After watching the trailer again a few more times, I retract my previous statement about it. I like that they didn't shoot the load on it. It built a lot of excitement for me and I am so looking forward to it.

Yeah, its better not to see a whole lot of what is going on. I like to let my imagination wander when watching trailers anyway. One thing's for sure, Scott certainly knows how to do trailers properly, check out the one from Alien, which I consider one of the more effective trailers I've ever seen...

Wow, that trailer is quite awesome. I don't think I have ever seen it before. It was definitely a suspenseful trailer.

I love the sense of impending doom I get from the trailer and the fact that it seems the entire film will be claustrophobic and scary as hell, which it was.

It does make me want to watch it again, even though I just watched it a few weeks ago in my Alien marathon.

I was close to buying them all on Blu Ray today, but I figured it wasn't worth it because the first two were the only ones I liked. I didn't care for the third and fourth movies. They weren't terrible, though they were not good either. I would rather just own the first two, but they didn't have them. Just the box set.

I'd only go for the Blu Ray because they recorded new commentaries, but right now that's not enough to sway me. Also, I don't believe the workprint of Alien 3 is included, which is the only way I'll watch that movie.

I didn't find 3 to be terrible. It wasn't great though. I can only watch it every once in awhile. The 4th on the other hand, that was complete garbage. Not even bringing in Winona Ryder during the height of her popularity saved it.

I didn't mind 4 once I realized it was the director's attempt at making his version of an Alien film. Jeunet is a strange cat at the best of times so I liked seeing his take. I loved the cast too. Ron Perlman, Michael Wincott, Dan Hedaya, Dominiquie Pinon, Gary Dourdan, Brad Douriff, Leland Orser...that's some sick acting talent right there.

The cast was great in 4, don't get me wrong, it was the crap movie. I just didn't care for it. I seen what he was trying to do, but it didn't make it any better for me.

Workprint or theatrical version, it's still Alien 3. The Workprint, while an improvement over the original, still features the same inherent problems (for one, not a single character is likeable in this film).

I actually liked Alien 4 better than 3. There, I said it.

Either way you chop it up, Alien and Aliens were WAY better than 3 and 4 and probably the best sci-fi movies ever.
