Dragon Gate USA announced at tonight’s “Mercury Rising 2012″ Internet PPV that DGUSA, EVOLVE, Chikara, and CZW will be running iPPVs at next year’s WrestleMania Weekend in the New York-New Jersey area. Ring of Honor will also be likely running iPPV events as they have the past few years, which would be five promotions running iPPV events during that weekend.

Sorry I'm late on this but I seem to remember watching him once somewhere. I can't seem to remember though.

Luke Williams, who is was a former WWE Superstar, was recently on Fight Club in Chicago. During the interview, Williams discussed giving John Laurinaitis his start. “We broke him in the business,” said Williams. “We were in NWA and he came in and Dusty [Rhodes] put him with us. Dusty was the booker at the time and he put him with us to learn the business. When he first started, he carried our flag and after a year or so, we went into the six-man’s and all that. John is a very educated man; he’s got a bachelor’s in business. I left in 1988 to go to wwe and he went to WCW and teamed up with Shane Douglas.”

-- We noted earlier today here on the website that Canadian Wrestling Elite announced that "Psycho" Sid Vicious will not be appearing at tonight's show at Maples Community Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba because he missed his scheduled flight this morning. According to CWE official Danny Warren, Vicious explained that he was sore from setting up bleachers last night and decided to sleep in.

"Unfortunately at this time I have to regretfully inform everyone that "Psycho" Sid Vicious decided not to get on his plane this morning, first because he "slept in" followed by not wanting to get on another flight as his knees were sore from setting up bleachers last night.. Yes, f*cking bleachers. Refunds will be available tonight for anyone who would like one," Warren wrote on Facebook.

Vicious has a history of being unreliable to wrestling promoters as he has no-showed several scheduled appearances throughout his career. More recently, Vicious skipped an advertised appearance for Pro Wrestling Syndicate on March 9, explaining that his wallet was stolen and couldn't make his scheduled flight. In response, event promoter Pat Buck called Vicious during the show in the middle of the ring and had the audience boo him while leaving a voice message. Buck then disclosed Vicious' phone number to fans.

Re: Indy Tidbits, Rumors & General Discussion

The #7LevelsOfHate series is over and Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana has emerged victorious. However, due to a decision by the new NWA Board of Governors, the NWA World's Heavyweight Championship was not on the line. Exclusively here, watch the emotional aftermath to #7LevelsOfHate uncut, featuring some candid comments from both "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce and Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana.

So the much publicized "7 Levels of Hate" ends with the NWA getting buried once again. Phenomenal booking job NWA committee.

Re: Indy Tidbits, Rumors & General Discussion

This seems worth noting: the first HD/3D TV taping in pro wrestling.

- The Crossfire promotion returns to Nashville on Saturday night. They are advertising their event as the first HD/3D national TV taping in pro wrestling history. The show is scheduled to feature WWE Legends "Cowboy" Bob Orton and Tito Santana, former WWE wrestlers Chris Masters, Carlito, Matt Hardy, Shane Helms, Shane Douglas, Brian Christopher, and Paul Burchill, current TNA wrestler Kid Kash, Jerry Lynn, and Divas Maria Kanellis, Jillian Hall, and Reby Sky.

Re: Indy Tidbits, Rumors & General Discussion

That's a pretty big milestone for a promotion I've never even heard of!

Forgot to comment on the Cabana/Pearce video, great stuff. Very intense. It seems nobody wants the NWA title nowadays, Cabana makes a good point about it being all about the future now not the past.
