Scream (2022)

Movie has been out long enough anyway :francis

True and I agree with Stu being alive. You saw Amber seemly dead and she comes back with her face burned and is still alive. What I wonder if Billy is fooling around with Sam's Mom around the time of the first film how many other kids he's got in these streets?

Billy had a very emphatic death in the first movie; I seriously don’t think he can come back.

I’m torn on whether I want Stu to come back or not.

Matthew Lillard was so good in the role but how the hell are they going to explain where he’s been for the last 25+ years?

Welp I thought about that once or twice. Stu is disfigured from the events of Scream 1 and you would imagine because of him doing the Murders with Billy he needed to hide from everyone. I've seen Sith Lords bide their time and getting someone like Anakin Skywalker to join the Dark side going back to him being a little kid. It could be the perfect time to come back if they wanted to bring him back.

I just figured he’d be in a mental asylum

Even better. They could what It Chapter 2 did in both versions of the Story they had someone help to get that person out. Stu gets out of the Asylum via Billy speaking to him and getting him to embrace that evil side again after maybe changing himself for so long. They could always introduce some fan of Billy and Stu's work and that helps him get out. Billy clearly had his Weiner all over Woodsboro you could have his Child teaming with Stu to to kill Sidney and Company.

I know that they toyed with the idea of bringing him back for Scream 3. Which, no matter how ridiculous, probably would have been a better ending than the one that we got.

But I’m just not sure it’s the right direction to go, just because a lot of the fans want it to happen.

I did rewatch the film on Sunday and I’m still mad about that hospital scene with Dewey. It was like the ending to Scream 4, where the hospital was completely deserted. That wouldn’t happen in basically any country in the world.
