The Official Royal Rumble Thread

There is really only 3 realistic possibilities in my mind that could take the Rumble this year imo. The only ones that would make much sense are Batista, Taker, and of course Trips. My gut instict would be this order of chances.

1. Trips
2. Taker
3. Tista

I just don't see anyone else having a shot. It just wouldn't make much sense. Anyways, here's my predictions.

World Heavyweight Championship Match
- Edge (c) vs. Rey Mysterio

WWE Championship Match
- Randy Orton (c) vs. Jeff Hardy

Career Threatening Match
- United States Champion MVP vs. Ric Flair

- Chris Jericho vs. JBL (By DQ. There has to be at least 1, why not this one)

Edge wins with help from his cronies.

WWE Championship Match
- Randy Orton (c) vs. Jeff Hardy

I'm predicting one of two outcomes....

Orton clean via RKO or Jeff Hardy winning via DQ

Career Threatening Match
- United States Champion MVP vs. Ric Flair

Flair of course. Figure 4 more than likely.

Grudge Match
- Chris Jericho vs. JBL

Neither, Double DQ or Countout or DRAW.

I have Rumble already ordered, I can't wait.

^So you think there going to have Jericho wrestle twice tonight?? I don't see that happening. I think someone shocking is coming back in at least one if not two of those spots. This is one of the biggest PPV's of the year, so they have to do something good or unpredictable for it. Here are my predicitions:

Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy WWE title
I'm going to take Randy Orton in a clean victory for the first time well maybe ever during this title reign.

Edge vs. Rey Mysterio
Edge wins. I think this the least entertaining match on the card because I can't possibly see Mysterio winning so for me this match is pretty much meaningless.

MVP vs. Flair
Although I can't see a situation where Flair loses, this match is going to be great imo. I think the emtion that these Flair matches involve make them really, really good. Flair wins

JBL vs. Jericho
Although he's been getting the shit kicked out of him lately I'm going to say JBL wins this match. I think it'll be a good match and I'll be rooting for Jericho, but I don't see him winning.

30 Man Royal Rumble
This is a tough one for me. I really thought that Undertaker was going to win, now I'm leaning towards HHH. I'm officially going to take Undertaker winning with HHH coming in second. I look for Punk to look good in this match and last for a while and I do NOT look for RVD to come back in any capacity. I'll be shocked if Lashley or the Big Show don't come back.

Nah, he beat Shawn cleanly at Survivor Series. He just got Superkicked after the match >_>

I agree about Edge winning, but I'll say it again. I expect this match to steal the show.

Agree about Flair winning and its in the Garden, so the crowd will be hot for this match.

I'm unsure about the JBL-Jericho match because it doesn't make much sense to have JBL lose his first PPV match in years.

I agree about Punk looking good (Making the last four at the least!) but I'll take it a step further and say that he will WIN the Royal Rumble. New York is one of those places where people will go nuts if Punk wins. I know he's a long shot, but I'm still picking him.

Either way, from top to bottom this looks like one of the best Rumble cards in a while. I'm hoping WWE doesn't screw it up with shoddy booking and just let their talent go out and tear the house down.

Hardy vs Orton - im staying with this, i thought about it before. but raw got me confused after putting jeff over orton week after week. but i still believe they'll give him the title. maybe a heel turn in the future...you could tell by him not shaking orton's hand. <<aggresion, anger, hate= dark side of the force

Jericho vs JBL - i have no clue how people are thinking that jericho's gonna win. a series of losses leading to his heel turn...

RR match:
ok this is tough. we got like 6 spots left.
