So some of us on WS have occasionally discussed where we lie on the political spectrum from time to time. This thread isn't designed go cause conflict, but rather showcase what sort of political ideology we are likely to fall under whether we consciously realize it or not. In this video, each major ideology of politics is explained in quick detail with some surprising revelations carried within.



So with that video finished, feel free to take part in the political compass and see which ideology you might closely associate with, whether realizing it or not.

I do feel that I'm more right wing but these tests always seem to think folks that are right wing don't understand gender or sex stuff. I'm all for open sex as you can't control what you're sexually attracted. I took this test and got more left and Libertarian, I'm guessin' it was those questions that shifted where I was at.

Or outside of the economic class system, you've been fooled into thinking you're right wing when you're not !

I don't feel like taking it again bc I do these all the time when I'm bored but I'm always right around 75% or higher left and like right on the middle line of libertarian and authoritarian

The one I normally do is on isidewith.com and you rate how important each topic is to you so they aren't all weighted equally if say you pick one right wing side and then one left wing side but you care more about the right wing topic and not as much about the left one. I think it mostly prevents results being skewed if some topics have more questions than others

I'm more socially libertarian than authoritarian than I would have imagined. But a lot of the questions had to do with pride n knee bending for country over people and that's 100% not me so that makes sense

Considering I always say "I'm just right of center" I would say this compass is pretty accurate.

These functions are good. Because people believe they are politically aligned - based on like one or two issues. And often are surprised their reserved seat is on the other side of the aisle.

I'll never forget the time in high school when one of my friends got another of our friends to take one of these bc he thought it'd be some kind of "gotcha" moment to prove he wasn't as conservative as he thought.
