Yeah I agree. Wrestlers also tend to be idiots a lot so I don't think it's bad to try and further idiot proof your system to prevent it either. No I agree. I’m I’m not one of the ones saying that Jeff should’ve gotten any trouble. I only mentioned it because now we know he wasn’t concussed so he was thinking straight so he probably shouldn’t have agreed to do the finish either but that’s not here nor there. Sammy should’ve knew better either way.

Oh one thing I feel is being lost in the miscommunication possibility aspect is that....let's also just examine common sense here lol you just landed on someone's face with your knee full force, the ref pauses action, checks on him, tells you (probably frantically) to go home....man I give some benefit of the doubt of this all happening so fast truly but you don't SMACK THE MAN IN THE FACE WITH YOUR KNEE AGAIN I don't really care what take it home might normally mean when looking at the facts here, but I have no bad feelings towards Sammy either, he just fucked up here and everyone is lucky it wasn't worse. Better to learn this way than the alternative

Why not have the ref specifically tell Sammy to "roll him up and pin him" instead of "go to the finish"

Sammy made a mistake but I do think the communication could be better

because at this point Sammy is a veteran and should know the verbiage and the protocol. While I agree better communication is always a thing that can be done, there has to be a sense of common sense as well.

We don't even know what the exact communication was for one lol and I never said it couldn't have, I just said they should have their own word for concussion protocol so everyone knows what's happening instantly. My point is even if it was worded as "take it home" that doesn't really make me feel for Sammy anymore than otherwise

yeah I mean we're also using 3rd hand info so we don't know what was actually discussed and what the verbiage is, so now that I'm thinking about it, I suppose there's not much point debating it too much. clearly some miscommunication happened in aew felt a suspension was needed. I suppose those are the only verifiable facts atm unless Sammy makes a statement
