That's my philosophy.
Anyway, I'm not very good with this sort of thing. I don't really get much of an emotional reaction to any music, but my Mum always plays this one on piano when something bad happens like a family death. I guess I just kind of associate it negativity.
Also, I feel obliged to get a cheap Hibs plug in here. NGL, it's not really a negative song, but I did cry when this was sung

I think you has many a bone for James Blunt.
His songs a good but I don't care much for his voice tbh.
Makes me think Gears/Donie Darko every time I hear it... Such a sad song. I use to listen to it and cry when I was depressed.
Really sad when you realize he wrote it whilst dying of aids, basically saying goodbye to everyone he knows and reflecting on his life.
