their MMMBop (a neckbreaker from Jeremy onto Max’s knee) on Andy Douglas to win.
Winners via pinfall: The Young Bucks (5:12)

Max and Jeremy celebrated in the ring.

A big collection of Slammiversary clips and pictures played, while Taz and Nash talked over it about the results and fallout of the PPV.

--Commercial Break--

A pre-taped AMW promo played, and they promised to take back their tag team titles from Young and Dux when they cash in their rematch clause at Victory Road on 7/11. Sorry about yer damn luck.

Chuck Taylor was backstage with his fellow janitors, and they all promised to help him get back at Robert Roode. He told them not to worry about it, because he’d get back at him IN the ring, because they have a match together on Impact!

A pre-taped Jimmy Jacobs promo played and he said he was going to beat Rhino on iMPACT on Thursday and therefore earn an X-Division title shot against Alex Shelley, and take his title!

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Wahoo McDaniel Jr vs Scott Lost
McDaniel tossed Lost around and played to the crowd with his Indian-ness. He missed a running chop, and Lost caught him coming back with a hip toss. Lost stretched him out over the mat some, and he was very aggressive with it. Wahoo came back with big punches, but Lost went to the eyes and got off a running power slam. He followed up with the Big Fat Kill to get the three-count.
Winner via pinfall: Scott Lost (5:49)

Scott Lost celebrated in the ring, and then did a little Indian dance over Wahoo.

Backstage, Chad Collyer talked about Monty ruining his match with Tomko on Thursday, and said he would get back at Monty by pinning him next iMPACT. He said that was then, though, and now he’s worried about beating Roderick Strong tonight.

--Commercial Break--

BACKSTAGE BRYAN DANIELSON RAN UP TO A CAMERAMAN AND PUNCHED HIM IN THE FACE, WE NEED TO CUT TO A BREAK.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Petey Williams seen talking to Tyson Dux, but when they noticed the camera, they walked separate ways.

Footage of the Slammiversary pre-show played where Chad Collyer and Roderick Strong went to a 15-minute draw.

Match 3: Chad Collyer vs Roderick Strong
They went to the mat at the start, and Collyer took advantage with his amateur moves. Roderick eventually gained some ground after going after the arm, but at that point Colley kept tossing him away with arm drags and hip tosses. He charged and tried a quick belly-to-belly, but Strong latched onto his head and then just picked apart Collyer’s arm and neck. Collyer finally managed to get away after a belly-to-back suplex. He measured Strong up and tried for the German Suplex, but Strong held onto the ropes, broke the latch, and tried a vertical suplex, but Colley landed on the apron. Strong tried to suplex Collyer back into the ring, but Colley held his weight and reversed the suplex, AND BOTH GUYS CRASHED ONTO THE FLOOR BELOW.

--Commercial Break--

Back in the ring Collyer had the advantage and was doing a number to Strong’s back. Strong made his comeback after a snap suplex and a series of clotheslines, and then he went on a spree with his backbreakers. He used some submission maneuvers to wear Collyer down further, but Collyer fought out of an abdominal stretch and hit a Gargoyle Suplex! ONE … TWO … THR – Roddy kicked out! At this point it went back-and-forth with increasingly big moves and counters that I’m not going to explicitly go through. Strong eventually went to the top rope, but Collyer ran up and met him with a super belly-to-belly! ONE … TWO … THRE – Strong got an arm up! They fought to their feet, and Strong tried a big right hand, but Colley ducked and hit a T-Bone Suplex! ONE … TWO … THRE – Strong kicked out! Collyer grabbed him from the mat and lifted him up, then immediately hit a Kremlin Throw! ONE … TWO … THRE – Strong kicked out! Collyer picked him up for a German Suplex, but Strong got behind him AND HIT A FULL NELSON FALLING BACKBREAKER! ONE … TWO … THRE – COLLYER KICKED OUT! Strong couldn’t believe it, but he flipped Collyer over AND LOCKED IN THE STRONGHOLD! Collyer struggled, AND FINALLY MADE IT TO THE ROPES! Strong pulled him up and tried the Death By Roderick, but Collyer broke free and hit a release German Suplex! He crawled over, ONE … TWO … THRE – Strong got his foot on the ropes! He climbed to his feet, but Collyer grabbed him from behind for another German Suplex! Roderick grabbed onto the ropes to stop it! Collyer kept trying to yank him back, but Roderick held on tight! Finally … the timekeeper ran the bell, due to the time limit.
No contest due to time limit draw (15:00)

Both guys sank to the mat, frustrated, but then got back up and shook hands.

Backstage, TJ Perkins welcomed Low Ki to Xplosion tonight, and said it’s going to suck to lose off the heels of a big win at Slammiversary.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Booker T, Jay Lethal, and Consequences Creed had a rap battle and hip-hope move showcase.

Match 4: Low Ki vs TJ Perkins
Perkins actually tried to take Ki on from the mat, but Ki completely made a bitch out of him. Perkins kept regrouping on the outside, so finally Low Ki followed him out and leveled him with a high-impact front dropkick, sending TJ flying into the steel barricade! Low Ki rolled him into the ring and went up top for the Ghetto Stomp, but Perkins moved! Low Ki stumbled around, and Perkins went for his 86’er knee, but Low Ki dodged it and killed Perkins with his spinning backfist! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Low Ki (4:34)

Low Ki celebrated in the ring, but TJ Perkins got up and slapped Ki in the back of the head! Bad idea. Low Ki grabbed him and hit some elbows, then the spinning backfist!

AJ Styles was backstage, walking toward the ring area.

--Commercial Break--

Before the match, AJ Styles got on the stick and said it was bull hokey that he has to wrestle on this grade-C show.

Match 5: AJ Styles vs Brutus Magnus w/ Kiyoshi
Styles ran through his offense pretty easily, and kind of showboated in there at times. Kiyoshi caused a distraction to allow for a brief Magnus comeback, but it didn’t last long. Magnus went for a powerbomb, but Styles rolled through, ran to the corner, and flipped back with his Phenomenal DDT to get the win.
Winner via pinfall: AJ Styles (4:20)

Styles celebrated in the ring to round out Xplosion this week.

I'm going on vacation until Saturday, so I'm posting this now.

TNA iMPACT: An Unlikely Alliance
Mississippi Coliseum
Jackson, Mississippi
June 24, 2010

Welcome to TNA iMPACT, as we continue our Southern tour from Slammiversary in Nashville to Victory Road in Atlanta, this week stopping by in Mississippi. Commentary ran down the card, including Petey Williams vs Tyson Dux, Monty Brown vs Chad Collyer, and Jimmy Jacobs vs Rhino.

Kurt Angle came down to start the show and said that he wants his match with Samoa Joe at Victory Road to be a classic. He decried beatdowns, sneak attacks, etc. Samoa Joe came out and said that, after four years of doing the same shit in TNA, there’s no way he believes that Angle just decided to turn a new leaf. He challenged Angle to a tag match with a partner of his choice versus he and Homicide. Angle seemed annoyed that Joe wouldn’t believe him, but finally accepted.

Alex Shelley pumped up Rhino backstage for his match against Jimmy Jacobs NEXT.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary reiterated that if Jacobs beats Rhino here, he will have earned an X-Division title match with Alex Shelley.

Match 1: Jimmy Jacobs vs Rhino w/ Alex Shelley
Jacobs tried to neutralized Rhino’s power game by wearing away at his legs, but Shelley kept throwing him off from the outside. Lots of Rhino clubbering, and Jacobs of course sold it like a champ. Rhino pulled him up for the Rhino Driver, but Jacobs back body dropped out of it! He hit some quick clothesline, then jumped up to the top rope and dove off for a dropkick, but Rhino dodged it! Jacobs staggered to his feet, and Rhino hit a big Pumphandle Slam! ONE … TWO … THR – Jacobs kicked out! Rhino went in the corner and measured up for a Spear, but when he charged, Jacobs jumped up and caught Rhino in the corner with jumping elbow! He tried the Detroit Code, but Rhino shoved him off midair! Jacobs stumbled up and Rhino went for another Gore, but Jacobs rolled out of the way and caught Rhino from behind with a Throwback! He climbed up top and leapt off with his Flying Back Senton! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Jimmy Jacobs (8:48)

Jacobs celebrated in the ring, but Shelley snuck in and attacked him from behind. Jacobs started to fight back and gained ground, but Rhino joined in to make it a two-on-one. Shelley finally hit Jacobs with the Shellshock, and then celebrated up the ramp.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Petey Williams vs Tyson Dux w/ Eric Young
Petey Pump threw his “weight†around at the start, but Dux went to the eyes to briefly take over with some simple arm work. Williams came back with sloppy forearms, and then went for a chokeslam, but Dux scouted it and shoved away. He tried the North of the Border Brainbuster, but Petey floated over and hit some kinda weak punches. He went for the Canadian Destroyer, but Dux grabbed his legs and wrestled him into the Sharpshooter. Petey immediately tapped.
Winner via submission: Tyson Dux (3:54)

Dux and Young celebrated in the ring, but AMW ran down to attack again! They bounced the tag team champions around, but PETEY WILLIAMS BASHED HARRIS IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH ONE OF THE TITLE BELTS! Storm turned around to see what happened, and Petey hit him with it too! Young and Dux hugged Petey Williams, and Team Canada returned to the back, together.

Chuck Taylor was with Lauren, and said that tonight he would record his first ever victory, and it would be against ROBERT ROODE.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: Chuck Taylor vs Robert Roode w/ Kevin Nash
Roode toyed with Taylor a lot, and really made a fool out of him on the mat. He hit some stiff slaps across the face, but Taylor ducked one and connected with some quick punches, then a standing dropkick! ONE … TW – Roode kicked out! He immediately got up and hit a big closed-fisted punch, then started berating him on the mat with wild rights and lefts. He pulled him up and tried the Payoff, BUT TAYLOR GRABBED AN INSIDE CRADLE! ONE … TWO … THRE – Roode JUST got out! They both got up, and Roode immediately smacked him across the face, poked him in the eye, and then hit the Roode Awakening for the three-count.
Winner via pinfall: Robert Roode (3:37)

Roode celebrated like crazy in the ring, and then Nash got in and hit Taylor with the Jackknife Powerbomb, and he and Roode laughed to the back.

Kurt Angle was backstage with The James Gang and Waltman, and they said that they’re the only guys who aren’t busy this week, so he can pick one of them to tag with tonight. Angle looked around at those three, then just left frustrated.

--Commercial Break--

Monty Brown came out to the iMPACT Zone and said he attacked Tomko last week, because Tomko beat him to qualify for KOTM, and losing makes him mad. And a mad Monty ain’t a pretty Monty. It’s like a giraffe beatin’ off a Bengali flamingo killing a jaguar with a panther coat. IT AIN’T THE SERENGETI IT’S THE MOTHERTOUCAN JUNGLE SERENGETI, BOY YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU DONE YOU MESSED WITH THE LION YOU MESSED WITH THE TIGER. I’M ‘BOUT TO MAKE YOU WISH YOU MESSED WITH A WORKER ANT, AND I’MMA BITE YOU ANYWAY. NOW GIVE ME THIS CHAD BOY. LET’S HAVE A JUNGLE FIGHT.

Match 4: Monty Brown vs Chad Collyer
Collyer tried to fight Monty to the mat, but it was no use. Monty started to toss Collyer around, and soon enough he realized that Collyer’s back was hurt, which Don West attributed to Collyer’s 15-minute draw on Xplosion with the Master of the Backbreaker, Roderick Strong. Again, Cornette and Tenay trolled West for watching Xplosion. Anyway, Collyer actually made a decent comeback after somehow getting off a German Suplex, but he couldn’t keep a bridge so he only got a two-count. Collyer hit some big punches, and then pulled a dropkick out of nowhere. ONE … TW – Monty kicked out, WITH AUTHORITY! Collyer quickly climbed up top and leapt off for a crossbody, but Monty caught him and tossed him with a Fallaway Slam! ONE … TWO … THRE – Collyer kicked out! Monty pulled him up and tried a Pumphandle Slam, but Collyer floated over and delivered from elbows to the back. Monty turned around and was piiiiissed, so Collyer tried a quick belly-to-belly, but Monty held his weight. He shoved Collyer off, then Collyer charged back, but right into a HUGE lariat! Monty picked Collyer up and tossed him against the ropes, and connected with the POUNCE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~! Period. One, two, and three.
Winner via pinfall: Monty Brown (5:20)

Monty called out Tomko after the match, and he sprinted down to the ring! They brawled around the ring and the floor until officials could split them up.

Backstage, Kurt Angle asked Low Ki to be his tag team partner tonight, but Low Ki headbutted Angle then walked away!

--Commercial Break--

The Axis Powers were backstage putting together a pool for the World Cup, but AMW flipped their table and told them that nobody cares about soccer, which is kinda true in America.

Kurt Angle asked Alex Shelley to be his tag team partner tonight, but Shelley went off on a tirade about how he’s being held down because of people like Angle, until finally Angle just turned and left.

Match 5: Low Ki vs Davey Richards w/ Elijah Burke
This was largely the trading of stiff strikes, and this market ruled. Ki gained an advantage after some really spot-on kicked to the midsection, but Burke caused enough of a distraction for Davey to capitalized with a HUGE shoot kick to the face! Ki stumbled in place, and Davey followed up with a jumping enzuigiri! ONE … TWO … THRE – Low Ki kicked out! Davey pulled him up and tried the Bankrupt Driver, but Low Ki floated over and hit the spinning backfist to the back of Davey’s skull! He went up top and hit the Ghetto Stomp for good measure, then covered for the win.
Winner via pinfall: Low Ki (5:48)

Low Ki celebrated in the ring, but TJ Perkins ran down and attacked him! Low Ki turned the tide with big elbows and then killed him with his spinning backfist.

Angle found Booker T backstage and said he sure does miss the Main Event Mafia days. He asked him to be his tag partner tonight, but Booker said, sorry, he already has a match next. Besides, HELL NAW.

--Commercial Break--

Match 6: Booker T w/ 2CN vs Jimmy Rave w/ Frankie Kazarian
Back-and-forth bout, and Bookman seemed to finally be getting back into the swing of things. Lots of outside shenanigans, and eventually Skipper, Daffney, and Daniels all made appearances. The ending came when Booker T hit the Axe Kick on Rave, but Daniels snuck in and planted him with the Last Rites, then dragged Rave on top in time for the ref to turn around and count the pinfall.
Winner via pinfall: Jimmy Rave (7:56)

The Enlightened celebrated to the back, leaving the 3 Crazy Negroes pissed off in the ring.

Backstage, Kurt Angle was talking to somebody that we couldn’t see and thanked him for agreeing to tag with him tonight. He said that obviously he was desperate, or else he wouldn’t have requested his, and that they should use the opportunity to work together and accomplish their separate, but non-exclusive goals.

--Commercial Break--

Samoa Joe and Homicide came out first. Kurt Angle came out and presented his tag team partner for tonight … AJ STYLES~!

Match 7: Samoa Joe/Homicide vs Kurt Angle/AJ Styles
Joe and Homicide gelled great as a team, and it was actually Styles here who acted like the chickenshit heel, and Angle who stepped up against them both. He ended up getting his ass kicked for it, but whatever. Angle finally got a belly-to-belly on Homicide, and then tagged in Styles who worked him over some. He desperately cut off any tag that could be made to Joe, all while Styles borderline taunted Joe. Homicide finally just went for it and tried a 187, but Styles shoved him off and caught him off the ropes with his standing dropkick. He pulled Homicide in for the Styles Clash, but Homicide body dropped Styles away and to the floor! Homicide ran off the ropes came back with a TOPE CON HILO, but Styles moved! Styles celebrated on the floor, but then turned right around into an ELBOW SUICIDA from Samoa Joe! Joe talked smack to Styles on the floor, then turned around into KURT ANGLE’S FLYING FLIPPING SENTON!!!!

--Commercial Break--

Samoa Joe and Homicide were bouncing Styles around on the inside, but Styles poked Joe in the eye again! Bad idea. Joe raged with elbows, but Styles managed to roll away and tag in Angle! Joe continued with elbows to Angle, but Angle was able to block one, and he got off a big belly-to-back suplex! He pulled him up and quickly hit another, and then began to pick him apart on the mat. He really worked over his neck, and then tossed him into the corner and set up him top. Joe fought back and pushed him off, but then Styles shoved Joe off as well to the mat below! Joe got up and attacked Styles, leaving him wide open to Angle’s Triple Germans! ONE … TWO … THRE – Joe kicked out! Styles tagged himself and immediately pounced on Samoa Joe and started punching the crap out of his neck. He pulled him back up and tried the Styles Clash, but Joe shoved him away and caught him coming back with a snap powerslam. He continued his comeback and finished it up with a Samoa Drop, and then made the hot tag! Homicide came in and cleaned house with his-octane offense, and laid Styles out with the Brooklyn Lariat! ONE … TWO … THRE – Angle broke it up! Joe tried to climb into the ring to attack Angle, but the ref kept him on the apron. With the ref’s attention drawn, Styles snuck in an eye rake, and then hit a Rack Bomb! ONE … TWO … THRE – Homicide got an arm up! Styles pulled him and tried a Brainbuster, BUT HOMICIDE COUNTERED INTO A 187!!! ONE … TWO … THRE – ANGLE BROKE IT UP AGAIN! This time Joe DID get in the ring and he started laying into Angle! Angle returned the blows, and both guys spilled their brawl to the outside and didn’t let up! As the ref tried to get them to stop, Styles went for another eye rake, but Homicide blocked this one, so Styles went with a kick to the nuts instead! Homicide doubled over, and got hit the Styles Clash! Styles called the ref over! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Kurt Angle/AJ Styles (16:40)

Angle and Joe continued brawling on the floor as AJ Styles celebrated in the ring to close the show.

Commentary talked a little bit about iMPACT, as well as the two featured matches on tonight’s card: Low Ki vs TJ Perkins in a rematch from last week, and a main event of Petey Williams vs James Storm!

Match 1: Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong vs No Limit
Collyer and Strong absolutely tore shit up. Collyer laid Takahashi out with his German Suplex, and Roderick latched in the Stronghold for the submission victory.
Winners via submission: Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong (4:21)

Collyer and Strong celebrated in the ring.

Low Ki arrived backstage, and he was not happy.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Doug Williams w/ Dave Taylor vs Sean Morley w/ Ricky Steamboat Jr
Williams jumped Morley at the bell with a stiff knee, and kept on his knee offense while on the mat. Morley actually turned the tide on the mat, and it eventually turned into a fast brawl. Taylor tripped Morley up from the outside, and Williams capitalized his running double knees. Morley staggered to his feet, and Williams connected with the Chaos Theory for the three-count.
Winner via pinfall: Doug Williams (5:04)

A hype video played for Victory Road on 7/11 played, outlining the card thus far.

--Commercial Break--

Footage of Angle/Styles vs Joe/Homicide on iMPACT played, and commentary talked about how odd it was to see Angle and Styles teaming up together.

A pre-taped AJ Styles promo played, explaining his decision to team with Kurt Angle. He said that he wasn’t booked for iMPACT last week, and he wasn’t again two days ago, so this was his only chance to actually be on the show that everybody in the world tunes into to watch him on. He said he hates Angle, but recently, he’s grown to be not too fond of Joe either, so he saw nothing wrong in his decision. He then revealed that Homicide challenged him to a match on iMPACT, and he officially accepts.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: Volador vs Kenny King
Back-and-forth bout, with lots of Kenny King taunting and cheating. Volador fought back with his LUCHA~, and hit a nice snap hurricanrana for a long two-count. He went up top and tried the Moonsault, but King moved! Volador stumbled up, and Kenny hit the Crown Jewel (float-over DDT)! ONE … TWO … THRE – Volador kicked out! King pulled him up for the Royal Flush (TKO), but Volador shoved him away and caught him coming back with a spinning wheel kick! He ran up to the top and hit the Moonsault! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Volador (6:12)

A pre-taped Alex Shelley promo played, where he said he was going to beat the snot out of Jimmy Jacobs, just like he’s done several times to Jimmy’s good buddy, Chris Sabin.

Chuck Taylor was backstage when Sean Hernandez walked up! They did their secret handshake, and then Hernandez apologized for not being there on iMPACT to help against Roode and Nash, as he was still nursing injuries from King of the Mountain. He said he’d be there for Chuck at Victory Road though, when the two of them team up TO TAKE ON ROBERT ROODE AND KEVIN NASH.

Low Ki was piiiiiissed here, and raged on Perkins. He tossed him into the corner and tried the Tidal Krush, but Perkins moved and hit a reverse cutter! He pinned Ki with a fistful of tights and his feet on the corner! ONE … TWO … THRE – Low Ki kicked out! Perkins just started pounding at him, but Low Ki shoved him away and caught him off the ropes with a HUGE elbow! He quickly put in the Dragon Clutch and that was it.
Winner via submission: Low Ki (2:46)

Low Ki celebrated in the ring, and when Perkins started to get up, he kicked him in the face.

Davey Richards was in the locker room when Elijah Burke burst in. He told Davey that they had an investor, and Davey asked what the hell that meant. Burke smiled and said that it was good. Very, very good.

--Commercial Break--

Footage from iMPACT of Petey Williams re-joining Team Canada to beat down AMW played.

Match 6: Petey Williams vs James Storm
James Storm was on fire due to Petey’s actions on Thursday. This was largely Storm bumping him around, but Petey did get in some brief offense after a Cradle DDT out of nowhere. He tried to POWER~ Storm around, but he’s delusional. Storm came back and hit some big power moves, but Petey rolled to the outside and grabbed his hockey stick. He got back in the ring and charged at Storm, but he ducked, and the ref grabbed the stick away. Petey argued with the ref, and he turned right around into the Eye of the Storm to lose.

Commentary welcomed us to the show and ran down the card, highlighted by AJ Styles vs Homicide and Samoa Joe/Low Ki vs Kurt Angle/Robert Roode.

The Bankrupt Brothers have suddenly changed their name to the Bailout Brothers, and they came out in tuxedo tops with wrestling tights.

Match 1: Alex Shelley/The Bailout Brothers vs Jimmy Jacobs/The Hooliganz
Good meshing by both teams, but the faces got into some trouble due to Kendrick being unwilling to do high-risk moves in such a fast-paced match. So, this was a spring until Kendrick got isolated. Shelley made sure to show off fancy holds, and Davey Richards made sure to beat the shit out of Kendrick if he even though about moving. HAPPY ALMOST-BIRTHDAY, AMERICA~!

Match 1: Jim Duggan vs Sheik Abdul Bashir w/ Sonjay Dutt & Raisha Saeed
Bashir pulled off his vest to reveal a suicide bomb, so Duggan used a three-point stance lariat to obviously deactivate it. Dutt climbed onto the apron, so Duggan kicked him in the balls to take him down. Bashir got up in the ring, so Duggan used the same lariat to take him down, and pinned him to win.
Winner via pinfall: Jim Duggan (1:06)

Duggan marched around with his 2x4 and started a “USA!†chant.

An iMPACT recap played, with “ADRENALINE RUSH~†over it.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Roderick Strong vs Shane Sewell
Sewell actually started off in control with his high-speed WHITE LUCHA~, but Strong caught him off the ropes with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. He immediately pulled Sewell up and hit the Death By Roderick for the three-count.
Winner via pinfall: Roderick Strong (2:13)

Low Ki and Homicide arrived backstage and walked past everybody, who immediately shut up and watched them go by.

Chuck Taylor was backstage and he said he was finally going to make his first pinfall at Victory Road, he can feel it.

--Commercial Break--

The Bailout Brothers came out, and Elijah Burke again thanked their new investor. Also, Davey Richards has his tights on and a bowtie, and the bowtie is staying on for the match. Fuck yeah.

Match 3: Davey Richards w/ Burke vs Brian Kendrick w/ London
They went to the mat and it was fairly even, so they started to throw strikes, and Davey had the advantage. Kendrick kept teasing going for high-impact moves, but the most he ever actually did was a single dropkick. He pulled Davey up for a powerbomb, but Davey flipped out and turned Kendrick around into a HUGE right hand. He pulled Kendrick up for the Bankrupt Driver, but Kendrick floated over and started to do a springboard move, but just landed on his feet. He tried for a chop to Davey, but he ducked and got Kendrick with a stiff kick to the back. He nailed the Bankrupt Driver, and covered for the win.
Winner via pinfall: Davey Richards (5:23)

Richards and Burke celebrated to the back, as London helped up an upset Kendrick in the ring.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, London told Kendrick that he needed to snap out of his funk. He told him that if he’s going to continue being afraid to do any sort of high-flying moves, then The Hooliganz become as bland as The Naturals, and nobody wants to be The Naturals.

Speaking of which,

Match 4: Los Infernales vs The Naturals
Super Lucha power. Spanish Fly to Andy Douglas. Oh yeah, by the way, BRYAN FUCKING DANIELSON MADE A RUN-IN but got pinned down and carried out through the crowd in the middle of this. See, TNA fans. Every match can be exciting!
Winners via pinfall: Los Infernales (3:09)

Another backstage rap battle between the 3 Crazy Negroes.

--Commercial Break--

A pre-taped Monty Brown promo played, and he said something incomprehensible about beating Tomko.

A pre-taped Tomko promo played, saying that he never knows what Monty is saying, but he knows that he’s going to kick his ass at Victory Road.

A pre-taped Samoa Joe promo now. He said that he doesn’t buy Kurt’s spiel about wanting to wrestle a match without worrying about bullshit, at least not after what Kurt’s entire TNA career has entailed. He ran down some of Kurt’s biggest sins in TNA, and said that it was going to take a lot more than ripping a steel chair out of Roode’s hands to be forgiven. He said that he had a challenge for Kurt though, and he’d issue it this Thursday on iMPACT.

--Commercial Break--

A quick recap of last week when Dave Taylor helped Doug Williams pin Sean Morley on Xplosion.

Match 5: The Redcoats vs Sean Morley/Ricky Steamboat Jr
The Redcoats jumped at the bell, and got Ricky into their corner to isolate him. Williams busted out all the knees, and then Taylor came in to clean up on the mat. Steamboat came back after a flying dropkick, and then made the hot tag! Morley ran in with fiery punches, but eventually got caught up in the numbers games. The Brits used double team moves to beta him up some, but he caught Taylor off the ropes with a Blue Thunder Driver, then ran across and knocked Williams off the apron! Morley climbed up top for the Money Shot, but Taylor moved! Both guys fought up, and Ricky tagged himself in, immediately climbed up, and hit Taylor with a flying crossbody! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Sean Morley/Ricky Steamboat Jr (5:02)

Ricky celebrated in the ring, but Morley got up and complained that he had the match won, then stormed off.

--Commercial Break--

Match 6: Low Ki/Homicide vs Viktor Koslov/TJ Perkins
Low Ki and Homicide were their usually violent selves, multiplied when teaming together. Perkins distracted Ki from the outside, allowing Koslov to pounce. He scouted most of Ki’s comebacks, which Nash attributed to the Ki/Koslov recent history. Anyway, Low Ki caught TJ Perkins with a springboard roundhouse, and then tagged in Homicide. He cleaned house on everybody, and Koslov bailed after barely dodging a 187. Alone in the ring, Perkins fell victim to the absurdly dangerous Gringo Killer/Ghetto Stomp combination, and ‘Cide covered to win.
Winners via submission: Low Ki/Homicide (6:38)

Ki and Homicide celebrated in the ring to close the show.

TNA iMPACT: Friend or Foe

Samoa Joe comes out to start the show and talks about how he really does legitimately hate Kurt Angle, as he stands for everything awful about professional wrestling--he pretends like he’s still great despite not being great for seven years, he buys his friends and stabs them in the back to get further in the industry, he does it all for the money, and now he’s batshit insane after popping a few too many pain pills and ruining a few too many families.

Kurt Angle came out and was pissed. Joe tried to interrupt him, but Angle told him to shut up; he just let Joe spew shit for the last few minutes, and now it’s his turn. He talked about how he was willing to sacrifice it all--the wife, the alliances, the big paychecks, the BROKEN FREAKIN’ NECK--everything to come to TNA and do what he loves, to wrestle.

Joe told him to cut the shit, because everybody can see right through it. He told Angle not to pretend like he’s been Ricky Steamboat, when everybody knows he’s been Hulk Hogan. He told Angle that he can turn over a new leaf, that’s fine, but it’s not fine to lie about his intentions the last five years. But if he wants to try to act like wrestling is the only thing that matters, that’s fine. He challenged Angle to give up his politicking alliance with Jeff Jarrett, and Angle told him it was more complicated than that. Joe asked if it was more complicated than this: SAMOA JOE AND KURT ANGLE VS TEAM CANADA FOR THE TNA TAG TEAM TITLES, TONIGHT! Angle thought about it, AND AGREED. Joe left first, leaving Angle to think things over in the ring.

Commentary talked about the big announcement and then ran down the rest of the card, including Chuck Taylor vs Kevin Nash, Tomko/Styles vs The James Gang, and Jimmy Jacobs/James Storm vs Alex Shelley/Rhino.

--Commercial Break--

Team Canada barged into Dixie Carter’s office and asked how the hell Samoa Joe gets to book them in title defenses. She said that she pre-approved it, but not to worry, because Petey Williams is also in action tonight: against Chris Harris!

A quick profile on all twelve guys in the 12-man tag match for Victory Road played.

Match 1: Viktor Koslov w/ The Axis Powers vs Paul London w/ Brian Kendrick
They went to the mat, and Koslov really went after the leg, but London caught him with a deep arm drag, and worked over his shoulder some. Koslov came back after interference from his goonies, and went right back after the leg. He tried to fight London into the Moscow Cloverleaf, but London shoved him away and caught him coming back with a roll up! ONE … TWO … THRE – Koslov kicked out! They both hopped up, and London immediately hit a hurricanrana, holding the prawn! ONE … TWO … THRE – Koslov got out! London drove him into the corner with some elbows, and then set him up top. He looked to go for a superplex, but Koslov kicked him off and sent him to the mat below. He leapt off for the Russian Frog Splash, BUT LONDON MOVED! Koslov staggered to his feet, and London tried a superkick, but Koslov caught his leg AND PUT HIM INTO THE MOSCOW CLOVERLEAF! London struggled for a while and FINALLY made it to the bottom rope! Koslov pulled him up and tried the Red Scare, but London floated over AND HIT A SUPERKICK! He went up top, and came off with a Shooting Star Press! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Paul London (7:38)

London celebrated in the ring, and Kendrick eventually joined him.

Chris Daniels was backstage, and Daffney walked up and tried to apologize for last week, but Daniels pushed her, and then shoved the camera away.

--Commercial Break--

Chris Daniels came down to the ring dragging Daffney along with him. He pulled her into the ring and yelled at her for messing up last week, then slapped her across the slap! He kept screaming at her and slapping every now and then, but Booker T ran out! He told Daniels to leave the girl alone, and then shoved Daniels onto his ass. Daniels cowered into a corner, BUT DAFFNEY SNUCK UP AND KICKED BOOKER T IN THE BALLS FROM BEHIND. The rest of The Enlightened ran down, and it was a setup the whole time, etc. 2CN ran down for the save, but they ended up getting beaten down too.

Match 2: Petey Williams vs Chris Harris
Harris bumped Petey around a lot, and shut him down whenever he tried to use his “power†to come back. Petey countered a powerbomb into falling bulldog, and tried to stick on him on the ground to maintain an offense, but it didn’t last long. Harris came back after a flying shoulderblock off the ropes, and then kept his momentum going until he got off the Cataton – NO! PETEY COUNTERED INTO TORNADO DDT! ONE … TWO … THRE – HARRIS KICKED OUT! Petey immediately strapped in the Sharpshooter, but Harris fought to the ropes. Williams tried the Border’s Edge, but he couldn’t lift Harris up. He instead tried a DDT, but Harris shoved him away and caught him coming back with a big spinebuster. Petey got up holding his back, and Harris connected with the Catatonic this time! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Chris Harris (7:07)

Harris celebrated to the back, but Eric Young and Tyson Dux ran down and attacked! Petey Williams joined in the beatdown, but James Storm ran down for the save! AMW then celebrated in the ring.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Kevin Nash asked Angle what the hell his segment with Joe was about, and Angle told him to mind his own business.

Match 3: Alex Shelley/Rhino vs Jimmy Jacobs/James Storm
Commentary shed some light on why Jacobs picked Storm as his tag team partner: It was AMW who beat MCMG for the titles that led to their breakup, so he’s hoping this factor will help mess with the mental game of Alex Shelley. Anyway, the faces ran shit up front, and Shelley bailed to the outside. Rhino went to aid him, and Jacobs went for a suicide dive, but they both dodged him. They taunted him from the outside, but then turned around into a STORM PLANCHA~!

--Commercial Break--

By the time it settled into a formulaic tag match, the heels took over due to their chemistry. They worked over Storm for a bit, but it wasn’t long before he made the tag out to Jacobs. The younger guy came in with lots of fire, but overexerted himself when he try to punch at both opponents, and they ended up turning it around. Rhino tossed him around and did some clubbering, but then Shelley got in and really stretched him out on the mat. He taunted the crowd a bit too, which led to some brief Jimmy comebacks, but he always pulled him back in time. He went to put in the Border City Stretch, but Jacobs countered into an Oklahoma Roll! ONE … TWO … THRE – Shelley got out! He poked Jacobs in the eye and tried the Shellshock, but Jacobs spun away and connected with a springboard crossbody! HOT TAG TO JAMES STORM! The big man came in on fire and totally cleaned house, so Shelley tagged out to Rhino and rolled out of the ring. Jacobs got in and ran across to take Shelley out with a suicide dive! Rhino got distracted by it all, and turned right into the Eye of the Storm! Storm tagged in Jacobs really quick, who climbed up and hit his Flying Back Senton! ONE … TWO … THREE.
Winners via pinfall: Jimmy Jacobs/James Storm (13:09)

Jacobs and Storm celebrated in the ring as Shelley and Rhino escaped to the back.

Backstage, AJ Styles told Tomko that, to be honest, he doesn’t think it’s fair that Tomko gets a real match at Victory Road, but The Phenomenal One gets thrown into a cluster tag match. Tomko rolled his eyes and told Styles it was time for their match.

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: AJ Styles/Tyson Tomko vs The James Gang
Styles and Tomko actually got along just fine to bump the formerly awesome tag team around. That is, until Monty Brown came down and Tomko exited the match to chase him off. They brawled up the ramp, and the ref was going to call the match, but Styles demanded he let it stay. He agreed, and Styles immediately turned into a high knee from Kip. The James Brothers took turned beating him down, but Styles eventually hit an unsuspecting BG with his Phenomenal DDT. Kip got in, but Styles immediately nailed him with the Rack Bomb! He then went up top and hit the Frog Splash for the win.
Winners via pinfall: AJ Styles/Tyson Tomko (6:26)

As Tomko and Monty brawled to the back, AJ Styles celebrated in the ring. He then pulled Kip James up and hit the Styles Clash. He went up top and delivered a Frog Splash to BG, and a Spiral Tap to Kip, and then did a flip out of the ring and celebrated to the back. Tenay called him out for absurd showboating, but Don West told him to shut up because this is AJ’s home state.

The Bailout Brothers were backstage, and Elijah Burke said that their investor was going to be here IN TWO WEEKS ON IMPACT!

--Commercial Break--

AJ Styles found Samoa Joe backstage and sarcastically wished him luck in the tag title match tonight. Joe laughed, and then sarcastically wished AJ Styles luck in his opening match at Victory Road, and told Styles to be sure to watch the main event.

Robert Roode came out with Kevin Nash, and talked some trash about Chuck Taylor. He called him the biggest loser in the company, and said it was an embarrassment to TNA that he’s on their payroll.

Match 5: Kevin Nash w/ Robert Roode vs Chuck Taylor w/ Sean Hernandez
Nash took his time killing Chuck Taylor. He went for the Jackknife, but Taylor countered into a sunset flip! ONE … TWO … THRE – Nash kicked out! They both got up, and Nash KILLED Chuck with a big boot! He pulled his motionless body and nailed him with the Jackknife Powerbomb for the three-count.
Winner via pinfall: Kevin Nash (4:38)

Nash picked Taylor up for another Jackknife, BUT HE GOT LAID OUT BY A SPEAR FROM HERNANDEZ! Roode snuck in and tried to attack, but Hernandez turned it around and then chucked him with a Crackerjack! Hernandez helped Taylor up, and they returned to the back.

Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle met backstage, and after a long stare, they said nothing, but turned to head out to the ring together.

--Commercial Break--

Shelley and Rhino were walking backstage when they came across Angelina Love, and Shelley asked Rhino to walk ahead. Shelley asked her if she liked his belt, and she said wow, it’s big. He talked about how, as X-Division Champion, he’s able to do all kinds of cool tricks when called upon, and they walked off together.

An advertisement for Victory Road this Sunday LIVE from Atlanta, Georgia played.

Match 6: Team Canada[c] vs Kurt Angle/Samoa Joe [TNA Tag Team Championships]
Angle and Joe took turns killing Tyson Dux, but it got out of hand and they were distracted with in-fighting, which allowed Dux to hotshot Joe on his side, and tag out. Young tried to work Joe on the mat, but had little success, until Dux got involved from the outside, and Young capitalized with a hotshot of his own. The tag champs took turns choking the life out of Joe, and then Young put in a Sleeper. Joe fought up and wrestled him away, and caught him coming back with a snap powerslam! ONE ... TWO … THR – Young kicked out! Young got up, but Joe clotheslined him to the outside, and followed up with a plancha! He pulled EY up, but Dux attacked Joe on the floor! Team Canada double-teamed him, until Angle took them out with his FLYING FLIPPING SENTON!

--Commercial Break--

Angle and Joe were again killing Dux, and this time it went much smoother. Angle finally went for the Olympic Slam, but Dux floated through and ran over to tag in Young! Angle and EY started fresh and went to the mat, where Young showed some promise, but Angle still showed him up. He wrenched over Young’s arm, but the pace picked up and went into a back-and-forth of moves and counters, until Young got the advantage after a big German Suplex. He and Dux picked Angle apart on their side, and normal isolation and teased comebacks ensued. Angle finally caught Dux with his Triple Germans, AND THEN TAGGED IN SAMOA JOE! Joe came in ON FIRE~ and cleaned house on both tag champs! Headbutt to Young! STO to Dux! Powerslam to Young! Dragon Suplex to Dux! ONE … TWO … THRE – YOUNG BROKE IT UP! Angle ran into the ring and tackled Young to the mat! He pulled him up and hit him with a belly-to-belly that sent EY over the top rope and to the outside! Joe and Angle bounced Dux around the ring, and Angle tossed him to Joe, who picked him up for the Muscle Buster! Angle went up top and Joe tagged him in! OLYMPIC MOONSAULT! ONE … TWO … THRE – NO! ERIC YOUNG SLID IN AND BROKE IT UP! Joe went to tackle him away, but Young lowbridged him to the outside! Angle grabbed him from behind for a German Suplex, but Dux broke that up AND HIT ANGLE WITH HIS NORTH OF THE BORDER BRAINBUSTER! ONE … TWO … THRE – NO! ANGLE KICKED OUT! Young tagged in and went to put Angle in the Sharpshooter, but Angle wrestled away AND PUT IN THE ANKLE LOCK! Dux ran into the ring, but Angle let go of the lock AND HIT DUX WITH AN OLYMPIC SLAM! He turned right back, AND PUT THE ANKLE LOCK BACK IN ON YOUNG! He kept pulling at it, but he looked over on the floor where Joe was getting back up, AND SOMEBODY SNUCK DOWN AND LEVELED JOE FROM BEHIND WITH THE RING BELL! IT WAS JEFF JARRETT! THE REF DIDN’T SEE IT! Angle let go of the lock and started yelling at Jarrett, but Jarrett yelled back that Joe is the enemy. Angle flipped Jarrett off, and then turned around, RIGHT INTO THE SLAPSHOT FROM TEAM CANADA! Eric Young covered the World Champion! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall and still TNA Tag Team Champions: Team Canada (14:42)

Team Canada celebrated in the ring, but America’s Most Wanted ran down and chased them to the back! Samoa Joe rolled into the ring and looked down at Angle, unsure of what to do. Meanwhile Jeff Jarrett snuck back into the ring and hit Samoa Joe with the Stroke! He stomped away at him, but Angle pulled him off! They got in each other’s faces, AND ANGLE PUNCHED HIM IN THE FAZE~! They traded blows, and Angle finally hit the Olympic Slam! He turned around, AND SAMOA JOE … handed him the TNA Championship. Joe said to enjoy that belt until Sunday, because then it comes back to Samoa Joe. He returned up the ramp, and Angle watched him go up to close the show.

Taz and Jim Cornette welcomed us to Xplosion tonight, and Cornette explained that he was filling in for Kevin Nash here because Nash was getting ready for his match on Sunday with Roode against the team of Sean Hernandez and Chuck Taylor.

Match 1: Chad Collyer vs Scott Lost
Lots of fun mat work at the start, which Collyer mostly dominated. It slowly evolved into more of a brawl, and Lost found his element. He got off a series of big strikes, and then focused his effort on Collyer’s neck. He tried for the Big Fat Kill, but Collyer ducked under it and hopped up to hit a Northern Lights Suplex! ONE … TWO … THRE – His neck gave out and he lost the bridge. They both got up, but Colley immediately unloaded with big suplexes, and topped it off with a Gargoyle! ONE … TWO … THRE – Lost got an arm up! Collyer pulled him up and tried a German, but Scott blocked it. He tried a powerbomb, but Collyer shoved away, ducked under it, and nailed his German Suplex! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Chad Collyer (6:48)

A pre-taped Jimmy Jacobs promo played, and he said that he’s been waiting for a long time to prove his worth to Alex Shelley, so Victory Road is do-or-die for him.

A pre-taped Alex Shelley promo played, and he listed for us some more people he’s beaten in TNA: Sonjay Dutt, Jarelle Clark, Mr. Aguila, Mikey Batts, Konnan …

--Commercial Break--

… Volador, Homicide, Petey Williams, Low Ki, and Chris Sabin. And after Sunday, he’ll be able to add Jimmy Jacobs to that list.

Match 2: Ricky Steamboat Jr vs Patrick Schulz w/ Brutus Magnus
Steamboat started out in control, but Magnus interference helped Schulz mount an offense. He got really cocky, and it allowed Ricky to make his comeback. He got off big chops, and then a big twisting enzuigiri! ONE … TWO … THRE – Schulz kicked out! Steamboat went up top and tried a flying crossbody, but Schulz ducked! Steamboat stumbled up and Schulz charged with a lariat, but Steamboat ducked and caught him off the ropes with a small package! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Ricky Steamboat Jr (4:38)

Little Ricky celebrated to the back.

--Commercial Break--

Ricky Steamboat Jr found Sean Morley backstage and asked if he just got here. Morley said no, and asked why, and Steamboat asked why he wasn’t in his corner tonight. Morley then went off and accused Ricky of thinking he’s soooo cool just because he gets to be on iMPACT and now PPVS, and then he stormed off.

Paul London sat Brian Kendrick down in the back and asked why the hell he refused to do any sort of high-flying move. Kendrick said it was too risky, and it cost them the titles at Sacrifice, so it wouldn’t happen again. London told him that he needed to get over it in about 20 minutes, because they have a match tonight.

The Enlightened was backstage in a dark room, but you could hear Christopher Daniels talking. He sent a message to the 3 Crazy Negroes that they were going to be made an example of this Sunday, and then The Enlightened would move on to bigger and better things.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: Monty Brown vs Amazing Red
Monty was totally ruthless here. Red did get off some dropkicks and shit, but Monty never went down. Red went up top and tried a flying wheel kick, but Monty caught him and hit the Alpha Bomb!!! Nash marked out on commentary and shouted for Monty to do the POUNCE, BABY! He obliged, then pinned.
Winner via pinfall: Monty Brown (1:59)

Monty picked Red up and hit him with another POUNCE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~. Period, then grabbed a microphone. TYSON TOMKO YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU DID TO AWAKEN DA BIGGEST FISH IN THE CAVE OF WOMBATS CHASIN’ AFTER DA BIG ASS HERD OF RHINOCERSAUROUSES. YOU GON’ DIE.

--Commercial Break--

Low Ki was walking backstage when TJ Perkins ran up and attacked him from behind! He shouted that at Victory Road, he would became famous at Ki’s expense, and then he ran off before Ki could get up.

Match 4: Sean Hernandez w/ Chuck Taylor vs Kip James w/ BG James
Hernandez ran shit right off the start. When BG tried to get involved, Chuck Taylor pulled him off the apron. Kip shouted at Chuckie T to the outside, then turned right into a big Spear! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Sean Hernandez (45 – 0) (3:05)

A big Angle/Joe promo played, going over their entire extensive history, dating all the way back to Angle’s debut in TNA, him handing Joe his first ever loss in TNA, their battles over all the TNA titles, their epic match at last year’s BFG, and Angle’s recent behavior against Planet Jarrett and seemingly offering an olive branch to Samoa Joe.

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: The Hooliganz vs Viktor Koslov/Doug Williams
London and Kendrick had the advantage at the start, but that all changed after a big knee from Williams on the apron to London. He turned around to mouth off to Williams, but then walked right into a big lariat from Koslov. CAN THE HOOLIGANZ COME BACK FROM THIS?!

--Commercial Break--

The heels worked over London in the corner for a while, but he ducked under Williams’ flying double knees and made the hot tag! Kendrick cleaned house with big clotheslines, and then he took Koslov to the mat and tried to wear him down slowly. He worked over the arm, and London shouted at him from the apron to “fucking end it, bro.†He went for a Brainbuster on Koslov, but he floated over and grabbed a backslide! ONE … TWO … THRE – Kendrick kicked out! Both guys tagged out, and London and Williams went back-and-forth with high-flying moves, with London ultimately getting the advantage after a bunch of dropsaults, and finally a standing SSP! ONE … TWO … THRE – Williams kicked out! London pulled him up and tried the Waffle Face, but Koslov rushed the ring and broke it up. He pounded away at London, but Kendrick ran in and nailed Koslov with a superkick! He helped London hit a double reverse suplex, and then London tagged out to Kendrick! He yelled at Kendrick to climb up top and do a Shooting Star Press! Kendrick hesitantly went up and started to do it, but then chickened out and tagged back out. London was pissed, but got up and hit the SSP on Williams anyway. ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: The Hooliganz (12:17)

The Hooliganz celebrated in the ring, but The Bailout Brothers ran down (in their suits) and attacked them! Homicide and Ricky Jr ran down to even the odds, but Petey Williams and TJ Perkins were close behind to join in on the brawl. LOW KI ran down and gunned right for Perkins, and pretty soon bodies were being thrown everywhere. After a big finisher train, Ricky Jr hit Doug Williams with a Superplex, and then all eleven guys were done! At that point, AJ Styles ran down, climbed up top, and hit Doug Williams with the Spiral Tap, and then celebrated to the back on his own.

A big promo to hype the whole Victory Road card played to close out the show.

Pre-Show
Volador/Los Infernales over Dave Taylor/The Young Bucks
Scott Lost vs Amazing Red went to a no-contest when Bryan Daniels ran out and attacked them both before being chased out by security.
Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong over Jihad
Abyss over Rhino

Commentary welcomed us to the show and ran down the card, especially hyping the HUGE main event of Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle.

Match 1: AJ Styles/Homicide/Low Ki/The Hooliganz/Ricky Steamboat Jr vs Petey Williams/Viktor Koslov/Doug Williams/The Bailout Brothers/TJ Perkins
Basic spotfest, with the mini-feuds like Ki/Perkins, Bailout Brothers/Hooliganz, and Steamboat/Petey. About halfway through, all the heels went through and got nearfalls on Styles, so Styles left the match! Ricky, and then Kendrick played the face in peril, and even after potential hot tags, the faces had trouble keeping an advantage due to the numbers game. Low Ki and Homicide worked together to finally get some good momentum for their team, but Koslov, Doug, and TJ worked together to keep them down on the floor. In the ring, Ricky went up top for a flying crossbody, but Petey caught him and tossed him away with a fallaway slam! He went to put Ricky into a Sharpshooter, but Kendrick ran over and leveled him with a superkick! The Hooliganz and The Bailout Brothers went back-and-forth for a bit, until Richards tackled London out of the ring, leaving just Burke and Kendrick. Burke went for the Bankrupt Bomb, but Kendrick floated out and countered with a sitout facebuster! He went up top, and thought about it for a long time, AND HE WENT FOR THE SHOOTING STAR PRES – NO! BURKE GOT THE KNEES UP! Kendrick staggered around, RIGHT INTO THE BANKRUPT BOMB! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Petey Williams/Viktor Koslov/Doug Williams/The Bailout Brothers/TJ Perkins (7:43)

The Bailout Brothers celebrated in the ring, and Burke called for a mic. He said that their investor would be ecstatic by this victory, and he repeated that their new investor would be on iMPACT this coming Thursday!

Chuck Taylor was backstage and said that, Robert Roode, FINALLY! Chuck Taylor was gonna run wild on YOU! Because Chuck Taylor said so!

Backstage, Lauren asked AJ Styles why he left in the middle of his match, and he said that he didn’t even belong in an opening 12-man tag, so the fans were lucky to see any of him there.

Hype video.

Match 2: Robert Roode/Kevin Nash vs Sean Hernandez/Chuck Taylor
Hernandez started out on fire, but then Chuck wanted in and it went downhill. He got tossed around by Nash, but quickly managed to crawl over and tag in Hernandez. Slingshot shoulderblock to Nash, and then a Spear out of the corner! ONE … TWO … THR – Roode broke it up! Roode kept trying to stomp at him, but Hernandez powered up and chucked him away with a Cracker Jack! He turned around, and Nash leveled him with a big boot! He immediately pounced on him and kept him grounded until Roode could help out, and then they worked together to keep him down. It was clearly a struggle to do so, but they had moderate success. That is, until he caught Nash of the ropes with a Thrust Spinebuster, and then picked up an incoming Roode, and tossed him away with a Biel throw, then tagged in Chuck Taylor! He went up top! FLYING SPLASH TO NASH! ONE … TWO … THRE – NASH KICKED OUT! Taylor pulled him up and tried a DDT, but Nash tossed him away and he walked right into a sidewalk slam from the big man. At this point, Taylor just got absolutely raped in the heel corner, and especially Roode was absolutely ruthless. Not many BIG MOVES~, just general toying with, slapping around, and choking on the ropes in Roode fashion. Roode decided to finish it with the Roode Awakening, but Taylor kicked away and nearly made the tag, but Roode caught his leg! ENZUIGIRI! HOT TAG! Hernandez came in ON FIRE~, and cleaned house. Nash tried a big boot, but Hernandez ducked under and laid him out with a big Spear! He pulled him up for the Border Toss, but Roode came in and attacked! He tried to get Hernandez with the Payoff, but Hernandez shoved him off, AND CHUCK TAYLOR TOOK HIM OUT WITH A SPRINGBOARD DROPKICK! Hernandez pulled Nash up and hit the Border Toss! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Sean Hernandez/Chuck Taylor (9:01) [Hernandez: (48 – 0)]

Hernandez and Taylor celebrated to the back.

Backstage, the 3 Crazy Negroes said that The Enlightened has been crampin’ their style for a long time now, and it’s time for that to stop. Lethal/Creed said that after this they were coming for the tag titles, and Booker T said that he was looking to wind down his career, and putting down a punk like Daniels would be a great way to go out.

The Enlightened were backstage, and Kaz was about to talk, but Daniels shut him up. Daniels said that power was just starting to consolidate in this group of individuals, and tonight was just a stepping stone to their greater goal: control of TNA.

Bryan Danielson was walking backstage, and he came across Samoa Joe! They shared a glare for a while, and finally Danielson wished Joe good luck tonight. Joe thanked him, and carried on his way.

Backstage, Homicide and Low Ki were pissed about losing, but Homicide said he had an idea to make this night infinitely better, homes.

Rhino was pumping up Alex Shelley in the back, for his title match later, and Shelley turned to the camera and said that he was going to put down Jimmy Jacobs just like he put down Chris Sabin.

Match 3: The Enlightened vs 3 Crazy Negroes
Daniels and Booker T started it off on the mat, and it was advantage Booker. He was extremely aggressive, but got too caught up in it and ended up being trapped in the heel corner. All three guys of the Enlightened used quick tags to work together and keep him down. Samoa Joe was strapping on his boots in the back.

Team Canada came out to the ring and said that finally the championships representing unity were on the waists of a team that hails from a country of harmony, not from a country of war, corporatism, cronyism, and moral failure. AMW finally came out with AMERICAN FLAGS~ to shut them up.

Match 7: Team Canada[c] w/ Petey Williams vs America’s Most Wanted w/ Jackie Moore [TNA Tag Team Championships]
The challengers started out with a head of steam, but they were clearly more cautious to not underestimate Young and Dux this time. He rested up against the ropes as the referee handed him the TNA Championship, and commentary put over the fact that Joe’s 27-month journey had finally come to the ultimate goal: the TNA World Championship. Joe hugged the belt, and then dropped to a knee and kissed the title. He got up and celebrated in the ring some, and eventually Kurt Angle got up as well. The two bloody TNA icons stared across the ring at each other for a while, and eventually Kurt Angle extended his hand! Joe thought about it … and he accepted the handshake! Angle pulled it in for a side-hug, and then gracefully exited the ring. Joe continued celebrating in the ring with his new title belt until the show faded to a close.

FLYING SPLASH TO NASH! ONE … TWO … THRE – NASH KICKED OUT! Taylor pulled him up and tried a DDT, but Nash tossed him away and he walked right into a sidewalk slam from the big man.
