Paraphrasing from the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, which subscribers can read
here:
There were 5 releases from NXT this week: Bodhi Hayward, Sloane Jacobs, Erica Yan, Damaris Griffin, and Ru Feng. WWE apparently has an unwritten rule where they want new signees to make TV within 2 years and they'll be signing a lot of people who don't, so expect more NXT releases regularly. Dave says Bodhi (real name Brady Booker) was the only one that surprised him, especially since he was injured and they don't usually release people who are injured. While the others were released simply because their performances weren't improving, there was more to Bodhi's story. Dave says one source told him that Bodhi got hurt a lot and there was heat on him for missing shows. Another source said he would not show up on time, and that he was also not showing enough progress.
