The idea of this thread just came to me, thanks to my remembrance of the whole "Vince's Limo Explodes" angle that happened a few years back. The fact that he returned within a month of that happening, just fine, was ridiculous and poorly thought out. Even though the Benoit Tragedy did happen shortly after that, once you do something like that, you need to commit to it. At least, that's the way I see it. It may have seemed tasteless at the time to keep an angle like that going considering the real life circumstances, but the way they did it made the angle look both tasteless and nonsensical.

So, the idea is to just list a few angles and event that have happened in the history of wrestling that you saw as illogical or just downright ridiculous.

Of course I've already mentioned the McMahon-Limo situation. Something down that alley would also be the hanging of The Big Bossman back at WrestleMania 2000. It was Undertaker vs. Big Bossman in a hell in a cell match, in the heat of the Ministry of Darkness vs. Corporation feud and after Taker had defeated Bossman, the Brood came down from the ceiling, dropped a noose in, and the Ministry hung The Big Bossman from the cell, live on PPV.

Not only was that extremely dangerous but do you wanna know what happened about two weeks later?

The Big Bossman came back, unphased. For God's sake, at least show him at some point before his return, proving that he is indeed alive. Maybe do a hospital angle where he's in a coma or in the ICU, show us that he's not dead before we just spot him standing next to The McMahons a few Raw's later! As if nothing even happened...

So that's my first one. I'll think of some more later, but what are some of the more seneseless things you can remember throughout wrestling history?

Well besides the absolute idiocy of the current Cena/Kane feud I'd like to take a fond look back at yet another feud that involved Kane. That of course would be the infamous Katie Vick angle, where we were treated to HHH dry humping a mannequin in a casket among other tasteless morsels. I really can't even begin to describe how cringe-worthy those segments were and how often I just changed the channel to avoid them entirely.

Another one that was just unbelievably dumb (and in wrestling its hard to reach that level) was the Al Wilson/Dawn Marie love angle. I honestly wanted to shoot myself whenever this crap was on and the grand finale hardly payed anyone off. On the bright side there was some hinted lesbian sex between Dawn Marie and Torrie, but that wasn't enough for me to enjoy it. I can just watch any old lesbian porn or go to a rave for that.

Oh and before anyone brings it up, I will argue to anyone that will listen that the Tim White suicide angle does not belong in this thread because it was hilarious!

Katie Vick.

Man, that was terrible.

Also, I'm going to say most of Kevin Sullivan's stables in WCW were terrible (The Varisity Club being the exception.)

I love Kevin Sullivan, the dude's awesome, but The Three Faces of Fear as well The Dungeon of Doom were incredibly awful. The only saving graces were Sullivan's great mic work, and the birth of The Giant aka Big Show of course.

Otherwise, we saw terrible gimmicks ranging from The Shark to The Zodiac, as well as one of the most embarassing segments in the history of wrestling... The debut of The Yeti. In case somebody doesn't know what it is I'm talking about...

Without going into much detail, Reese debuted as a Mummy named The Yeti, who was frozen in a block of ice. At Halloween Havoc, after a match between Hogan and Giant, the ice melted and The Yeti came alive. Sullivan and The Giant jumped Hulk. Giant put a bearhug on Hulk, and The Yeti jumped in, bearhugging him from the back (if you can call it that), and basically you had two seven feet dudes gangbanging Hulk. They were trying to bearhug him, but clearly neither of them knows the diffrence between a bearhug and a forced humping.

How awful.

I don't mind him either and Viper the Bella twins hitting on every guest host is a far cry from the shit we have already mentioned...

I am also gonna state David Arquette being champ deserves a mention here.

This!

Let's not forget Hendereich raping Cole.

Anything involving Micheal Cole being raped isn't senseless at all. I say bring Hendereich back and let him rape Cole again!

When Rick Flair was the black scorpion or whatever. Everyone knew it was him.
