That is mostly a fair description of the parties, but I think the Conservative party is not as bad as people say it is, I think it gets a bad rep mostly because of the bias media. But I gotta say I have a place in my heart for the Bloc for obvious reasons.
Honestly, I feel as though the calls on media bias I need to take with a grain of salt. There are sometimes where it is blatantly obvious, sometimes it may be subtle in the word choice and perhaps even unconscious (which exists in everyone from Journalists to average people) but there are times where I find people call bias/fake news just because there is a story which is negative about one party or the other. I think something to keep in mind is that, on average, Canada is more left-leaning. I say that because there have been more "viable" parties who have been left-leaning as opposed to right-leaning in Canada.
For example on parties which lean a bit more left we have: The Liberals, the NDP, the Green's policy aside from some economic values mean they are a touch more left. They are parties that have been somewhat consistently getting seats, with the NDP even serving as opposition at one time. The Bloc, from what I see have some left values they have preached before(like unionization) but their calls for Quebec sovereignty/a stronger voice for the province speak to call to both sides of the spectrum. (Remember, nationalism is not an ideology in itself, but an ideal)
Then the right we have had some times where there were multiple right-leaning parties in Canadian history (like the Reform/Canadian Alliance being around at the same time as the original PC party) but they found they split their support and that resulted usually in them not winning, hence why they united to become the current Conservative party. The PPC right now have garnered an amount of support I feel a bit worrying, but they have not gained any seats yet in two elections (although sadly...in New Brunswick the People's Alliance have gained a few seats and that scares me considering their typical anti-French stances as someone who is Acadien despite her inability to speak French well). But what the PPC have done was split some of the support of the conservatives mainly appealing to the more radical right, thus hurting their seats. In fact, there is a chance that not the last election but the one before there could have been a Conservative minority, but the PPC made them lose key ridings.
