Shaquille O’Neal Match At WrestleMania?

At least WWE can be confident that Shaq will be cheered against Show and they won't get a repeat of what happened with Mayweather where they had to change plans and turn Mayweather heel for the feud.

Like Slim said WM can never have too much buzz so Shaq wrestling on the card plus Rock vs. Cena will just keep adding more and more buys to the buyrate.

Shaq would add a lot more than Snooki since the crossover between wrestling fans and NBA fans would be higher than wrestling fans and the strange people that watch Jersey Shore. Plus Shaq wrestling would get WWE a lot more mainstream media coverage.

Yeah, that is true and I was only using Snooki as a reference. I'm a Jersey Shore fan btw and it does get high ratings so it would get WWE a few more buys if people knew she was wrestling.

I just think that more NBA fans would be likely to buy WM because Shaq is wrestling than there would be Jersey Shore fans that would consider buying WM because Snooki wrestled.

Yeah there is no parallel comparison between Snooki and Shaq. Snooki is on Jersey Shore which is MTV. Shaq is known worldwide for NBA, charities, and the other things that he's attempted. He's been all over TV for years. He is extremely charismatic. Shaq is light years ahead of Snooki and would bring in a lot more than just NBA fans to tune in. Shaq is in a league of his own. He is a huge star and the buyrate would definitely increase. And although he leaked it... in a way it is good cause it'll get people talking even longer about it than they would have if WWE would have had it released when they wanted... which more than likely would have been in March and had a one month buzz when now there can be 3 full months. That... is WWE's problem but is another thread.

And as far as D-Bry goes... he could be a good heel. Just a submission machine that takes people out, makes them all tap and doesn't have to say much. Yeah he prob won't get that much of a reaction but it would work.

I'd love to have Shaq around WWE for the annual celebrity match at Mania. He's done a great job with them in the past.

Do you think that Shaq would stick around in WWE for a while since he has no retired from the NBA?

I can see him making more appearances than this one match since he is a genuine fan and I am sure he would love to be on the show a few more times throughout the year. They could even make him guest RAW GM for a month or two.

I mean he actually enjoys the product and isn't just there to sell some product or promote a movie. He actually enjoys WWE and is there because he loves it.

This is a solid idea. Since they seem to always want a Celebrity at Mania, Shaq is top notch. He can cut a promo, is athletic, and is marketable. Not a bad idea.

Update

-- Word is that basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal is either very close to signing or has already signed a deal for WrestleMania 28. WWE creative has been told to come up with ideas for him.

I can't wait then as I'd love Shaq to be at Mania and this way Big Show can be on the card without being in a top match or the WHC match. Shaq would get WWE a lot of attention too, the guy is still athletic and has charisma.

After WM28, I'd like to see him stick around for a little longer and possibly as the RAW GM? That'd be great but I don't know if he'd like to be there weekly.
